Phew...it's not easy. I have finally finished writing the first volume of "Fire Territory Chapter", although the word count is much higher than expected. It takes a full 750,000 words to end One Kingdom.
Personally, I am moderately satisfied with this volume. It meets my most basic requirements.
That is to say, all the holes dug can be filled in, everything that needs to be explained clearly, and the story line of each character is basically completed.
In the original conception, the Yanyu chapter was divided into two parts: upper and lower parts.
The first part talks about the encounter between Vivian and Xiao Hei, then to the player beta, then to Shirley, and finally ends with the descent into the abyss, Vivian vs Shirley, and the appearance of Vulcan.
Then the second half tells the story in Fire Code City, the treasure thief group, Earl Thistle, and Liz and Alina.
After self-reflection, the reason why this volume is too long is that the author wanted to write about too many characters, but couldn't grasp the balance well. He couldn't make it short and concise, so he had to rely on the number of words to fill it.
For example, in addition to the protagonists Vivian and Liao Zixuan, the secondary characters include Shirley, Liz, and Alina.
The three corresponding lines are the Fallen Abyss, the Blood Tribe, and the Winter Witch organization.
And then again the secondary characters, Damir, Chris.
It tells the story of a silly boy who only cares about magic and does not care about worldly affairs, to a mature young man who can shoulder the heavy responsibility of the Flame Territory and inherit the Archbishop of the Vulcan Cult.
The other one is about a street gangster who changed his mind, recognized the darkness of the underground forces, resisted bravely, and embarked on another path of a behind-the-scenes hero.
Shirley and Liz were under the influence of Liao Zixuan.
Damir, Chris, and Alina are under Vivian's influence.
There are also players and worldviews to be interspersed in the middle... Hey, thinking about it, I can write so many things together, which is quite worthy of applause.
Regarding my personal expectations for the next volume of "Thousand Islands", the first point is to reduce the number of characters, streamline the story, and end with 300,000-400,000 words of inspiration.
Moreover, the author of this article will focus more on the protagonist, and will introduce and reveal the foreshadowing that has been laid in the later part of the first volume, which can be regarded as the main thread that will run through the whole book.
At the same time, we should also learn from the problem that the foreshadowing chapters for changing maps were too dry when transitioning from the top to the bottom of the Flame Domain.
The author is going to do a whole lot of work as soon as the "Thousand Islands Chapter" starts!
Just like the current author level of "White Crit" has been upgraded from lv1 to lv2, I will try my best to show the author's progress in "Thousand Islands"!
