"Daozhang Sun's boxing skills are so smooth!" Looking at Sun Simiao sitting opposite him, Lu Chen directly complimented Sun Simiao.

"You are getting older!" Sun Simiao took the tea cup from Liu Jing, took a sip, then put down the tea cup and waved his hand with a smile.

"Master Sun is so humble!" Lu Chen responded with a smile.

"Is this the Erlang of the Kong family?" Only then did Sun Simiao look at Kong Zhiyue again, and then asked with a smile.

"Student Kong Zhiyue, I have met Divine Doctor Sun!" Kong Zhiyue hurriedly took two steps closer, bowed deeply to Sun Simiao, and then replied respectfully.

"Yeah! It is said that the Kong family has a long history of learning, and Erlang's words and deeds reflect it!" After looking at Kong Zhiyue up and down, Sun Simiao nodded and said.

"Miracle Doctor Sun is over-reputed!" Kong Zhiyue said still very humbly.

"The Kong family has always been educated at home, why is Erlang interested in medicine?" Sun Simiao picked up the teacup, took another sip, looked at Kong Zhiyue and asked.

"Students always think that rescuing people from danger and avoiding disasters, and protecting people from illness so that they don't die in vain are considered meritorious services!" Kong Zhiyue replied respectfully again.

"Oh?" After hearing Kong Zhiyue's words, Sun Simiao couldn't help but put down the tea cup and looked at the man standing in front of him again with some surprise.

Kong Zhiyue's words were not said casually. In fact, he only said half of them. His words came from the book "Baopuzi" written by Ge Hong, a medical scientist in the Eastern Jin Dynasty and a Taoist sage. The original words came from "Duisu", an inner chapter of "Baopuzi".

It records:

Or one may ask: "Those who follow the Tao should first establish merit and virtue. Is this true?"

Baopuzi replied: "Yes. According to the middle chapter of the Jade Seal Sutra, meritorious service is the most important thing, and removing mistakes is the second most important thing. Those who are Taoist should save people from danger so that they can avoid disasters, and protect people from diseases so that they do not die in vain. This is the most important thing. Gong also.

Those who want to be immortal should be based on loyalty, filial piety, obedience, benevolence and trust. If you don't cultivate your virtues and just practice alchemy, you won't be able to live forever. Those who do serious evil deeds will have their orders taken away from them, and minor offenses will be taken away from them. It depends on the seriousness of the offense, so how much will be taken away from them.

A mortal's life span has its own original number. If the number is large, it will be difficult to complete the life expectancy and death will be late. If the endowment life is small and the number of offenders is many, the life expectancy will be exhausted quickly and the person will die early. It is also said that if a person wants to be an immortal on earth, he should do three hundred good deeds; if he wants to be an immortal in heaven, he should do one thousand two hundred deeds. If you have performed one thousand one hundred and ninety-nine good deeds and suddenly do one evil deed, you will have lost all your previous good deeds, and you will have to regain the number of good deeds.

Therefore, good does not lie in the big, and evil does not lie in the small. Even if you do not do evil deeds, if you say what you have done and seek retribution for giving, you will lose the goodness of this deed, but you will not completely lose your hearing.

It is also said that if you have not completed your accumulated good deeds, even if you take fairy medicine, it will not be beneficial. If you don't take the elixir and do good deeds at the same time, even if you don't become an immortal, you won't suffer death. I even suspect that Peng Zu's generation has not done enough good deeds, so they cannot ascend to heaven. "

The original meaning of this passage was to ask about how to seek immortality, but Kong Zhiyue cut it off and just left out the sentence "for the Tao". However, this is not a big problem, although It was Xunxian who asked, but this sentence can be regarded as a way of saying that he is a doctor.

The reason why Sun Simiao was surprised by Kong Zhiyue's answer was because of Kong Zhiyue's identity. Sun Simiao did not expect that as a member of the Kong family, Kong Zhiyue would actually read Taoist classics.

"Has Kong Erlang ever dabbled in medical classics?" Sun Simiao looked at Kong Zhiyue and continued to ask.

"Replying to Dr. Sun's words, I dare not say that I have dabbled in it. I can only say that I have read some medical books!" Kong Zhiyue still answered respectfully, and at the same time he also mentioned the names of several medical books. Listening to the names of the medical books, Sun Simiao stroked his fingers. Beard nodded.

"Since you are determined to do this, Pindao can first let you be a registered disciple. Are you willing?" Sun Simiao looked at Kong Zhiyue, thought about it and said, in fact, it is not that Sun Simiao looks down on Kong Zhiyue, Kong Zhiyue Since he could read many medical classics and what he said, Sun Simiao recognized Kong Zhiyue's desire to seek medical treatment.

However, Sun Simiao also had his own considerations. First, Sun Simiao had a very high seniority in Xinglin. His disciples and disciples no longer knew how old he was. Up to now, the youngest disciple was over forty years old. Suddenly there was such a junior master. Uncle, and Kong Zhiyue has only read medical books and has no medical experience, which is somewhat difficult to convince the public. Of course, at this time, Sun Simiao had not yet met Lu Zhaolin, a great poet who was erudite and had a rough life. He is a close disciple of Sun Simiao.

On the other hand, Sun Simiao still wanted to examine Kong Zhiyue's character. After all, as a doctor, medical ethics was very important. Kong Zhiyue was a direct descendant of "the best family in the world". Sun Simiao still had to examine the character of a child of such a family. of.

"Disciple Kong Zhiyue, let me meet my mentor!" Upon hearing that Sun Simiao agreed to accept him as a registered disciple, Kong Zhiyue knelt down and kowtowed three times. Although he was not an official disciple, a "named disciple" was still a disciple!

"Get up!" Sun Simiao accepted Kong Zhiyue's kneeling ceremony calmly.

"Thank you, master!" Kong Zhiyue said in response, then stood up and stood behind Sun Simiao respectfully with his hands lowered.

"Congratulations to Taoist Master Sun for becoming a disciple!" Lu Chen directly congratulated Sun Simiao with his hands raised.

"It's just a registered disciple. Whether he can become a formal disciple, Pindao still needs to check again!" Sun Simiao said with a smile without hesitation.

"Registered disciples are also disciples!" Lu Chen responded with a smile, "Congratulations should be congratulated!"

"Kong Erlang, if you can become an official disciple of Taoist Sun, you have to work hard! I can only help you so far!" Lu Chen said, looking at Kong Zhiyue who was standing behind Sun Simiao, smiling. said.

"The kindness of the Lord's recommendation will be unforgettable by the students!" Kong Zhiyue naturally knew whose kindness it was for him to be accepted as a registered disciple by Sun Simiao, so he went straight to Lu Chen and bowed deeply, saying sincerely.

"There's no need to be unforgettable. Just don't imitate those children from aristocratic families!" Lu Chen waved his hand and said with a smile, then reminded Kong Zhi about who the "children from aristocratic families" Lu Chen was referring to, Kong Zhi Yue naturally knew that although he rarely left the Kong family, he was very clear about what happened in Chang'an City, and he was also very clear about the "grievances" between Lu Chen and Xiao Kai.

"Students, please remember your father's teachings!" Kong Zhiyue saluted again.

"Okay! I won't be here to delay your master and disciple's conversation! This will save you the chance of someone suspecting me of stealing my master!" Lu Chen stood up and joked with Sun Simiao.

"If I were interested in medicine, I'm afraid your achievements in medicine would have surpassed that of Pindao!" Sun Simiao replied with a smile after hearing Lu Chen's joke.
