The preparations for the martial arts hall were going very smoothly. Nearly twenty martial arts masters were recruited. There was an old man. Jiang Feng couldn't make the decision and hurriedly came to Zhao Chuan.
Zhao Chuan said: "Brother Jiang, thank you for your hard work."
"It's not hard work, but there is a person who is very good at martial arts, but the condition is that her wife is sick and we need to pay for the medicine."
"How much does the medicine cost?"
"It's not too high, but the condition is uncertain, and the cost of medicine is also uncertain. You can go and take a look. They are temporarily staying in the newly purchased manor."
Zhao Chuan and Jiang Feng came to "Juxian Manor" and took him to the man's residence: "Mr. Wu, this is our brother Zhao from Puji Hall."
"I have long admired Mr. Zhao's name, Wu Xilun is so polite now," he said, hurriedly tidying up his clothes and bowing respectfully.
Zhao Chuan hurriedly returned the courtesy, "Senior, you don't have to be polite." Wu Xilun smiled bitterly and said, "How can Dr. Zhao call you senior Wu? I am only in my forties, but I look old because of my poverty and poverty."
Zhao Chuan saw that Wu Xilun's clothes were shabby, his bald head was thin, and he looked older. Now that he had the early stage of foundation building, it seemed that his life was indeed difficult.
"When did Mr. Wu come to Qincheng?"
"It's been months."
"Since my wife has been ill for several months, why not go to Puji Hall for treatment?"
Wu Xilun looked embarrassed and remained silent. Jiang Feng hurriedly interrupted: "You two chat slowly, I'll go and talk about something elsewhere and come back later."
After Jiang Feng left, Wu Xilun gave a rough account of his situation: Wu Xilun and his wife came from Geerbei, a small country in Mobei. He and his wife Yu Qiuyi had been childhood sweethearts since they were young, and then joined the same sect Yanbeimen. Yu Qiuyi was injured and trapped while hunting spirit beasts in an extremely cold place. He later escaped by chance. Yu Qiuyi was on the verge of death. Although he saved his life, he suffered from a hidden illness. He had to take medicine continuously to survive. He began to rely on his savings and the help of relatives and friends to obtain elixirs and precious medicinal materials. I was doing okay, but later I had no money and had to rely on cheap soups and medicines to stay alive. Now I can't even afford the soups and medicines.
I went to Qinzhou two months ago and heard that there was a miraculous doctor at Puji Hall, but after two visits, Zhao Chuan was not at Puji Hall for consultation at all, and Wu Xilun had no medical fees at all. Wu Xilun didn't think of this method until Jiang Feng was preparing for the martial arts school.
Zhao Chuan said: "I'm sorry, Mr. Wu. I have a lot of things to do these days and I have no intention of practicing medicine. In fact, I don't charge for all my medical treatments. If you don't have money, I can treat patients for free. I will never leave you for decades." I will do my best, not taking any money, and I don’t have any requirements. If you want to go to the martial arts school, you can go anywhere.”
Wu Xilun smiled helplessly, "Qiurou can't hold on much longer. I have decided to stay for a few years, and then let her go." "
When Zhao Chuan heard that Wu Xilun was a true love interest and that he loved her more than him, he was deeply moved and asked, "Can you please come out and see me, Madam?"
Wu Xilun then said sheepishly: "My wife has been tortured by the disease to the point of being as thin as a stick. Her face is ugly and she is ashamed to see others. I will help her out right now."
I saw Wu Xilun helping out a skinny lady wearing coarse blue clothes and with fluffy hair covering most of her face.
Wu Xilun: "Qiu Yu, this is Divine Doctor Zhao."
Yu Qiuyi raised his head with difficulty, and said in a weak voice, "Excuse me, miracle doctor!"
Zhao Chuan said: "Madam, sit down for a moment and let me take her pulse."
After Zhao Chuan finished feeling his pulse, Wu Xilun asked eagerly: "Is Mr. Zhao curable?"
"Madam is too weak, let's take a rest first." He then took out a blood-tonifying pill and a qi-tonifying pill and handed them to Wu Xilun: "Give it to madam first, and we will treat you later."
When Wu Xilun saw it, he waved his hands hurriedly: "Sir, you can't help it. We no longer have the ability to take these pills!"
Zhao Chuan: "You give it to Madam first, and then we can talk slowly."
Wu Xilen came out with a grateful face.
