"In fact, most of those notes are just trivial things that I discussed with him. They may not be of much value, but this book is different."
When delivering the things to Guan Luoyang's home, Professor Jiang Si warned, "This book contains an almost systematic method of training oneself and strengthening one's spirit."
"When I was in charge of many courses at the university, I used to select outstanding young people and extract excerpts from this book to help them improve their learning results, although in the end only a few people achieved some results. But it only shows that we are not suitable for this aspect, but it does not detract from the value of this book.”
"It's like medical textbooks have been published for so many years, but the person who can become an excellent surgeon is still only one in a million."
Guan Luoyang took the books and said, "Thank you very much. If it works, I will also forgive part of the debt as appropriate."
Professor Jiang Si laughed and said: "That's for the best, but I hope Boss Guan won't spread the contents of this book casually, and at least inform me first. It's so late, so I won't bother you. Goodbye. .”
"Don't worry, goodbye."
After sending the father and son away, Guan Luoyang sat down with the books and briefly flipped through the notes.
Sure enough, it was just some excerpts of discussions between Professor Jiang Si and his friend. The topics in them jumped over a wide range of topics as the two of them made associations. There were even some chapters about local delicacies, which can indeed be called trivial. .
As for the book that Professor Jiang Si valued most, it was obviously not the original manuscript. It had just been copied, with black text on white paper, copied on one side, and bound with a large stapler.
The copied handwriting still has the careful and vigorous style of the original artist, with iron strokes and silver hooks, and the font is thin and full of character.
——The text is used to convey the Tao, the pictures are used to describe the feelings, learn from the wind and listen to the rain, bathe in the spirit of the snow, focus on wisdom, and be able to generate light from the mind.
After such an opening paragraph, there is the author's self-narrative explanation in a semi-verbal manner.
“Wherever people gather in the world, there must be civilization under the inheritance of history, and within civilization, there must be the essence of self-cultivation.
All over the world, there are tens of thousands of ancient spiritual practices, which can even be called the number of sands in the Ganges. How many have been submerged in the tide of history, and how many have been despised and no longer visible.
Even if there are a few sects that have been circulating for a long time and are widely known, the greatest effect after practicing is to keep the mind young and maintain health. It can neither prevent you from all kinds of diseases, nor can you lift a bronze cauldron. It is really a mortal body and a dead tree. Together!
As for the various magical powers and miraculous arts speculated by the sages of various sects through the ages, it seems that they are just dreams and nonsense.
It was not until the 1950s that spiritual machinery, human body transformation, and ethereal spiritual practice seemed to have taken on new vitality. All kinds of spiritual cultivation that were originally just expounded on the inner mind began to have the opportunity to be expressed externally.
In addition to industrial reform and mechanical advancement, we are also fortunate to take advantage of this trend to learn from Quanzhen, Zhengyi, Zen, Cheng Zhu, Lu Wang, as well as music, Go, calligraphy, painting, flower arrangement, tea art and many other traditional Chinese studies. People communicated with each other, discussed the spirit, gathered several times, and gained a lot.
Adhering to the saying of seeking truth from facts, not false, not big, not empty, many cultivation theories can be called the mind method, which can be divided into three levels.
They are called respectively, the concentration is the same, all things take advantage of the situation, and the void takes the spirit! "
Guan Luoyang looked slightly excited when he saw this. This was obviously something similar to a secret book. No wonder Professor Jiang compared it with teaching materials.
He read slower, scanning the words carefully.
Next is an introduction to these three realms, using something similar to a short fable to explain the characteristics of the three realms.
"The first level is one of concentration. The size of the human brain is only a few inches, but it coordinates the small world of the human body. It is in constant motion, and the mystery and complexity are endless.
But throughout life, everything we see affects our minds and consumes our brains in vain.
Many people think that the state of concentration is actually accompanied by the birth and elimination of countless distracting thoughts. These distracting thoughts that they are not aware of will greatly affect the performance of people's abilities.
In the late Song Dynasty, there were many hermits in the Zhongnan Mountains. Among them was the Taoist priest Wang. They lived in an extremely remote place. Not far from the door, there was a cliff and an iron suspension bridge. However, over time, three of the chains of the suspension bridge were broken, and only the last one remained. If Wang wanted to go out, he had to take a detour for several miles.
One afternoon, several friends came to visit. Suddenly, Wang got up, walked out of the hut and went straight to the cliff. He carried a wooden bucket and stepped on an iron rope to cross the cliff. A moment later, he returned with a bucket of spring water. His friends marveled and admired him, and Wang suddenly woke up. He knew nothing about what he had done before. Looking at the mist-shrouded cliff, he was sweating and did not dare to take a step forward.
Later generations investigated and found that he was sleepwalking, seemingly dreaming but not dreaming, waking up but not waking up. Only with one thought in his mind could he avoid falling.
