Not long after, everyone saw the monks coming to invite them to understand the mysteries of the Jade Buddha, so they all went to Pilu Pavilion. Arriving in front of a courtyard, the Guiding King put his hands together and turned back to face everyone. However, they saw that the gate of the courtyard was closed tightly, and four disciples of the Vajra Hall lined up on the left and right to guard it.
The Guiding Vajra said: "Amitabha, understanding the Buddha's Dharma is a matter of thinking, and there are so many donors. In order to avoid unnecessary complications, I have to accept a test first."
"Oh? What test? Why is it so troublesome..." When they heard that there was a test, many people shouted that they disagreed, and some were even ready to take action.
"Dear donors, please be patient. Since you are studying Buddhism, you must understand Buddhism. This test is not difficult. It is just a few questions on Buddhism. In order to maintain order and save time, only one person can enter at a time. I would like to ask everyone to wait in this pavilion one by one, otherwise, I am afraid no one will be able to see this Jade Buddha."
Everyone heard this arrangement and it was reasonable. Although they were reluctant, they did not want to blaspheme the Buddha, so they went to the pavilion in front of the courtyard to wait. Each time one person entered, got to know each other's names, and answered Master Huicheng's questions. It is common knowledge in Buddhism such as the two attachments, the three treasures, the four elements, the five aggregates, the six roots, the Diamond Sutra, and the Sixth Patriarch of Zen. But even so, we have already distinguished those who have some good roots from those who are a Chanti. Eminent monks such as Xuan En of Dongshan Temple and Huizhong of Duzunshan were able to capture them, but there were also quite a few people such as Tie Lian and Wang Yisi who had no chance to continue to enter, while White Lotus disciples such as Lin San and Tang Saier often studied Zeng Jinyi also enjoyed reading a lot of books in her boudoir, so it was naturally not difficult for her. Chen Quanzhong, Zou Sansheng, Ming Zongxia and others were well-informed on the one hand, and they had strict family education and extensive knowledge on Buddhism, so they were able to pass it. After passing the pass, we entered the Amitabha Temple in the courtyard.
At that time, Wang Yisi was so filled with hatred that he actually got into a fight and confronted a group of Vajras. Huicheng hurriedly went to the entrance of the hospital and announced: "Someone deliberately caused trouble and did not follow the rules to meditate on Zen. To ensure the safety of the Jade Buddha, it has been moved to another place." Only then was Chen Quanzhong stopped at the entrance of the hospital and the test continued as usual. .
The Amitabha Temple was actually just a room built above the entrance of a cave. After everyone entered the nunnery, they followed a guide King Kong into the cave. The cave was also spacious, with lights shining on the four walls. It was just a path to go forward, and No forks in the road. Suddenly, his eyes lit up, and he came to an underground hall, which could accommodate about two hundred people. The candlelight on the four walls suddenly lit up, and Huicheng and more than 20 disciples from the King Kong Hall appeared in front of them.
"All donors, those who can come here are all people who have a predestined relationship with my Buddha. Next, the road we have to take is not easy. If there are people who don't know kung fu, we have to wait here to drink tea. Later If there is some understanding, the poor monk will send his disciples to come and tell him, so that you can study together."
"Hmph, I think your Guanghua Temple is deliberately trying to tease others. If you want to realize together, why would you move it into this deep cave?"
"My friends, you don't know. This natural jade Buddha is different from other objects. I found it from an abandoned cave. At that time, it didn't have any luster. Only one person said that there were many words vaguely seen on the base. , but those servants were illiterate, so they just dug out the Jade Buddha, and the cave collapsed at that time. When I looked at it again, the base was exactly the same as before, without a word. Later, I presented the Jade Buddha to Guanghua Temple and talked with Hui Hui. When Master Cheng mentioned this, it was also because he was devoted to studying Buddhism and tried many methods to find a place in the cave that could reproduce the writing on the base. However, the situation under the ground was complicated, and the road leading to the place where Buddha was worshiped was complicated. But it is not easy to leave, so Master Huicheng had to make such arrangements." Jin Yuanwai's words immediately dispelled most of everyone's concerns, so Master Xuan En, Zeng Jinyi, including Jin Yuanwai and some other people who did not know martial arts After staying, the others continued to move forward.
Jing Yunpeng followed the others and walked forward, suddenly stopped, looked back at Zeng Jinyi, seemed to have made up his mind, and said to Li Rufeng: "Brother, Jinyi stays here alone, I'm afraid it won't be appropriate. If not, I’ll stay.”
