Mr. Yangming admired Ye Feng's answer very much and said: "Well said, the wine is even better."
So the two looked at each other, smiled, and drank a large bowl from each other.
This time it was Ye Feng's turn to ask questions.
. . .
The narrator said: Although we have said before that Ye Feng has the magical ability to see through, there are no secrets in front of Ye Feng, so there is no need for Ye Feng to ask Mr. Yangming questions. But Ye Feng adheres to the principle of combining subjectivity and objectivity, so he will combine the other party's objective feedback and verify his own judgment before making a final judgment.
However, that is naturally under the premise that the other party can give you objective feedback. If the other party does not give you objective feedback, you have to do two things:
The first thing is the courage to make a prompt decision. You should never doubt your own judgment and be timid just because there is no objective feedback.
The second thing is to make an emergency filing plan based on possible errors in subjective judgment.
After all, a living person cannot be suffocated to death.
. . .
Ye Feng said: "Brother Wang, why do you think people need to practice?"
The question Ye Feng asked was very tricky. Compared with the question "What is the golden mean" that Ye Feng answered before, it was not a concept at all. The latter can be regarded as having a standard fixed answer, but the question Ye Feng asked in the former has absolutely no unified answer. No matter how you answer, as long as you can tell the truth, it is right.
Although the question is about why people should practice, it is actually more about why you should practice. Because this is a question to a person whose "heart is reason", the truth in the outside world is the truth in your heart. So this is a question that seems objective but is extremely subjective. It is also a question that shows people’s personality.
Mr. Yangming naturally knew the meaning behind Ye Feng’s question, so he smiled and said:
"Why should people practice? Because as long as people are alive, they will have pain and troubles. Whether you are in power, rich and powerful, or poor and sleeping in the open, everyone has his own troubles, and everyone is suffering. Running endlessly in the reincarnation, until the death of life, there is never a moment of peace.
"What you have to do in practice is to find true happiness. The enlightened person just sits there quietly, and the happiness he achieves is far beyond the happiness of the king. Because the enlightened person can break the illusion in the heart, understand the heart and see the true nature, Experience every minute and every second of life.
"The heart is like a clear mirror, unmoving. You will see whatever comes, and your mind will be empty immediately afterwards, leaving no trace of dust. Even if you are suffering, your heart can remain unmoving. Just use your own wisdom to deal with this matter things, and the mind is completely unaffected by these pains. There is no pain naturally, just like if someone provokes you for no reason, you will definitely be angry. But what an enlightened person sees is a completely different scene. He knows that it is just A poor person who is controlled by habits and suffers a lot, and uses violence to cover up his inner weakness, will not only not be angry, but will also develop compassion. Because if a person has been happy since childhood, he cannot hurt others for no reason. This It is to break through the illusion and reach the reality. When an enlightened person looks at food, he does not look at its effects, but only its causes. When you know the ultimate nature behind the problem, you will not be disturbed by the external appearance.
"So Sakyamuni said that all living beings have the wisdom of the Tathagata. And this wisdom is hidden in your original heart. It can only be found through continuous inner seeking and awareness. Abandoning the cognition of the brain and feeling with the heart. The truly spiritual me
"Finding your true self is the meaning of spiritual practice."
Ye Feng looked at Mr. Yang Ming, raised the wine bowl and said, "Finding your true self is the meaning of practice. Well said. Although there are many things that I disagree with, I only had to discuss wine with my brother a few times. The value of Tao.”
Ye Feng actually said it very tactfully. First of all, the biggest problem is that Mr. Yangming got one thing wrong, that is, human brain cognition is actually rationality, while the heart is emotional. Human beings are a mixture of rationality and sensibility, which both struggle and combine with each other. But Mr. Yangming combined the two into one and kept them all in mind. That’s why he said things like “Abandon your brain’s cognition” and “Wisdom is hidden in your original heart”
Secondly, if you really abandon the cognition of your brain and only rely on your heart to understand the world, if your heart is truly unmoving at that time, you will not realize that it is pain from the beginning, let alone Said to be affected by these pains
Bodhi has no tree, and the mirror is not a stand; there is nothing in the beginning, so where can it cause dust?
Being able to identify the external environment is naturally the consciousness and cognition generated by the external objects in your brain. How to identify whether the outside world is pain or happiness without the cognition of the brain, and the cognitive consciousness rises to the level of rationality, that is wisdom
So the brain is a good thing, you should still have it, and you can’t throw it away.
In the end, it was the words that were whipped at Ye Feng - "This is to break through the illusion and go straight to the reality. Enlightened people look at food not at its effects, but only at its causes. When you know the ultimate nature behind the problem , you won’t be disturbed by foreign affairs.” Looking at the cause rather than the effect is simply a slap in the face to Ye Feng’s core idea of “good things depend on the heart, bad things depend on the behavior.”
So at this point, you should be able to understand that Ye Feng said that he could not be softer. After all, Ye Feng can't criticize Mr. Yangming in front of him like Zhuangzi. After all, no matter how he criticizes Zhuangzi, he is just complaining about a non-existent dead person. But the guy in front of him is still breathing, so he can save some face.
Moreover, today is the first time we are discussing wine, so we can’t just flip the table over.
What's more, Ren Xiaojin and everyone else are still in the secret realm of unity. Although Ye Feng is sure that Mr. Yangming does not have the guts to do evil to Ren Xiaojin and the others, for Ren Xiaojin, Ye Feng would rather Mr. Yangming become one of his helpers than having another possible saboteur.
You want to say that Ye Feng's behavior is shrinking and compromising. Yes, isn't what I said clear? Ye Feng just backed down and compromised. The key is to see who to compromise for?
For the sake of Ren Xiaojin and everyone else, Ye Feng has temporarily surrendered to "Tian", a person who is obviously not Ye Feng's opponent, and lives under the roof. So, for the sake of everyone, is there anything wrong with Mr. Yangming’s temporary retreat and compromise? Isn't Ye Feng always like this? Besides, Ye Feng's answer could be described as neither humble nor overbearing. How could it be embarrassing? Or do you always think that Ye Feng is the kind of brainless, cool and reckless male protagonist?
Finally, don't think that Mr. Yangming is a practitioner with a good character and can stand up to his problems. Being direct with him is the best way to make friends. But that was only after Ye Feng and Mr. Yangming became sworn friends. Today is the first time the two of them meet as friends. In the face of Ye Feng's harsh criticism, the friendship between the two was not deep enough to test Mr. Yangming's human nature.
The stupidest thing in the world is to test people's humanity
Remember! Remember!
