Wu Daozi ordered a servant to go to Tiangong Temple to report the news in advance. He did not invite anyone into the house. He mounted the horse brought by the servant and led Jiang Shuo, Li Zhuer, Pei Min, Zhang Xu and all his disciples and servants to the palace. Let’s go to Tiangong Temple.
Tiangong Temple is located in Shangshanfang, the northeast corner of Tianjie Street, close to Luoshui Tianjin Bridge. Jiang Shuo and Li Zhuer walked back with Wu Daozi and his entourage. Zhang Xu asked Wu Daozi, "When did you move to Xiu Shanfang? There are all barbarian traders there. It's noisy. What's the point of living there?"
Wu Daozi said: "Master Zhang, you don't know something. I have recently devoted myself to studying the Jingbian painting method. Although gods are instantly created with a wave of my hand, demons are not scary. However, the image of Abi in Jingbian becomes more and more sinister the more deformed it becomes." I found out that all the foreigners have deep eyes and high noses, and they look three-quarters like humans and seven-parts like ghosts, just like the evil ghosts in hell. So I moved to Xiuxianfang in order to observe and trace the appearance of foreigners every day. It’s like hell.”
Zhang Xu touched his palm and said: "Not bad, not bad, thank you for coming up with such a good idea."
Li Zhuer was very displeased when she heard this. She was a Khitan and could be considered a barbarian. She was quite unhappy when Wu Daozi said that barbarians were ugly.
Jiang Shuo came closer and said to her: "Sister Zhu'er, you don't have to be angry. All Daozi saw were ugly people among the barbarians, but you were born extremely beautiful."
Every woman in the world likes to be complimented on her beauty. Li Zhuer felt happy when she heard that, but her face remained calm and she said coldly: "Who wants you to trim your beard?"
A group of people walked in front, but the people who had been watching before followed behind. Pei Min was dancing with a sword and Wu Daozi was painting. How could it be common to see them? In an instant, word spread throughout Luoyang City, and the crowd behind the group gathered more and more. Wu Daozi, Pei Min, and Zhang Xu have been famous for thirty years. They have long been accustomed to the feeling of being surrounded by stars. Gu Zema rushed ahead.
From Xiushanfang to Shangshanfang, you walked along a wide street. It didn't take long for everyone to arrive at Tiangong Temple on horseback. The abbot of Tiangong Temple heard that Pei Min was coming to dance sword dancing and Wu Daozi was coming to paint. He was so happy that he came from heaven and had already brought the people in the temple with him. A group of monks were waiting at the temple gate.
When everyone entered, Wu Daozi asked: "Which wall do you want to paint?"
The host said: "The east hall is the most magnificent, with newly painted walls. Please give me Master Wu's wonderful painting."
Arriving in the East Hall, Wu Daozi took a look and said, "The master in charge is really good at calculating. This wall is five couplets wide."
The host just rubbed his hands, but Wu Daozi said: "Get your pen and ink ready, and first ask General Pei to dance his sword in front of the hall. Let me see if General Pei, who is famous all over the world, is worthy of this five-couplet mural."
Pei Min said, "It's easy to talk!" After saying that, he took off his grown-up clothes and only wore a tight-fitting shorts. The temple master presented the vegetarian wine brewed in the temple. Pei Min took it and drank three cups. Jiang Shuo presented the seven-star sword. , said: "This originally belonged to General Pei, and now it returns to its original owner."
Pei Min said: "Okay, the sword dance with the seven-star sword is the most wonderful." He walked to the center of the temple with the sword and started dancing.
At this moment, thousands of people had poured into the temple, and the surrounding courtyard was crowded with people. There were monks in the temple who could play pipa and drums. When they saw Pei Min standing still in the courtyard, they started playing together, and what they played was "The King of Qin Po Po" "Array Music", King of Qin's Breaking the Formation Music was composed by Emperor Taizong Wen of the Qin Dynasty when he defeated the rebel Liu Wuzhou, and his soldiers filled in old tunes with new lyrics. After Taizong ascended the throne, he added the Qiuci tone to the original tune and re-edited it. It was processed into a magnificent large-scale music and dance, which was both high-pitched and exciting, yet still melodious. Although there are not many musical monks in the temple, they can still play various aspects of "breaking formation music" with pipa and drums alone.
