Ten Thousand People went to Ye Feng and said, "I'm sorry, Mr. Ye, that old man of mine is going to be embarrassed again."
Ye Feng looked at the crowd and thought to himself, no wonder you were whipped by your old man for nothing. If I were your father, I would slap you the same way. Do you say that to your own father?
But Ye Feng smiled and said: "I think Palace Master Wan is very wise."
In the impression that Ye Feng "deliberately" gives everyone: Although Ye Feng is the three schools of "Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism" integrated into one, the three schools are not advancing at the same time. Among them, Taoism is the strongest, Confucianism is the second, and Buddhism is the weakest.
So according to Wan Jinan's estimation, Ye Yi, as Ye Feng's teacher, should also be an expert in Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. Although it may not be possible to combine the three families into one like Ye Feng, but if they are separated, each family should have a stronger understanding than Ye Feng.
As a student, Ye Feng's Taoist understanding is on par with Zhang Ziling's, so the teacher Ye Yi's preaching must be better than Niubi's;
Although Ye Feng's Confucian understanding is not as good as Cheng Xi's, it is not far behind. Therefore, when it comes to Confucianism, if a hypocrite compares with Ye Yi, the chance of winning should not be great.
There is only Buddhism, and Ye Feng's understanding of Buddhism is very poor. Only in terms of Zen Buddhism, Ye Yi should have a great chance of winning.
Therefore, Wan Jinan's purpose was to have Master Puhong compete with Ye Yi in a Zen Buddhism competition.
With his keen awareness, Wan Jinan realized that since he might not be able to defeat Ye Yi in terms of force, he could only use Tian Ji's horse racing trick: a superior horse versus an inferior horse.
That’s why Wan Jinan used his body as bait to force Monk Puhong to die.
Therefore, Ye Yi's evaluation of Wan Jin'an, or Ye Feng's evaluation of Wan Jin'an: Palace Master Wan is not as reckless as he appears on the surface. Instead, he is very calm and has a good heart. But unfortunately, it seems that thousands of people have only inherited his father's superficial recklessness, without his inner intelligence and delicateness.
As expected, Monk Puhong clasped his hands and said to Wan Jinan: "Master Wanfu, it is better for Lao Monk to do the Buddhist teachings. After all, I also want to know how good a teacher can be who can teach such disciples." realm.”
As he said this, Monk Puhong said to Ye Yiyi: "Looking at Ye's almsgiving, I will not hesitate to give you advice."
And Ye Yi also clasped his hands together.
Monk Puhong had to end the game, because if he didn't end the game, he would have to leave the game. Although it was Wan Jinan who made a fool of himself, he was Wan Jinan after all, and he was thick-skinned. However, he made a fool of himself in front of others with his Buddhist temple. Just imagine, if he manifested a Guanyin Bodhisattva and danced erotically, then the reputation of Leiyin Temple would be completely destroyed by him. So Puhong had no choice but to end the game.
In the current situation, everyone at the Ascension Conference: the heads of the seven major sects, the royal family of the Great Xia Dynasty, the academy, third-party forces, outsiders, etc. are all chess pieces in this chess game, and everyone is on the chess board. Everyone showed off their magical powers and showed their scheming and intelligence.
As everyone knows, outside the entire chessboard, Ye Feng is the only one holding the pieces, playing chess with himself. Ye Feng was overlooking them from the height and dimension outside the chessboard. Ye Feng wanted to find something and discern something from this game of chess.
Puhong's whole body was seen to be shining with Buddha's light, and a golden Buddha nearly one million feet tall appeared behind him. Moreover, the Buddha's face was kind, his eyebrows were kind, his eyes were solemn and majestic, and his whole body was illuminated by Buddha's light. The sound of Sanskrit sounds echoed throughout the sky, and countless Buddha lights spread out thousands of miles like ripples. It was really like the Tathagata coming to the world.
When Ye Yi saw this, he couldn't help but praise: "Master, the Buddha's thoughts are clear and virtuous."
But what was strange was the situation at Ye Yi's place. There was no Buddha's light around him. Instead, the wisps of billowing black smoke suddenly turned into surging demonic energy. But behind Ye Yi, a dark golden Buddha nearly one million feet in height also appeared, without the Buddha's light shining all over it.
Different from Puhong's kind-faced, solemn and majestic Buddha, Ye Feng's Buddha makes it hard to tell what it is. If you have to describe it, it is all-changing: in the eyes of some people, it looks evil, but in the eyes of others, it looks evil. However, he also has kind eyebrows and kind eyes, and is compassionate to the world, just like a Bodhisattva. Some people even see emotions, anger, sorrow, joy and sorrow from the face of the Buddha statue. If the Buddha in Puhong is solemn and majestic, then Ye Yi is indeed a lifelike and immersive representation of the hot and cold world and the various conditions in the world.
The biggest difference is that Ye Yi's Buddha often has terrifying skeletons and the whole body of the Buddha looming, and the skeleton is the Buddha's golden body.
The essence of this competition is actually that both sides embody their respective understandings of Buddhism on the Golden Buddha.
Everyone below looked at the Dharma duel in another space on the sky. Even though many people couldn't understand it, they instinctively felt that they were more willing to get closer to the weird Buddha. It’s not that the Buddha, the universal saint monk, can’t do it. Objectively speaking, Master Puhong's Buddha has no flaws and is impeccably perfect. But on the other hand, Ye Yi's Buddha is full of flaws. And this is more than just the people below. Even the other six people above had the same opinion. But honestly speaking, for some reason, if I had to choose between the two Buddha statues of Pu Hong and Ye Yi, everyone would choose Ye Yi's Buddha, regardless of the people above or below.
As for why, they themselves don't understand. It seems that both parties must speak out before others can understand.
Pu Hong looked at the Buddha behind Ye Yi and was silent for a long time. Then he clasped his hands and said, "Please feel free to teach me."
Ye Daodao: "Master, you are very kind and compassionate, and you are compassionate to the world, which is a great kindness. But here is your problem. Master, the distinction between good and evil, Buddha and demon in your eyes is too important. You must know that in the eyes of Buddha, Here, there is no distinction between good and evil Buddhas and demons.
"If a Bodhisattva has the appearance of me, the appearance of human beings, the appearance of sentient beings, or the appearance of a being, he is not a Bodhisattva. Anyone who sees me with form or seeks me with sounds is a person who practices evil ways and cannot see the Tathagata. All appearances are false. If you see me If the form is not the form, you will see the Tathagata. All conditioned dharmas are like bubbles in a dream, like dew or lightning, and should be viewed as such.
“Therefore, the Buddha has no appearance, no appearance of self, no appearance of no one, no appearance of living beings, and no appearance of lifespan.
"However, 'the opposite is the movement of the Tao, and the weak is the use of the Tao.' Although the Buddha has no form, it is not really without form, but takes all living beings as the form. And the form comes from the heart, one thought becomes a demon, one thought becomes a Buddha, Buddha Looking at all living beings, all living beings are Buddhas; looking at all living beings with demonic eyes, all living beings are demons.
"Confucianism says: Even ordinary people can be saints. Buddhism says: Everyone can become a Buddha. People have not awakened to the Buddha, but the Buddha has awakened people.
"Master, the 'everyone' in your eyes has long been divided into three, six or nine levels by your distinction between good and evil Buddhas and demons. So, master, do you still have everyone in your eyes?"
Pu Hong trembled slightly, closed his eyes and remained silent. After a long time, he opened his eyes, clasped his hands together and said, "Donor Ye is indeed capable of teaching such students. In this competition, I will admit defeat."
