After speaking, the old man waved his hand and seemed to disappear again.
Zhao Chuan sat in front and stood up in a hurry, but before he could speak, the old man suddenly disappeared again.
Zhao Chuan was a little embarrassed, but the people around him seemed to be accustomed to Zhao Chuan's behavior. No one expressed surprise to him, and they dispersed without even looking at him.
Zhao Chuan couldn't hold it in any longer. After everyone left, he asked Jiang Feng, who was walking over: "Where is this place? Who are these preachers and listeners?"
Jiang Feng smiled and said, "I'm not sure. I was also called by a friend to attend the class. After listening to it once, I felt that you would be interested in this, so I called you here too..."
Zhao Chuan was speechless.
The next day, Zhao Chuan came again as usual, but he secretly made up his mind to pester the old man as soon as he finished speaking.
This time the old man came later.
Zhao Chuan was sitting in front, thinking about something in his mind, when the old man suddenly appeared on the stage.
So this is how this guy came to be? It really comes and goes without a trace.
But before he could think more, the old man glanced at Zhao Chuan and began to say: "I'll let you ask questions today, because you have listened more in the past few days, so you must have some questions in your mind. You will ask them next."
Someone below heard this and immediately stood up and asked: Teacher, please tell me how to improve your energy and how to improve your aura during acupuncture.
The old man smiled: My own training is to improve my energy. Of course, I didn’t talk about the specific methods of the five arts today, because it would be too much to talk about.
Someone asked: Teacher, you have said in the previous course that what an object receives is its nature, what its nature emits is its fate, what a person receives is also its nature, and human character is also what heaven receives. It can be said that human nature Is character determined innate?
The old man nodded: It can also be changed.
Someone asked: Thank you very much, teacher. I would like to ask you for advice: Heaven’s heart is hard to change, nature is hard to change, and changing one’s fate means changing one’s nature. So what factors determine or influence heaven’s heart and nature?
The old man said: Tianxin Universe can only be discussed when it comes to specific cultivation.
Someone asked: People with strong energy also have strong momentum (power), right?
The old man said: Yes.
The old man seemed a little tired today, so he yawned and said: The Vajra Longevity Kung Fu is mainly about dynamic exercises. Later I will tell you some quiet exercises so that you can actually practice them.
Guan Yinzi is Guan Ling Yinxi, whose surname is Yin and whose name is Xi. I rode a green ox out of the pass. Guan Yinzi looked at the purple energy coming from the east and knew that a sage was about to pass by, and he found me. Lao Tzu wrote five thousand words of morality for him and left. Guan Yinzi was a direct disciple of Laozi. He later traveled with Laozi and was known as Wenshi Zhenren.
It can be said that Laozi and Guan Yinzi were the first to open the door to Taoism.
Now, there is a saying in Taoism that says Wenshi is the highest and Shaoyang is the greatest. The Wenshi here refers to the Wenshi School, which is the school taught by Guan Yinzi.
The Wenshi School is also called the Louguan School, or Louguan Taoism and Laoguan Taoism.
Why is it called Louguandao? Because Guan Yinzi was good at stargazing and observing the weather, he once tied grass into a building to observe celestial phenomena, so it was called Tower Viewing. It is called Lao Guandao because it was passed down by Laozi and Guan Yinzi.
Here, I want to clarify a few concepts with you, namely, what is Tao, what is sect, what is sect, and what is teaching.
Let’s talk about the door first. As for door, it is a similar concept to home. It is said that whose door belongs to which household. The so-called door concept means an independent door. One door is independent from the other.
For example, we now have Taoism, Buddhism, Confucianism, etc., which can also be called Taoism, Buddhism, and Confucianism. They are divided into different categories.
If a person wants to establish a sect, he must have his own unique and groundbreaking ideological system, so that he can establish his own sect.
For example, Du Xinwu during the Republic of China created a brand new martial arts system, so he called himself Natural Gate.
And corresponding to the door is the pie. Pai is also called a school, which is a concept within a sect. That is, the same sect has different styles and characteristics, which is called a school.
