When Jiang Shuo woke up again, he found that he was lying flat under a giant fungus. There seemed to be some hay under him, which was very soft and warm. He was covered with the brown clothes of Monk Hu. Monk Hu himself and the Hexagonal Dragon were missing.
In front of Jiang Shuo was a small river formed by melted glacier water, flowing to the right. He turned his eyes and looked to the right, only to find that the terrain on the right was slightly lower and formed a swamp. As far as he could see, there were towering giant umbrella-shaped fungi. , and the place where he is lying now is already at the edge of the giant fungus forest. The terrain is slightly higher and no longer humid.
Looking to the left, the terrain gradually rises and the ground is filled with sand and gravel. As far as the eye can see, there are several yak carcasses scattered on the ground. This place does not see sunlight all day long, and it is as cold as an ice cellar all year round. The yak carcasses did not rot, but turned into mummies.
It seems that what Monk Hu said about yaks often falling here is true, and he was just lucky enough to land on the giant fungus forest in the low-lying part of the canyon. If he had gone a little further and landed on the gravel ground, he would have fallen. There is no life or death.
Jiang Shuo suddenly realized that when he looked around, he was not just moving his eyes, but his head was also moving, so he could see such a wide field. When he realized this, he immediately felt a twinge of pain at the junction of his cervical and thoracic vertebrae, and then the pain spread along his spine, from his neck to his tailbone.
Jiang Shuo couldn't help shouting "ah".
He immediately heard the sound of "Woo Parupa", which seemed to be in response to his shout. Then he saw the monk Hu turning around from behind a yak carcass. Seeing that he was awake, he was very happy and said: " It’s been three days and you finally woke up.”
Jiang Shuo was shocked. He didn't expect that he had been in a coma for three days. When he thought about the three days, his stomach immediately began to growl.
Monk Hu laughed loudly and said: "Yes, yes, you must be hungry if you haven't touched the rice for three days. Come on, come on. It's just baked. You can try it."
Only then did Jiang Shuo realize that Monk Hu was holding a long branch with a piece of roasted beef stuck on the branch. As he approached, the aroma of beef filled his nostrils.
Jiang Shuo looked at the yak mummies in horror, and saw white smoke coming from behind the yak carcass that Monk Hu had just turned around. He thought he was grilling meat behind the yak carcass.
Seeing Jiang Shuo's frightened expression, Monk Hu laughed and said, "Don't worry, kid, this cow just fell down a few days ago, and the meat is still very fresh. It's cold here, and yak meat won't rot after being stored for more than a month." bad."
As he spoke, he put the meat in front of Jiang Shuo's mouth. Jiang Shuo just wanted to say thank you and take the beef with both hands, but suddenly realized that he still couldn't lift his hand. Seeing that his shoulders were shaking, Hu Monk tried hard to lift his hand. He said hurriedly: "There's no rush, there's no rush, your spine has just been reconnected, and it's still too early to recover as before."
Jiang Shuo couldn't help but said in despair: "Great monk, can I still recover?"
As he spoke, he suddenly felt his right foot sinking. It turned out that the hexagonal dragon had climbed onto Jiang Shuo's feet. Jiang Shuo saw that the red spots on its body had receded, but the tail behind it had disappeared. He remembered that before he fell into coma, he heard the "Wei Lai" cry from Monk Hu. It turned out that Monk Hu had taken the tail of the Hexagonal Dragon to heal himself. He asked apologetically: "The tail of the Hexagonal Dragon..."
Monk Hu said: "Yes, I cut it off to heal your injuries, but you don't have to worry, its tail will grow back within a month..."
As he was talking, Monk Hu suddenly stood up, raised his leg and kicked Jiang Shuo on the patella of his right knee. Jiang Shuo was kicked by Monk Hu and unconsciously raised the toes of his right foot upwards, hitting the Hexagonal Dragon lying on his feet. Unprepared, he let out a strange scream and was kicked somersaulting over, falling to the ground.
