Walter Tye's teleportation spell took him not to Nastrom, but to his former sanctuary, deep within the store. No one can teleport directly into the city itself, although most of his equipment has been moved deeper underground, with one exception.
"You look terrible, human." Demon Bailey taunted the Necromancer as he entered his prison. He was alone, and the furniture had not yet been moved to Nastrom. "What, some adventurers bully you..."
The demon froze as he realized he was not facing a human being.
Because after meeting Heer, Tai's health was depleted, his emotions were chaotic, and his mask of humanity had slipped away. Goddess's wound somehow temporarily disabled his [Death Mask] Pe
k, which gave him the appearance of life.
His true immortality is now revealed to all, terrifying the arrogant demon.
Because Tai looks hungry.
The crooked, skinned fingers of his left hand slammed the demon's head against the back wall. "[Lifed
ai
] ! (Ankou people) roared, very hungry.
The devil screams as his years are being stolen away accelerating; he expends his life force to repair the damage of the god. Although it only took Tae a short time to recover from the peeling skin, the goddess's touch was not so easily wiped away; his body, his soul, yearned for more. His flesh burned with a hunger that could only be quenched by consuming life itself.
When Walter Tye finally regained his human appearance and sane mind, he found that his wounds had healed and Bailey had been sucked dry to death. The pressure was too much even for someone like him; the corpse had aged for thousands of years, the demonic flesh decaying into dusty old bones.
Your HP and SP have been completely refreshed. [Bailey, Underground Demon My soul has been added to your [Death Coach].
When Ty calmed down, he looked at the demon's fossilized bones in disgust.
It was a meal he could count on. He must find another source of food.
Ty immediately cursed his impulsive reaction and vowed never to lose control again. He hadn't had one of these attacks in years, and they always took him back to his early days, when he was nothing more than a voracious predator prowling the night. Although [Ankou] is a powerful undead creature, this event reminds Tai that his current form is a flawed intermediate stage toward perfect immortality.
Curse that goddess and her cursed touch. Not only does she treat him like a wild beast to be hunted for her pleasure, but she can also hijack his [Nagel's Law]. Can she stop it? No, even the goddess is not omniscient, nor can she focus all her energy on one person. While Ty's great cause ultimately defeats her, he's not her only enemy.
However, the mere fact that she could break his spell angered him. As he expected, the eighth tier was not enough. He needs to upgrade his spells to level 9, or even level 10, in order to create a magic that even Hel can't destroy.
The tremors and sirens from below brought him back to reality.
Summoning his [Mask of the Forsaken] and equipment to him, including his [Black Staff of Apophis], the mage cast necromancy [Ghost Form] to render him intangible. He passes through the stone wall and reaches the cave on the second level, where he finds vampire rats moving eastward in swarms.
"What happened?" he asked the animals, who telepathically linked themselves to the Necromancer's mind.
Many-Hive's hive mind beamed memories and live images to him, and throughout the second level, armies of the undead clashed with the Cult of Catastrophe. As Ty predicted, the [Ant-Headed Lion] dug passages for other intruders, namely raving madmen armed with torches and pitchforks, to slip in; the madmen used the two main passages to invade the dungeon, mostly It invaded from the east.
Apparently, they triggered his [Rune of Madness] and various magical traps, which turned the weak-willed [Antlions] against their humanoid controllers. This made it easy for the invaders to find the Orcs, who held the line until Hagen arrived to reinforce them.
In another cave, Spook slaughtered a pack of horse-sized wolves and snakes, fighting alongside the undead warriors in droves. The mummy bled a lot and turned red all over. What do these cults hope to achieve by sending these weaklings to their doom?
Unless they send their weakest troops to test the defenses first, saving their strongest servants for later?
If so, they misjudged Tye's defense. Or maybe his plan was successful and they thought that with the Necromancer gone, the undead would no longer be able to raise their own offspring. This also explains why they're raiding this area now; an all-out assault on a dangerous dungeon that's frequently raided by adventurers would draw attention.
A new view of another rat deeper into the tunnel confirms this. It turns out that these corridors lead to Broxariad Forest and an entire cult camp.