Zhao Chuan didn't wait for Wu Xilun to speak, and said: "Mr. Wu, in the next period of time, my wife will mainly restore her physical condition. After this treatment, she does not need to take the medicine. However, to cure the disease, she needs to refine the elixir. Mr. Wu, I am an alchemist." Master, there is no problem in refining the elixir, but the two medicinal materials are not easy to find."
"What medicine?"
"Purple Snow Vine and Youhan Beast Pill."
Wu Xilen: "These two things are hard to find."
Zhao Chuan said: "If time permits, I can get it. Don't worry. After this treatment, my wife can basically return to normal life."
Wu Xilen was greatly moved when he heard this, and then said many words of thanks.
Zhao Chuan just smiled lightly and said it was okay.
Wu Xilun was silent for a long time, and hesitated to speak several times. Seeing this, Zhao Chuan let him speak directly, saying that he would not care about anything he said.
Seeing Zhao Chuan being so frank, Wu Xilun said in a weak voice: "I want to see the medicinal formula for Madam's elixir..."
Zhao Chuan instantly understood that this kung fu master turned out to be so cautious. It was understandable when he thought about the other party's situation.
Caution is not a fault, especially for a Kung Fu master. On the contrary, it is an advantage.
At that moment, Zhao Chuan wrote out the medicinal ingredients for the formula: Broken Dragon Root, Huigang Grass, Scarlet Blood Fruit, Green Baby Flower, Purple Cloth Grass, Cold Heart Fruit, Snake Tangle Vine, Five Willow Roots, Buddleia, Royal Blood Grass, Wild Hard Flower, Star Tian Yuan Fruit.
Above is the aphrodisiac material used in the first set of elixirs.
The following are the medicinal materials used for the second elixir: Cold Spirit Ghost Flower, Bright Flame Blood Heart Mushroom, Black Heart Demon Soul Flower, Purple Spirit Cloud Chrysanthemum, Silver Leaf Grass, Ningshen Flower, Ground Root Grass, Demon Emperor Grass, Fallen Grass. Cut grass and heather.
Next are the medicinal materials used for the second elixir: swift grass, royal blood grass, wild grass, thorn algae, silver leaf grass, peace of mind flower, ground root, devil grass, bruise grass, heather, swift Grass, thorn alga...
There were three sets of medicinal materials for the elixir. Wu Xilen only glanced at them and then respectfully handed back the paper with the medicinal materials written on them with both hands.
Wu Xilen wanted to say something more, but Jiang Feng suddenly came in and whispered to Zhao Chuan.
Zhao Chuan and Jiang Feng immediately left the "Juxian Manor".
Following Jiang Feng, Zhao Chuan came to a large house. After entering the gate, he came to a large hall where many people were sitting, listening to an old man's sermon on the stage.
Someone came in, but no one in front looked back at Zhao Chuan and Zhao Chuan.
Jiang Feng whispered: "That's him. The man above is said to be an accomplished master. His master just ascended to the throne not long ago..."
Zhao Chuan nodded and found a place in the back to sit cross-legged and listen to the lecture.
Just listen to the man above say:
As we said last time, everyone can practice Taoism. So what exactly do we practice in cultivating the Tao? How to practice it and where to start?
What do you think of when talking about monasticism? Meditate? Convinced? Alchemy? Or a symbol? execration? Or the final Xia Ju ascended?
Of course these are some of the contents of Taoism, but they are not all of Taoism, or not even the most important part of Taoism.
When it comes to cultivating Taoism, we must first clarify a few concepts. That is, cultivating Taoism is actually first of all a way of life, and then the specific content of cultivating Taoism.
It can be said that everyone can cultivate the Tao, and everything can cultivate the Tao.
First of all, what is the purpose of our spiritual practice?
To sum it up, it can be summed up in four words: longevity and happiness.
That is what we pursue in practicing Taoism, which is longevity and happiness.
This is what Buddhism and Taoism pursue. What Buddhists pursue is the Paradise of Paradise, which is what they often say, going to the Paradise of Paradise in the West, also called the Paradise of Rebirth.
They believe that the human world is miserable. If people want to go to the paradise world, they must escape from the suffering of the human world, get rid of the six paths of reincarnation, and finally go to a bright and pure world. That world is the existence of ultimate nirvana.
Therefore, what Buddhism ultimately pursues is a state of annihilation, that is, eternal death but no rebirth.
At the same time, they also believe that the human body is a stinky bag, an existence that binds the spirit, and that the body will eventually be abandoned.
This is the most fundamental difference between Buddhism and Taoism.
What Buddhism pursues is eternal death without rebirth, while Taoism pursues immortality without death.