Jiang Shuo said angrily: "Crazy monk, what are you doing?"
Monk Hu smiled and said, "Didn't you ask me if I can recover? You can see for yourself?"
Only then did Jiang Shuo realize that the feeling in his feet had returned. Just now, he could feel the pain spreading throughout his body. At this moment, his toes would be kicked out again due to stimulation. This showed that not only the broken spine had been connected, but his The meridians are also connected.
Jiang Shuo was very happy and praised: "The great monk is really amazing."
Monk Hu laughed and said, "Actually, I have never treated a patient like you. Not to mention it's a surprise to you, it's also a surprise to me."
As he spoke, he laughed again, and the hexagonal dragon had rough skin and thick flesh. It didn't hold any grudges even if it fell. It laughed like a monk, and laughed like a "quack". Its head was blunt and round, and it had a huge face. The mouth is split to the left and right on the head, and it seems to be smiling all the time. The six "horns" with pink fluff on the back of the head are constantly shaking, adding to the joy.
Monk Hu put the beef in front of Jiang Shuo's mouth again and said, "Here... eat it. You will recover faster when you are full."
Jiang Shuo nodded in agreement and was not polite. He opened his mouth and took a big bite. The yak meat was not as fat and tender as the Central Plains beef, but it was quite chewy and became very fragrant after repeated chewing. Jiang Shuo was also really hungry. He ate all the beef on the branches like a whirlwind and almost chewed off the bark on the branches.
Monk Hu smiled and said: "Don't be anxious, don't be anxious, if there are any more, I will go and get them."
As he said that, he stood up and jumped up and down to get the beef. He was not a crazy monk, but he was simple by nature and never knew how to hide it. Now that Jiang Shuo had woken up and had an appetite again, he was even happier than Jiang Shuo and started walking. It's hard to hide my excitement.
When Monk Hu came back, he took three sticks of beef and said to Jiang Shuo, "Look, there's plenty, go ahead and eat it."
When he fed Jiang Shuo his second piece of beef, the Hexagonal Dragon came up to him again. Monk Hu laughed and cursed, tore off a piece of beef and threw it to the Hexagonal Dragon. The Hexagonal Dragon jumped up in the air like a puppy and caught it. I had beef and ate it.
Just like this, Jiang Shuo ate one bite, the Hexagonal Dragon ate one, and in a moment he ate two more, leaving only the last one. When Monk Hu wanted to feed Jiang Shuo, Jiang Shuo hurriedly said: "Master, I'm full." , I really can’t eat anymore.”
Monk Hu was squatting on the ground and feeding Jiang Shuo some meat. Hearing him say he was full, he stood up with a smile and sat on a stone nearby. Jiang Shuo suddenly realized a problem and said to Monk Hu, "Master, grill the meat for me. Aren't you afraid of breaking the rules?"
Monk Hu smiled and said, "Which one was baked especially for you?"
As he spoke, he brought the yak meat skewered on a branch to his mouth, took a big bite, and started chewing.
Jiang Shuo was shocked when he saw it and said, "So you are not a monk."
Monk Hu was so surprised that he looked up and down on his body. Finally, he touched his shaved forehead and said, "Why, why don't I look like a monk?"
Jiang Shuo asked: "How can a monk eat meat?"
Hearing this, Monk Hu laughed again and said, "Bhikkhus and monks can't eat meat? The Buddha still eats meat!"
Jiang Shuo wondered: "How could such a thing happen?"
Monk Hu said: "Before the Buddha attained enlightenment, he wanted to seek liberation through asceticism. As a result, he was half-dead from hunger but made no progress. That day, he was leaning on a Bibala tree and was about to starve to death. A shepherdess passing by After giving him a bowl of milk to drink, he suddenly became enlightened and said, "How wonderful! How wonderful! How wonderful! All sentient beings have the wisdom and virtue of the Tathagata, but they cannot achieve it because of their delusional thoughts and persistence. If they are free from delusional thoughts, Then there is no teacher wisdom, natural wisdom, and all manifestations.”
