When Connors left the laboratory, he didn't realize that he was always followed by a "little tail", which was the spider drone developed by Peter Parker.

At first Peter made it just so he could take some pictures for Jameson, but he took it too seriously.

He was so excited to add so many features to the drone that had nothing to do with taking pictures that now it would be overkill if used for taking pictures.

Peter designed it as part of the uniform, where it sits close to the chest and looks like the uniform's spider logo.

In order to make it as thin and light as possible, Peter put a lot of effort into the materials.

Through an app on your phone, you can see the view shared by the spider drone to the network.

In the picture, Professor Connors walked forward slowly, turned left and right after leaving the school gate, and finally disappeared at the corner of a street.

Peter also came here based on the satellite positioning of the drone. He found that it was a dead end. Unless Connors was as good at netting as he was, there must be another way.

Seeing the manhole cover with obvious signs of transportation wear, Peter immediately thought that Professor Connors had entered the sewer.

Peter lamented that, just like in the comics, Connors really liked to stay in ghost places like sewers and cause trouble.

Wouldn't it be better to change places?

Although Peter complained in his heart, his speed did not slow down. He took back the spider drone, removed the manhole cover and climbed down the ladder.

The light became dim as it went downwards, with only the sunlight penetrating through the gaps like a few light pillars, and small particles such as dust floating in the light pillars.

There was a wide groove for drainage in the middle, and the reddish-brown wall next to it was corroded with rough marks. Peter walked cautiously on the relatively dry path, and the sharp screams of the rats were annoying.

He kicked up a stone to scare away the group of whispering rats, and looked to the right as they fled in all directions but still tried to avoid it. There was a high probability that Professor Connors was there.

After all, even if Connors liked doing biological experiments, he wouldn't use these dirty, bacteria-filled sewer rats unless he wanted his experiments to fail.

So Connors will definitely use some method to drive away the rats. Whether it is biological control or something else is unknown.

Now this instead showed Peter the way.

Along the way, he used this method many times to find out the direction. After the last turn, he saw a bright light that was obviously not natural light.

Peter was sure he had found the right destination.

Professor Lizard set up a simple laboratory here, with a Sony camera pointed at the empty table. Presumably Konsner often recorded the staged results of experiments in front of the camera through videos.

There are traces of being scratched by some kind of animal's claws in various places, like deep grooves embedded in the hard walls and floors.

It should have been caused by Professor Connors in the lizard monster form, which means that he was indeed still in the lizard form before, and only changed back to a human after completing a certain experiment.

Just like in the school laboratory, Peter found that there were several incubators containing animals, and one of them was obviously empty.

The label affixed to the box was also soaked with some kind of liquid, making it impossible to tell what was originally inside.

The Sony camera was the only remaining clue.

So Peter started looking through the camera archives.

"Biological gene transfer experiment log record, first time."

"The first attempt to transfer lizard genes to rattlesnakes was successful. I am so happy. I believe it will not be long before I take off this lizard skin."

The speaker in the video is the professor who is still in the lizard state. At this time, he still has great confidence in his experiment.

But after the 561st time, he had completely fallen into despair.

"Biological gene transfer experiment log record, number 561."

"Failure, endless failure. No matter how I try, the result is failure. I hope there can be a clear conclusion that tells me that it is all meaningless, so that I can accept my fate with peace of mind. All the mouse experiments so far tell me , I am right, but if the experimental subjects are changed to humans, it will fail."

"I can't think of an answer."

At this stage, Professor Lizard is only one step away from his success, but it is precisely this crucial last step that he has never been able to cross.

He can heal animals, but not himself.

Peter selectively tuned out some less important videos, and the later professor had fallen into an endless loop of self-pity. Many of the videos show him scratching at his skin like a madman, trying to peel off this ugly lizard skin alive.

Until the last experiment, his thinking found a way out of the maze.

"Biological gene transfer experiment log record, the 700th time."

"I understand, I understand! The lizards' genes are defective. Their genes are so inferior that they will have side effects once they are transferred to humans."

Connors waved his paws excitedly and said: "You can't repair a barrel with a board that has holes in it. You have to find a good board... No, it's a perfect creature."

Then the camera pans to reveal Connors moving the camera to focus on a closed glass vessel.

The glass vessel contained a gooey mass that looked like chewing gum that had not yet dried.

Peter recognized that it was the symbiote. In the movie, Peter was once parasitized by the symbiote, and his temperament changed drastically, turning him into a somewhat bad Spider-Man.

Connors then conducted experiments on the symbiote, using tweezers to try to remove a portion of the symbiote's slime for genetic research.

But just as he opened the glassware, the sticky symbiote clung to Connors' hand at an extremely fast speed.

It grows like a vine, only the process looks more terrifying.

Connors became panicked: "No, it's alive! Get out of here, bastard. Get off me."

Although he tried desperately to tear at the tentacles of the symbiote, he still couldn't resist the fact that his body was slowly being wrapped by the symbiote.

Gradually, even the eyes were covered by darkness.

When Connors opened his eyes again, he could feel the tremendous power brought by the symbiote.

The video stopped abruptly when Peter saw this.

The screen of the extinguished camera dimmed, and the reflection of the lizard's claws magnified infinitely in the reflective screen. Peter's spider sense was stronger than ever before.

He quickly turned over to dodge the blow from behind, and the sharp claws passed by, slicing through his uniform and leaving three bloody flesh wounds on his body.

Peter looked directly into his snake-like cold eyes and said coldly: "Professor Connors...or should I call you Professor Lizard."
