In a pavilion on the top of a mountain in Tushita Cave, an old man in white clothes with gray hair and immortal style was sitting quietly in front of a stone table with a Go board. This old man is none other than the Supreme True Monarch, Qing Ni’s master, and the Taoist Lao Tzu we often call him. Sitting on the stone bench opposite Shangjun was Ye Feng, while Qingni and Tu Shanling obediently moved closer to the beauties in the pavilion.
The narrator said: Maybe some people don’t know what a “beauty chair” is. Let me educate you here. The “beauty chair” is also called the “flying chair” or the Wu Wang chair. It is a kind of chair with a bench at the bottom and a railing at the top. The wooden building is named after the protruding backrest that curves like a gooseneck. Its elegant and graceful curve design conforms to the contours of the human body, making it very comfortable to sit on. It is usually built on the waterside side of the cloister or pavilion sill. In addition to resting, it also has the pleasure of reflecting in the waves. It is said that the beauty chair is the elegant name for the chairs set up around the upstairs patio of Huizhou houses. Ancient houses in Huizhou often use the upper floor as the main place for daily rest and activities. In ancient times, women in the boudoir could not easily go downstairs to go out. When they were lonely, they could only lean on the chairs around the patio, looking at the outside world, or peeking at the entertainment coming and going downstairs. Therefore, this chair is known as the beauty chair.
Just now, when Ye Feng and the others arrived, Ye Feng had already bowed to the Lord. After all, as Ye Feng said, the old man in front of him was not only Qing Ni's master, but also Lao Tzu, the founder of Taoism. Because Laozi passed down the Taoist classic "Tao Te Ching", he called Laojun the Taoist God of Taiqing, and was also regarded as the ancestor of Taoism by Taoism. Ye Feng naturally respects him, and this cannot be faked.
At first, Shangjun didn't have a very good impression of Ye Feng, but as the saying goes, don't hit the smiling person, and Ye Feng was also courteous to him. Although the Lord doesn't care about these common etiquette, he still appreciates the respect behind the etiquette. So he nodded and asked Ye Feng to sit down.
"Why did you come to my place today?" The Lord clearly knew why Ye Feng came, but he deliberately pretended not to know. Because some things must be learned from famous people, and the people involved must say it in person, and cannot lie to others.
"This junior is here today for the sake of my senior's disciple, Miss Qing Ni." Ye Feng looked at the Lord quietly and said. You may be able to bark calmly in private, but if you still bark like that in front of the other party's elders, you will be beaten.
Ye Feng's breathing slowly became rapid at this moment.
"Come for her?" The Lord said calmly.
"Junior wants to keep Miss Qingni by his side, so I came to ask for permission from senior." Ye Feng was also straightforward. For those who like to pretend to be confused, straight shots are always the best solution.
"Why?" The Lord asked.
"This junior likes Miss Qingni, so I want to keep her by my side." Ye Feng was also straightforward, looking at the Lord calmly and said without any hesitation or confusion.
Qing Ni, who was sitting next to him, listened to the conversation between his master and Ye Feng, and lowered his head with a blush on his face.
The Lord also looked quietly at the young man in front of him who was now famous in the world. Looking at the look in his eyes, I gradually became confused and asked: "Why, you are obviously no more than 20 years old, but why do you have more than 400 years of vicissitudes, loneliness, determination and precipitation in your eyes?"
Ye Feng did not answer, but looked back at the Lord calmly. The Lord did not force Ye Feng to answer. After a moment, the Lord seemed to understand something and said slowly: "No wonder, without spiritual roots, you can reach where you are today. It turns out that you are walking the human way, and that is the human way. The method of cultivation is really very difficult."
At this time, I could hear the conversation between the two of you with clear clouds and mountains, and looked at my master in confusion.
Seeing Qing Ni's behavior, the Lord smiled and said, "Qing'er, originally I wanted to ask your opinion, but I think it's no longer necessary to ask. After all, you haven't even gotten married yet, and you've already planned to give away all the good things from your mother's family." You've all moved to your husband's house, you are really filial to me."
Qing Ni's face turned completely red all of a sudden. The reason for the blush may be that her plan to empty the Kung Fu Pavilion and give it to Ye Feng was discovered by her master. It may also be because the master used this kind of food from her mother-in-law's family after she got married. The title is the reason for calling oneself. However, no one knows whether it is due to specific reasons or a combination of both. However, when Qingni thought that she might never see her master again, she suppressed her shyness and shamelessly ran up behind the Lord and slapped him on the shoulder.
After all, Qing Ni has been doing this kind of shoulder-beating thing for many years. He may not be able to do it for his master for a long time in the future. And the Lord also knows that it may be a long time before his precious apprentice has a chance to beat him on the shoulder. I felt sad. In fact, with your cultivation and temperament, I shouldn’t have felt this way, but Qingni was really my favorite disciple. That's why Your Majesty, like any father in the world whose daughter has a boyfriend when she grows up, strictly inspects her daughter's boyfriend. After all, her daughter is being handed over to a man she didn't even know before and asked to take care of her daughter. Which father in the world would not be cautious about this kind of thing.
"Boy, do you know the differences and connections between Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism?" The Lord suddenly asked Ye Feng.
"..." Tu Shanling was completely confused, why did she suddenly mention the difference between Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism? This kind of thing makes her head spin when she hears it. Has the test for Ye Feng already begun?
This time Tu Shanling guessed correctly, it was indeed the test question that Shangjun was giving. So even though Ye Feng knew that he was facing a theoretical master like the Taoist ancestor, he must be the end result of playing tricks on others, but he had to say it, so he sighed and said:
"Confucianism talks about the relationship between people, and cultivates righteousness. Its thoughts are based on virtue. It is essentially a progressive wisdom for worldly affairs. It pays attention to benevolence, etiquette, and moderation. It seeks knowledge through the study of things, cultivates morality, manages the country, and brings peace to the world.
"Buddhism talks about the relationship between people and themselves. Buddhism practices the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path. Its thinking is based on emptiness. In essence, it uses transcendental thoughts to do things in the world, and through introspection of one's own nature, one can free himself from troubles. Six Survive reincarnation, help others and yourself, practice precepts, concentration and wisdom, so that your mind should be born without abode.
"Taoism talks about the relationship between man, nature and the universe. Taoism cultivates the atmosphere and nourishes the pure qi. Its thoughts are based on heaven. It is essentially a regular and transcendent method. It pays attention to the way of Tao following nature, the unity of nature and man, and the cultivation of emptiness and tranquility. Cure by doing nothing. Follow the way of nature, nourish the body of nature, and use false cultivation to promote the harmony between body, mind and nature.
"And the connection between Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism is that the three religions can be unified into "a body without good or evil, with good and evil actions, knowing good and evil is conscience, doing good and eliminating evil is observing things", and this is from the Ming Dynasty Wang Yangming’s theory of mind.”
