Li Daoxuan told him what happened just now.
After hearing this, the little fat man almost cried and said, "What evil have I done? I'm being bullied even though I'm in the dark!"
While crying, he bowed to Li Daoxuan.
"Thank you very much, brother, for speaking up for me. I will be rewarded in a big way one day!"
In his eyes, Li Daoxuan had no power fluctuations and no strong blood energy. He was just an ordinary Taoist priest. Otherwise, for an expert in the Yin Shen realm, he would not be able to say generous rewards.
Li Dao
He looks ordinary, handsome and elegant, like a scholar, but in fact he has a hidden edge. If he doesn't show it, it will be earth-shattering!
The little fat man was very frustrated. He packed up the stall and prepared to leave.
Gu~
His stomach growled, obviously he was hungry.
The little fat man took out half a piece of biscuit from his arms, with a trace of reluctance in his eyes, and finally bit it down.
There was a deep look of satisfaction in his eyes, as if as long as he had something to eat, all his unhappiness would disappear.
Li Daoxuan was a little surprised. How could a Maoshan disciple not have Bigu Pill?
He has already entered the Bigu state, and he still eats whole grains. Wouldn't the pure and turbid food conflict with each other and cause pain in the lower abdomen?
He had made this mistake before.
After eating this pancake, the little fat man's eyes showed a trace of longing. He was still not full.
At this time, Li Daoxuan said: "This Taoist brother, for the sake of everyone being members of the Taoist sect, why don't I treat you to a meal?"
The little fat man's mouth trembled and he said: "Then...why are you so embarrassed?"
"I heard that there is a Buzui Restaurant in Liling City. The roasted lamb legs there are very famous. Why not try it?"
The little fat man swallowed hard and said, "I...I have no money."
Li Daoxuan smiled and said: "It doesn't matter, I've said it all, I'll treat you."
…
A moment later, in the drunken building, the little fat man was gnawing on the sizzling and oily roasted leg of lamb. He was eating so much that he was like a starving ghost.
This meal greatly shortened the distance between the two of them. The little fat man was very simple and soon made everything clear about his background.
His name was Lu Chunliang, and he did not worship Maoshan since he was a child. Instead, he was valued by a wandering Maoshan master when he was fourteen years old. He was accepted as an apprentice and brought back to Maoshan.
But from that point on, it was hell for him.
Lu Chunliang had no other hobbies in his life except eating.
Practicing fasting was a life-threatening practice for him, so when he was in Maoshan, he always secretly killed a pheasant to eat it.
The master dotes on him very much, and sometimes he just turns a blind eye or closes one eye when he finds out.
Until he entered the early stage of ineditation.
During the fasting period, you need to strictly fasting and take fasting pills. After taking the pills, you will no longer feel hungry and will naturally lose your appetite.
During that time, Lu Chunliang was in agony.
In order to have a bite to eat, he sneaked down the mountain ruthlessly, preparing to return to his hometown in Chang'an and continue to be his rich young master.
However, he did not bring Bigu Pill with him. After going down the mountain, he found that a penny was too much for the hero, so he had no choice but to perform in a shady way to make money.
Li Dao How did you do it?"
The little fat man seemed to have solved the problem that even he couldn't solve back then.
Lu Chunliang chuckled and said, "This is not easy. I wish I didn't practice!"
He said it so naturally that Li Daoxuan was speechless for a moment.
After a while, Li Daoxuan saw him eating happily and thought of a plan to scare him.
"Brother Lu, you are new here, so you shouldn't rush into the dark side."
Lu Chunliang gnawed on the leg of lamb and muttered, "Is it swollen?"
"Brother Lu, don't you know that Liling City...is the territory of the Xudu Ghost King?"
"The Ghost King with an empty stomach? What does he have-"
Lu Chunliang's voice suddenly stopped. The fat on his body shook, and there was a look of horror in his eyes. It seemed that even the roasted leg of lamb no longer tasted good.
