What does Taiyuan mean?
In Taoism, it is believed that every part of the human body has a god residing in it, and the hair god is called Taiyuan.
But Taiyuan also has another meaning, which is "space", space means the sky. "Guan Yinzi·Erzhu": "A symbol of luck spreads across space."

Taiyuan also refers to the state in which all things existed before the heaven and earth were opened but not yet opened. Although it was empty and lonely, it still had the appearance of movement, but there was no metaphysically visible Tao or metaphysically tangible objects... ..
And here we should mention another famous figure, Yuanshi Tianzun.
In the pure ancient world view, of course, there is no such thing as the Sanqing. Although it does not rule out the possibility that the three birdmen "Zai, Chonghua, and Wenming" will put on vests and play the role of the Sanqing in the future, at least for now, the three elders do not exist at all. exist.
Yuanshi Tianzun is a person who was born "before Taiyuan".
And the Yuan, the invisible kind, the root of nature, was written in Taishi, no one can compare with the predecessors - Zhang Heng of the Han Dynasty
Zhang Heng also divided the cosmology into three categories. In "Yuan Tu" and "Lingxian", the first stage is called "Mingtui", which can be regarded as the time and space that has existed for a long time, which is indescribable and only empty. , there is nothing outside.
The second stage is called "Pang Hong", that is, various different material energies are mixed with each other, constantly rotating, and chaotic.
The third stage is "Taiyuan", that is, the pure and turbid vitality are separated, the sky is formed outside, and the earth is settled inside. The heaven and earth combine the essence to give birth to all things.
Looking at it this way, the attributes of Taiyuan are very clear.
When the world first opened, it was the first mass of essence that was transformed by the confluence of yin and yang. This mass of energy can become the "Taiyuan Heaven" where all the immortals live, and it can also create all things and move the elephants.
This is the source of all things, and there is nothing earlier than it, except Yuanmou Man Shi Tianzun.
And if the attributes of all things are possessed by people? It would be equivalent to imitating the Taiyi star itself...