Buddhism spreads widely in the Han Dynasty. Jiang Shuo has naturally heard this story, but he didn't know that the Buddha drank a bowl of chyme. Isn’t eating just a delusion and obsession? The Tibetan people’s diet is mostly meat and less vegetarian. When a monk goes to beg for alms, he encounters a host who only has meat food, and he has to pick and choose, so he has to ask the donor to prepare a vegetarian meal?"
Jiang Shuo seemed to understand after hearing this, then Monk Hu continued: "I eat yak meat, not because I want to eat it, but because it has fallen to death. I have not lost anything by eating its meat. On the contrary, I have lost the need to become a vegetarian." Isn’t persistence the great road?”
Jiang Shuo seemed to understand, and said with a smile: "Master, your words are very similar to those of my Central Plains Zen sect."
Monk Hu rolled his eyes and said, "I am a Zen monk."
Jiang Shuo was shocked: "Ah... I didn't know there were still Hu disciples in Shaolin Temple."
Monk Hu shook his head and said: "Hey...boy, what you said is wrong. Let me ask you who was the first ancestor of Zen Buddhism?"
Jiang Shuo said: "Of course it's Patriarch Bodhidharma, oh... yes, Patriarch Bodhidharma is a barbarian..."
Monk Hu shook his head and said: "Dharma is the first ancestor of Zen in the Central Plains, but the 28th ancestor in Tianzhu."
Only then did Jiang Shuo realize that the Tianzhu Zen Sect had been passed down for so many generations. Monk Hu continued: "My inheritance comes from Venerable Prajna Dora, the twenty-seventh generation founder of the Tianzhu Zen Sect, but it is not from the Central Plains Shaolin lineage."
Jiang Shuo said: "I see. No wonder, great monk, your internal strength is very similar to that of Shaolin Temple, but it is not exactly the same."
Monk Hu was surprised and said: "Hey, you kid also knows martial arts? Since you know martial arts, how come you were stabbed by someone and fell from a glacier crevice? You must have been poor at it and ended up like this."
Jiang Shuo did not refute, and said: "Yes, yes, I am indeed not good at studying. I was stabbed by someone first, and then injured my back by a sneak attack. Xiang'er took me to escape, and passed by here. I fell down after hitting the ice cap."
Monk Hu said: "Slow down, slow down...who is Xiang'er?"
Jiang Shuo said: "It's me..." He suddenly couldn't find a suitable title for Dugu Xiang, and after a pause he said: "...It's my sister..."
Seeing that his face turned red, Monk Hu smiled and said, "I understand, I understand. Even though I am a Samana, I understand this one too."
Jiang Shuo was even more embarrassed when he heard this. Fortunately, Monk Hu changed the subject and asked, "Boy, what's your name?"
Monk Hu can be said to be Jiang Shuo's benefactor. He did not dare to lie and told the truth: "My surname is Jiang Shuo and my surname is Su Zhi."
Monk Hu also simply said: "I've never heard of it."
Thinking about it, he has been collecting herbs in the Qilian Mountains and has no contact with the martial arts in the Central Plains. It is not surprising that he does not know Jiang Shuo.
Jiang Shuo asked, "I haven't asked the great monk for his Dharma name yet."
Monk Hu said: "I don't work as hard as you Han people. I have a lot of names, and only one name is Mahayan. You don't need to call me Great Monk, just call me Mahayan."
Of course, Jiang Shuo had never heard of his name. He was thin-skinned, unlike Lao Jianghu. Even if he heard the name of the other party for the first time, he still said "I have admired him for a long time". He didn't know what to say for a while, but he immediately Thinking of an important question, I asked Mahayan: "Great monk..."
Mahayan interrupted: "It's called Mahayan..."
Jiang Shuo said: "Yes... Mahayan, besides me, can you see others falling off the cliff?"
Some people died, but not completely...
