Zhenxin Town Back Mountain is an unknown mountain range located in the south of Zhenxin Town. It is far away from the bustling urban area and sparsely populated. Only residents of Zhenxin Town occasionally set foot here. The southern boundary of the mountain range is a beach, adjacent to the sea.

For children in Zhenxin Town, the back mountain jungle is a natural playground. Dr. Oak sometimes observes the ecology of wild Pokémon in the back mountains.

There are many Pokémon in the back mountain, and most of them are gentle and don't like to fight. Rhinoceros, which lives in the deepest cave in the rocky mountain area, is the strongest person in the back mountain. Its powerful fighting power makes all Pokémon in the back mountain retreat. Now it has been conquered by an unknown trainer.

Hidden deep in the rolling mountains is an ancient and dangerous ruin, which is said to be related to a certain Pokémon known as the "Poseidon".
