Form is emptiness, emptiness is form.

Everything that can be felt and can be contained in a physical form can be called color. Understanding all invisible changes of birth and death can be called enlightenment. Zen Buddhism believes that only by abandoning the external shapes and colors that can be felt, and understanding the inner changes of birth and death, and having an incomparably broad inner world, can one become a Buddha.

Zuo Tuming and Dugu You are both cheerful and joyful. All their actions are just to please their own inner feelings. How can they understand the inner changes of life and death? Even if they put down the butcher's knife, it will be difficult to become a Buddha immediately. .

Duguyou thought to himself, I was born a tiger, I can only act according to the tiger's behavior, and I have two things in my life: eat well, drink well, find a tigress to sleep well, and have no intention of hoping for the immortality of the biological population.

Zuo Tuming regards himself as a martial arts practitioner who never cares about bullshit principles. He only knows how to stop fighting and extinguish the anger of his opponents, so as to gain so-called fame and gain for himself. Seeing the monk's Buddha light shining all over his body and his sanctimonious face, it was all a false appearance. He felt angry and replied loudly: "Monk, you are using these bullshit principles to deceive the weak who need sympathy. Here, the strong are respected and the weak are slaves. Only recognize your strength, no need to lie."

The young novice had never heard of the word "deception", so he couldn't help asking in a low voice: "What is deception?"

Shi Qinghua happened to come over and heard the little novice's question. Seeing that no one was willing to answer, he said: "In "Zhuangzi - Nei Chapter", it is said that the name of the emperor of the South Sea is 'Shu', the name of the emperor of the North Sea is 'Hu', and the name of the emperor of the Central Sea is 'Hu'. The emperor's name was "Hundun". Emperor Hu and Su often went to play on Emperor Hun's territory, and Emperor Hun treated them with great courtesy. Emperor Hu and Su were grateful, hearing that everyone has seven orifices. It was used to eat, hear, see, and breathe, but Emperor Hundun didn't have it, so he helped him drill a hole every day as a reward. After seven days, Emperor Hundun's seven orifices opened and he died."

The little novice monk was very puzzled and asked: "Why is this so?"

Shi Qinghua replied: "Everything in the world takes my appearance as its phase, lives according to the original phase, and turns into the false phase and perishes. Suddenly, the two emperors violated the laws of nature and helped the Hun Chaos Emperor who did not need seven orifices to dig out seven orifices. If you keep the false and discard the true, it will be self-defeating and destroy the original appearance of the Emperor of Chaos. From then on, the Emperor of Chaos will lose his original appearance and how can he live long."

The little novice monk was half-informed and very confused, and said: "You are saying that tigers and wolves kill and eat meat, which is their true nature, just like sheep eating grass, just to survive. If tigers and wolves are not allowed to kill and eat meat, it is like breaking the law. If you don't understand their true nature, it will only starve them to death, which is not only the same as killing them directly, but it is even more cruel."

Shi Qinghua felt that it was difficult for his group to match Zuo Tuming and Dugu You. Thinking of the danger in the future, he wanted to use all external forces to either drive them away or eliminate them. So he said against his will: "The young master is very smart and knows everything, which makes the students admire him."

When the monk heard this, he felt a slight chill in his heart, and said aside: "Amitabha, how good, how good! Humans are human beings, and tigers are tigers. They are not the same kind. If a human becomes a tiger, the tiger is its false form, and then from a tiger to a human, then It’s about regaining your true nature, which is beneficial and harmless.”

Zuo Tuming smiled and said, "Monk, you are wrong."

The monk asked: "Donor, don't you know what's wrong?"

Zuo Tuming said: "It is easy to change from good to bad because of your own indulgence; it is difficult to change from bad to good because of the restraint of others."

He paused slightly, took a breath, and then said: "A person does ninety-nine good things. If the next hundredth thing he does is a bad thing, this person becomes a bad person and must accept the law or justice." Judgment. A person does one bad thing, and the next ninety-nine things he does are all good things. This person is still a bad person, and he will still be judged by law or justice. Since he has bad karma, he cannot escape the judgment of justice, why not Wouldn't it be better to just make a mistake and live a life as you wish?"