Pei Min closed his eyes and listened on the field. After the overture, Pei Min suddenly opened his eyes, but did not draw out the sword. He only held the sheath and raised it. Hearing a clang, the seven-star sword was unsheathed and flew several feet high.
Jiang Shuo had just seen Aunt Gongsun's disciples dance the "General Pei's Full House" dance at Yunshao Academy yesterday. Today he watched Pei Min dance the sword. The scene was completely different when he first raised his hand. The Seven-Star Sword was moving very quickly. It flew much higher than the two female disciples, and the sword made a "wuwu" sound in the air, like the cry of a god or a ghost. The Seven-Star Sword is named after the seven copper nails inlaid on the sword. At this moment, it is spinning and falling. The copper nails on the sword body are connected to form seven golden rings, creating a brilliant brilliance.
Seeing the long sword fall, Pei Min jumped up, grabbed the hilt of the sword in the air, and spun sideways in the air. All the spectators seemed to be blown by the sword's energy. They all felt a chill on their faces and took a step back unconsciously. After landing, Pei Min held the sword in one hand and the sheath in the other. He walked around the courtyard like a galloping horse, turning left and right, drawing countless positive and negative arcs of light. Only then did Jiang Shuo understand why the Seven-Star Sword was also called "Meteor". At this moment The sword danced extremely fast, and the copper stars swayed and formed a line. What he saw in his eyes were no longer arcs, but seven arcs of light with long tails. Although it was a sunny day, it felt like seven stars were in the sky.
Look at Pei Min's moves and the music very well. He beats eight notes and moves in eight directions, changing with the change of the tune. When the melody is long and long, he flies like a dragon. His right sword and left scabbard are like two dragons chasing each other, and his hoe should hover and fly; When the drum beats excitedly, it leaps like a tiger and roars like a tiger. When the music is loud and clear, the mausoleum is clear and floating, looking thousands of miles away; when the music is high-pitched, if the wind and clouds are surging, thunder and lightning are in full swing. Compared with the two sisters in Jiaofang yesterday, they are more powerful but not less elegant.
The people of Luoyang watched the excitement and kept applauding and cheering, but Jiang Shuo looked at the doorway and saw that although Pei Min's sword dance had many changes, the moves he used were all for killing enemies and breaking formations, and they were definitely not like Jiaofang's dance. It's just a dance of its own form, but you can see that the sword energy is integrated with the outside, and the sword intention is inside it. It looks left and right, the blade moves with the finger, the sword blade dances like the brightness and extinguishing of seven stars, and the electric light penetrates the rope and loops. It is really a rigorous attack and defense. You can see both the beauty of masculinity and the subtlety of sword moves.
Unconsciously, I saw that the music had reached the end of Shagun. This was the last rendition of the great song. The group of monks sang in praise: "Accepting the law and saying that the head of state, the prime minister will punish the rebel ministers. Xiange breaks the formation and music, and enjoys the people of peace together." Following the singing, Pei Min jumped up and down. You Jie; in an instant, he flew seven times in a row, and the sword in his hand was thrown three times. At the end of the song, Pei Min raised his hand, and the seven-star sword flew high, flying dozens of feet high, and penetrated into the clouds. When the sword fell, But it no longer rolled, but the sword tip fell straight down, like lightning shooting down, like thunder and dragon roar, Pei Min held the scabbard in one hand, the long sword penetrated the room, and closed the scabbard suddenly.
As the light of the sword was sheathed, the sky seemed to darken a little. Thousands of spectators were all shocked and stayed for a moment. Then, waves of applause and thunderous sounds followed one after another, and even Jiang Shuo shouted. Take a breath.
