What is Mandala Mandala?
When the Buddha was preaching, he once held a flower and smiled, which caused a rain of mandala flowers in the sky. Then the mandala symbolized tranquility, peace, good luck, and was an image of great auspiciousness in Buddhism.
The eminent monk Lama believed that Huang Taiji was the reincarnation of Manjushri Bodhisattva, so the palace where this Bodhisattva lived was naturally the auspicious mandala flower. So he used the mandala flower as inspiration to design a mandala with a round outside and a square inside. The mandala divides the imperial city into three areas: the palace city, the imperial city, and the outer city, establishing a harmonious, orderly, and prosperous Shengjing City.
The four white pagodas were also built by Huang Taiji in his later years after listening to the Lama's rumor that "the four pagodas will unite the world". They had a strong intention of praying for blessings and seeking profit. After the four white pagodas were completed, Yongguang Temple and Guangci Temple began to be built near the pagoda. , Yanshou Temple, and Faxiang Temple respectively enshrine four different Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in order to pray for merit and eternal stability.
I don’t know if the white pagoda really played a role. Not long after these pagodas were built, the previous dynasty indeed inherited the Zhu Dynasty and ruled the world when it came to Guanzhi. These four pagodas became a symbol of auspiciousness and became a symbol of prosperity together with the Heavenly Palace. Longxing blessed land.

They continued to be preserved outside the ancient city as symbols of Shengjing, just like the four legs of Xuanwu, supporting the sky of Fengtian City. .”