Li Daoxuan sighed and said: "Brother Lu, the souls of those who died in Liling City will enter the underworld and be governed by the Ghost King of Xudu. In his realm, you used the art of walking without authorization to summon the souls of the underworld. The overbearing temperament of the Ghost King with an empty stomach..."
Lu Chunliang's face was pale. As a cultivator, he had naturally heard of the name of the Ghost King of the Void Belly. It was definitely a childhood nightmare, a terrifying existence that could stop children from crying at night!
His hand holding the roasted leg of lamb trembled slightly, he opened his big mouth, bitten all the meat, swallowed it, and then said to Li Daoxuan: "Brother, please help me."
"Are you full?"
"No, I'm a little scared, my legs are weak."
Li Daoxuan: "..."
…
A moment later, he helped Lu Chunliang down to the Buzui Tower.
A wisp of fragrant wind blows, the smell of roasted chicken in lotus leaves.
Lu Chunliang's stomach made a sound again.
Li Daoxuan was shocked. Didn't you just eat a big leg of lamb?
"Hey, brother, can I borrow some money from you again so I can buy a roasted chicken with lotus leaves?"
Li Daoxuan looked at the place where the fragrance came from. It was on the other side of the river. It would take a lot of detours to get there. It would be better to go directly by boat.
"Come on, let's take a boat there."
There were many boatmen on the river. When they saw the two coming, an old boatman rowed over. The boat was very old, smelled of decay, and was stained with water plants.
The old boatman turned his back to them, his voice was low and hoarse.
"Two of you, five coins per person across the river."
Li Daoxuan was slightly startled because the blue dragon tattoo on his back was faintly hot, reminding him that something unclean was approaching around him.
Just as he was observing the boatman, Lu Chunliang got on the boat with a pop, handed the old boatman ten copper coins, then waved to Li Daoxuan and said: "Brother, come up quickly, I'll pay you for the boat fare!"
Li Daoxuan smiled slightly and stepped onto the wooden boat calmly.
Interesting, he wanted to see what the old boatman was up to.
After entering the Yin Shen Realm, he happened to have not yet tested his strength.
The old boatman turned his back to the two of them and started rowing. He rowed very smoothly, and no one could feel any bumps.
There was a shed on the boat, and Lu Chunliang asked Li Daoxuan to sit down.
"Brother, you treated me to a big dinner this time. I, Lu Chunliang, am by no means an ungrateful person. If you hold this talisman, it will keep you safe in the future!"
He took out a Maoshan peace amulet and handed it to Li Daoxuan. The effect was similar to the Longhushan amulet.
He said seriously: "Brother, this talisman is extremely precious. Even I don't have many of them!"
As soon as he finished speaking, the boat suddenly bumped.
Lu Chunliang swayed, and a thick stack of talismans fell out from his sleeves. They were all identical peace talismans, and there were at least two to three hundred of them.
The two looked at each other, and the atmosphere suddenly felt awkward.
Lu Chunliang scratched his head. He silently picked up the pile of talismans, then laughed and walked out of the boat shed.
"Haha, brother, the weather is really nice today—"
His voice stopped suddenly, because the day, which was sunny before, had now become dark.
The sky was as dark as ink, without even a single star.
The old boatman was still paddling steadily, but the river bank in front of him had long since disappeared, replaced by the endless darkness.
Li Daoxuan came out and said, "Brother Lu, do you feel that this boat has been traveling for too long?"
The other side of the river was only a dozen feet away, so rowing only took a moment, but now a full moment had passed and the boat was still rowing.
Looking back, in the hazy mist, densely packed small boats appeared in the same direction as them.
The boats are all white, as if they were made of funeral paper.
Thank you to the storyteller in white for the 1,500-dollar reward. Thank you!
Note: The small boat passed away from now on, and the river and sea left it for the rest of my life. This is Su Dongpo's poem. The title of this chapter is a metamorphosis. I made it up myself. Please don't take it seriously.
