Yama of the Tenth Hall, you look at me and I look at you, wondering why this great Bodhisattva has started to act rogue.
"Bodhisattva, there are not many people in the world who can possess such Buddhism. What's more, this person's ability is exactly the same as yours. It's the same thing as what you just said." Emperor Song was a man with a curly hair Hu, who looked like a middle-aged man, said helplessly at this time.
The emperor of the Song Dynasty had a benevolent and filial nature, with a pure heart. He hated evil as much as he wanted to. He was keenly aware of the details. He would deal with those who spread false knowledge and wrong views, those who were arrogant and reckless, those who were ungrateful and slanderous, or those who were murderous, cruel and vicious, or those who tried to exonerate evil people. If you wait, you will never be forgiven, and you will be thrown into all kinds of hells set up by this temple.
He is also the king of hell who is in charge of the third hall of hell.
Being able to be squeezed into this state by such a gentle and kind-hearted King of Hell proves that the King of Hell of the Ten Palaces really has nothing to do with the great Bodhisattva in front of him.
"I'm talking about Xiao Song." Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva began to console him: "Buddha said that everything has cause and effect. You just need to take care of your own three-acre land and do what you want to do."
No one would have thought that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva would be such a playful person in private. Not only did he not show off his Buddhist prowess, but his words seemed like casual conversations between ordinary people. How could he look like an enlightened monk?
All the kings of hell were helpless, but still refused to leave immediately.
"Everyone, please go back." Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva gave the order to expel the guests.
But no one moved.
This is a naked and silent protest against the inaction of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.
"Aren't you busy?" Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva asked again.
Still no one paid attention to him.
"Amitabha." Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva said a Buddhist verse, "Well, I'll let you hear it and try it. If you can hear it, I'll tell you, okay?"
Only then did the King of Hell of the Tenth Palace look happy.
Di Ting is an auspicious beast with a tiger head, a single horn, dog ears, a dragon body, a lion tail, and a unicorn foot. It looks like a dragon but not a dragon, a tiger but not a tiger, a lion but not a lion, a unicorn but not a unicorn, a dog but not a dog, and one horn. Expresses arbitrariness.
The body of the dragon represents auspiciousness, the head of the tiger represents wisdom and courage, the ears of the dog represent good listening, the tail of the lion represents patience, and the feet of the unicorn represent stability and good fortune. It is widely known among the people as the "nine different images".
Tingting, as the mount of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, was originally a big white dog, because Ksitigarbha’s teachings are based on filial piety and the dog’s nature is loyal, just like the lion of Manjushri represents wisdom, and the white elephant of Samantabhadra represents great conduct, Ksitigarbha’s Tingting Shows unwavering loyalty.
However, from the perspective of strength, this ability to listen is much more powerful than the lion and white elephant under the two great Bodhisattvas Manjushri and Samantabhadra. He can identify all things in the world through listening, and is especially good at listening to people's hearts.
In the chapter about the real and fake Monkey King, Listening is the only mythical beast other than Tathagata Buddha that can identify fake monkeys.
Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva waved his hand towards the distance, and walked out of the listening ear with his sutra in mind, retaining the original habit of sticking out his tongue.
"Tee Ting, please help the Tenth Hall King of Hell to find out who the person who uses our Dharma is."
Di Ting bowed her head and placed one side of her head on the ground.
A trace of hope appeared on the face of the Tenth Palace King of Hell.
After a long time, Tingting raised his head and said, "Bodhisattva, you are a young man."
"Oh?" Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva became interested, "What kind of young man is he?"
Di Ting explained Lin Biao's facial features in detail. He didn't even need the Ten Palaces of Hell to ask. He told all the causes and consequences of Lin Biao's release of Buddhism, which avoided the other party's further questions.
"Amitabha, hell kings, I really don't know that young monk." Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva said.
After waiting for a long time, seeing Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva no longer speaking, all the kings of hell had a look of astonishment on their faces.
"Is it over?" King Chu Jiang asked.
"What else?" Bodhisattva asked, "Don't you want an explanation, but this explanation is not enough?"
"Of course it's not enough." The Prince of the Fourth Hall said helplessly. "Why does this person know the Dharma of Bodhisattva?"
"Maybe he read the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's Original Vow Sutra and gained enlightenment?" Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva scratched his bald head and said uncertainly.
"This..." King Bian Cheng quit, "If I read your scriptures, I can become a Buddha immediately. Do you think we believe it?"
"Indeed..." Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva nodded solemnly, "I must have read many other Buddhist scriptures, otherwise it wouldn't be like this."
"Hey! That's not what we asked."
"Then the poor monk can't go to the human world and bring back the state he finally achieved, right?" The Bodhisattva rolled his eyes, feeling a little unhappy.
"No, no." King Yama finally came out to smooth things over, "Although this hell is controlled by a few minor gods, it is also within your jurisdiction, isn't it? It's always so noisy, and the ghost world is restless."
"I probably understand the reason for this. It should be that the ghosts in hell think that the poor monk is trying to drive away their souls. After all, that sutra is very powerful for salvation." The Bodhisattva replied with a slight smile, seeming to be a little smug, "It doesn't matter, I'll come back later." If you recite another chapter of the Zhancha Sutra, the ghost world should be restored to its original state."
