Ma En sat happily on the sofa chair. The locked safe was right in front of him, but he had no interest in the contents inside.

Because he will be discharged from the hospital soon.

Click.

Xu Wen opened the door and walked in:

"Sorry, I've been a little busy lately."

"It's okay." Ma En was in a good mood.

The young doctor walked behind the desk, sorted out the documents in his hands, and then smiled at Ma En:

"There's already news about your discharge. It will be done next week."

Ma En's expression paused.

But Xu Wen hasn’t finished speaking yet:

"However, due to Lu Yide's problem, the other members of your mutual aid group will all need to change their treatment plan. They may need two injections, both of which have no side effects..."

"Are you kidding me?" Ma En asked with a cold face.

Xu Wen quickly explained:

"Really, your discharge is already on the schedule. I can show you the information..."

Ma En narrowed his eyes slightly:

"The new treatment plan, just before I am discharged from the hospital? If I were you, you would take this opportunity to kill me. Do you think I would believe you?"

Xu Wen shrugged indifferently:

"I've tried my best. Why don't you go talk to the dean yourself, but I don't think he will casually agree to the mental patient's request."

Ma En looked puzzled and said:

"Don't you understand?

"If you are not willing to help me with the discharge procedures, I can find a new doctor at any time."

Xu Wen put away his smile:

"You know, unfulfilled threats only reflect your fear.

"I know very well how Victor Sanitarium works. Patients cannot attack the doctor. Likewise, I cannot attack you. Why are you so afraid?"

Ma En's body leaned comfortably on the back of the chair.

He knew this rule, so simple threats were useless.

He said slowly:

"That's the point. I have a way to bypass this rule and kill you. I already want to do it, but I have no time to waste. You don't understand why I want to leave.

"Either I am discharged from the hospital successfully today, or..."

Xu Wen was watching Ma En's face the whole time.

But he saw no trace of fear or worry.

"Actually, I shouldn't go against you, Mr. Marn." The young doctor pretended to praise, "I almost backed down, but there is another problem. First of all, I am not afraid of death, and secondly...

"You can't kill me, maybe you can flatten the head of this body and tear the heart into pieces, but it won't make any sense.

"Because I'm not Xu Wen."

Marne raised his hand.

A coin came out of his pocket and floated in front of Xu Wen.

He snapped his fingers.

Immediately, the coin turned into imperceptible metal dust.

"You mean," Ma En asked, "even if I turn your whole body into powder, you won't die?"

Xu Wen's smile froze.

But he reacted immediately:

"You can't attack me at all. If a person with your abilities really had the means to kill me, you wouldn't be able to resist taking action."

Now Xu Wen was beginning to feel lucky that he had met him at the Victor Convalescent Center. If he hadn't been here, he wouldn't have had any chance to gain the upper hand in front of him.

Under other circumstances, he would have discharged Ma En, but Xu Wen knew that he had no way out.

Xu Wen smiled like a winner:

"Don't worry, what I do to you won't be more terrible than death."

In fact, this sentence is also a reflection of himself.

If Ma En really has the ability to kill himself, the final outcome will not be more terrifying than falling into the hands of the company, so there is no reason not to gamble.

Ma En shook his head:

"It seems you have made your choice."

Secondary countermeasures are no longer useful.

Thinking from his perspective, Xu Wen couldn't possibly take the risk of confronting him without hatred and interests. In other words, there must be some reason that he didn't understand driving the other party.

He really couldn't kill Xu Wen.

But as the young doctor once said, there are more than just two capable people in this hospital.

The key to the ultimate countermeasure is not to leave any clues.

When the two sides were in a stalemate.

Boom, boom.

"Is Doctor Xu here?" Liu Yujun's voice came from outside the door.

She pushed them aside and walked in, looking at Xu Wen anxiously:

"Doctor Xu, I have something to tell you."

After speaking, Dr. Liu glanced at Ma En, implying that it was not appropriate to speak in front of him.

Xu Wen stood up, looked out the door and said:

"Marn, think about it again."

After saying that, he walked out, pretending to be completely unconvinced that Ma En was capable of dealing with him.

Click.

The door was closed by "Doctor Liu".

Marne stood up.

He walked straight to the safe, instead of picking up the "lockpick" given by Li Fen, he raised his hand casually.

After a burst of complex operation sounds of mechanical structures.

The lock is unlocked.

The safe is divided into three levels.

At the bottom were two piles of gold bars, a few black bags, and other hard currencies. In the middle were a few stacks of bank cards, a will that had not been used at all, and some other scattered items.

There is a notebook alone at the top.

Marn took it off, closed the safety door, and then returned to his seat to read through it.

The first thing I saw was Dr. Li's transaction record, and as I continued reading, Ma En's name gradually appeared, along with comments about each customer.

Dr. Li's earliest impression seemed to be of "young people who don't know where they can get so much money." He also mentioned that he should be cautious in dealing with such customers.

Then, Ma En suddenly discovered that almost one-third of the transactions in the records had his name, and the total amount was even close to 100 million, which was several times more than the other patients combined.

It seems that they are not an ordinary client and doctor at all, but some kind of closer working relationship.

The transaction record was followed by a dozen pages of blank space, followed by a page of warnings.

These are basically for doctors, and most of them are general advice, but there are a few potentially unique ones mixed in.

"If any doctor is watching and I'm dead, please remember the following.

Do not use violence against patients, doctors should not enter the critical area between three and four in the morning (except for overtime work), do not offend patients named Ma En, and do not contact the director..."

He finally turned to the last page.

"I'm going to have hypnotherapy this afternoon. May the Almighty Returner bless me and allow the treatment to be completed smoothly."

Suddenly, Ma En turned his head and looked out the window.

A black figure cut through the dull air and fell heavily toward the ground.

He got up and walked to the window.

"Not only is he too greedy." Ma En heard his own voice, "He also has no respect for danger. Don't make the same mistake."

Dr. Li, who was lying in the garden, was staring at where Ma En was standing with a dead eye.

His face was full of reluctance.

Ma En closed his eyes and expelled the tumbling memories from his mind.

As he opened his eyes again, the scene outside the window returned to its usual tranquil and peaceful appearance.

Marn's fingers gently brushed the side of the notebook, letting the last few pages disappear with the wind along with his memories.