Such a state can be regarded as reaching the threshold of concentration and unity. However, in an unconscious state, only being obsessed with what is seen in the mind and being unable to detect external objects has many disadvantages.
There are also ancient archers who practice archery skills. They take a copper coin and hang it on a thin line under the eaves. They stare at it intently every day for dozens of steps. After practicing it at a glance, they feel that the copper coin is as big as a wheel. It can hit a square hole, and it can hear all directions while shooting, and it can detect all kinds of strange things without missing anything.
Such a person can be regarded as truly entering the realm of concentration and unity. "
"In the second level, everything takes advantage of its potential. Human beings are mortal, the tallest is no more than one foot, and the heaviest is no more than a few hundred kilograms.
In the vast world, there are countless magnificent images and powerful things that are better than the human body. If you want extraordinary power, you should use your human heart to borrow the power of external objects and harmonize it with your own body step by step. Practice the false to become true, turn the imaginary into reality, and finally Become your own power.
Even ordinary people can achieve the first level of the mind method, but the second level cannot be achieved without a true spiritual machine that stimulates the brain and develops the mind. Only by using the true spiritual electricity as a medium can the power of nothingness be transformed. Become a real force.
Wind, forest, volcanoes, guns, vehicles, ships, beasts, gods and Buddhas can all be used as objects to take advantage of. "
"The third level is to take the spirit from the void. This level is like a person calculating the scene outside the solar system before leaving the earth and the moon. It has theoretical support but no practical verification. Only some speculations are recorded below. Let’s leave it to the future.”
The detailed introduction of these three realms and various fables only occupy the first ten pages of this notebook. The real value lies in the more than fifty pages that follow.
The author explains in detail later on how to pursue the two realms of maintaining concentration and taking advantage of all things, and has corresponding suggestions for different stages of life and different practice groups.
Guan Luoyang pondered carefully, and by the time he finished reading the book, it was almost dawn.
Lao An came out of the room on the second floor and saw Guan Luoyang meditating in the living room. He didn't bother him. He quietly went to buy breakfast and came back, then went back to his room to handle things.
At around nine o'clock, he heard movement in the living room and opened the door again.
Guan Luoyang was eating breakfast and looked up at him.
"I have already made a plan for delivering food."
Lao An took the document and sat down on the sofa opposite, and said slightly excitedly, "I checked recently and found that some of the restaurants and snack bars do have takeout business. However, they don't open their own stores and only deliver takeout. There is no one. If we switch to this business, we will probably be the first to try it."
Delivering food sounds ordinary, but after careful investigation, Lao An discovered that if it works well, they may become the number one brand in the business of delivering food, and that will bring in money.
Of course, the premise for this is that the publicity must be in place, the employees must be diligent, and the salary must be negotiated. They must not be resentful, and they must not be disobedient. There must not be too many deviations in all aspects of the plan, which is still very difficult.
Guan Luoyang ate breakfast and listened to him outline the plan. After signing a few documents, he then asked: "How about the other thing I asked you to check?"
When talking about this matter, the joy on Lao An's face disappeared, and he said solemnly: "I found out that Black Spider does have a godfather, who is from the Tao Zhu Group."
Guan Luoyang raised his eyebrows and said, "Tao Zhu Group?"
Although there are many gangs in Xinma Port, most of them only fight on a small scale, and their influence is still limited to one or two blocks.
There are not many top-level gangs that can really influence the economy of Singapore and Malaysia. There are only four in total, and the Tao Zhu Group is one of them.
This group has developed to this day and is already in a half-black and half-white state. Many of the heads of departments on the surface have clean net worth and often appear in the media.
But secretly, those who were originally gang leaders are the ones with greater power.
From the leader surnamed Fan down, there are nine people. In their early years, they were nicknamed the Five Tigers and Four Xiaos, and Duguhao was one of the four Xiaos.
"The entire southwest community is decided by the Tao Zhu Group and the Social Council. Not counting the ordinary employees in their company, the number of reformed warriors alone has already exceeded 100."
Lao An said worriedly, "President, you must not spread the news that you killed Dugu Hao. Otherwise, you should just destroy the body and eliminate all traces."
Guan Luoyang said calmly: "What are you afraid of? I pushed the battle scene into the sea and left the body in the basement. It is impossible for them to trace it out in the near future. As long as we don't expose any flaws, you can send a few trustworthy people to keep an eye on it." With Xiao Jiang, in name only I want to win over Professor Jiang and provide some protection."
Lao An nodded: "I understand."
Guan Luoyang added: "You will be responsible for recruiting new people for the time being. Finally, let me take a look at the bag of firearms. If you think the timing is right, distribute it to them."
Lao An said in surprise: "Didn't you say that we will turn to serious business in the future?"