"Thank you Bodhisattva." King Yama bowed and saluted.
"Can you go back? Aren't you busy?" Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva said.
There was a hint of embarrassment on the faces of all the kings of hell. It seemed that they could not ask for anything more. They all said goodbye to the little god and disappeared into the Buddhist temple one after another.
The most incompatible place with the environment of hell is this Buddhist temple, called Cuiyun Palace, which is the dojo of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva in the underworld. Not to mention that ordinary ghosts are not allowed to enter here, even if the Tenth Hall of Hell comes, They will also feel a little uncomfortable. It's not that the thick Buddha's breath suppresses their abilities, but that the Buddhist breath here is really incompatible with the illusion of the underworld, and they are naturally incompatible with each other.
After all the kings of hell left, Tingting asked the Bodhisattva: "Bodhisattva, why don't you teach me to tell the king of hell about that person's heels?"
"If the word cause and effect is so easy to understand, why should Buddhism be used?" Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva asked in confusion.
Without waiting for more questions, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva continued: "Although that young man practices Buddhism the same as ours, there are some differences. Unless he is a disciple of the Buddha who is extremely profound in Buddhism, even ordinary Bodhisattvas and Arhats will be different." There is no way to know the true meaning, you and I are the ones who know the difference best in the world, but fortunately, this young man's fundamentals are exactly the same as mine, so there is no need to worry about anything else."
The Bodhisattva sighed, and then slowly said: "I, the Buddha, have predicted that the Age of Ending Dharma is coming. I only hope that these outsiders can become a help to this world."
Unexpectedly, this great bodhisattva with a smooth mouth actually knew that Lin Biao and the others were not from this world!
"Telling these things to the Tenth Palace King of Hell now will only increase their troubles and will be of no use. It is better to do what you should do. Maybe you will be able to face it calmly when the time comes." The Bodhisattva said with a smile.
After listening to the silence, he turned around and walked back to the sutra desk, lying on the ground and gently closing his eyes.
The words of the Bodhisattva will always be his guideline for dog life.
"Amitabha." Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva looked up, his sight seemed to have passed through the layers of barriers in the underworld, and he saw the forest in Guanyin Yuan.
At this time in Guanyin Yuan, Lin Biao opened his eyes slightly and said softly: "The Great Sage is back."
After a while, Sun Wukong appeared in front of everyone, bowed to everyone in the team, and said with a smile: "Thank you for keeping my master safe."
Before everyone could be polite to him, Sun Wukong immediately asked: "Just now, I seemed to feel a very profound Buddhist power. I wonder which Bodhisattva came to this world?"
Everyone's attention turned to Lin Biao.
"Actually, it's a matter of personal responsibility. You don't have to be polite, Great Sage." Lin Biao said with a smile, which was regarded as his own admission.
"You?" Sun Wukong was a little unsure, looking up and down at Lin Biao with his eyes, which made people go crazy.
A monkey that has become a spirit is still a monkey after all. If it were an ordinary person, looking up and down like this would indeed be quite disrespectful. However, Lin Biao took it indifferently and did not even frown.
"The Point Guard Is Here"
"Are you playing tricks on my grandson?" Sun Wukong asked directly.
"You're such a bully, why are you talking to people like this?" Tang Seng on the side gave up.
He understood how far Lin Biao had practiced Buddhism. Not to mention anything else, just listening to Lin Biao reciting the "Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's Original Vow Sutra" on the top of the pagoda made him realize that the Dharma seemed to have improved a little more. It's amazing.
"Now your master is completely focused on practicing Buddhism with Lin Shuai. How powerful are you?" Wang Jianguo suddenly interrupted.
Sun Wukong was a little unbelievable, but he still kept silent and stopped asking any more questions.
After solving the problem of Guanyin Temple, everyone in the team and Tang Seng's master and disciple were in a good mood. However, although Tang Seng didn't say it, he was obviously a little bit upset about the fact that everyone in the team slaughtered all the monks in Guanyin Temple. Man, he understood the behavior of everyone in the team very well. Even when they went to the main hall to cause trouble, Tang Monk tacitly approved it. However, as a good monk who has practiced for ten generations, this kind of thing is not something he can accept with peace of mind in a day or two.
But as the Bodhisattva said, we always have to keep moving forward on the westward journey, and there is not much time to mourn the spring and autumn, so on the third day, they continued on the westward journey.
The reason why he did not leave the next day was that he had not had much rest in the past two days and Tang Seng needed to sleep well to replenish his energy. Secondly, although Lin Biao had clearly informed the other party that he had liberated the evil spirits from Guanyin Yuan, Tang Seng still felt uncomfortable. Don’t worry, you have to recite the Diamond Sutra for one more day before you can go on the road with peace of mind.
In short, early in the morning on the third day, the group slowly headed west again, but they didn't know what kind of difficulties and hardships were waiting for them this time.
This is true for Tang Seng and his disciples as well as for everyone in the team.