More precisely, the invaders set up camp in the wettest parts of the forest, among the mud and dense vegetation; away from prying eyes. What a motley party it was! Some were human worshippers or slaves whose wills were crushed by charm magic, but most were monsters. Serpentine or amphibian humanoids, winged harpies, giant goblins (Bugbea
s), mantises and beasts, animated trees, some ogres...
They even brought a green-scaled twelve-headed hydra with them, chained like a pet. What a gift, just when Ty was looking for it.
Still, many swarms counted at least 200 hostile creatures in the area. Why didn't anyone notice this small army creeping into the area without raising the alarm? Ty felt powerful magic at work, even through his rat eyes. Witch's magic.
A coven of witches.
The mouse turned to a witch's hut in the center of the camp and rested on its four robotic legs. The Necromancer identified it as a rare house mimic, a monster capable of taking the shape of a walking house.
The believers all wore strange pendants of thorns with two snakes intertwined in an S-shape symbol, which he knew was Loki's symbol, but one of the snakes was designed to represent the Midgardian serpent Jormung Gander; the other A reptile with the head of a wolf.
"Can you come into the cabin?" Ty asked the mouse's hive mind.
“There is no invitation,” it replied, “more of a feeling than a word.
Then stare at the area and memorize the scent of each creature for later use. Don't give away your location. "
After the medium's contact, the necromancer moved toward Hagen's location, where more cult members would soon arrive.
"[Hell Gaze]," Tai began to cast the spell on himself, his eyes turning into fiery red pits and symbols appearing on his skin. "[Elemental Veil], [Corrupted Guardian], [Siphon of Death], [Rune Skin], [Rune Reflector]."
[Hell Gaze] allows him to see through illusions, terrorizing those who meet his gaze; [Elemental Veil] protects him from elemental attacks, while [Corrupted Asylum] increases his attributes. [Death Siphon] will drain the life of those who die near him, while [Rune Skin] will increase his damage resistance, and [Rune Reflection] will send weak enemy spells to the sender.
Passing through the tunnel, Tye enters a large mine similar to the one his decoy fought in when he fought the Princess of Avalon. A second wave of horrific cultists invaded the underground hall through the corridors, only to die at the hands of the defenders. Hagen and Duke formed the vanguard, while the orcs pierced the enemy with arrows. The goblin leader, the Bone Eater of the Gods' Ears, imbues her bone bow [Heartseeker] with fire magic and incinerates any cultist who slips away from the undead elite.
"Thirty?" asked Hagen, his mace disintegrating a human worshiper in a burst of dark magic.
"Count it yourself," Duke replied, disemboweling him and sending a screaming werewolf running out of the tunnel.
At the back of the mines, one of Tai's alchemical cauldrons sprays gas-generating goo at the enemy, to no avail. Unlike human adventurers, these horrific cultists have an unnatural resilience and can safely inhale the gas...
Or maybe they have the academy’s antidote. He would need to do some dissections to know for sure.
"[Death X]," Tai floated through the cult, killing seven people on the spot and shocking the rest. His arrival boosted the morale of his army, and they fought more fiercely.
This joy was short-lived, however, as a tsunami of black thorns burst through the tunnel, shattering the stone and forcing his soldiers to scatter.
"A terrible wilting." Tai's spell caused the water in the thorns to evaporate, instantly turning the plants into dry dust. However, this widened the tunnel, allowing a new wave to pour into the mine.
This new force of animals and half-animals is even more impressive than the previous ones. A group of brown-haired goblins were attacked with short swords and daggers, accompanied by eight swaying zombies. A group of beasts consisting of giant pythons, centipedes, mutant crabs and an agile panther cover them from behind.
"As they say, it's your funeral!" Hagen commented, waving his scepter in the biting cold and crushing a monster's face. Meanwhile, Tai was smiling behind his mask. It had been a long time since he had used his arcane magic, and unlike with the princess...he didn't have to hold back.
Tai uses his [Undead Mastery] skill at will to enslave the mindless undead, turning them against their living allies before backing up his troops with instant death spells. Driven by his hunter's instinct, Duke kills the Black Panther with a well-aimed strike, while the slimes hold back the vanguard and the goblins stay behind.
"Obviously the druids are at work," Tai thought as he observed the makeup of the enemy force. Maybe a [black magician] or [psychic] magic expert, considering some cults seem [obsessed]. He knew that the Cataclysm Cult often used spells to break the will of others and brainwash them into worshiping their masters.
