"...That old pervert from Slytherin actually made up this pure-blood nonsense. God, I'm so lucky. If I had been sorted into his house, I would have bought a train ticket home that night..."

Ron said indignantly as the three of them walked through the crowded corridor.

Hermione followed them, nodded eagerly, and said:

"We have to hurry up. I have to go to Professor Custer's office later. I have some questions..."

"Hermione, the biggest problem now should be the monster in the Chamber of Secrets and the descendant of Slytherin..."

Harry was a little depressed, and on the way he met Colin Creevey, a Muggle-born Gryffindor first-year student who loved photography and was a fan of Harry.

He only said hello to Harry hurriedly and said vaguely: "Harry, they say you are..."

Before he could finish his words, Colin was squeezed away by the crowd, but Harry knew what he wanted to say——

Descendants of Slytherin.

He didn't tell Hermione and Ron that the Sorting Hat actually planned to sort him into Slytherin, where it said Harry would achieve better results.

However, Harry himself felt that Slytherin was a place for cultivating dark wizards, so he naturally rejected it, so he was assigned to Gryffindor.

So, could this be a mistake on the part of the Sorting Hat?

Should he belong to Slytherin, or even be the descendant of Slytherin?

"What did he just say?"

Ron asked curiously.

"That I am the descendant of Slytherin."

"People nowadays spread everything nonsense." Ron muttered: "Don't listen to them. Do you remember what Professor Custer said? Oriental proverb...what is it called?"

“Rumours stop with those who have wisdom.”

Hermione added duly.

They turned up the stairs and soon came to the place where Mrs. Norris was attacked.

The scarlet letter has not been removed, Filch spent a lot of effort, but it still remains there stubbornly.

There was a chair standing in the corridor, and Filch stood there suspiciously all day long. After Mrs. Norris's accident, Filch became even more paranoid and would often punish students for trivial matters.

Harry lay on the ground, trying to find some clues, but all he saw was a burnt mark.

Ron turned pale with fear when he saw the spiders escaping from the silk thread next to the word "blood".

"What’s wrong with you?"

Hermione asked curiously.

Ron talked about his fear of spiders: he was very afraid of living spiders because when he was a child, the toy bear he held was turned into a scary spider by George.

This made Hermione and Harry laugh out loud.

Hermione walked to the door of the bathroom: "Moaning Myrtle is in there. Can we ask her what she saw?"

"But this is the girls' bathroom." Ron said uneasily.

"Don't be afraid, this is abandoned." Hermione pointed to the sign at the door and walked in first.

They were unable to get any clues from Moaning Myrtle.

When he came out of the bathroom, he was caught red-handed by Percy. He angrily gave his brother five points - because he felt that this kind of behavior could not be called decent.

"Decent, decent, full of such damn thoughts, I'm his younger brother."

In the common room, Ron muttered dissatisfiedly:

"I made it so loud that everyone knew it...it was as if I was born to sneak into the girls' bathroom."

Harry was not very happy either. He felt that although it was a trivial matter, Percy did not care about his brother's reputation at all.

They were all working on the homework assigned by Aaron. Seeing Ron so depressed, Hermione agreed to show him "the application of borer powder in antidotes" for the first time.

This made Ron feel a little happier - sometimes, the homework assigned by Aaron was indeed more difficult.

They started talking about the Chamber of Secrets and the Heir of Slytherin.

"Who do you think that person will be?"

Hermione asked in a low voice.

"Who talks about the pride of pure blood every day?"

"Who is so disdainful of Muggle-borns in school?"

"Who comes from a long-established family and is most likely to master the secret of the secret room?"

After asking these three questions, I basically just wrote down Malfoy's ID number.

"So, how do we find the evidence?"

Harry asked.

"I have a way, but it is very dangerous and full of uncertainty. If we can achieve it, we will probably violate about fifty school rules..."

Hermione said hesitantly.

"Come on, do you plan to spend a month thinking about the pros and cons before telling us?" Ron said impatiently.

"We just need to - turn ourselves into someone familiar to Malfoy, then walk into Slattery's common room and ask him a few direct questions."

"How is this possible..." Harry had just finished speaking when his whole body suddenly jumped up. He and Ron looked at each other and said in unison:

"Polyjuice Potion!"

"Yes, what Professor Custer taught in class - Polyjuice Potion."

Hermione said in a very calm tone: "He mentioned some knowledge about it in class, but we need to find the complete recipe in a book called "Powerful Potion"."

"But Professor Custer said that book is in the restricted area."

Harry said regretfully.

Hermione shook her head: "This is not a problem. As long as it has the signature of a professor, we can find this book in the restricted book area."

"How could there be such a stupid professor? He would give you an autograph without asking questions..."

Ron was halfway through his words when he suddenly came back to his senses.

He and Harry looked at each other, and a figure quickly appeared in their minds...

Professor Lockhart...

However, before they could speak, Hermione said:

"Perhaps, I can go to Professor Custer and ask..."

"That's not realistic, Hermione."

Harry frowned. He felt that with Professor Custer's mind, he could see the trick even if he only thought with his cerebellum, right?

"Yeah, I think we should find someone dumber for this kind of thing..."

Ron said without hesitation.

Hermione glanced at Ron with some dissatisfaction - although she had realized that Lockhart was probably a parallel importer, Hermione still felt that she should not slander him so much - she subconsciously felt that he was still a professor after all.

She shook her head:

"This matter is not as difficult as you think. Among the extracurricular assignments assigned by Professor Custer, there is already research on polyjuice potion. It will not be too out of the blue for me to use this excuse to find him."

Harry and Ron looked at each other and saw the helplessness in each other's eyes.

The extracurricular homework assigned by Professor Castle is usually a very difficult problem in Potions. For Harry and Ron, this is something they simply don't think about.

"And if we can get Professor Custer's approval and help, this will be easy."

"No chance, Hermione."

Harry shook his head: "He is a professor, why would he help us do something that violates school rules..."

Ron said: "I think Hermione's words make sense. I heard from Percy that Professor Custer was also a person who often violated school rules back then. He might have a good impression of us..."

Hermione said firmly: "Anyway, let me try first. If it doesn't work, we can consider looking for Lockhart."
