Qiniang once said: "The weakness of most men is not themselves, but their family members. So the boys who were bold when they were young, become timid when they have worries. They don't dare to do this, they don't dare to do that, and they look forward and backward. I always think about my responsibilities as a father and husband, so I live for others."
Qiniang also said that people with families and a group of people who have to support their families can easily manipulate them. They can only accept it and don't dare to fall out. On the contrary, it is a young bachelor like Qi Xuansu who can feed the whole family without worrying about it. This is the real thorn in the side. If you choose to give up your choice, you can give up your choice. Everything can be done according to your own heart. Apart from using force, there is really no good way. .
Nowadays, Qi Xuansu is considered to be half a bachelor. His lowest status also has the advantage of being low. Only others can threaten Zhang Yuelu and Qiniang with him. No one can threaten him with Qiniang and Zhang Yuelu. After all, he really has the ability to control Qiniang and Zhang Yuelu. It is necessary to threaten Qi Xuansu, just take Qi Xuansu together.
In a sense, Qi Xuansu really has nothing to be afraid of. If someone tries to trick you, you can do it. His only weakness is the identity of Qingpinghui. Not to mention that very few people know about it. Even if they know it, they may not dare to expose it, because behind this weakness is Qiniang, and behind Qiniang is the Yao family and the Pei family. , or even most of Quanzhen Dao, after bringing these things out, aren't they afraid of being silenced by Earth Master and Master Donghua?
The Taiping Dao was able to eliminate people all the way from Jiangling Mansion to Jinling Mansion, and finally burned Zhenwu Temple. Is the Quanzhen Dao easy to deal with? In the quagmire of the world, no one is like a white lotus that emerges from the mire and remains unstained. Everyone has blood debts on their hands. Otherwise, why would the three great avenues keep these secret societies? Just doing the dirty work.
Therefore, except for the Li family, I am afraid that no one can make a move. The reason why Master Cihang tactfully warned Qi Xuansu was only because of Taiping Dao and the Li family, not anyone else.
Mr. Gao's power is not small, far behind the Li family.
Because of this, Qi Xuansu came to the Imperial Palace and acted very tough, just to cross the river to suppress the local snake, and to establish his authority. As long as Master Gao is taken down, he will be punched away. Not only will people outside be afraid of him, but people inside will also think highly of him. This so-called "tenth deputy palace master" title will be confirmed. .
Human nature is always complex, and it is impossible to be purely noble or to only talk about interests. It is hard for Qi Xuansu to say how much he did it to do justice to people's hearts, and how much for his own future. It should be a mixture of both. In one place, it's hard to tell the difference.
Qi Xuansu thought there was nothing wrong with it. Who said that good people must be poor and hard-working? Who stipulates that good people cannot have power, fame and fortune? It goes against human nature. Doesn’t this force people to be bad people?
He has no objection to being a good person, he can enjoy Taoism, and he can live in poverty. He spent the first twenty years of his life in poverty, and he has really lived a poor life. Some Buddhist monks always advise people to "let go", so Qi Xuansu had to say: I haven't picked it up yet, my hands are empty, why are you talking about letting go? Do you want to let go of some thoughts? As the saying goes, it's better to block than to block. No matter whether it's power or wealth, at least wait until I have the real thing in my hands. It won't be too late for you to persuade me to let it go.
Among the three religions, Qi Xuansu has always looked down upon the monks. Confucianism and Taoism all have corresponding concepts of governing the country. Only Buddhism is an alien. If Buddhism is allowed to govern the country, it will probably return to the slave age.
A Taoist patriarch once said that there is only one half-sage in the world, one saint is the Supreme Taoist Patriarch, and half-sage is the Holy Master. Taishang Taoist Ancestor has "Tao Lun" and "De Lun", which are collectively called the Five Thousand Words of Morality. They have both a view of the world and a view of the universe. The human universe jointly builds a complete world. However, the most sage master only had a view of the world and no view of the universe. Therefore, thousands of years later, Taishang Taozu's ideas and concepts still shine in the world, but Confucianism continues to be criticized.
