On a mountaintop somewhere above the clouds, a hero and a villain are having a great battle.
"Take this—(the infinitely luminous holy sword that dispels evil darkness)!"
"Ha, this has nothing to do with my (Holy Dark Shield that repels nasty heroes)!"
Huge spells and powers flew around, tearing the earth apart and tearing through the clouds below. This is indeed a very grand battle - a battle that will determine the fate of the world.
But does it really matter? Really?
Because...the destiny of the world has been changing in this way. There is always balance. Another hero, another villain. Yes, this is the fate of the world, but...
Probably only about 30 years.
This record was set half a year before a new villain emerged. This is a brief and eternal peace.
So it's really not a special fight. Similar battles have occurred before. Similar battles will start again.
No matter which side wins; the other side will eventually fight back.
Ultimately, this is a pointless story that leads nowhere.
Fortunately, they are not the protagonists of this story. In fact, they will become footnotes in history while our heroes lead a larger story.
There is a stone on the top of a violently shaking mountain. It's a nice stone - gneiss actually. It might be more accurate to call it a pebble. Children may take this type of pebble with them because of its nice shape and beautiful color. This pebble is like a stone, minding its own business. The noise nearby was annoying and it wanted some peace and quiet.
However, throwing a stone for a cycle, wishing for peace and quiet? When did it start making wishes? When did it have thoughts? The stone thought hard, but could only recall the long time spent in comfortable silence. Is this awareness new?
This is.
Just minutes before, a stray spell from the hero had struck the cobblestone, causing it to undergo some strange changes. Pebbles finds this situation strange and wishes it could return to the relaxed state it enjoyed before.
Who wants to know what eternity is waiting on the top of a mountain?
As it tried to relax its mind, Pebbles noticed a strange screen hovering in front of it. Have you had one before? No, it has to be new. Curious Pebbles stared at the small gray box.

Now that it's sentient, it thinks it's stronger than all the pebbles around it, but its statistics show otherwise!
Pebbles wasn't quite sure how it observed its surroundings, but somehow, it did. All around it were other stones, many of them much larger than it.
Pebbles didn't like that.
It wants to be the best of all stones.
Just then, as it was lost in thought, a new screen appeared in front of it.

A trap! A joke! A taunt! Who would be so cruel as to entrust such a difficult task to a motionless pebble? Ah, the greatest sin, how cruel!
"Come on, [Heroic Return Defeats Atomic Water Bond Razer]!"
"You fool, all water is atoms, you can't penetrate my [Impermeable Shield of Darkness]!"
Of course, the battle still rages on in the background.
Just as the pebble was about to fall into a deep depression, a burst of energy deflected near it and it was thrown into the air.
The pebble is confused - it's moving!
For the first time ever, the pebbles moved from that spot!
It liked the feeling and noticed a change in its flight state at its apex.

"Hey, I don't care. The Grotto Office only gave me a contract as a demon lord. I'm saying goodbye to this filthy world."
They said a few more words, but the pebbles had already gone far and were rolling down the hill. Soon, a notification appeared in front of it again.