So like Taoism, it is divided into many sects, such as Quanzhen sect, Zhengyi sect, etc.
The Quanzhen sect emphasizes the alchemy tripod, while the Zhengyi sect emphasizes the talismans and talismans, but their emphasis is different.
Then why are there such titles as Quanzhen Tao and Zhengyi Tao?
This is because they all belong to Taoism, so they call themselves Taoism. The reason why they call themselves so-and-so Tao instead of so-and-so sect is because they believe that what they inherit is the orthodoxy of the Tao sect, not just a small branch, so they call themselves so-and-so Tao.
So generally one calls himself a certain way, while others call him a certain sect.
Just like our Guizhen medicine, why not call it Guizhen Chinese medicine? It’s because we believe that medicine itself should be like this, rather than just a branch of medicine that is opposite to Western medicine.
In addition to sects and sects, there is another concept, which is teaching.
For example, Quanzhen Tao is also called Quanzhen Religion. What does it mean to teach? Religion refers to a group, usually a religious group. It is in the form of a religious group, so it is called a religion.
Therefore, everyone must understand that Taoism, or Taoism, is different from Taoism.
Taoism is a religious group, but Taoism may not be.
Let’s talk about Taoists again. Anyone in the Taoist sect can be called a Taoist, that is, a person who practices Taoism. People in Taoism are generally called Taoist priests.
Historically, there were many people in Taoist sects, but many of them were not Taoist priests. Including Taoist founder Laozi, Taoist ancestor Guan Yinzi, etc., they only practiced Taoism and did not establish Taoism. Taoism was founded by the Heavenly Master Zhang Daoling in the Eastern Han Dynasty.
Historically, people in the Taoist sect were either hidden or visible, or came out to help the world, or retired to practice in seclusion, such as the ancestors of Taoism since Daozong, Liezi, Wenzi, Zhuangzi, Lu Shang, Guan Zhong, Fan Li, Gui Guzi, Zhang Liang, Zhuge Kongming, Liu Bowen, etc. , all are members of the Taoist sect.
Therefore, when you think of Taoists, you should not think of them as Taoists. When you think of cultivating Taoism, you should not think that you have to go up a mountain to become a monk. This is wrong. Cultivating Taoism can be said to be just a way of life, and everyone can practice Taoism.
This is the first concept we need to understand first, that is, cultivating the Tao is something everyone can do, and the Tao is never far away.
Having said so much, I feel like I haven’t really started yet.
Let’s just talk about this much today. Today is the preface. Tomorrow we will start to talk about Taoism in detail. We will talk about how to cultivate Taoism as an ordinary person and what exactly we should practice in Taoism.
Do you have any other questions?
There was a buzz below. After a while, someone stood up and asked: Teacher, can you tell me the essential difference between a Taoist priest and a Taoist? Are Taoist priests in Taoism also cultivators?
The old man said: Of course Taoist priests are also cultivators.
Someone asked: Why didn’t I tell others about what I said before?
The old man said: This is not to say that the Tao before Lao Tzu was not spread to others. There were many real people who achieved Tao before Lao Tzu, such as Peng Zu, Guang Chengzi, Chi Songzi, Qi Bo, and Huang Di. Qihuang taught the Nei Jing and Laozi taught morality, but what they taught was different.
Someone asked: Teacher Guizhen, is Nuwa a real person in history? I must be asking an idiot question, but I really don’t understand. Nuwa’s creation of human beings is a myth.
The old man said: All myths and legends are true, but later generations did not understand them, so they thought they were legends.
Someone asked: Teacher, the Tao is formless and emotionless, but cultivating the Tao requires feelings. What does emotion here mean?
The old man said: It is too early to ask this question.
Someone asked: How to understand the relationship between the four major elements in the domain (Tao, Heaven, Earth, and Man)? Why did the previous lecture say: "The big day is passing, the passing day is far, and the far side is reverse. The reverse is the movement of Tao. This is about the unity of heaven and man"? Can you recommend an authoritative version of the Tao Te Ching? Pangu opened the sky. Did Pangu open the sky? Or did Fuxi open the sky with a single painting during the Pangu period? Does Pangu refer to people or time?