But even so, Confucianism is far superior to Buddhism.
The Buddha had neither a view of the universe nor a view of the world. He could only boast about how many demons he had subdued, how terrifying hell was, how majestic the Buddhist kingdom was, how beautiful the paradise world was, and what magical powers he had. He also talked about merits and virtues. The fundamental of persuading people to do good lies in accumulating merits. Accumulating merits in this life and placing all hopes in the next life. To put it bluntly, how is it different from deceiving oneself and others? How ridiculous is it to lie to yourself that you will suffer in this life and enjoy happiness in the next.
Moreover, Buddhism's promises to believers have always been empty. According to Buddhism, turning the prayer wheel and chanting sutras will bring merit. Turning the prayer wheel once is equivalent to reciting the Tripitaka once. Turning it twice is equivalent to reciting all Buddhist sutras. Turning it three times can eliminate all obstacles of body, speech, mind and sin. If you turn it ten times, you can eliminate the sins and obstacles like the king of Mount Sumeru; if you turn it a hundred times, your merits will be equal to that of King Yama; if you turn it a thousand times, you and others can realize the Dharmakaya; if you turn it ten thousand times, you can make yourself and others All sentient beings are liberated; those who turn a hundred thousand times can reach as far as the sea of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva meeting all the saints. Turning the wheel a million times can bring peace and happiness to all sentient beings in the six-path wheel; turning the sound wheel thousands of times can relieve all sentient beings in the six-path samsara from suffering; turning the wheel hundreds of millions of times, the merits are equal to those of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva.
In other words, after committing a sin like that of the King of Mount Sumeru, turning the prayer wheel ten times will cancel it out. In one hundred weeks, you can become the emperor of the underworld, in one thousand weeks, you can become an immortal, in ten thousand weeks, you can turn the human world into the ideal world of great harmony of Confucianism. If you take ten million weeks, not only will the human world be purified, but even hell will be transcended. . God knows why Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva didn't become a Buddha. He just had to reincarnate thousands of times.
It is also said that the materials of rosary beads are different, and the merits obtained when reciting and practicing are very different. What is the difference between two times the core, five times the red copper, ten times the pearl and coral, ten thousand times the lotus seed, ten million times the diamond seed, and countless bodhi seeds? What's the difference? Nowadays, workshops are so developed that it is not difficult to mass-produce Bodhi seeds. Will everyone enter the world of great harmony by pinching Bodhi seeds with their hands?
For such a promise, even if all the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Arhats fed it, let alone cutting the flesh and feeding it to the eagle, it would not be able to repay it.
What's this? This is an unfounded business that deceives believers into thinking they are fools just for the sake of incense and power.
If everyone believes in Buddhism, everyone seeks the next life, and there is no ambition at all. If everyone goes to chant sutras and create merit and does nothing to produce, what difference does it make if they are like cattle and sheep waiting to be slaughtered?
No wonder Confucianism often says that believing in Taoism will only lead to loss of wealth, but worshiping Buddhism will only loose luck. I would rather let the emperor refine elixirs and practice Taoism than believe in Buddhism. As for why the Taoism does not break up luck, it is because the Taoism of the upper class is different from that of the people at the bottom. The upper Taoism is based on refining elixirs for immortality, while the bottom Taoism is mainly about rebellion.
During the time when Buddhism and Taoism merged, Taoism was also influenced by Buddhism, and became corrupt and began to talk about magical powers. Playing with incense and making vows, the Buddhists hung him up and beat him up. It was during this period that Sun Zhenjun died and was completely crushed by the Great Sun Tathagata.
At this time, the Taoist sect has abandoned the Taishang Taozu's view of the universe. The ideas are confused and the principles are nonsense. In terms of managing the world, benefiting the people, and governing the country, the Confucian sect has been beaten. There is no trace of the magnanimity of Huang Lao when he was in power. In essence, Reduced to the bottom of the three religions.
