Ye Feng first explained to everyone what "unity of knowledge and action" means.
As we all know, Wang Yangming's core thoughts include "the heart is reason", "nothing outside the heart and no reason outside the heart", "the unity of knowledge and action", "leading to conscience", etc. Among them, the unity of knowledge and action is Wang Yangming's most important philosophical point of view.
The process of "developing conscience" must involve "practicing". Without "practicing" it cannot be called "true knowledge". "Action" proves that you truly agree with "conscience". The results of "action" can improve your "conscience" intellectually and psychologically. "Doing" and "knowing" cannot be separated, they are integrated. This is consistent with the view that modern materialism emphasizes that "practice and knowledge cannot be separated."
First of all, the integration of knowledge and action can avoid overly exaggerated theories and test the accuracy and feasibility of "knowledge".
Everyone can relate to the health benefits of exercise. But just because you can say it doesn’t mean you can do it. How many people regard physical exercise as important as "eating" and "sleeping" and persist in it every day?
Many parents talk about the theory in front of their children, but the children don't take it seriously, because the parents' behavior does not lead by example, and they do things that are contrary to the theory they say all day long. For example, many parents keep talking about the importance of learning in front of their children, but they are always enjoying themselves in front of the TV and the mahjong table. How can their children listen to you?
Our society is not short of empty theorists, but what it lacks are practitioners who combine knowledge with action.
Secondly, knowledge and action are integrated, and the understanding, memory and application of "knowledge" are deepened through "action".
When the stock market crashes, novices see fear, while veterans see opportunities. Because novices have never experienced such horrific scenes, while veterans have experienced such scenes countless times, survived such horrific events, and even profited from them several times later. The same thing, in the hearts of novices, is a scary world, in the hearts of veterans, it is a beautiful world.
On the battlefield, new recruits learned military theory, and veterans who survived several battles learned the same theory. However, the effects of the two are different. Among recruits, there is a huge gap between theory and practical skills. Whether he can survive the battle depends on his luck. In the veteran, this knowledge was realized by him personally in battle, and it has become his instinct. Theory and action have been combined into one, becoming a skill or wisdom.
Finally, because "heart" is your world. Therefore, in the game, you can achieve your own goals by interfering with the "heart".
In the art of war in ancient my country, there is a strategy called "stimulating generals", which can make you emotionally disturbed and mentally unstable, thereby affecting your normal thinking ability.
From Wang Yangming's several experiences in suppressing bandits and rebelling, he did not have complicated tactics. He always used forged evidence, created falsehoods, and spread false information to deceive the enemy, develop in the direction he expected, and finally achieve his goal.
The biggest advantage of Wang Yangming's academic mind is that "there is nothing outside the mind". A person with a strong inner mind, or a person who has achieved "inner strength" by constantly "developing conscience" and integrating knowledge and action, has unparalleled control over the world. of.
At this point, it is consistent with Ye Feng's Three-Yuan Tai Chi thinking in the different ways and the emphasis on the importance of "human nature" and "choices of the human heart" in the field of chaotic thinking of the human heart.
So as mentioned before, although Ye Feng's heresy is a theory opposite to Yangming's theory of mind, it also has the same content as Yangming's theory of mind. There is a positive in the opposite, and a positive in the negative. This is in line with " The principle of "the opposite is the movement of Tao".
This is like even if the two sides are enemies, but if they are real enemies, then you must understand the ins and outs of the points where the other party's position conflicts with yours. And this is why we often say, "The person who knows you best in the world, apart from your confidant, is your real enemy."
. . .
In the space of Liangzhi Yushu just now, at the last moment when Ye Feng was about to leave, Mr. Yangming asked Ye Feng if he would visit him again. After all, in his opinion, sitting and discussing with Ye Feng would be as arrogant as the ancients. It would be even more perfect if I could not get beaten.
I think back then, Confucius asked Laozi four times, and the two were both teachers and friends. Although later generations of Confucian and Taoist disciples "attacked" each other, they did not realize that the relationship between their ancestors was extremely good.
And Ye Feng smiled and said: "Maybe every time I come here, I will beat you first in order not to leave any regrets. What should I do?"
Hearing this, Mr. Yangming was also stunned, and then smiled bitterly.
Both sides know that "seeing each other again" is just a wishful thinking. A person can only come to the Conscience Jade Book Space to be tested once in his life. This is the rule. In reality, we often say that it is difficult to find a confidant, but sometimes it is even more difficult to find an opponent who is evenly matched and sympathetic to each other, especially for a strong man like Mr. Yangming who has reached a height of thought unreachable by his predecessors. An enemy is hard to find. Therefore, for an ideological "old enemy" like Ye Feng, Mr. Yangming naturally wanted to see him again even if he wanted to be beaten. But in this case, even getting beaten again is a delusion.
I have to say, is it possible that Mr. Yangming has masochistic tendencies?
So under Mr. Yangming's wry smile, Ye Feng waved goodbye and disappeared.
. . .
After Ye Feng explained to everyone "what is the unity of knowledge and action", he continued:
"Cultivation is never just about covering one's head and being in seclusion. It needs to be combined with the experience of the world of mortals, which is the unity of knowledge and action emphasized in Yangming's philosophy of mind. This is what we often see in TV dramas and novels, practicing hard in the mountains for several years. After that, you must "go down the mountain to experience". After all, all the great avenues in the world exist in everything in the world. "Go down the mountain to experience" and come into contact with many things, there will always be opportunities to draw parallels. This is what we often call an opportunity. After all, the cave retreat , what you see are always rocky cliffs, very monotonous, and you may become obsessed with them.”
Speaking of going crazy, Xun'er glared at Ye Feng, dismissing Ye Feng's idea of further elaborating on the point of going crazy. After all, Xun'er became obsessed because of seclusion.
"The secret realm of unity, the full name is the secret realm of unity of knowledge and action. To put it bluntly, it is an illusion. It is just that when you practice here, when you reach the key bottleneck, it will cast illusions and give you "downhill experience" that can help you realize breakthroughs. situation.
"That is to say, spiritual practice no longer requires the actual process of 'going down the mountain to experience'. This is simply the biggest golden finger in fairy tales and fantasy novels."
Finally, Ye Feng concluded: "The key to the secret realm of unity given to me by the Conscience Jade Book is the most important treasure. Compared with it, the so-called top-level heaven-level skills are really only worthy of being called garbage." .”