The old man said: These, these questions you asked can be discussed later, what is heaven, what is earth, and what is human.
Someone asked: I would like to ask the teacher, since those who achieved Taoism in ancient times could live forever, why did they not choose to be emperors and live to benefit mankind, but disappeared later?
The old man said: We will discuss this issue later.
Someone asked: Is attaining the Tao a kind of freedom?
The old man said: Obtaining the Tao can be said to be a kind of freedom, but there are deeper questions in it, what is freedom, and what is the purpose of cultivating the Tao.
Some people ask: Is freedom an improvement in the dimension of the soul? Some people think that the body is a cage that imprisons the soul.
Someone else asked: I think freedom is what Zhuangzi said, leaving the form to know, which is the same as Datong.
Someone then asked: I think it is to understand the laws and laws of all things in the world.
At the same time, someone went on to say: But I’m afraid this is more than just the literal meaning. You can’t understand it unless you experience it yourself.
The old man said: I will talk to you about this issue tomorrow.
Someone asked: Teacher, do you have time to tell me about your opportunity to learn Taoism?
The old man smiled: Everyone has different opportunities to learn the Tao. How to enter the Tao is not important, but what is important is to obtain the Tao.
Someone asked: Teacher, ordinary people can practice Taoism. Can those who suffer from various diseases and have blockages in any of their Du Cong meridians succeed in practicing Taoism?
The old man said: Of course.
Today I’m going to talk about medical skills.
Zhao Chuan was a doctor, so of course he wanted to find this opportunity to ask.
He had thought about the questions he wanted to ask, but as soon as he stood up, someone stood up in front of him and started asking.
The man was short and fat. What he asked was: Can eunuchs practice Taoism even if they are imperfect people?
After the man finished speaking, many people in the audience turned to look at him, and many people sighed.
The old man smiled and said calmly: Do you know how eunuchs go to the toilet after being castrated?
This answer was not what the question was asked, and everyone was confused and looked at each other in confusion.
The old man said: How did the eunuch go to the toilet after being castrated? Few of you know.
Should men stand up? In fact, they can urinate at any time and they can't control it.
Those who are willing to purify themselves and enter the palace as eunuchs must be invited by a high-status eunuch, and then marry into the palace with a "marriage certificate" signed by the witness.
The "marriage certificate" must be signed voluntarily, so a knife maker was invited to make preparations for the operation, a good day was chosen, and the purifier was locked in the room.
The room must be airtight, and the purifier must first clean up the feces and then lock it in the room.
During this period of confinement, you must not eat or drink, lest the excretion of wastes contaminate the wound after surgery, causing the wound to worsen and endanger your life. The reason why it must be airtight is also for the safety of the purifier. In this way, after three or four days, the castration will be official.
The surgeon has a special silver surgical knife. After the operation, the surgeon applies white wax oil to the bleeding wound, sprinkles some pepper on the wax oil to relieve pain, and then inserts a thin wheat straw into the wound. It enters the urethra of children and serves as a catheter to prevent urine from touching the wound.
In the next few months, it will be used as a urinary catheter. A castrated eunuch is like a faucet that has been cut off from the water outlet system. The water will not flow out smoothly, but may flow out irregularly with splashes! Therefore, eunuchs are incontinent, and sitting on the toilet becomes their only choice. Otherwise, they will often pee everywhere...
The people in the audience became more and more confused as they listened. This old man was completely off topic. What is this called? You are not here to listen to Mr. Shu tell stories.
However, the old man did not care about the expressions of the people in the audience, but insisted on finishing the story about the eunuch.
Zhao Chuan was also confused, but the old man probably wasn't talking nonsense.
It seems that there must be a reason why people say this.
So everyone listened patiently, treating it as an amazing piece of unofficial history.