As a result, the Taoist sect was divided into two factions. One faction relied on the inner and outer elixirs to please the powerful, relied on the court, and took the upper-level route. One faction returned to Huang Tiandangli's old profession, developed to the bottom, began to accumulate strength, and prepared for rebellion. In the end, the rebel faction naturally won, and won a great victory. Taipingdao, which had disappeared for thousands of years, rose again, but the great virtuous master became the national master.
After Xuansheng integrated the Taoist sect, he set things right and abandoned the theories about strange powers and chaotic gods that were developed from the sect. He reaffirmed the Five Thousand Words of Taishang Taozu as the foundation and respected Taishang Taozu. Except for the founders of the Sanqing Dynasty and the real founders such as Sanguan Emperor and Nanhua Daojun, many other immortals and Buddhas have been deliberately downplayed.
Although this move was to rectify the source, it also indirectly accelerated the break between Taoism and Buddhism, and even led to an all-out confrontation between the ancient immortals and Taoism. Because these ancient immortals were originally the gods of the Taoist sect, but the new Taoist sect headed by Xuansheng deliberately downplayed them, which was equivalent to cutting off their way of life. How could they not rebel?
In the end, the Taoist sect decided to recruit True Lord Taiyin after some consideration. The main reason was that True Lord Taiyin borrowed objects to become a god. Taiyin is the moon. It was not made up out of thin air, but it was slightly different.
After Xu Feiying left, Qi Xuansu and Zhang Yuelu chatted for half an hour.
Regarding Qi Xuansu's series of actions, Zhang Yuelu always knew that she was only concerned about the development of the situation, but did not give any instructions or even make many suggestions, leaving it entirely to Qi Xuansu himself.
Zhang Yuelu is a self-reliant woman who does not need others to bring her a sense of security, nor does she need others to protect her from wind and rain, nor does she need a man to rely on. But she doesn't want to find a vassal or slave. She doesn't have such a strong desire to control, and she doesn't intend to have her partner obey her orders. What she wants is equality, harmonious coexistence, common deeds, and walking side by side, so she is happy to watch Qi Xuansu grow up slowly. Take Qi Xuansu's "last words" as an example, that is, you must let go when things come to an end.
After Zhang Yuelu listened to Qi Xuansu's "report", he did not comment and just said: "If I were that Mr. Gao, I would probably have to go to the door and surrender, leaving Qingshan here, and plan for later."
Qi Xuansu said: "When I was studying in the palace, it was said in the book that what you can't get on the battlefield, you can't get at the negotiation table. He killed my people and wanted to scare me, but he underestimated me. These things People have lived in peace for too long, and they think that the death of a person is a big deal. What big deal is this? Who can scare it? It can only be a crime plus one."
Zhang Yuelu said: "I can't scare you, because there is Master Donghua standing behind you, and I can't transfer you away, let alone get a handle on you. If I still can't sue for peace, I can only fight to the death and risk my life. We may even choose to kill you directly, and we will both be destroyed. You have to be careful.”
Qi Xuansu nodded and said, "I know it well."
Zhang Yuelu had other things to do, so he didn't chat for too long and ended the conversation quickly.
At this time, there were less than two hours left before dawn, and Qi Xuansu simply didn't sleep all night again.
Early the next morning, Wang Chongnian followed Qi Xuansu's instructions and began to erect wooden stakes in the square in front of the Jade Palace. It happened to be the location where the Taishang Taozu lantern tower was built during the Xiayuan Festival. As soon as you enter Xuan Shang Beifang, you can see Be clear. The "famous mouthpieces" among the many storytellers in the Imperial City also came here one after another.
The man is ready, takes off his shirt, exposes the sores, and is tied to a stake.
The person was arrested by Qin Lingguan, and Zhou Lingguan was responsible for guarding him. Wang Chongnian explained the dangers of taking "Wu Shi Powder" on the spot and preached the need to ban "Wu Shi Powder". The manuscript was written by Ke Qingqing.
It's a pity that Qi Xuansu's signing room cannot be seen. If the real person's signing room is located at the highest place, he can probably see it clearly.
