The more times you pull, the thinner and more precise the groove formed.
The most complicated method of drawing rifling by hand is probably the combined ring knife broaching method.
On a tie rod, 25 to 30 high-quality alloy steel rings are fixed, with equal distance between each steel ring.
Each steel ring is machined with the same number of equidistant scrapers as the number of bore lines.
Each cutter can be connected to the cutter on the next ring according to its winding angle, and it can be regarded as a spiral line from beginning to end.
The protrusion of the blade on each ring is slightly larger than the previous ring, forming a series of cutters.
The grooves made have stable width, depth and spacing.
This combined annular broaching tool can cut all the bore lines once through the gun bore, shorten the working time, and improve the output and quality.
