After Qin Lisheng came to power, he began to preach the principles of Mohism.
There are almost no people who really listen carefully.
It's not that the audience looks down on the Mohists, it's simply because the Mohists have been around for a long time, and the ten principles of the Mohists have not changed at all until now. Who needs to repeat them over and over again?
Even if the Mohist master himself narrated it, he couldn't tell anything new, and everyone's ears would be filled with cocoons.
Some people even say that Qin Lisheng is simply the most relaxed Mohist giant. He does not need to lead the Mohists to find someone to risk his life, nor does he need to make any changes to the Mohist ten principles. He can handle it if he changes a dog.
Such words full of jealousy are not without listeners.
But, this is just an appetizer.
Let's talk about it, there is no need to be so angry on the first day, especially when Emperor Xia is coming to visit. If someone is forced to become anxious, it will not be good to spread the news.
For the first time, everyone will talk about the ideas in their hearts, the ways in which their ideas can be developed in reality, and their expectations for the future.
In short, it is to go up and draw a pie, and see who draws more realistically, and who draws a pie that is more delicious and can conquer the audience present.
Only after clearly expressing one's own ideas can it be easier for others to understand and criticize. Now is the "preaching" stage.
The real debate is not today.
After Qin Lisheng took out the Ten Principles of the Mohist School and spoke about it again, he came down from the stage and went to the audience seat, sitting next to Wang Mang.
No one found fault with him when he took the stage, just to show off to Emperor Xia. Anyway, this discussion will continue until the spring plowing of the next year. It will take several months to understand everything, and there is no rush.
"Now, I would like to ask Xun Ke, a disciple of Mozi and a master of martial arts, to tell everyone about his ideas. If there are any objections, please raise your hands."
Another summons.
After Qin Li's victory, Xun Ke was next.
And Xunke doesn't have any stage fright. He is already forty years old and looks very calm. He is far from the little kid who was powerless in the face of everything. He has strong self-confidence and piercing eyes.
"I said that human nature is inherently evil, and then I talked about etiquette."
After taking the stage, Xun Ke directly expressed his core concepts without saying any nonsense.
Moreover, the theory of evil nature comes first, and the rest comes later.
It is a judgment that shows that everything is formed because of this.
Xun Ke said: "The stars are spinning, the sun and the moon are shining brightly, the four eras are in control, the yin and yang are changing, the wind and rain are spreading, all things have their harmony to live, each have their nourishment to achieve success, without seeing its deeds, you can see its achievements. This is what I call God. Everyone knows why it is made, but no one knows that it is invisible. This is what I call Heaven."
No one with any skills would understand what this passage means.
Heaven is natural and has no reason, will, good or evil, likes and dislikes. Heaven is the natural Heaven, not the personal God. He called the subtle functions of yin, yang, wind, rain, etc. God, and the natural world composed of these functions called heaven. The creation of the universe was not created by God, but was the result of the movement of all things themselves.
Xun Ke also said: "The behavior of Heaven is constant. It does not exist for humans, nor does it destroy humans. If it is governed, it will be good, and if it is chaotic, it will be misfortunes. Therefore, heaven can create things, but cannot distinguish things. Earth can carry people, but cannot rule them. . Heaven has its own time, earth has its talents, and people have their own governance."
The way of heaven will not change due to human emotions or will. It is completely indifferent to people's distinction between good and evil. There is no connection between them. Whether it is good or bad depends entirely on personal efforts.
Here, there has been a huge conflict with the Ming ghosts of the Mo family.
And this is not the end, Xun Ke continued: "Humans are born with interests, diseases and evils, desires of ears and eyes, and lust. People must follow human nature and follow their emotions. Out of contention, it is appropriate to commit chaos and end up in violence."
People's natural pursuit of material conflicts with morality itself. Xunke believed that the disposition of natural endowment itself is evil. Therefore, if it follows its own development, it will cause competition between people, thieves and murders, leading to social chaos. This is the theory of evil nature.
"Human nature is evil, and the good ones are hypocritical. Zong Ming's nature is the same as Mozi's, and the gentleman's nature is the same as the villain's. The etiquette, justice, and laws can make people benevolent."
Human nature is the same. Emperor Zongming and Mo Qiu are both human beings. Why are there such big differences? That is the person's own efforts. The acquired environment and experience play a decisive role in his own transformation.
The theory of evil nature does not mean that everyone should be a bad person, but that because we are born with evil nature, we need etiquette education to improve this, and ultimately everyone can be benevolent.