Guan Luoyang laughed: "Ha, what you said is right. In this damn place like Singapore and Malaysia, I think you have to wear a helmet when you go fishing. It's just because you are a serious person and you have to carry a gun when delivering food."
It is not necessary to use it, but it is still necessary to deliver food and move around, sometimes to scare others.
"In addition, besides being busy with business matters, you can also inquire about the surrounding gangs and leave them to me when the time comes."
"I shouldn't go out for the next half month. Unless someone's life is at stake, don't disturb me."
After giving the last instruction, Guan Luoyang took the notes and went to the basement.
The corpses of those transformed warriors were put in boxes and piled in the corners of the basement. In addition, the space in the basement seemed quite empty, and the ventilation system was also very good.
The quiet environment is a good place to practice.
"Concentrate as one..."
The temperature here was adjusted to close to zero degrees Celsius. When Guan Luoyang spoke, he could see the white breath he exhaled.
He slowly closed his eyes, sat directly on the ground, and adjusted his state according to the method in the notes.
Chinese writing is extensive and profound, and this word "ding" is worthy of repeated chewing and pondering. "Ding" means stability, but also quietness, calmness and relaxation.
All mirrors are unstained by water and dust.
Professor Jiang Si said that the outstanding young people he selected had little effect when practicing according to the above method, and many of them even had no effect at all.
That's because the most basic step, to relax your mind and get rid of distracting thoughts, can stump 99% of people.
However, when Guan Luoyang passed this step, he was as relaxed as blowing away a thin cloud in front of him.
He has a foundation in this area. The Boxer's method of divine hypnosis is originally a science that explores and mobilizes the human spirit.
Concentration is the same, at least in the initial stage, and hypnosis with God has a lot in common.
However, the upper limit of divine hypnosis is very low, and it lacks craftsmanship. However, if the concentration is the same, there are deeper, more, and purer follow-up chapters in the notes.
Time passed by, and it was unknown how long it had passed. The consumption of electricity maintained the low temperature in the basement.
Guan Luoyang's breathing became longer and longer. Without any effort, he had already entered a state of perfect Qi training.
After the initial calm, his mind began to condense little by little. It should be pure, without distracting thoughts, or even too strong in purpose, and let the spirit slowly focus.
It's like a spreading ripple on the surface of the water. After touching the boundary, it echoes naturally.
From the center of the waves, a drop of sky like a pearl of dew jumped out of the water.
Under his tightly closed eyelids, Guan Luoyang's eyes seemed to move, and the silent changes gradually penetrated into his brain from an indescribable place.
He first felt the airflow in the basement and heard the dust in the air, and then from the outside in, he recognized his clothes, skin, and flesh.
The muscles all over the body move insignificantly, the blood rushes loudly, the internal organs wriggle slowly, and any incoordination in the body gradually recedes.
He is adjusting himself.
The sign of consistent concentration, look within!
According to the description in the notes, at this step, ordinary people will feel their skin, flesh, internal organs, and bones from the outside in, but there is something that does not belong to these things in Guan Luoyang's body.
He saw the bronze-colored heat flow, which was just flowing slowly, but already carried Xiao Kuang's incomparable fierce temperament.
He saw this heat flow growing spontaneously, but in the process of growing, it inevitably collided, squeezed, and harmed the flesh and blood wherever it passed.
This kind of damage was so insignificant that Guan Luoyang had never noticed it before. Now with the presence of Ding Nian Ru Yi, he finally saw it.
Subtle adjustments began again, and the power of the mind touched the cyan heat. The blue bird's vitality, which was not subject to subjective control in the past, was polished bit by bit.
With the harmony of the mind, the distinct physical body and the blue bird's vitality gradually become harmonious. The physical body carries the vitality, and the vitality stimulates the physical body, so it robs other existences with a more powerful posture.
The light blue color on Guan Luoyang's fingernails faded at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Even the author of that notebook could not have imagined that the first state of concentration, which is just a foundation, can actually exert a harmonious and absorbing effect far beyond expectations after encountering beings from other worlds.
On the tenth hour after entering the basement, Guan Luoyang used up all the afterglow potions.
After the ninth potion was inserted, Guan Luoyang couldn't help but open his eyes in less than a minute.
The body that was sitting quietly on the ground suddenly walked around the entire basement like a phantom.
In silence, Guan Luoyang stood back to where he was.
Without using the blue bird's vitality, his speed has reached the fastest state before. What's even more strange is that during the whole process, there was no sound of wind around him.
Until Guan Luoyang was cautious, focused and curious, like a child playing with bubbles, he raised his right palm and flicked his middle finger.
Bo!
There seemed to be something restrained in the air, which was broken by this finger.
Wind surged from his body and blew in all directions at the same time. On the concrete floor, fine sand floated, revealing eight footprints one after another.
Practice the muscles, bones and skin externally, and practice one breath internally.
Four exercises complete!
