It can be imagined that in that barren era, such a group of people with extremely high skills, mastered the most advanced technology, and were willing to die for righteousness could threaten any country.

More importantly, they also possess extremely high scientific literacy

In the "Mo Jing", there is a record called "force, the reason why punishment is exciting, force, heavy", that is to say, force is the reason why objects accelerate, and gravity and weight are not the same. In fact, this was the enlightenment of mechanics. It was not until thousands of years later that Newton proposed a similar point of view.

After explaining mechanics, Mozi turned his attention to the universe. He called time "Jiu" and space "Yu". He believed that there was an inseparable relationship between them, and at the same time defined the characteristics of space and time. , believing that space and time are both finite and infinite. For the whole, space and time are infinite, but for the parts, space and time are finite. Infinity contains finiteness, and finiteness contains infinity. This involves some ideas in Einstein's theory of relativity.

In addition, there are also pinhole imaging, geometric definition, and limit theory. These viewpoints are discussed in the "Mo Jing".

In addition, Mozi's logic, Mobian, is also known as the world's three major logics together with Yinmingxue and ancient Greek logic.

Of course, these are only accessories. The real technology depends on the Mohist machine skills. In terms of craftsmanship, even Zuluban, the master of carpenters, can only be defeated.

For example, in the investigation of the wooden kite, it is recorded in "Han Feizi·Wai Chu Shuo Upper Left": Mozi was a wooden kite, which took three years to form and failed in one day. A wooden kite is a kite, which means that Mozi made a wooden kite that could fly in the sky all day long. The so-called investigation means that there is a person sitting on it

Another example is the Mohist puppets, which are warriors made of wood that can be controlled with silk threads and can even imitate human movements.

There is also a transducer, which is also a tool recorded in the "Mo Jing" and has been unearthed in some places. The entire machine is about six feet long and requires two people to operate it. It is mainly used on city walls. Unlike ordinary catapults, it can change the shooting position and fire crossbows continuously, which is equivalent to the ancient Gatling gun.

Of course, these are only those that have been recorded. There are many more legendary weapons.

After seeing this, everyone should be able to understand that the Mohists are almost a group of people who advocate peace and die, and have the most advanced technology. So what do they advocate?

The entire Mohist thought has ten elements:

The first is universal love. This universal love is not benevolence, but fraternity without distinction or discrimination. It's a bit anti-human, which is one of the reasons for the demise of Mohism.

Benevolence means treating relatives with courtesy, treating parents with filial piety, and treating elders with respect. This is a thought that is more in line with human nature.

But universal love means treating everyone with etiquette, filial piety, and respect. Everyone must abide by this agreement and cannot be biased.

This is similar to forcibly entering the world of Datong, so what if someone doesn't comply?

The answer is the second one, non-attack. The Mohists oppose war and advocate peace, because there are no survivors in a war. As long as it is started, all losers. Therefore, if a country starts a war, the Mohists must stop it or even kill it.

In other words, in the eyes of the Mohists, everyone, and even every country, must possess some good qualities, which leads to the third article, called "Salvation of the Worthy", which means that everyone must learn from the wise. This is somewhat in conflict with the Taoist idea of not respecting the virtuous. Although it is not considered brilliant, what Mozi wanted was absolute perfection.

The fourth article is called Shangtong, which is a bit similar to books sharing the same text and cars sharing the same track. Mozi studied Confucianism and believed that Confucianists always like to engage in sophistry and turn some good moral standards into personal rights. As for moral standards, Mozi believed that they should be made clear in public, everyone should unify the standards, and eliminate personal interests from them.

Speaking of standards, Mozi proposed a fifth one, called Tianzhi. That is to say, we make a charter according to standards, so that people can abide by it, and only in this way can we truly put an end to selfish interests. Later, it evolved into the induction of heaven and man. Doing things according to the rules of heaven cannot be said to be letting nature take its course. It should be forced to let nature take its course.

The sixth article is called Minggui. This article is quite special, which means that we believe that ghosts and gods are real. The purpose of Mozi saying this is because he discovered that once there is no faith, people will become unafraid; if they have faith and think that there is a god above their heads, they will restrain themselves and be able to manage themselves better.

Article 7 is called non-fate. It denies the existence of fate and believes that the world is fair. Everyone must believe in personal will.

Article 8 is called non-happiness, which means don’t advocate some things that are boring to play with, and use your time to do some good deeds. In fact, this is also a bit anti-human. It corresponds to Article 9’s moderation, so that nobles should not waste resources and enjoy excessively. causing dissatisfaction among the common people,

The tenth article is called festival burial. This article is specifically aimed at the rich burial of Confucians, who believe that people will turn into nothingness after death, and complicated funerals have no meaning to them.

In fact, at this point, everyone should be able to guess the reason for the demise of the Mohist family - that is, anti-human nature.

The Mohist philosophy is very anti-human. Needless to say, even if you are a Mohist, you must sacrifice your life for justice, give up your family, treat strangers like relatives, and achieve universal love without distinction. This is difficult.

Therefore, after Mozi's death, the Mohist family no longer had this cohesion, and even divided into three factions: Xiangli Mo, Xiangfu Mo, and Deng Lingmo.

In fact, Mozi could have packaged himself into a saint, let future generations canonize him as a god, and turned the Mohist family into a belief and passed it down. However, he gave up this approach and let human nature teach him a lesson:

Among them, Xiangfu Mo gave up any research and became a lobbying school like Confucianism. He traveled everywhere and advocated the idea of universal love. However, without the backing of Mohism, universal love became a joke.

And Deng Lingmo, who was also the most loyal group of Mohists, became a group of knights. They opposed the war and would still die. However, without theoretical support and the image of a saint, their number became smaller and smaller, and eventually they disappeared.

The last Xiangli Mo still focused on research and still had powerful technology, but he no longer had the determination to die. Xiangli Mo was also called Qin Mo. They believed that the system of the Qin State was the final destination of the Moh family, and then he was defeated by the Qin State. Flirting is lame. In the end, he also helped Qin complete the unification war. It is said that the Mohists helped Qin Shihuang complete these measures.

During the Qin Dynasty, the Mohist School had transformed from its original organization into an ordinary school of thought. By the Han Dynasty, due to the influence of Confucianism, the Mohist School had completely disappeared from history. In fact, this is easy to understand, as it was a unified dynasty. , organizations like the Mohist family are absolutely not allowed to exist.

However, it is said that the Mo family still existed during the Qing Dynasty, but unfortunately, there were only two people left.
