The performance of our own Air Police 2000 is fine in all aspects, but this early warning aircraft uses phased array technology, which is currently not available at the current technological level.
In comparison, the A-50 has become the only choice at present.
After all, Soviet-style equipment is more compatible with ours, and in terms of platform selection for early warning aircraft, the IL-76 is easier to obtain than the E3 Boeing aircraft.
However, with the current domestic capabilities, it is not easy to produce the A-50.
After all, in addition to the early warning aircraft radar system called "Hornet", the A-50 early warning aircraft also needs a powerful display and storage system and a digital communication system.
