Weishan Tongqing Temple was originally just an unknown mountain temple on the border of Tanzhou.

A year ago, this temple did not even have a formal title deed. It was an unknown temple that was not recognized by the government. The land would be reclaimed and the monks would be expelled at any time.

Except for the villagers at the foot of Weishan Mountain who have been receiving aid all year round, no one will know the existence of Tongqing Temple.

But since a year ago, the reputation of Tongqing Temple has gradually spread around Weishan and even throughout Tanzhou.

Some say that there is a reclusive eminent monk in Tongqing Temple, some say that praying for blessings in Tongqing Temple is effective, and some say that the monks in Tongqing Temple can subdue demons and demons...

The most important thing is that a considerable number of squires and nobles began to go to Tongqing Temple from time to time to burn incense and worship Buddha, attracting a large group of melon-eating people who did not know the truth to follow them up the mountain to pray.

So over time, Tongqing Temple became quite famous throughout Tanzhou.

However, if it is just like this, Tongqing Temple is only one of several well-known Buddhist temples in Tanzhou area, and it is far from being the only one in Tanzhou.

What really made Tongqing Temple famous was that monk Huiji of Tongqing Temple publicly stated that he would hold a "Sutra Debate Conference" and hoped to invite all Buddhist temples in Tanzhou to debate.

In this era when Buddhism is prevalent, Huiji's approach is tantamount to provoking other temples in Tanzhou.

The seriousness is almost like pointing at their noses and saying - you scum are not as good as me, I am the orthodox Buddhist.

As you can imagine, other Buddhist temples in Tanzhou came to visit one after another, but they all lost to Huiji in the debate.

Not only that, Huiji also refused to refuse any other monks passing by.

As long as they come to Tongqing Temple, Huiji is willing to accept the opponent's debate challenge. If she wins, she can go back with generous gifts. If she loses, she can stay overnight in Tongqing Temple.

This is simply a very favorable condition for the wandering monks.

Therefore, the debate activity in the main hall of Tongqing Temple has never stopped from the day it started.

Huiji, whose energy far exceeds that of ordinary people, welcomes all challengers. He has held one-on-one, one-on-ten, and even one-on-one hundred debate conferences.

In Huiji's own words, he practices Buddhism to save himself and save others.

Self-cultivation is like drinking water. Only you know whether it is hot or cold. There is nothing difficult about it.

But if you want to save people and make others agree with your point of view, you must convince them from all aspects.

And this requires extremely strong eloquence and quick-witted thinking.

An eminent monk who accepted the challenge once scoffed at this.

Because even the legendary Buddha, Sakyamuni, only had five hundred disciples, and only ten of them were able to obtain his essence.

It was easy for Huiji to win his opponent's argument, but to get his opponent to agree with his point of view sincerely was tantamount to wishful thinking.

In this regard, Huiji just said lightly that she had never thought of reaching heaven in one step, let alone saving all sentient beings like the Buddha.

As long as ten of the hundreds of people who agree with you agree with your views, you will be considered successful.

And among those who agree with their own views, if there is one person who is willing to spread this view, then he will be successful in his life.

Buddha Sakyamuni had 500 disciples in his lifetime, and he was able to spread Buddhism throughout the world.

And if I only need one-tenth of the amount, my life will be considered worthwhile.

After this debate, the eminent monk immediately fell into submission and became convinced, saying that he was willing to become one of the disciples who would spread Huiji's thoughts.

From this, Huiji's name of "Little Sakyamuni" also spread.

Everyone says that in today's Tongqing Temple in Weishan, there is a "little Sakyamuni" who made great vows and spread Buddhism like the Buddha.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………

On the mountain behind Tongqing Temple, under the torrent waterfall.

"If outsiders knew that the 'little custard apple' in their eyes has been either eating or sleeping recently, they would be disappointed."

Sitting cross-legged under the waterfall, Pei Wende looked at Hui Ji who looked lazy not far away and complained angrily.

"Also, it was obviously you who wanted to hold a 'Bible Debate Conference' in the first place, but now you are hiding here and refusing to see anyone."

Since Huiji's name as "Little Sakyamuni" has spread more and more widely, Tongqing Temple now has an endless stream of monks and pilgrims visiting him every day, just to see him.

Huiji was patient enough to maintain his rules and image at first, but as time went by, he became a little annoyed.

Because except for a few eminent monks who really wanted to debate scriptures with him, most of the wandering monks came here to eat and drink, and even the pilgrims looked like they were watching the fun and not taking it too seriously.

"Being able to eat and sleep is also a skill."

"Besides, I'm different from you. My practice has long been stuck in a bottleneck. Only by coming into contact with the truly profound Dharma can I make a breakthrough."

In fact, this is also the most helpless place for Huiji.

Pei Wende's mind is simple or his goal is clear, so his practice is smooth sailing and he rarely encounters any bottlenecks.

However, he had broken the precepts and started practicing again, and he was deeply immersed in worldly fame and fortune. He had to fulfill his long-cherished wish before he could make further progress.

"What does it mean to be able to eat and sleep? You might as well say that you are more capable of deceiving people!"

"I see you debating scriptures with those monks, and you deceive them so much every time. At first glance, you are a talent for MLM."

Not knowing what Hui Ji was thinking, Pei Wende, who had long been accustomed to the other party's state, continued to complain.

"MLM?"

After hearing Pei Wende's complaints, Hui Ji was a little curious about what "MLM" meant, but she still instinctively retorted.

"Being able to sleep is really not a big deal. Ordinary people know how to eat when they are hungry and sleep when they are sleepy."

"But they can't just eat when they eat, and sleep when they sleep."

“For most people, eating is more than just eating, and sleeping is more than just sleeping.”

"Just like you now, you are obviously practicing meditation, but your rhythm is disturbed by my presence."

Hearing this, Pei Wende rolled his eyes.

"Okay, okay, you have a point, but I can't tell you anything."

"I only know that if you don't go back, the old monk will definitely find out that you are lazy again. Then don't blame me for not saving you."

As soon as these words came out, even the thick-faced and dark-hearted Huiji couldn't help but be shocked.

"Pei Wende! You betrayed me!"

As if in response to Hui Ji's words, Zen Master Lingyou's suppressed angry voice suddenly came from the front yard of Tongqing Temple.

"Huiji!!!"