The monk clasped his hands together and said, "Amitabha. How good, how good! It seems that the donor cannot let go of the butcher knife and will find it difficult to become a Buddha?"

Zuo Tuming smiled and replied: "That's not necessarily the case."

The monk asked: "Donor, how can you put an end to all your bad karma, put down your butcher's knife, make good friends, and become a Buddha immediately?"

Zuo Tuming said: "I heard that the Buddha cut his flesh to feed eagles and sacrificed his life to feed tigers. No one has ever witnessed it. I wonder if it is true or false?"

The monk said: "I wonder what kind of testimony the donor wants to have?"

Zuo Tuming replied loudly: "Monk, you want me to put aside all the bad karma I have committed in the past, and consider myself a good person from now on, and focus on doing good. What's the problem? As long as you are not bluffing or cheating today, but If you sincerely want to teach the world to be good, if you can take my palm without dying, I will do what you want, and no one will offend me in the future, and I will not offend others."

The monk stood up straight, clasped his hands, closed his eyes, and said: "Amitabha, if I don't go to hell, who will. Donor, if this is the case, please do it."

"Master, no." The little novice knelt down and hugged the monk's thigh, not knowing what to do.

Cui Yingying, Ah Xing, Ah Zhu and others came over and said in unison with Shi Qinghua: "Master, no."

The monk remained unmoved and said, "Amitabha. The sea of suffering is boundless, and you will find the shore when you turn around. Donor, please do it."

Zuo Tuming took a step back and said, "Monk, have I really taken action?"

The old monk said: "Just do it."

Zuo Tuming raised his right hand and stared at the palm of his hand for a long time. Seeing that the monk was determined to die, he couldn't help but wanted to help him. He swung his palm and hit the monk in the chest, knocking the monk two or three steps away.

The monk staggered back, unable to stand still, and sat down on the ground. He clasped his hands together again and said, "Donor, monk, I have complied with your wishes and have done what I said. I hope you can also comply with my wishes and do what you have said." . From now on, I put down my butcher knife, put an end to all the bad karma in the past, and start doing good again."

Zuo Tuming smiled and replied: "Monk, you have been struck by my ice palm. As long as you can survive tonight, I will definitely do as you wish, give up all the sins of the past, live quietly, and be a human being from the heart." Turned around and Go, leaving a message behind him: "Monk, you know that I am already entangled in bad karma, and it will be difficult for me to get rid of the entanglement of time and enjoy the rest of my life. If people don't offend me, I will never offend them. But there is life. , in order to get rid of the humiliating fate, if someone offends me, I will offend them too."

"Amitabha!" The monk opened his eyes, looked at Chongming Yijian Duguyou, and asked: "Dugu hero, what about you?"

Duguyou said: "Master, I have understood your kindness. Just imagine, the evil karma I have committed over the years has been countless, I am afraid it will be difficult to get out of that nightmare-ridden cycle. In order to live a happy life, I just want to be obsessed with it. Don’t seek obsession and enlightenment. Those who have enemies can come to seek revenge, and those who have grievances can come to seek revenge. That’s all.”

The monk was struck by the God of Ice Palm, and was already chilled all over his body. It was cold to the bone, and he whispered: "Dugu Donor, if those who seek good cannot get good rewards for a while, they can blame heaven; those who seek evil will eventually get evil retributions, so don't blame others. Cause and effect. Karmic retribution will always work out, so please take good care of yourself.”

Dugu You gave a slight salute, turned around and left, his steps smooth and smooth.

Shi Qinghua got very close to the monk, and was unconsciously forced back a step or two by the coldness of the monk's body. He asked in a low voice: "Master, are you okay?"

The monk was helped by the little novice to stand up and replied slightly: "Okay, it won't get better. If you can survive tonight, even if this slap is not in vain, it is considered a great merit."

Cui Yingying was puzzled and asked: "Master, you know this, why do you do it like this?"

The monk smiled slightly and said in a very weak voice: "Before others called me master, Zuo Tuming of Ice Divine Palm was my second brother, and Chongming Yijian Duguyou was my third brother. As sworn brothers, they They have gone astray and have bad karma, and I am half of the fault. When we meet today, if I don't persuade them to go astray, it is equivalent to continuing to do evil with them. How can I be willing to do so. Amitabha."