What Buddhism pursues is the world of Ultimate Bliss, while what Taoism pursues is the realm of eternal happiness, the happiness of life.
So what is Changle? What is the joy of life?
Many people say that the purpose of cultivating Taoism is to become an immortal. So what does it mean to be an immortal?
There are several kinds of immortals, some are immortals, some are earthly immortals, some are heavenly immortals, and some are gods.
The great road is not an empty realm, it is not empty. Lao Tzu said that the nameless is the beginning of heaven and earth, and the named is the mother of all things. Nameless and famous are actually the same thing.
For example, if a person succeeds in spiritual practice and ascends to death, where does he go after his ascension? What are you doing again?
Is it just floating in the void of the universe? Isn’t that boring too?
What does he eat? What can be accomplished?
In fact, the world of gods is not what everyone imagines. The gods are floating in the sky and do not move without eating or drinking.
Even gods need to eat.
And the immortal is not absolutely free, he is also restricted by the great road.
In other words, gods are not illusory, they also have to go through generations. And this past life, to the gods, is a process of happiness.
This world has many levels, the human world is one level, and the fairy world is also one level.
In other words, the difference between immortals and humans is just a difference in level.
There is a saying from Zhuangzi, which is that after a thousand years of being tired of the world, you can go to immortality.
what does it mean? That is to say, a person has been in the human world for thousands of years. He feels that the human world is no longer interesting, so he stops staying in the human world and continues to travel elsewhere.
So is there also happiness in the human world? Of course there are, and the human world is also a level that you can travel to.
So gods also have thoughts about the mortal world, that is, they want to travel around the human world.
After some people have achieved success in cultivation, if they are not tired of the world, they will continue to travel in the human world without worries and worries, and can be at ease in the human world. Such people are called immortals.
Someone said last time that since you can live forever if you are successful in cultivation, why not always be the emperor? This is looking at it from the perspective of ordinary people. Maybe it is good to be an emperor, but if you really have to be an emperor all the time, won't you get tired of it? For gods, what good is being an emperor?
This is actually the attitude towards people's desires. Everyone has desires, so how to deal with desires? Is it abstinence? No, Taoism teaches that people should be weary of desire.
The so-called disgust with desire is the process of self-elimination of desire.
When a person is very hungry, he will find the steamed buns delicious, but when he is full, he will not want to eat them. And if a person is not hungry all the time, then he will naturally have no reaction when seeing the steamed buns, and he will also not want to eat them.
This is the process of aversion to desire.
Before Lv Zu became a Taoist, he had been taking exams, but failed repeatedly. Later, after Huang Liang had a dream, he saw through the world and lost interest in serving as an official. This was also a process of being disgusted with desire.
Does being disgusted with desire mean that you are no longer interested in anything? What about being passive and doing nothing? Of course not.
This is the meaning of the joy of life, but I feel no fun at this level, and there are other levels to travel to.
This is just like a child who may like certain toys very much, but when you grow up, you will find these toys not fun, and when you become an adult, there will be other fun things and things.
In fact, whether it is for humans or gods, what they pursue is a process of longevity and happiness.
What do people pursue in this life? It's nothing more than two things. One is longevity, which means long life without disease for people, and the other is fun. If a person can live a healthy and long life, and at the same time find the world a lot of fun, then can’t he also be called a god on earth?
Li Hongzhang has a couplet:
First couplet: Enjoying happiness does not mean being an official. As long as you have money in your pocket, rice in your granary, and poems and books in your belly, you will be the prime minister in the mountains.
Second couplet: I pray that I don’t need to take medicine for a long life. I hope that my body will be free of illness, my mind will be free of worries, I will have no creditors, and I will become a god on earth.
This is also true.
The reason I tell you this is to tell you the truth, that is, gods are not outside the sky. Gods are mortals, and they can be immortals at every level.
This is also another idea that all people are close to immortals.
Of course, as your own cultivation improves, if you don't want to be a human immortal, you can then become an earthly immortal, a heavenly immortal, or a god. This is a process of continuous improvement in level.
So no matter what kind of immortal you are, no matter what level you are at, what is the difference between immortals and mortals? It depends on whether you can be free and unencumbered by worldly affairs. It also depends on whether your heart has reached the level of Tao and whether your actions are consistent with Tao.
Therefore, cultivating the Tao is not about what you are doing or where you are, but the key is in your heart. The first thing to cultivate the Tao is to cultivate your heart.
Meditating and practicing Qigong is cultivating the Tao. Carrying water, cutting firewood, and lighting a fire to cook are not cultivating the Tao.