They were all completed in a short period of time, with Tye nonchalantly finishing the last bug in Death X.
"Forty-six?" Hagen asked Duke suddenly, surrounded by corpses.
"Forty-two," grumbled the blood-covered zombie lord.
"51". The undead looked at the leader of the orcs, the "resigned" Bone Eater, who proudly raised her bow. "51".
Taiyi said: "There are hundreds more people up there, and their troops are better." Not to mention, the absolute numerical advantage. "Blow up and condemn these tunnels. I'm going to the water to disperse them."
"Human?" Hagen asked in surprise.
"Alone," Tai confirmed, then floated across the ceiling. If a coven was involved, he couldn't risk getting his army caught in a magical crossfire.
Fly towards the water and walk like a ghost through the woods. He felt some kind of magical barrier blocking him, but he easily passed through and surrounded the cult camp.
The Necromancer raised his staff and summoned one of his deadliest spells. "Intensified storm."
A huge flaming cloud exploded in the center of the camp, burning everything in between. Sheepfolds were reduced to charred ash, men turned into flaming skeletons, and monsters fled as the flames devoured their flesh. Panic spread throughout the camp, and the believers either screamed and fled or tried to mount a futile resistance. Using his magic to protect himself from the flames, Tai landed in the ruins and blasted everyone with lightning.
He felt his SP reserves declining at an accelerated rate, so he activated his [Bloodletting Ring].
You can drain 300 HP to heal yourself or fuel spells.
He can do this by using his [Blood Curse] Pe
K came to suck his own life, but with Bailey's death, he could no longer easily restore his health.
The elephant-sized hydra broke its chains and, unlike the cowardly cultists, ran straight into Tai's flames. The necromancer looked up at the monster, staring into its eyes. "The gaze of the gorgon."
The hydra turned into a stone statue, which Tai saved for later.
When the smoke cleared, the camp turned into a gray desert and his fire spread through the surrounding woods.
Only the witch's hut remained intact, shielded from the flames by the swirling magical winds. "Get away, witches," Tai warned. "Before I burn your cabin down"
For a moment it seemed that he would get no answer; then the Necromancer raised his staff.
No sooner had he spoken than the wind blew through the marsh with maddening whispers and strange sounds. The words tried to ingrain themselves in his mind, even bypassing his natural resistance to the curse.
[Charm] and [Crazy was [denied] forbidden robe].
The sky darkened out of nowhere, and rain fell to extinguish his furious fire. The steam covered the swamp like a light white mist, making it look very ominous.
"Naughty Lich." The door opened and an old woman's voice came from the house. "You're going to burn down an old, frail witch's only house?"
If anything, Tai had to admire their sense of drama.
As he suspected, the cabin's inhabitants are a coven of three witches, each terrifying in their own way. The first was a three-meter-tall half-giant with a hunched back, a terrifying figure with blue skin, glowing yellow eyes, long, sharp teeth and claw-like fingers. She was clad in a bloody wolfskin, and her hands were adorned with two bracelets made of children's fingers.
The second was a green-skinned woman, younger than her companions but no less terrifying; her long fingers crackled with lightning, and her long black hair flowed in the wind. She was wearing a shabby midwife's uniform and grinned at Tai with green and rotten teeth.
The final member of the trio is a scrawny, ashen-skinned woman with bloody, clawing fingers and goat horns peeking out from beneath her long black hair. Fierce and intimidating, she wears a robe made from the skin of a fairy and has a glistening ruby on her forehead.
The giant was a [Grendel], a greedy child-eater; a lightning-user [Cailleach], a storm witch; Ty recognized the last one as a night witch, the most dangerous of all, with the power to control dreams. Each is a powerful opponent, but simultaneously the creatures of all three races become more powerful as they form three groups, combining their magic to produce various effects.
Such as controlling the weather.
"You may be old, but you're certainly not weak," Tai said, and the three faced him with hunger, wariness, and curiosity. "Black Annie, Green Teeth Jenny, the last one must be the Dream Eater."
"Oh, what a well-educated young wizard." The hunchback witch Black Anne fainted with joy. "He'd heard the stories."
"All the stories are scary and true," giggled Greentooth Jenny.