Li Rufeng and Fang Lingyan looked at each other, nodded, and couldn't help but respect Jing Yunpeng even more.
After walking for about a hundred steps, the cave wall gradually became narrower, and it felt cold. The walls were covered with wet rocks, and the soles of my feet were also rugged. After walking forward for a while, I could only hear the sound of running water as I approached. Later, I looked through the candlelight and found out that there was a huge underground river flowing through it. The river bed was uneven, with a drop of more than twenty feet. The river was more than fifty steps wide, and a suspension bridge made of two ropes crossed the river. , swaying under the slap of water vapor and the blowing of the dark wind in the cave. Everyone knew that this was the only way to cross the river. It was really a dangerous place. Without the skills at hand, it would be difficult to survive safely. After crossing the suspension bridge, we passed through an underground cave. In some places, stalagmites were inserted upside down, and in some places, we had to step on suspended stone bridges. A few people like Zhuge Ningmu, who were not well-educated, almost died there. . Some people also began to wonder that there were underground rivers and caves in this place. No wonder the Jade Buddha could have characters visible in it. It was considered a strange place.
After passing the cave, the space inside the cave gradually opened up, and the surrounding area gradually became dry and flat. After a while, we came to a stone gate.
Huicheng stopped first and said, "The Jade Buddha is in the inner room." Then he touched, knocked, and twisted the stone wall beside the door. With a creak, the stone door rose upwards, and another open hall appeared in front of him. .
Everyone was relieved and walked quickly into the hall. The stone door closed again, and a gust of wind made the lights on the four walls of the hall flicker, imprinting on the lonely jade Buddha in the middle.
"Donors, I have wasted so much precious time, and the poor monk will not go into details. Now you can look at the words on the base of the Jade Buddha for yourself. All donors, please follow the poor monk and salute."
Under the leadership of Huicheng, everyone performed Buddhist rituals and recited vows. Under the guidance of several disciples of the Vajra Hall, they laid the Jade Buddha down flat and placed it on the spliced wooden frame. They turned the light to the Jade Buddha. On the base of the Buddha, there are only a few lines of words appearing on it: "Buddha's heart is on top, earthly mind is on the bottom. Now it's down, why not go up again."
Everyone looked at this sixteen-character verse and began to think hard.
If there are people in this group who do not believe that the Jade Buddha is related to the Tianwan Treasure, then Hui Zhong must be one of them. He has already found out that the Jade Buddha was not found in an abandoned cave as Jin Yuanwai said. Yes, he already knew that this was just an elaborate design by Guanghua Temple, but now if he wanted to understand the purpose of Guanghua Temple's design, he really had to follow their design and understand this verse. Thinking of this, he He also thought hard about the true meaning of these sixteen words.
Huizhong's thinking suddenly stopped at the "now it's down", which seemed to be talking about the current state. As far as the Jade Buddha is concerned, it has been down now. What everyone is looking at is the bottom of it, and everyone is struggling to pursue it. Is the secret really the Buddha’s heart? I'm afraid it's more of an earthly heart pursuing worldly fame and fortune! Thinking of this, the meaning of the first three sentences is basically understood. If you really want to continue to pursue worldly fame and fortune, then why not go up? This should be the meaning of the last sentence. What's up? Going up can get what they are looking for. If the treasure can be found through this Jade Buddha, then going up must be the key to finding the treasure.
Huizhong approached the jade Buddha and looked up along the base. Everyone looked at him and thought he had found the answer, so they followed him and looked up. When they saw the head, they didn't see any valuable clues. Suddenly, they had an idea. For a moment, I remembered that the inscriptions on the base were all within a circle, so I quickly returned to the base and pressed my hand inside the circle. I saw that the circle on the base dented downwards and then popped out, convex. out of the bottom.
Everyone knew that Huizhong had turned him on, and they admired him very much. Huizhong turned around and saw a strange smile flashing across Huicheng's face, which seemed to be secretly happy, but also seemed to be ridiculing. He couldn't help but regret it. It seemed that he had followed Huicheng's way to solve the mystery. If this was really his design, then he was being used by him at this time. With these thoughts in mind, Huizhong did not let go easily. Now that he had opened it, he wanted to see what was inside.
