The narrator said: Ye Feng's personality changed a lot when he was a child compared to now.

Ye Yu said: You are right.

In fact, you will find that Ye Feng's character as a child is already very different from that of Ye Feng who was not involved in the demon world in Yong'an. In that case, not to mention Ye Feng, the Thousand-Year Demon King, there is no trace of the past at all. Just like the young Runtu and the adult Runtu in Lu Xun's works. But for Ye Feng, some things have not changed from beginning to end.

After all, sometimes, even if you don't want to grow up, want to stop, think, "A man will be a boy until he dies", want to wait and slow down, but time will not give you this opportunity, and you will still spend every moment. The day that seems to belong to you is consumed, forcing you to welcome the second day, then the third day, the fourth day, and finally one year, two years, three years, or even ten years. You will grow up slowly, your personality will gradually change, and you will gradually become less like your past self. In fact, this is called the formation of three views.

Although I really want to discuss the issue of changes in the growth process in a long and relatively systematic and comprehensive manner, but on the one hand, I have mentioned it a lot before, and on the other hand, I am not in the mood, but the most important thing is that my strength does not allow it. So I won’t go into details anymore, but just talk about it casually and take it as far as it goes. However, even if I don’t want to go into details, I still want to mention one thing first:

Even if you have all kinds of reasons and excuses, and you can completely convince yourself, others, and me, you can stick to this from beginning to end: A man will be a boy until he dies. But I still hope you can realize one thing - when you grow up, it's time to grow up.

It is said in the "Tao Te Ching" that "the way of heaven is to make up for the excess of damage." If you evade the responsibility of growing up, then that responsibility will not disappear because of your evasion, but will be passed on to others. Generally speaking, When it comes to passing on someone, they will always be your parents. If your family is well off and your parents are healthy, and you are still childish at such an old age, they will think you are cute. After all, what parent in the world doesn’t love their children? Even if you are 50 years old, in their eyes, you are still their son or daughter. However, if your family conditions are not good, your parents are old and sick, and if you have not grown up yet, human tragedy may happen to you tomorrow. This kind of person, to put it bluntly, is a "giant baby."

Of course, there are other people who are just the opposite of the "giant babies" just mentioned. They often look young, but they are indifferent, sober, and even old beyond their age. Maybe you would say, isn't that someone like Ye Feng? In fact, it’s not wrong. But such people are not uncommon in our lives, and there is a high probability that such people have truly experienced the true abyss of life.

If a person has the charm beyond his age, he must have experienced setbacks that his age should not have to endure. This setback simply robbed him of something he should have had like everyone else at his age.

Some people may think that this is a gift given to them by life and a great opportunity in the process of growing up.

But in my opinion, if your ability can keep up and overcome the setbacks, then it is called opportunity. And if your ability cannot keep up, you will be tortured by setbacks, which is simply suffering. If it is the latter, there is a high probability that he will think that his life is hopeless and gloomy. He could have gradually understood his life and the world in front of him. Get in touch with the joys and sorrows he should have at every stage. But if this process is accelerated by man or God, it will actually be an overdraft of the human soul. Just like a young man should wear bright clothes, be high-spirited, be high-spirited, and not be romantic. However, when you were a young man, you were mature and prudent. When you grow old, will you ever recall and appreciate the high-spirited things of a young man in your mind? ? If not, this is undoubtedly not a life regret that cannot be changed.

It can be seen from the above that one's own ability is the key, and this is also the reason why Ye Feng continues to become stronger. In life, we also have our own ways of becoming stronger. There is actually no need to teach how to become stronger, we all know it ourselves. All we lack is the courage and perseverance to put it into practice.

We said before that life is a practice. Lao Tzu's "Tao Te Ching" says, "In order to learn, we are getting better and better, and in order to be Tao, we are getting damaged day by day, and we are getting damaged again and again, so that we can do nothing, and we can do nothing without doing anything." What does this sentence mean?

"In order to learn more and more" means that learning requires knowledge, reading, and experience. It gradually accumulates and increases bit by bit. The more effort you make, the more you gain, and your knowledge will become bigger and bigger. However, studying Taoism is the opposite of doing knowledge. "For Taoism, daily loss" means to throw away. Daily loss means throwing away a little bit every day and throwing away a little more tomorrow. You have to put down and throw away everything. For people, the most important thing is desire. Loss after loss, to the point of doing nothing means: everything is empty, until finally even the emptiness is emptied, and it becomes empty until there is nothing; then there is nothing, everything is known, everything is there, this is the truth.

It seems a bit convoluted, but to put it simply, what is mentioned here is actually two kinds of wisdom: "affordable" and "able to let go". We must "afford" things that are meaningful to our success, such as knowledge, reading, experience, etc., and "let go of things that hinder us, such as indulgence in desires." Only in this way can we "do nothing" and ultimately "do nothing." And do everything." And this is also the most important way to improve our abilities. But the mistake we often make is that we fail to pick up what we should pick up, and we refuse to let go of what we should put down, and we just live our lives in a mediocre way.

In Buddhism, there is a view of red and pink bones: viewing beauty as white bones makes people have no desire, which is called white bones view; viewing white bones as beautiful people makes people have no fear, which is called red pink view. "If a person can really have no desires and no fears, then he should be invincible. But if a person can really have no desires and no fears all the time, then this person may also be boring. It is better to be an ordinary person with seven emotions and six desires. Human beings, when we are born as human beings, we should experience the human experience.

There is no need to deliberately grow, force yourself to understand, just let nature take its course. As long as we never forget to "take it up" and "let it go" and work hard to improve our abilities, then we will not regret for life for being mediocre, not blame ourselves for being young and frivolous, and not be obsessed with being ordinary and mediocre. Feel guilty and regretful, and don’t be anxious about the long days to come.

Get in touch with the world more and give yourself more possibilities to experience things in the world of mortals. Ye Feng’s humanistic practice method, but isn’t it a practice method for each of us “people”?

When the time comes, the world will naturally bring about what you want.

It means "Tao follows nature."