"However, I did not know that you formed a coven." The Necromancer replied, believing that these cruel witches acted independently. At least judging from the royal bounties on heads, that's what they did. "I didn't know you were allied with the Disaster Cult."
"Oh, we're not allied with anyone." Night Witch smirked obnoxiously, her teeth sharp like those of a wolf. “We always lead and sometimes we serve.”
As he suspected, each represented a different disaster. The Storm Witch likely served Jormungand, Grendel Fenrir, and finally Loki.
"The Catastrophe has huge and terrible magic. To learn it, we must bargain." Black Annie explained while rubbing her hands. "Maybe we can make a deal. You want to learn more than you know, and we have to set up shop in this place too. Our oath to never betray."
"You take me for a naive farmer?" Tai replied, knowing their reputation; though the comments about opening the shop troubled him. Why is the first group to try diplomacy the only one he can't trust? "This place belongs to me. Leave or die."
"Maybe we didn't." The smirk on Disgust's face grew wider, like a wolf smelling a weakness. "You are welcoming our son."
Their son?
Not possible to be……
"Three mothers." Tai narrowed his eyes behind the mask. "Medlot once told me that he was raised by three mothers."
"It's us. Although he rejected the path set for him by the three people." "But he came back after death, for what he missed during his life. The child will always return to his mother."
"Does he know who I am?" Tai asked, his fingers tightening around the scepter.
"Loathly's card told us the time of arrival," Je
y said harshly. "We saw your true colors and your black heart in the stew. No teeth, no warmth. Just darkness."
they know.
Knowing this information must have been a great divination, especially without his knowledge. Tai had to assume they could spy on him anywhere, anytime.
"I only allow you to enter Medelot, but for you, there is no salvation." The Necromancer said, gathering his magic. "If you see my face, you must take this knowledge to your grave."
"We are taking the secret with us, but not to Helheim," Jenny warned.
"We're going to boil your rotten flesh with salt." Black Annie licked her lips.
"Unless we make an agreement," Lothley said, "to share the tree, its power and its pain."
They know too much.
Still in his [ghost form], Tai pointed his staff at them and unleashed a powerful fireball in their direction. The dominatrixes clasped their hands together and a wall of power bounced in front of them, blocking the projectiles in place.
"Rude child, didn't your mother teach you to respect your elders?" He laughed desperately as thunder echoed in the sky. A huge thunderbolt fell on the Necromancer, and black, thorny vines emerged from the ashes. "Blackthorn!"
Nature itself turned against Walter Tay.
To protect yourself from lightning, A
Kou used a [spiritual shield] to kill all the plants around him, although his spells did not harm the witch. However, more thorns emerged, combining into the shape of a humanoid golem.
"Deathlo
d Aura!" Tai released a huge pulse of necrotic energy around the area, and the corpses of the burned pagans turned into mindless undead creatures. The walking corpses and the thorn golems started a life and death battle. .
fitting.
The witches make more use of the magic of their coven, and the clouds sparkle with magic. The thunder was deafening and the whole forest trembled.
"[Blizzard], [Acceleration]." As his speed increased, the Necromancer unleashed an arctic whirlwind from his ghostly fingertips, freezing vegetation in its path and piercing the Witch's shields. Since the witches may be too high level to use instant death spells, Tai will kill them the hard way.
Storm Witch Jenny was the first to react and erected a rotating wind barrier around the coven to protect them from the ice and snow. While it works, it also forces her to break the bonds of the coven, thus breaking the magical bond between them.
While protected, Night Witch accelerated herself in disgust, and the third member of the trio charged directly at Tai. She threw the skeletons and puppets aside with great strength, foaming like a wolf from her mouth, and a cursed light emanating from her fingernails.
Tai used his ring as an extra reserve, and before Black Annie could reach him, he used his intangibility to fly above her, her hands catching the air. "Kiss me, child!" she taunted him, and the Necromancer breathed a ball of fire into her face.
When Loathly turns into a crow and hunts him in the sky, Je
y attempts to summon a powerful air elemental. Unfortunately, Tai activated his staff's abilities and redirected the spell while enslaving his target.
Charisma check successful! You (the summoned [Primal Air Elemental] are charmed!