"I say that Long Li respects the virtuous and becomes a king, respects the law and loves the people and hegemons. The rule of law, etiquette and punishment, a gentleman is to cultivate the peace of the people. The etiquette determines the relationship, and the law can determine the status. Therefore, if the etiquette is applied to the body and practiced, righteousness will be applied to the country. And if the government is wise, it can be honored with courtesy and reputation, the world will be willing, and it can prohibit it, and the king's work is completed."
Xun Ke believed that the way to govern a country must be to apply both etiquette and law, and to unify kings and hegemons, and etiquette and justice are the spirit of legislation. If people love etiquette and justice, their actions will naturally be legal, and people will naturally do good deeds without even being punished. Is there anything wrong with a country?
In this regard, why did he put forward the "theory of evil nature" and what was the basis for his theory of evil nature. He even gave an example of Emperor Zongming and Mo Qiu, and finally gave his own solution.
It can be said that it perfectly demonstrates its own concept.
Even though many people looked displeased, they could not say that he was talking nonsense. Even if they wanted to refute, they had to be well-founded.
At least in Xun Ke's own concepts, everything is self-consistent and logical, and is quite mature and perfect.
He had already found a solution to the problem that Gu Dan had left for him back then, and he had also put forward his own solution for the world to comment on.
After saying this, Xun Ke also walked down and returned to the audience seat.
"Next, I invite Yang Zhu, a martial arts master who has traveled to various countries, to talk about his ideas. If there are any opponents, please raise your hands."
After another summons, Yang Zhu took the stage.
He was wearing a Taoist robe and looked quite old, but he was in good spirits, and his face was quite kind, without showing any sharpness. He was not in a hurry to talk about his own ideas, but instead briefly commented on what Xun Ke said. Ichiban.
"I strongly agree with Xun Ke's theory of evil nature. Human nature is evil, which is the law of heaven!"
Taking advantage of this, Yang Zhu said: "In ancient times, if you lose a penny to benefit the world, you won't give it back; if you know that the world is dedicated to you, you won't take it away. If everyone doesn't lose a penny, everyone will be detrimental to the world, and the world will be governed. Those who are good at governing outsiders. , things may not be governed; if we govern well internally, things may not be in chaos. If we govern externally, our laws may be temporarily implemented in one country, but not in line with the hearts of the people; if we govern internally, we can apply them to the world.”
Everyone governs his own country and respects himself, and does not invade or harm each other. Everyone respects and loves himself. Isn't it just that everyone is in his own place? Is the world governed?
"In terms of life and death, everyone is like this. In life, there are differences between the virtuous and the foolish, the poor and the humble, and death is all reduced to rotting bones. Emperor Zongming is no different from Mozi. There is a time in life, and you should value yourself first. Life is hard to meet, but death is easy. And, in life, I seek happiness, and after death, I return to the dust, so I am precious.
If you indulge yourself for a while, don't lose the happiness you had in the past; if you let your heart move, don't go against the will of nature; if you let your heart wander, don't go against the will of all things; don't dwell on the bad reputation of the moment, and don't want the residual glory after death; don't envy your life, don't If you envy fame, position, or goods, you will not be afraid of ghosts, people, power, or profit.
Following the nature of nature, things can be enjoyed as soon as they are nourishing and healthy, irreversible and long-lived, accumulated things can lead to tiredness, a rich house and beautiful clothes, rich taste and beautiful appearance can satisfy people's desires. This is the way to preserve your integrity, the art of taking things lightly and valuing yourself! "
Yang Zhu talked eloquently and directly borrowed some of Xun Ke's views.
When he talks about valuing oneself, it is not that he is harming others and not benefiting himself, but that he is neither harming others nor benefiting others. As long as everyone is like this, there will be no Emperor Zongming and no Moqiu. Where can there be fighting? ?
Compared with Xun Ke's complete set of combination boxing, Yang Zhu simply started from human nature and clarified his own concepts.
While he was speaking, many people in the audience had covered their ears to show their contempt.
Some people were already whispering curses below.
However, Yang Zhu didn't care at all and walked off the stage with a smile, quite graceful.
As soon as he got off the ground, the official who was presiding over the sutra discussion immediately ran up and said, "I'd like to invite Zou Dan to talk about his ideas. If there are any objections, please raise your hands."
Zou Dan came to the stage and eliminated Qin Lisheng, who was bound to be the first one at the beginning. He was the third one to take the stage.
This is enough to show that his ideas have been recognized by some people.
"I agree with Brother Xun's views on heaven and earth, but it needs to be more specific."
When he came to the stage, Zou Dan actually imitated Yang Zhu and supported Xun Ke first.