Shi Qinghua said: "Master, since you cherish them so much, why didn't you do it earlier?"

The monk smiled bitterly, turned around, and with the support of the young novice, he walked tremblingly into the main hall, sat on the futon in front of the Buddha statue, and asked the young novice to knock the wooden fish and recite scriptures.

The scriptures are like words, sending away everything outside the door; the scriptures are like the heart, sorting out the ups and downs of a lifetime.

The heavy rain stopped, the clouds cleared, and the sky became slightly brighter.

The little novice monk was listening to the scriptures. Suddenly, he saw the monk fell down on the futon, as soft as a ball of cotton. He quickly got up and rushed over, supported the monk and asked, "Master, how are you?"

The monk said weakly: "It's okay, it's okay."

The young novice said: "Let me help you back to the meditation room."

The monk thought it was feasible, climbed on the back of the little novice, left the main hall, entered the meditation room, and sat on the couch, feeling very at ease.

The young novice lit the oil lamp in the room and saw that the monk's eyebrows seemed to have turned white and his eyes seemed to have turned red. He looked like a statue of a god that had appeared somewhere. He was very surprised and said uneasily: " Master, your eyebrows...your eyes...!"

The monk asked in a low voice: "Eyebrows, eyes, what's wrong?"

The young novice replied: "My eyebrows are white and my eyes are red."

The monk whispered: "Hey! What is supposed to come has come."

The little novice monk was very surprised and asked: "Master, what should come or what has come?"

The monk showed a hard smile and said: "I think that I, Liu Zhanxiong, have been a thief for half my life. A thief also has a way, and I bear the name of a holy thief. I repented in my heart, escaped into Buddhism, took refuge in my Buddha, and purified my bad karma in my life. . Unexpectedly, today I met old friends again, and all the bad karma during my lifetime was exposed, and I realized that it is easy to get rid of the troubles by doing evil. Since the eyebrows are white, and the eyes are red, and the white eyebrows and red eyes are restored, I must be away from death. Not far away." He put his hands together and said, "Amitabha."

The young novice said: "Master, is it really difficult to resolve the evil karma in the world?"

The monk replied: "First accept the judgment of justice, then eliminate evil and promote good, and finally seek good results, which can be regarded as true resolution. If you cannot accept the judgment of justice first and your heart becomes empty, it is like looking at plum blossoms to quench your thirst, or painting cakes to satisfy your hunger. It's just a fantasy to masturbate, so how can we explain it?"

The little novice monk said: "Then you put down your butcher's knife and become a Buddha immediately. Isn't it a lie?"

The monk said: "The butcher's knife here refers to all delusions, delusions, confusion, confusion, discrimination, and attachment. Only by letting go of them can you see the Buddha nature and practice to become a Buddha."

The young novice asked: "Master, have you seen the Buddha nature before?"

The monk said: "No. I only knew that I was wrong before, but I didn't dare to accept justice. I took refuge in my Buddha to escape my sins. Since I have not seen the Buddha nature, I naturally cannot cultivate and become a Buddha."

The young novice asked, "Have you seen the Buddha nature now?"

The monk said: "I saw it, but it's a pity that it's too late. I have no chance to practice and become a Buddha."

The little novice monk said: "As all Buddhas come, it is called Tathagata. Relying on the True Tathagata, through hard work, constantly accumulating good causes, and finally cultivating to become a Buddha, this is the True Body Tathagata. By introducing the True Tathagata, all living beings can increase their wisdom. Eliminating worries and obtaining benefits is the Tathagata of the True Body. Master, you missed it before and did not see the Buddha nature, so you cannot cultivate to become the Tathagata of the True Body. But now you are teaching the way of the True Tathagata and benefit all living beings. According to the truth, you can cultivate to become the Tathagata of the True Body. How? Just say that there is no chance to practice and become a Buddha!"

"Amitabha!" After hearing the disciple's words, the monk suddenly became enlightened. He saw the bright light outside the window. Once he let go of the attachments in his heart, he no longer had any worries and passed away with a smile.