A powerful, living tornado appears near the witch's cabin, sweeping bones and ashes into the whirlpool; however, it attacks the surprised summoner, hurling Greentooth Jenny into her own house. The building screamed and the door transformed into a maw, warring with the air element.
The rain became poisonous, killing swarms of trees, while huge thunder and lightning fell from the sky. However, they didn't seem to attack randomly, instead focusing entirely on Tai. The Necromancer summoned a shield of fire around himself, fighting off Lothili's crows as he struggled to dodge the lightning.
On the ground, Black Annie hurled arcane projectiles at him, perhaps hoping to hit Tai while he was intangible. Instead, his [Rune Reflector] will attack the direct sender.
"I'll teach you how to dance, child!" The crows couldn't get to him, so they merged into disgust, but now she was riding a black Pegasus with flaming red hooves; unlike Tai, the unnatural weather didn't bother them. . The Night Witch attempted to dispel his protection, but the Necromancer negated her attempt with [Counter-Spell]. However, relentless attacks from all sides forced him to be on the defensive, and in addition to acid rain, the storm began to pile up magical hail.
You use the passive voice [frost] and [acid] damage.
Realizing he couldn't stay like this forever, Tai fired a [Psychic Burn] at Loathly, turning part of his life force into a howling ghost. The hag and her mount dodged the attack, but that gave him enough breathing room to surround her. "[X]Death!"
When Abomination ignored the attack, her mount was instantly killed, falling with his rider. On the ground, Jenny manages to kill her own elemental, though it destroys the animated house before dying. By this time, all the golems and undead were killing each other, and she could rush towards Black Annie without any hindrance.
Tai flew above the two and released a fireball between them, splitting them apart. He must stop them from casting spells en masse. Jenny's fingers crackled with lightning, and Black Annie formed a shadow ball in her hand.
"Blood Puppet." Feeling the Storm Witch's blood flowing under his control, Tye telepathically moved the liquid - along with all of Jenny Grint's teeth - into the path of Black Annie's attack.
The hunchbacked witch's eyes widened in horror as her shadow struck her ally instead of the intended target, destroying her own lightning spell. "elder sister!"
"Toxic Rainbow!" Terry took advantage of her surprise and used his scepter to fire a rainbow-colored ray at Black Annie, hitting her in the forehead. The witch let out a roar of agony as the magic blinded her and poisoned her flesh with supernatural venom. The necromancer then turns his full attention on her furious ally, manipulating her body like a doll.
"Sister, you-" Jenny wanted to shout a warning, but Tai forced her to shut up and ordered her to attack her ally.
"You want to hold hands, don't you?" the necromancer taunted them, then forced the hag to move her fingers. His bloody doll grabbed her fellow witch's head like a piece of fruit and jammed her thumbs into her eyes.
The Storm Witch fought against the mind control, but Tye forced her to keep holding on to her screaming ally. He felt warm blood flowing down his hands, as if the witch had become an extension of his own senses.
After surviving a car crash, this scurrying night demon runs to rescue her sisters. "[The curse of perfidy]."
A powerful curse hit Tai head-on, disabling his intangible abilities and fire shield. He lost control of his flight and crashed headlong into the ground, his control of Jenny fading away. The Storm Witch let go of her allies, sending up strong winds.
Briefly reaffirming his control over his bloody doll, Ty cast [Incision Wound] on her before she could cast the spell. The Storm Witch's skin was riddled with cuts and blood gushes from all the orifices; she cried until she burst into tears and coughed up bile in agony.
Unfortunately, this leaves him open to Loathly, who splashes him with acid balls. The substance burned through his robes and skin, and the two casters engaged in a duel with projectiles.
"I can't see..." Black Annie screamed, covering her blind face with her hands, and rushed towards Taiyi. "But I can smell you!"
Her claws flew towards his mask, and under the attack of disgust, Tai could only raise his staff to defend himself. Black Annie's hand knocked his wand away, then her fist shattered half of his mask, sending him flying backwards.
The Necromancer's back hit the remains of a Thorn Golem, and by the time he got back to his feet, the witches had regrouped.
"It's time for a spanking, Lich!" they roared immediately, magic flowing through their bodies and gathering in the ruby on the nuisance's forehead. "Ruby's eyes!"