The difference is that Yang Zhu agreed with the theory of evil nature, while Zou Dan agreed with Xun Ke's understanding of heaven and earth.
"The four directions above and below are called the universe, and the past and present are called the universe."
A long time ago, our ancestors had some understanding of the place where they lived, and they also gave an explanation for the larger places that had not been touched. Together, they are the two words "yu" and "zhou".
The universe is space and the universe is time.
Zou Dannai was Qing Pingzi's apprentice and was born as an alchemist. He deeply understood how important it was to attract attention with just one mouth. He was the first to throw out the concept of the universe itself, which is why he came to do this.
"In the universe, all things are divided into yin and yang. They are regarded as good and evil, as pros and cons, as gains and losses, as good and bad. They all exist within it. They evolve and form themselves. They cannot come out of it or come out of it. Yin and Yang have names. invisible."
Zou Dan said: "The evolution of yin and yang, the five elements are interdependent. The five elements: one is water, the second is fire, the third is wood, the fourth is gold, and the fifth is earth. These five elements illuminate everything in the world and are inseparable."
He divided everything into three levels.
The first is the universe, which includes everything in the four directions, up and down, throughout the ages.
In the universe, yin and yang coordinate everything, and the unity of opposites that corresponds to each other and complements each other comes from these two. That is, everything carries yin and embraces yang. The interaction of yin and yang is the universe.
The universe is a concept, and Yin and Yang are the expression of the concept itself.
Yin and Yang then evolved into the more specific Five Elements, and finally became the real world that people can actually see and feel.
It's just that his words were too grand. Although many in the audience were sure that they hadn't missed a word, they just blinked and couldn't understand.
In the audience, Gu Dan looked at Qing Pingzi beside him. In the twenty-fifth year of the Xia Dynasty, Qing Pingzi came back again, "Is this what you taught him?"
"That's not true."
Qing Pingzi shrugged slightly and said with an innocent face: "I haven't been back for so many years. Don't blame the master for the apprentice's affairs. This is what he has figured out himself. At best, I gave him a little bit. Inspiration.”
"It sounds like that's the case."
Gu Dan listened for a while and commented.
"That's not the case. If you directly apply the knowledge of immortality to the real world, you will know more than mortals and be more correct."
Qingpingzi said confidently.
In fact, the yin and yang and five elements mentioned by Zou Dan are not so new.
One of the hurdles that the Grandmaster needs to face is called the Sympathy of the Five Elements. How could he not have an understanding of this aspect?
It's just that Zou Dan connected all these things and summarized them into one.
The knowledge that exists in the higher level, the immortal way, and the phenomena in the mortal world are related and self-consistent.
"Speaking of which, it's been so long, why hasn't the immortal come back yet?"
The two of them chatted as if there was no one around, but in fact the sound was transmitted secretly. Only each other could hear it, and they didn't worry about being noticed by outsiders.
"Maybe something happened to the immortal?"
Qingpingzi seemed a little unhappy when he mentioned this. This was one of the main reasons why he came back this time, which was to ask Gu Dan to help him.
He is already very old!
When Gu Dan first came to this world, he was a popular figure around Emperor Zong Ming for ten years.
From the 22nd year of Zongming to the 25th year of Xia Dynasty, a full forty-six years have passed!
His age is now almost a hundred years old.
According to the grandmaster's lifespan of 120 years old, Qingpingzi can only live for more than 20 years at most. This is based on his ability to live to the end.
Even if the immortals return, cultivation will take time. You can't expect to break through the realm and extend your life when you are about to die, right?
Based on this calculation, it will take more than ten years to cut off. This is still a conservative estimate.
In other words, within ten years, if the immortal does not come back, Qingpingzi will die of old age.
This time when he returned to the Xia Dynasty, he begged Gu Dan to give him some green wood liquid to ensure that he would not live to the end.
Time will not spare anyone. It allows a child who was powerless at the time to stand on the stage today and talk about his ideas. However, it also allows a guy who was only one person in his heyday to face the embarrassment of his life approaching.
If there is no turning point, there is only one word of death.
Who has never died since ancient times?
If there is no hope, then that's it, but it's clear that the stars have fallen in the night, and there is news. If this can't come, Qing Pingzi will not be reconciled.
The scariest thing is not having no hope, but seeing hope but not being able to grasp it.
"misfortune."
Reciting these two words, Gu Dan looked towards the stage.
One after another, heroes and talents that he had never heard of before came up and talked about their ideas.
Times have changed and things have changed a lot.
The Grand Master is only a part of the world and cannot see all the changes.
Where does this change come from?
Gu Dan is also accumulating strength in the power of time, waiting to witness the change with his own eyes.
