Tongqing Temple, Sakyamuni Buddha sits down in the Main Hall.
Putting aside Pei Wende's random thoughts, Huiji was rarely punished to copy scriptures at this moment, but was quietly meditating in front of the Buddha with Zen Master Lingyou.
"Master, are you trying to trick my junior brother again?"
"'Mindless concentration' is not an introductory thing. Looking at the entire Zen sect, whoever dares to say that he has entered concentration with 'Wuxin' is not an eminent monk who has practiced for many years."
Although since entering the mountain, Huiji has teased her precocious junior brother from time to time.
But Hui Ji dared to vouch for his own character. He was definitely not as big as Zen Master Lingyou this time, and he actually taught the most profound "mindless meditation" to his apprentices as an entry-level skill.
"How can things between master and disciple be called a trap?"
Raising his brows slightly, Zen Master Lingyou righteously denied Hui Ji's statement.
"Or do you think that boy is a person who believes in Buddhism and worships Buddhism?"
"The practice of visualizing gods and Buddhas entering concentration and replacing the ordinary mind with the mind of the Buddha..."
"Even you have given up on this path. Do you think that Demon King who believes in gods and Buddhas even less than you will approve of this method of practice?"
"In the final analysis, I am trying to train his patience. Otherwise, if this guy succeeds in his cultivation, he will definitely be another 'good seedling' who gets into trouble."
Hearing this, Hui Ji's expression suddenly changed. Her original smile disappeared instantly and was replaced by a standard bitter melon face.
"Master...your word 'and' is a bit redundant."
After muttering softly, Huiji naturally knew that her master meant something else.
"Superfluous? I don't think it is superfluous at all."
Without even raising an eyelid, Zen Master Lingyou certainly did not interfere with his disciple's thoughts, but this did not mean that he would agree with the other party's approach.
"I won't be surprised if Tongqing Temple suddenly disappears one day."
"Because one of you must have caused a big disaster and brought disaster to our school."
Speaking of this, even Zen Master Lingyou, who had been "born" for many years, couldn't help but feel pain in his heart - none of the two disciples he had accepted seemed to be an economical lamp.
Needless to say, Pei Wende.
That was the demon king that he had raised since he was a child. Not only was his outlook on life completely different from that of ordinary people, he even had a sense of awe rather than faith in gods and Buddhas.
In Pei Wende's own words, practice is the only criterion for testing truth.
Even if the so-called gods and Buddhas really exist, they just grasp some more truths than ordinary people.
However, Pei Wende had many fantastic ideas in his mind, which could support and realize his statement bit by bit, and he resolutely put into practice the principle of "the son does not speak, the strange power confuses the gods".
The same is true for Hui Ji.
Simply relying on the Yingshen and the Nirvana Sutra that he left behind more than ten years ago, he was able to deny the resident gods and Buddhas in his heart and reshape his way of practice by breaking the precepts.
The most important thing is that I don’t know what kind of ecstasy soup Hui Ji poured into his own body. Not only did he agree to recruit disciples on his behalf, but he even revealed the location of his true body.
"Even if it's my counterpart, I'm afraid I don't know what you plan to do!"
The so-called "ying body" is the "incarnation", which is a certain form that Zen Master Lingyou manifested with the help of incense and fire vows. It is similar to the appearances and kalpa bodies of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
Unless they are truly destined, it is impossible for ordinary mortals to see the incarnations of those incense and wishes.
"My mentor naturally didn't know. After all, even I was still confused at that time."
Huiji, who clearly separates "Yingshen" and "Noumenon", did not deny what Zen Master Lingyou said.
In Huiji's view, "Yingshen" is just a certain idea and obsession left behind by the "original body", which was then recast by the people's incense and wishes.
Not to mention being influenced by the people's incense and desire all the year round, a person's thoughts and concepts more than ten years ago and more than ten years later are two completely different.
Therefore, "Ying Shen" can only be said to be Zen Master Lingyou when he first arrived in Tanzhou more than ten years ago. It is indeed open to question whether he is still the same person as Zen Master Lingyou more than ten years later.
"However, although my mentor cannot point out the direction to his disciple, he still agrees with his idea."
In fact, this was also the original intention of the Huiji Society to come to Weishan and formally worship Zen Master Lingyou, a former "crazy monk who disrupted the Dharma" as his teacher.
"In today's world, the Holy One is determined to destroy the Buddha, and the people are suffering unspeakably..."
"Each Buddhist temple is unwilling to give up the land under its name for its own benefit."
"If this continues, after the Dharma tribulation, there will be no more Buddhist teachings in this land of China."
Even though he was stating certain established facts, he couldn't bear to see those fake monks who knocked the clock crookedly and recited the sutra crookedly. Huiji's tone revealed an unprecedented seriousness and solemnity.
"In the past, there was Zen Master Huaihai who established Baizhang Qinggui, and later there was the crazy monk Chang'an who was Lingyou who disrupted the Dharma and debated scriptures..."
"My disciples dare not expect to be as ambitious as you two, but they are also willing to do their part in this chaotic world."
Silently listening to the heroic words of his disciples, a scene of sadness and helplessness flashed across Zen Master Lingyou's face inadvertently.
"The road is long and long, and I will search up and down."
There was no hint of timidity at all. After Huiji witnessed the impact of imperial power on orthodoxy, she was already mentally prepared to bear any consequences.
"If we don't continue to face difficulties, reform is already inevitable..."
"For this reason, dealing with secular officials has become a necessity."
At this point, Hui Ji's tone paused briefly, and then she spoke loudly.
"As long as my Buddhist scriptures can be spread in the world, what if the bad guys risk their lives?"
After Huiji finished telling her ambitions, the emaciated Zen Master Lingyou murmured softly.
"Idiots, idiots, they are all idiots!"
Huiji, on the other hand, laughed after hearing Zen Master Lingyou's murmur.
"Greed, anger, and ignorance are the obsessions of the world, so naturally I won't be surprised."
"In this life, I don't need to be obsessed with anything, and I don't want to seek enlightenment. I just want to be open-minded, even if my body is broken to pieces."
At this moment, Huiji was obviously sitting under Sakyamuni Buddha, but her figure seemed to be more majestic than the tall and magnificent Sakyamuni Buddha.
Because what Huiji wants to do is not only an impact within Buddhism, but also an impact on the secular ruling class. The pressure and disaster can be imagined.
"Publish Buddhist scriptures widely, change the Dharma, and use the scriptures of previous generations to explain our views."
"This is the solution that the disciple has thought about during this period..."
"Since the Han Dynasty was able to sublimate Confucianism through the method of 'I annotate the Six Classics, I annotate the Six Classics'."
"Then this disciple is also willing to use the method of 'I annotate Buddhist sutras, and I annotate Buddhist sutras' to open up a new path for me, the Buddha!"