The rubies transformed into crimson eyes and fired a deadly beam through Tai's chest. His magical protection was instantly dispelled, and light entered from one end of his body and came out from the other. Pain spread throughout his torso, like a black hole bleeding smoky darkness instead of blood.
[Reduces a lot of damage]Kiss of Help].
Walter Tye flushed with anger when he heard the news, and his pride was hurt.
"Do it again, sisters," the coven ordered reluctantly. "[wipe--"
"[Bloodspell]!"
A powerful primal arcane force pushed the trio back, and a crimson aura swirled around a furious Walter Tye. "Crimson Lightning!"
His fingertips unleashed a bolt of red lightning on the dominatrix, forcing them apart. Only Green Teeth Jenny was not harmed at all because she had natural immunity.
"[Painful Curse]," the Necromancer cast on Jenny, magically forcing all her nerves to explode at once. The only witch immune to lightning fell to her knees, and the necromancer decided to treat her in kind. "Crimson Lightning!"
This time he shot two arrows from both hands, one arrow knocked "Nasty" away, and the other arrow knocked "Black Annie" down. The wind raged against Tai, but he didn't care and blasted Black Annie with another thunderbolt.
"Crimson Lightning!"
Then there was another one that made her blood boil.
"Crimson Lightning!"
Then another, until her dead, smoking body stopped moving.
Like Death incarnate, [Ankou] moved on to his next victim. Using the [Blood Puppet], he telepathically brought Greentooth Jenny into melee range, forced her mouth to open, and then forced his left hand down her throat.
"[Muspelflame]!"
The fireball exploded in the witch's mouth, burning her to ashes. Ty tossed the charred bodies aside and focused on the last victim.
Devastated by the tragic deaths of her sisters, Night Witch seems determined to hold her ground, her ruby sparkling.
A current of magic spread through the air, and Tai glanced at the body of the dead witch. Black Annie and Green-Toothed Jenny came back from the dead and turned into green, fiery ghosts that lingered over their bodies.
Banshee.
"Undead, fight me? Me?" Tai's dark laughter echoed through the storm. "Undead Mastery." "
Charisma check successful!
You [charmed] [Jenny Green Teeth] and [Black Annie].
Their free will shattered, the two ghosts turned their attention to their sister, striking her suddenly with lightning and shadow balls.
"It's your turn," Tai said to Lothili, taking the scepter back into his hand, while Lothili struggled to fend off his coven.
Cowardice overcame her desire for revenge, and the Night Witch rammed her bloody fingers into the ruby. "Dream Hope!"
A bright light illuminated the gray-white clearing, and Tai's red lightning only hit the ground. The storm cleared and the magic in the air dissipated.
The last witch escaped and fled back to her master.
After capturing the survivors and collecting the bodies for future breeding, Tai ordered the tunnels to be condemned, the petrified Hydra to be dragged underground, and the cult camp to be inspected. Unfortunately, this magical duel destroyed everything of value.
"Boss, there's a hole in your chest," Hagen said as they waded through the ashes. "Just saying."
"Call the surviving cultists for a [Life Drain] meeting," Walter ordered, still in a foul mood. This should allow him to recover, although he will need to find a more permanent source of food.
"Well, if they're lucky, they'll learn their lesson," Duke said dismissively.
"I doubt it," Ty replied, frowning. While the victory allowed him to relax somewhat after Hale's visit, he knew it was only the first battle of a much larger conflict. At least they can resurrect the dead to gather information and supplement defenses.

He finally reached level 60. His old mentor Asclepius would have been proud of him.
As for the old witches, he bundled their souls into small, grotesque dolls and hung them on his belt before they could be freed from his [Master of the Undead]. Once he captures the last member of the coven, he can add her to the collection, perhaps tapping into their innate magic.
The Necromancer must find her quickly. Every second she lives increases the risk that she will reveal his identity to the world. As for what she said about Metro...
"I hate to say it, but we must assume that Medelot will not be the ally I expected," he told his elites. Ty had a hunch that the destruction of the Pale Snake had made things worse for his old friend. "The cultists will attack again, and this time they won't underestimate us."
"I've guessed it a long time ago." Hagen nodded. "Chief, we have other news we need to talk about."
"Indeed. The Necromancer nodded. Most importantly. "I still need to study Nast

There are still two months until the next Convergence Conference.
They'd better make the most of them.
