Zhang Huihun frowned and said, "Let's get started."
An Ranpo applied the ointment to the wound, wiped it gently, and asked, "Does it hurt?"
"It's okay." Zhang Huihun closed his eyes.
I slowly applied the medicine on him, and then asked, "Husband, I never understand why you are so good to me?"
"It was just a whim," he said.
An Ranpo raised his head, blinked his beautiful big eyes and asked, "Is this just the case?"
He thought for a moment and said, "And you are my wife."
I asked softly, "Is it just because I am your wife?"
"You are the person I want to protect for the rest of my life, so naturally I have to treat you better." Zhang Huihun said.
A happy smile appeared on the corner of An Ranpo's mouth and she called her husband.
"Is it done?" he asked.
I nodded in response, "Okay."
Zhang Huihun pulled me into his arms and kissed me.
I can't help but shed tears when I think of how gentle, considerate and obedient he was to me in the past, and how he was hurt by me at the same time. "Husband."
"Why are you crying?" Zhang Huihun looked anxious.
I raised my head, with red eyes, and asked, "Husband, why are you so nice to me?"
"I just don't want you to leave me because of a word that makes you unhappy one day." Zhang Huihun secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Her tears couldn't stop falling and she said, "Husband, don't worry, I won't..."
He took off his clothes.
My face turned red with embarrassment, my eyes averted, and I shouted, "Husband..."
He pressed my hand.
An Ranpo blushed and said, "Husband, I..."
He tore off his skirt.
I breathed quickly and said, "Husband, no!"
Zhang Huihun felt a sense of sourness in his heart for some reason. He got up, put on his clothes, and slumped beside the bed.
An Ranpo looked at him in confusion and said, "Husband?"
Zhang Huihun's eyes darkened and he said, "Since Madam doesn't want to, I won't force it."
With tears in my eyes, I bit my lower lip and said, "No, husband."
"What is that?" He chuckled.
I was shy and anxious, so I had to turn away and said, "Husband, I..."
"You don't have to pretend to like me just because I protected you that day." He snorted coldly.
I became anxious and said, "Husband, you misunderstood."
"You don't have to pretend anymore." He opened his eyes.
I felt so wronged that I wanted to cry, shouting, "I'm not pretending!"
"If there is no disguise, then why do you refuse in every possible way?" He looked at me.
I was so aggrieved that I cried and said, "Husband, I...that's not..."
He couldn't listen anymore and drank heavily.
An Ranpo stopped crying, stood up, grabbed his wine bottle, and said, "Husband, don't drink any more."
"I just think my relationship with you is like a joke." He chuckled.
I looked panicked and said, "Husband, you..."
"I laugh at the meticulous care I take every day, just to let you question my feelings with just one sentence."
My eyes turned red and I said, "Husband, my feelings for you cannot be questioned."
"I laugh at my wife who clings to me every day and says she wants to be with me, but then pushes me away when she musters up the courage for the first time."
I cried and said, "Husband, it's really not what you think!"
"I laugh that my feelings don't matter in your heart."
I was so anxious that I held his hand and said, "Husband, that's not the case!"
"I laugh. It was just a whim, but I never let you down."
An Ranpo cried so much that she couldn't speak, and said, "Husband..."
"I laugh that I am fighting bloody battles on the battlefield to defend my homeland, but I cannot protect my wife." He shook his head with a wry smile.
