, the Black Templars launched a Wrathful Crusade against the Maelstrom. As supporting forces, Watcher Chapters such as Star Claws, Lamenters and Mantis Warriors also launched assaults from several other directions.
In the course of the battle, they reclaimed many planets, wiped out some controlled by the Word Bearers, and eliminated the source of a virus that would blight the Empire. However, once again, before the end of the battle, the Black Templars were suddenly recalled by the Empire to support the Zerg threat in the Ultramarine Sector. The Watchers had to withdraw from the Maelstrom and were unable to continue to complete their original mission.
With the withdrawals one after another, the previously occupied territory was lost again, and more and more alien plunder occurred. Invaders from Orks and Chaos attacked more areas controlled by the Empire.
The lords and their allies in the Home Office, who had suffered earlier losses in commercial interests, finally found an opportunity to take revenge on Huron.
Citing a threat to the sector, they requested a fleet from Mars to investigate the fleet tithe.
Accompanied by a considerable number of armed escort ships, this fleet confidently tried to show off its armed power to Huron. Huron did not express much at first.
However, when the fleet passed through the Badab Iron Halo Defense System and went to investigate the Badabush Tax, as well as the withheld resources and the non-payment of gene seeds to the Star Claws, they were suddenly wiped out by the Star Claws' troops.
Although he killed the fleet, Huron did not raise a flag of rebellion at that time, but put forward a lot of defensive words to explain his actions.
In the end, considering that the entire Empire was at war and the Watchers were the legal protectors of the Maelstrom, the Empire ultimately did not punish this, but this incident marked the official beginning of the Badab dispute.
Terra has given up for the time being, but that does not mean that the local lords whose interests have been violated by Huron have also given up.
In order to regain the benefits of safe channels within the Maelstrom, the local lords continued to call for support from the Space Marine Chapters they had helped before, until the first Chapter, the Fire Eagle Chapter, came to support.
In order to avenge the past grudges with the Star Claws, the leader of the Fire Eagle Chapter sent several warships to investigate the mysterious disappearance of the transport ship near the Badab sector.
As a result, one ship was unwilling to disarm when it entered the territory of the Mantis Warriors. As a result, the ship was boarded and defeated.
The remaining 20 or so Fire Eagle warriors refused to surrender and fought to the end. During the battle, they informed the headquarters who had attacked them.
From there, the dispute literally turned into a complete tragedy.
The Space Marines on both sides began to fight against each other, calling for support from all sides, and the largest Astartes civil war since the Horus Heresy broke out.
But until this time, the war still has not evolved into a full-scale civil war. Both sides are trying to find a step to solve the problem.
Huron sent a message to the then Commander-in-Chief of the Loyalists, the Chapter Master of the Red Scorpions Chapter, saying that in order to avoid fratricide among all of our "brothers", he was willing to conduct face-to-face negotiations.
Despite the Inquisitor's strong opposition to any negotiations, the Red Scorpions Chapter led the Chief Thinker and the Honor Guard to negotiate with an abandoned fleet space supply station located in the orbit of a gas planet.
The two parties agreed that each party would only send one armed spaceship, and then take the Thunderhawk to the negotiation location outside the shooting range.
The negotiation took place in a huge cargo hold.
After the two sides met, the Huron side pointed out that it was not their side that had violated the laws of the empire, but that the Red Scorpions and the troops they led to encircle and suppress them had violated the laws, especially since the Fire Eagle Chapter had carried out attacks on the people of the empire after the spaceship incident. The atrocities of the Fire Eagle on the planets in the realm of the Mantis Warriors are the ones that need to be judged.
The Chapter Master of the Red Scorpions Chapter counter-questioned Huron's attack on the Tithe Fleet and his attempt to split up the empire in the Maelstrom Sector as a complete betrayal.
There is no doubt that the negotiations collapsed.
But the next development made the situation deteriorate dramatically.
Just as the negotiations were ending, three unidentified fleets suddenly appeared in outer space and attacked the negotiation site.
Then Chaos Space Marines, mutants and other cultists of unknown origin attacked both sides of the negotiations.
The final result was that the leader of the Red Scorpion Chapter and the Honor Guard were killed, and the leader of the Mantis Warriors and his entourage were also killed. Huron, who presided over the negotiations, mysteriously disappeared.
After the incident, both loyalists and separatists blamed each other for the incident, but there was no conclusion on who actually did it.
The Inquisitor's report to the Inquisition was that whoever benefited should be held responsible - no doubt pointing the finger at Huron.
Since then, the war has completely broken out, and the empire has assembled more than ten star warrior battle groups and a large number of mortal combat troops to head to the Maelstrom Star Region.
Huron persuaded several other Space Marine chapters who were also committed to defending the Maelstrom region, including the Executioners, Mantis Warriors, Lamenters and other chapters to join him in the war against the Empire.
They see themselves as dispensing justice, seeking to secure the Chapter's tradition of autonomy despite the unwarranted interference of the Imperial nobility, financial interests, and the unsavory Inquisition.
The war continued, culminating in the complete destruction of the Star Claw's defenses and the Chapter's home world of Primeval Badab.
During the Empire's final offensive, the Battle of Thorn Palace, the right half of Huron's body was destroyed by a fatal melta blast from Jurukar Andres, Captain of the Loyalist Chapter Star Phantoms.
The remaining 200 members of the Star Claws fled into the Maelstrom with the remains of their leader, where they established a new Chaos force.
Other Astartes Chapters that had joined the Separatist forces were forgiven by the Imperium, as they had been deceived rather than corrupted, in exchange for being sent to join the Crusade of Atonement.
Seriously wounded and unable to recover, Huron prayed to the Dark Powers, swearing that his souls and those of the remaining Star Claw members would forever serve the Force of Destruction in exchange for his health and the strength he needed to exact revenge on the Empire.
In the end, he survived, replaced his damaged limbs with bionic machines, and called himself Blackheart Huron.
Star Claw also became the Red Pirate.
"Where did that idiot Vicdelia go? Didn't he say he was going to catch the fat sheep? Why did he suddenly disappear!"
Huron leaned forward slightly, like a dragon stretching out its neck in a cave, carrying a strong threatening aura.
Then, a Chaos Wizard with a long staff stepped out from the shadow of the throne and stood at the foot of the Tyrant's steps.
His superhuman body is encased in a bejeweled power armor, draped in a large cloak, and his brain does not hide his face covered in bloated tentacles and fangs - as Huron's influence grows Expanding, more and more Chaos Space Marines with various interests and needs began to join his command.
The wizard bent slightly, the magic ornaments on his body jingled, and responded softly:
"Back to my lord, the last message sent back by Seriya revealed that Vicdelia may have been attacked. I'm afraid..."
"I'm asking you where he is! Not whether he is still alive!"
Huron's angry voice made everyone in the hall tremble.
"Well...according to the last positioning of Seriya, he is probably near the anchor point of the Storm Star Territory."
"Then go find him! No matter it's a corpse or something! The most important thing is..."
Huron stood up suddenly, the sharp claws on his hands clanked, and slowly closed them together.
"...Let me know who stole the Vicious Divine Power and Seriya, and I will personally tell him what will happen to the thief!"
As he spoke, the tyrant paused.
"Post a reward!! Anyone who catches this thief, even a corpse! No matter who it is, I will give him a satisfactory price! Go! Tell everyone!"
"As you command, Master."
A few days after entering the physical space, a bounty issued by the Red Pirates quickly spread in the areas very close to the Maelstrom Star Region, and further spread in the subspace. Many Chaos warbands began to prepare to move...