Huizhong took out the protruding part again, only to find it was a cylindrical tube with another verse written around it: "There are seven treasures in the ten directions of annihilation, and the Maha Infinite Buddha has a good relationship. But if you can see gold and stone, master and disciple can meet." Why look for it? The majesty of the body has no merit, and I have met the Tathagata in this body." He looked at it and found nothing, and then thought about the meaning of this verse.
Huicheng saw that his goal was basically achieved, and Gao Xuanfo said: "Master Huizhong really studied Buddhism deeply, and his heart is sincere and spiritual." He said that he came over and stretched out his hand to pass the cylinder. Huizhong couldn't understand the verse for a while. In front of everyone, he couldn't refuse it in the name of understanding Buddhism, so he had to give it to him.
Huicheng knocked on it and found that it seemed to be empty inside, and the material was not jade, but seemed to be made of copper. It turned out that the cylindrical tube was a part inserted after the beeswax-colored paint in the picture. He looked at the other end of the cylindrical tube again. There was only a hook on it, which was obviously used to open the lid. Huicheng opened the cover without hesitation and took out a piece of kraft paper. On the paper was a painting. All the famous monks in the temples present saw that it was a "Diamond Sutra Transformation Picture", and the content of the painting was exactly The scene of the Buddha preaching Dharma to Subhuti in Savatthi State. However, this Sutra Transformation Picture does not seem to be well-painted, and some of its lines and nodes are too obvious, as if it is not a famous painting.
"Dear donors, in the opinion of the poor monk, this Sutra Transformation Picture may contain another mystery. It needs to be read together with the Tube Buddha verse to gain some understanding. What do you think?"
After Huicheng took over the painting tube, Huizhong thought about it carefully and found that this Buddhist verse was not very clever at the time, and could even be said to be crude. It contains seven treasures, gold and stone, and majesty. It is very important for treasure hunting. The orientation is very obvious, and it is not in line with the Buddhist state of having no desires or pursuits at all. Either Huicheng himself did it, or there is such an unrefined gatha in Tianwan Treasures, but he widely If Huasi really stole the "Golden Stone Sutra" from Duzun Mountain, what would he do with Zhou Zhang? Could it be that there are other objects that unlock the Tianwan treasure? Why did Xu Ying, the eldest grandson of Xu Shouhui, never mention this gatha in Duzun Mountain all these years? Many questions troubled Huicheng, making him unable to think about the meaning of this gatha for a while.
Everyone began to rack their brains and think again. Here, Chen Quanzhong seemed to have some realization. He walked towards Zou Zhe's aisle and said, "Second uncle, what do you think?"
Zou Zheguo shook his head. He was arrogant and knowledgeable, and he wholeheartedly followed the Buddhist teachings to seek some truth. Like those great monks who came with him, he naturally had no experience. On the contrary, those who have no good roots and think wildly have some tricks up their sleeves.
"The ten directions refer to the pure lands of the ten directions, right? The seven treasures mean there are seven kinds of treasures?" Li Rufeng asked Fang Lingyan. He also knew little about Buddhism. He knew about the pure lands of the ten directions but not the seven treasures.
Before Fang Lingyan could answer, Feng Yanlang answered: "The Seven Treasures are also called the Seven Treasures. They have different references in different Buddhist scriptures. The Seven Treasures mentioned in the "Praise to the Pure Land Sutra" translated by Xuanzang of the Tang Dynasty are gold, silver, bark glass, Pohaojia, and Mou. Saluojialapo, Chizhenzhu, and Ashmagalapo generally refer to various treasures in the world."
Fang Lingyan knew this, and seeing that Feng Yanlang was so familiar with Buddhist scriptures, she couldn't help but take a higher look. Li Rufeng knew that he had made a fool of himself, but fortunately he continued to break the jar with a bit of sadness. Then this verse must be saying that when the pure lands in the ten directions are gone, seven kinds of treasures will appear. Oh, the Buddha has given so many karma, it is really Okay, if you can get... the "Golden Stone... Sutra"... and take a look at it, our master and disciple will meet each other. There is no need to search everywhere, so we can immediately enjoy the majesty and go to see the Tathagata Buddha. "As he spoke, his voice became louder and louder. After he finished speaking, he glanced at Feng Yanlang proudly and winked at Fang Lingyan.
Chen Quanzhong couldn't help but tremble when he heard that Li Rufeng mentioned the "Golden Stone Classic" seemingly intentionally or unintentionally. Why is this guy so crazy? He knows that these people are coveting the Tianwan treasure. Is he trying to get himself burned?
