In the Buddhist system, the future Buddha Maitreya is an extremely special existence.
In the Buddhist three-generation Buddha system, there are three Buddhas in the past, present and future.
In a sense, among Buddhists, only the three Buddhas of the past, present and future are the real Buddhas.
Among the three Buddhas, the Buddha of the past and the Buddha of Burning Deng represent the original path of Buddhism.
Now the Buddha Sakyamuni carries the current glory of Buddhism.
The status of these two Buddhists in Buddhism can be said to be supreme - only below the Supreme Saint.
Therefore, when the Deng Deng Buddha was in charge, Sakyamuni did not appear.
And when Sakyamuni returned to Buddhism, the lamp-burning Buddha died.
But among the three Buddhas, the status of the Future Buddha is extremely embarrassing.
He is known as the future Buddha and is supreme, but his position in Buddhism is just that of a venerable one - not even a Bodhisattva.
In Buddhism, which attaches great importance to personality, this is really unreasonable.
And, the future Buddha?
What is the future?
What has not come yet is the future.
What transcends the present is the future - but among the creatures in the world, only those with great supernatural powers live in the present and stand in the present.
The so-called future is called the future, but in fact, it will never come.
Therefore, in more cases, the Lord Maitreya, who is known as the future Buddha, is regarded as an abandoned son of Buddhism to attract attention.
But at this time, what did Lin Jiu see?
This future Buddha, who once fell in Thorn Ridge and whose true spirit was still bound by the list of gods, reappeared in front of him in the time and space divided by the Buddhist saints.
Moreover, his cultivation is, as Buddhism says, the inheritance of the past, present and future, perfectly inheriting the power of Buddhism.
The future that can never be reached comes into the present in this way.
"Amitabha." Lord Maitreya - or Lord Maitreya sang the name of the Buddha loudly.
Incomparably huge magic power moved with it, attracting the Buddha's light throughout Mount Sumeru to follow it.
An unparalleled sense of crisis sounded in Lin Jiu's heart.
That is, the great supernatural being!
"Maitreya?" Lin Jiu asked, his consciousness falling into the list of gods he controlled.
And in the list of gods, the true spirit of Lord Maitreya is still sleeping there.
But at this time, before his eyes, another Maitreya was truly manifested, and he was a great supernatural power who had achieved Taiyi and understood Taiyi's killing move!
So, who is the real Maitreya?
Lin Jiu felt the energy of the Maitreya Buddha in front of him.
That is a complete and real Qi machine.
There is even a little aura in that energy that interacts with the true spirit of Lord Maitreya in the list of gods.
All this clearly told Lin Jiu that the Maitreya Buddha in front of him was the original Maitreya Buddha.
"Didn't you already die in Thorn Ridge?"
"Yes, this Buddha died in the Thorny Ridge." Opposite Lin Jiu, Maitreya Buddha spoke as if he were facing an old friend, without any hostility in his words, "It is said that there is a big difference between life and death. Fear—but this Buddha has really experienced this great fear personally.”
“I have to say, this is truly an unprecedented opportunity.”
"Speaking of which, I should thank His Majesty the Demon Emperor for the opportunity."
"This is your chance to become enlightened."
"After much thought, I finally feel that only by repaying him with the same situation and returning the same opportunity to His Majesty the Demon Emperor can this whole period of cause and effect be resolved."
As he spoke, Maitreya Buddha raised his palms.
Buddhism is in danger of being cut off, and he is the future Buddha - everyone thinks that he is a chess piece and target set up by Buddhist saints, but only he knows that this is not the case.
Buddhism is in danger of being cut off. In the imagination of the two Buddhist saints, if one day the Buddhist lineage is really cut off, then he, Maitreya, will be the one to reshape the Buddhist lineage after it is cut off.
The future of Buddhism rests on his shoulders.
Therefore, he is the future Buddha of Buddhism.
And similarly, when he wakes up as the future Buddha, it means that Buddhism has already encountered the disaster of severance of the Taoism.
Look at Lin Jiu who has now stepped into Mount Sumeru.
Maitreya Buddha instinctively thought of a possibility that should never occur - a war broke out between the demon clan and Buddhism.
In this war, Buddhism was defeated on all fronts for some reason, so much so that the demon emperor Lin Jiu of the demon clan personally committed suicide on Mount Sumeru, the highest holy land of Buddhism.
But, where is Sakyamuni?
Lord Maitreya was very aware of Sakyamuni's strength. It was really hard for him to imagine how the Buddhist sect with Sakyamuni personally in charge could be breached.
Why do people from the demon tribe go to Mount Sumeru to kill them?
But when he looked again, Lin Jiu was the only one in front of him, and he suddenly felt relieved.
Among the demon clan, apart from Lin Jiu, there are more ancient demon saints - with the power of those ancient demon saints of the demon clan, it is not impossible to defeat Sakyamuni.
He felt the power of the present lingering within him.
The future turns into the present, and the power of the future and the power of the present are perfectly integrated in the body of Lord Maitreya.
That is the power of two great supernatural beings.
With such power, Venerable Maitreya is confident of victory when faced with any existence beneath the supreme saint in heaven and earth.
However, under such power, he always has an illusion.
The power that belongs to the present flowing through him always has an ethereal feeling.
"That's all, it's useless to think too much." Maitreya Buddha shook his head.
He was the pioneer in reviving the Buddhist tradition after it was cut off.
Likewise, he was also the last defender of Buddhism before it was cut off.
Regardless of his identity, at present, only one of him and the Demon Emperor in front of him can leave this place alive.
And this person will definitely be him.
So while thinking, Maitreya Buddha's palm pressed down on Lin Jiu.
At this moment, he became the center of Mount Sumeru and the very essence of Mount Sumeru.
When the palm was covered, in Lin Jiu's perception, what was covered was no longer a palm, nor the Buddhist Kingdom in the Palm, but the huge Mount Sumeru.
Under this power, Lin Jiu's existence suddenly became extremely insignificant.

According to Buddhist scriptures, Mount Sumeru is the center of heaven and earth, suppressing the stability of the entire world.
At this time, Mount Sumeru, which had the power to suppress the entire world, dropped its power on Lin Jiu, trying to suppress Lin Jiu as if the world were one.
Under the power of Mount Sumeru, Lin Jiu seemed to really transform into a world that could hold all living things.
