Gu Zhiyin's sleep was too long.
When he woke up, the night was thick and dark, and the room was even darker. He opened his eyes in confusion, unable to tell where he was.
There was a gap in the curtains, and a faint light reflected on the windows.
"wake up?"
A soft voice sounded from behind.
Gu Zhiyin turned around and touched the soft body. His heart moved. It was the warmth he lacked. He hugged her subconsciously.
Mu Ning was caught off guard and was tightly strangled. He paused and laughed, "What's wrong?"
Gu Zhiyin buried his head in her chest and whispered, "Didn't I still hold you before going to bed?"
Mu Ning followed his hair, her voice as soft as her body, "You were talking in your sleep, and then you pushed me away and turned around."
Gu Zhiyin was startled, "...What did I say?"
"I couldn't hear you clearly. Did you have a nightmare? You were shaking at the time."
Gu Zhiyin froze slightly, "I...trembled?"
"Well, my whole body is shaking, and my hands are shaking very badly."
Gu Zhiyin pursed her thin lips tightly.
Fortunately, the lights were not turned on in the room. In the darkness, Mu Ning could not see his pale face clearly.
"Did you dream of something scary?"
Gu Zhiyin swallowed and said in a low voice, "I can't remember clearly."
Mu Ning felt that his hair was very soft, and it was tangled on his fingertips. "Forget it. It's torture if you still remember the dirty things in your dream. But it's really strange to have something that scares you."
She thought he was trembling with fear, but in fact he was not dreaming at all.
He completely fell asleep and had no consciousness at all.
Gu Zhiyin didn't want to move or wake up.
He felt that his limbs did not belong to him and were not controlled by his brain.
Seeing that he didn't want to talk, Mu Ning said to himself, "I didn't dare to call you at that time, for fear of waking you up and not being able to sleep again."
Gu Zhiyin's sleep quality has always been poor, and Mu Ning wanted him to rest more.
Mu Ning's fingers traced the outline of his face, from his forehead to the bridge of his nose, "But this time, you slept for a long time."
Gu Zhiyin grabbed her hand and spoke slowly, "What time is it?"
"Ten o'clock."
He actually slept for seven hours.
"You should wake me up." Gu Zhiyin sat up, suddenly feeling a little dizzy.
He lay on the head of the bed, closed his eyes in a fit of dizziness and said, "Are you hungry?"
The voice was slow, low and hoarse.
"I'm not hungry." Mu Ning also sat up and lay on his broad shoulders.
Gu Zhiyin took two breaths and regained consciousness. He didn't want Mu Ning to lie here with him without eating dinner. He hooked Mu Ning's fingers and placed them on his stomach, and said in a hoarse voice, "I'm hungry."
Mu Ning rubbed his stomach gently, thought for a while and said, "All the delicious restaurants are closed at this time. Let's go home. I'll cook whatever you want to eat."
Gu Zhiyin felt very comfortable being rubbed by her, and the corners of her lips curved slightly, "I like everything you do."
Mu Ning reached out to turn on the light, "Close your eyes, it will be a bit dazzling."
The room was bright. Mu Ning frowned and adjusted to the light. He turned around and saw Gu Zhiyin's expression was dull and his heart tightened.
Why do you still look so bad after resting for so long?
"I'll get you some clothes and let's go home quickly."
After arriving home, Gu Zhiyin did not actually ask Mu Ning to cook, but ordered the servant to make a few simple dishes.
They didn't have dinner until after eleven o'clock. Everything in the villa was quiet, and the soft light of the restaurant fell down.
Gu Zhiyin chewed slowly and Mu Ning sat opposite him, holding his chin and watching him eat with a smile.
"See if I can eat enough?"
Gu Zhiyin raised his eyelids casually.
Mu Ning pursed his lips in disapproval, "Don't you know there is a word for beauty?"
There was a smile in Gu Zhiyin's eyes, and his tone was gentle, as if educating her, "Ning Ning, your mouth can not only be used for talking, but also for eating."
Mu Ning held up his chin ambiguously, blinking his big black eyes, "Besides eating, what else can you do?"
Something else...
Her eyes were seductive and she licked her lips, which made Gu Zhiyin a little angry.
"Are you sure you want to talk about this during dinner?"
"Which one?" She pretended not to understand.
Gu Zhiyin's unfocused eyes became dangerous in an instant.
Before he could speak, Mu Ning suddenly stood up and pressed towards him, tilted her head and kissed him on the cheek, with a smile on her face, "If I say anything else, can't I just kiss you?"
Gu Zhiyin hummed, "Is one kiss enough?"
"Then what else do you want to do?"
Gu Zhiyin stared deeply at her seductive red lips, feeling hot in his stomach, and said hoarsely, "Come here."
"I'm going to eat." Mu Ning sat down, looking proud.
Seeing her immersed in eating, Gu Zhiyin laughed dumbly, "I'll take care of you when I go back to the room."
Mu Ning had a bowl of white rice. He didn't eat much vegetables, so he put a big lump of rice in his mouth.
Gu Zhiyin shook her head helplessly and put the meat slices into her bowl, "It's delicious, don't be picky about food."
"Well, I lost weight recently."
"Can you lose weight just by eating rice?" Gu Zhiyin glanced at her, "You are so skinny that you don't have a few ounces of meat. You are not allowed to lose weight."
Mu Ning pouted, "You are really domineering. Lu Xinting is clamoring to lose weight, and Song Heng even specially made her a weight-loss meal."
"He likes to sleep with his ribs in his arms, but I don't like it." Gu Zhiyin was still picking up vegetables for her.
Mu Ning raised his eyebrows, "This is the difference between you and Song Heng. Whether you like it or not is more important. If you don't like it, I won't be allowed to do this. Song Heng considers the problem more from Tingting's perspective. For the same thing, what he cares about is whether Tingting likes it or not."
Gu Zhiyin stopped, "So, what do you want to say?"
She deliberately said in a sour tone, "Look at her boyfriend, I really envy Tingting."
Gu Zhiyin's face was expressionless, "How about the three of you go there?"
"..."
"Forget it, if you marry a chicken, you can marry a dog, I'll still live with you."
I was scolding him openly and secretly.
Gu Zhiyin laughed coldly, "Are you looking for a fight?"
Mu Ning coughed lightly and pointed to the small hill formed in the bowl, "I mean, you love me."
Gu Zhiyin was not angry, "It's good to know."
Everyone expresses love differently.
Gu Zhiyin said that she didn't like people who were too thin, but actually she felt sorry for her.
Mu Ning knew it in her heart, so she calmed down and ate obediently.
The originally harmonious atmosphere was interrupted by a "click".
Quite an abrupt sound.
Mu Ning was startled.
The chopsticks in Gu Zhiyin's hands fell on the table together with the vegetables he picked.
Mu Ning saw his hand froze in mid-air, his face turned pale, and finally noticed something strange about him, "What's wrong with you?"
Mu Ning reached out to grab Gu Zhiyin's hand, but he immediately retracted it and stood up suddenly, causing the chair to scrape against the ground with a harsh sound.
He turned around and walked upstairs. Mu Ning looked at his panicked back in surprise and followed him worriedly.
Fortunately, Mu Ning caught up with him and rushed up to support his tall body before he missed the step and slipped.
Mu Ning hugged his waist tightly and gasped, "It's so dangerous."
She raised her head in shock, only to see Gu Zhiyin's tense jawline, his whole body seemed to be frozen, leaning stiffly in her arms.
Finally, at Mu Ning's strong request, Gu Zhiyin was forced to go to the hospital for a check-up.