Although the Shenshu Sword learned by Jiang Shuo is wonderful, after all, the figures carved on the golden wall are just simple human figures, which cannot fully capture its beauty. Zhao Rui is not an expert in using swords. Although the principles of kung fu are similar, after all, he is not as good at the external skills of swordsmanship. It's still a little short of that, so although the swordsmanship Jiang Shuo has learned is wonderful, it's still not top-notch at this moment. In terms of external skills alone, Pei Min's swordsmanship is the best in the world. Jiang Shuo watched Pei Min dance today and immediately understood many Shenshu sword moves that he had never understood before. The obscure sword skills were as clear as a picture. It was revealed in front of him that his swordsmanship had really improved a lot.
Zhang Xu said to Li Zhu'er: "Miss Zhu'er, you are right. Aunt Gongsun's sword dance is indeed derived from General Pei. Although Auntie's music and figure are better, General Pei's majestic spirit is Unparalleled in the world.”
At this time, everyone's applause had gradually stopped, but Wu Daozi stood blankly under the eaves of the East Hall, his face uncertain, and he didn't know what he meant. Pei Min waited for a while, and when he saw that he still didn't respond, he stepped forward and crossed his hands. Said: "Master Wu, what do you think of Min's sword dance?"
Wu Daozi just woke up from a dream, picked up the wine jar, took two gulps, and shouted: "Bring me my pen and ink!"
The temple had already prepared pens and inks, but Wu Daozi's accompanying disciples removed them all and replaced them with Wu Daozi's special pens and inks. At this time, a disciple had already studied the ink, licked the pens, and placed them on the desk in the east hall. .
Wu Daozi immediately grabbed his pen and drew it on the wall, but he saw that he was writing very quickly, leaving dots on the painting, and the wind blew. After a while, he painted a number of gods and ghosts, which were out of the ordinary. Especially when drawing the sleeves of the characters, he moved the pen very long. They are like orchid leaves, as short as water shields, and vary in thickness. The pleats traced by this method actually have a faint tendency to flutter, as if all the ghosts and gods have come to life.
Zhang Xu praised: "Wu Dai is in charge of the wind, this is what it means..."
Wu Daozi held a cup in his left hand and a pen in his right hand. He drank while painting, and swung his pen like a whirlwind. Soon, the five-couplet-wide wall was covered with figures. It turned out to be a "Hell in Disguise", Hell. It is a common theme of sutras on temple walls. They usually depict horrific images of various punishments in hell. However, Wu Daozi did not focus on gloomy images such as "forest of knives" and "boiling wok". It depicts the frightened facial expressions of those going to hell. The faces of the sinners are distorted and ferocious, so they are not human-like, so it is called hell in disguise.
Wu Daozi did not paint ghosts but people. However, the strange transformations of people who went to hell are actually more terrifying than ghosts. The viewers who poured into the hall felt the hair on their armpits stand up and shuddered.
In fact, most of these distorted faces were seen by Wu Daozi from when the merchants were quarreling and fighting in Nanshi and Xiushanfang. He had sketched various images in his house no less than a thousand times, but the organization of the pictures was never right. Although each character is strange when viewed individually, there is nothing gloomy and terrifying about the whole painting. I have been thinking hard at home for the past few days but I can't find a solution. Therefore, when Pei Min came to ask for a painting, he didn't even see him. Today, Japan did not plan to draw this disguised picture of hell, but when he watched Pei Min dance his sword, he suddenly enlightened and realized the method of succession and transition in the picture. A strange image of hell became extremely clear in his mind. He was afraid that he would forget, so he wrote quickly, not paying attention to details and not sticking to images, but instead he created a masterpiece.
The whole painting is full of anger, even though it is just a line drawing, it actually makes those who look at this painting feel fear in their hearts and start to reflect on the sins they have done.
Wu Daozi threw his pen on the ground, laughed heartily and said, "Daozi was very proud of his painting all his life, and it's not for this reason!" He then said to the two disciples who came with him: "Zhai Yan, Zhang Zang, you two are painting for this." It only took Wu Daozi more than an hour to complete the line drawings of the huge mural. He felt satisfied and had nothing to ask for. As for the trivial matters such as cloth and color, he left it to his disciples.
