Taoist Mo Shang also felt that this matter was quite strange. He also wanted to hear what Master Shenhua had to say, so he said, "I wonder how Junior Brother Shenhua can tell that my brother is about to have the Five Qi Dynasty?"
Master Shenhua closed his eyes, but pointed at Taoist Mo Shang and said: "Brother, don't you know that your heart, liver, lungs, and kidneys have all been activated, and it is clear that the energy of fire is rising, the energy of wood is rising, and the energy of metal is rising. , the water qi is heading towards the Yuan, leaving only the earthy qi in the central spleen that has not yet turned towards the Yuan!”
"And there is a saying: If there is no desire, then the center will be earthy and energetic!"
"I believe that with my senior brother's level of cultivation, what kind of desires can he not see through?"
Taoist Mo Shang suddenly stopped, and then said: "Junior brother, don't be anxious, let me take care of it."
"The fire in the south is rising towards the Yuan Dynasty. It was when Senior Brother Xuan Chizi emerged that day. I felt the sincerity of Xiao Bai and sympathized with him."
"Thus, I have realized that being 'empty of sorrow' does not mean not being sad, but that after being filled with sorrow, you will no longer be hurt by it."

Taoist Mo Shang looked at Jiang Sibai and Qiuniang who was sleeping soundly on Jiang Sibai's body. He said: "Then the Eastern Wood Qi came towards Yuan. Thanks to Xiaobai and Qiuniang being by my side, I felt the joy of life. , intuitively life is gradually coming to perfection.”
"So I know that being 'empty of joy' does not mean that joy does not arise, but that you know joy and then cherish it. Then when you only feel the joy of life, there will be vitality coming out of the liver, and then the wood spirit will arise on its own."
Master Shenhua nodded repeatedly and said no more, just waiting for Master Mo Shang to continue.
Taoist Mo Shang added: "There is also the golden energy. When I was teaching Qiuniang to practice calligraphy, I was so angry that I almost broke the skill. But then I thought about it. After all, it is the nature of the child, so why should I be impatient with her?"
"So the anger gradually subsides and the golden spirit is born, and there is a saying that 'empty of anger, the golden energy of the west is rising'."
"I know the origins of the above three emotions, but I don't know the meaning of the word 'le' represented by the kidneys?"
Master Shenhua laughed loudly after hearing this and said, "Senior brother, have you forgotten your more than three hundred years of practicing the precepts?"
"Senior brother has realized the Tao and the three emotions in the world of human life, but do you really think that the monks like us who observe the precepts and practice are in vain?"
Taoist Mo Shang was suddenly shocked. He had already thought of something, but he didn't dare to be sure.
Master Shenhua has already said: "The so-called 'happiness' refers to the joy of the human body. Most people indulge in this kind of happiness, which makes the body empty and leaky."
"That's why when we first started, our elders asked us to observe the precepts and practice. Now I'm afraid it has become a habit."
"Senior brother is not interested in this, so naturally it is 'empty of joy, the water and vapor in the north are rising'!"
Jiang Sibai understood what he heard and suddenly realized something in his heart. He told his master's thoughts: "Uncle Master, do you mean that there is no fixed formula for the method of bringing five qi to the Yuan? It only depends on personal understanding?"
Master Shenhua nodded and shook his head after hearing this.
He said: "Senior Brother Mo Shang's three emotions of sorrow, joy, and anger are based on emotion and are the way to achieve it. In fact, this way is very dangerous. If you are not careful, you may be in danger of falling into the entanglement of ordinary cause and effect and not being able to escape."
"It's also the good luck of Senior Brother Mo Shang that he has found the taste of mundane things in Luo Yun Fairyland, and only then can he attain enlightenment through love."
"The most reliable and popular method is actually to keep the precepts. As long as you can keep the precepts and withstand the test, you can also be free from emotions and achieve the Tao."
Jiang Sibai was thoughtful after listening to this, and then he suddenly understood the significance of practitioners' practice of observing the precepts, because observing the precepts can be said to be the only traceable method of practice, and it can run through the beginning and end of the path of practice.
Therefore, practitioners can realize Taoism in this mortal world, and they can also practice Taoism by observing the precepts. Is there any other way?
He looked at Master Shenhua with an inquiring gaze, full of expectation.
Master Shenhua noticed his look, and then looked at his disciple who seemed to be "unfazed", and sighed in his heart.
Then he said: "There is another way to gain enlightenment."

Master Shenhua took in the changes in everyone's expressions, and then said: "There is another kind, that is, those who are born with wisdom. They can place their feelings on the Tao, and they can naturally easily break away from the barriers of the five emotions in this world."
"There are three ways to sum up the five qi Chaoyuan based on Pindao: the emptiness of the precepts is based on emotion, the worldly enlightenment of Tao is extremely emotional, and the Tao is based on emotion that puts emotion on the Tao."
The appearance of this last item made Gui Shenming's eyes brighten, as if she had found her direction.
On the contrary, Jiang Sibai forgot about it after hearing it, because he never thought about things outside his current realm.
He is still too far away from the Five Qi Dynasty and so on. Even if he knows the principle, it will not be helpful to his current refining of Qi, and it may even affect his current practice.
Therefore, today's sermon was not very rewarding for him. It can only be said that it confirmed some of the mental states required for spiritual practice.
However, he discovered through today's sermon that the more basic the practice method in this world is, the more cautious it is. On the contrary, when it reaches the advanced level, it feels quite comfortable.
Jiang Sibai felt that this was probably because laying the foundation was so important that even a little mistake would not be enough.
Once the foundation is solid, there will naturally be a variety of ways to play based on different people's conditions.
So when Master Shenhua finished his sermon today and began to ask if he had gained anything, Jiang Sibai said frankly: "After listening to so much, I only heard the importance of the foundation."
“Only with a solid foundation can we have the capital to make various attempts.”
Master Shenhua was stunned for a moment, then he laughed and said, "Senior Brother Mo Shang, I really envy you to have such a good disciple."
"Yes, the foundation is the most important. Whether it is empty of emotion, extreme of emotion, or Tao of emotion, there is no way to escape the support of the foundation."
Then he turned to Gui and said, "Did you hear me?"
"Even if you are a teacher, your current cultivation is still making up for the foundation that was lost back then, let alone you?"
It's just that Gui Shen said that he probably wouldn't care about such preaching. He just bowed and agreed quietly.
But what makes Jiang Sibai happy is that Taoist Mo Shang obviously gained a lot from this time.
On his road of five qi to the Yuan Dynasty, only the last central rustic qi remained.
