My name is DeAndre Jordan and I speak for myself.
After the start of the 2009-2010 season, I felt that the Los Angeles Clippers were full of hope.
The airborne manager Smart Min brought a completely different atmosphere to the team.
When I first came to the Clippers last year, I was quite desperate. This was a cursed team.
The biggest feeling I have from the whole team is that they don’t feel anything at all, and everyone just muddles through everything.
Things are different now, I want to change myself!
I decided to use a diary to record the major events of the team this season and also to witness my progress.
…
Thursday, June 25, Weather: Rain, Notes: 2009 Draft
Smart selected Stephen Curry from Davis University in the draft.
That was a player who could score like a madman, and his performance in the 2008 NCAA tournament was simply divine.
But everyone agreed to choose Griffin, and it felt like all the management was crazy.
…
June 29, Monday, weather: sunny, remarks: the first day of the summer league training camp.
The first time Mr. Smart came to the training center to watch the team train, I felt that his eyes were as sharp as a wolf.
As it swept over my body, I felt a chilling feeling.
I think I need to train harder, otherwise I risk being traded.
…
July 12, Sunday, weather: sunny, notes: Las Vegas Summer League starts.
Mr. Smart booked us the best Caesar Palace Hotel, which is really luxurious.
Last year we stayed at an express hotel in the summer league, and Mr. Smart was much more generous than owner Sterling.
Oh, by the way, Sterling has not appeared again since the start of the new season, and everyone is guessing whether he is dead.
…
October 20, Saturday, Weather: Sunny Notes: Preseason
A big thing happened. Randolph and the two Davises beat up someone in a nightclub.
But Mr. Smart firmly supported the two men, and it was later proven that the person who was beaten made racist remarks!
Randolph and the others played well and are the heroes of our black people!
Firmly support Mr. Smart!
…
October 27, Tuesday, weather: cloudy, remarks: NBA regular season opener.
What an exciting game, on the road at Staples Center.
We actually won the final game!
Stephen Curry hit a crucial three-pointer! Fisher failed to kill.
too excited! Although I didn't play for a minute, I cheered hard from the sidelines.
Mr. Smart is very calm, and I admire him for being so calm.
Also, Curry is so awesome.
…
November 19th, Thursday, weather: rain, remarks: a rare rest day.
The team's record at the beginning of the season was good. We won three consecutive victories, a beautiful victory.
Randolph performed very well, and the management suddenly announced to renew Randolph's contract in advance!
71 million in 4 years, my God, when will I get such a big contract?
It feels like the whole team has become very motivated and hopes to get a big contract.
…
November 30, Monday, weather: rain, note: rest day.
Two guys, Jordan Peele and Michael Key, came to the team again to film short films.
This time the whole team went out in the locker room to film a film called "Addiction Diary".
I literally laughed to death when I saw the script, with Baron Davis playing a guy who's addicted to having his butt slapped.
I swear, Baron Davis is really not like that, but he did a great job.
…
December 13th, Sunday, weather: sunny, remarks: game day with the Spurs.
We lost a big game to the Spurs at Staples Center, and I had a terrible game.
Coach Dunleavy has been expanding the team's rotation recently, and the substitutes' playing time has increased.
Our record is also declining, and we don’t know why.
I heard that Mr. Smart gave the order. He must have some long-term plan.
…
December 21, Monday, weather: sunny, notes: away game against the Spurs.
A week later we played against the Spurs again, and I finally felt Mr. Smart’s good intentions during this long road trip!
When we trailed by 11 points in the first half, the whole team exploded in the second half. Curry scored 18 points in the third quarter.
I came on the court in the fourth quarter and caught Curry rushing to the basket twice and dunked.
I also gave Duncan a big hat, that was Tim Duncan!
I blocked him! too excited! we won!
But for some reason, Mr. Smart didn't look very happy.
He made $20,000 for taking half-court shots and gave us a shit.
It was the first time he scolded us during a game and everyone was ashamed.
…
Friday, December 25th, weather: sunny, notes: Christmas, Christmas War.
There is no way to spend Christmas in Los Angeles, and we have to play the Christmas game with the Suns in Phoenix.
This game was broadcast live across the United States, and the game was very intense. My palms were sweating while watching on the bench.
In the first half, we were beaten and fell behind by 21 points.
But in the third quarter, we were united and came back.
It was Curry's performance in the third quarter again. He shot three-pointers like crazy.
As long as there is an opening in a pick-and-roll, he will throw a three-pointer. I have never seen a three-pointer like this.
But he scored. I can’t remember how many. I think there were 10? I really can’t remember clearly.
Anyway, we kept up the score all the way, and it was tied with one minute left in the game.
It's crazy, and what's even crazier is that Randolph finally caught the ball and made a layup to kill the Suns!
The whole team went crazy at the end of the game and it was the best Christmas present!
Really, I love the Clippers and I want to retire here!
…
December 27, Sunday, weather: rain, notes: Returned to Los Angeles after ending road trip.
The long road trip is finally over, and it feels good to be back in Los Angeles. Although it's raining, it's warm here.
We have a record of 5 wins and 1 loss in six games, which couldn’t be better. We have a chance to make the playoffs this season!
Today's opponent is the super-powerful Celtics, and it's really exciting to play against Kevin Garnett.
This guy has a really bad mouth. I almost got scolded to death when I played against him last season.
Randolph was absent due to a minor injury, Gordon returned, and Coach Dunleavy asked me to start!
But we played well in this game, and Kaman broke out again.
Facing Garnett and scoring 27 points, we won the game!
I completed my task very well, with 6 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks.
I feel great, I love the Clippers, we will get better and better!
…
December 29, Tuesday, weather: rain, remarks: none.
I was really hurt today. I got up in the morning and was going to the airport. Everyone was going to fly to Portland.
But Mr. Olshey called me out of the blue and told me not to go to Portland because I was traded.
I was traded to Memphis, along with Chris Kaman, for Marc Gasol, Jaric and a first-round pick!
I can't accept it, why would I be traded? Will he be traded to Memphis?
Still with Kaman, Kaman's performance can make him an All-Star!
Only one Marc Gasol and Jaric will be exchanged!
Jaric is no longer playing in the NBA, so he just wants to balance a contract.
Oh my god, my whole body is not good, my god, I hate this world.
I no longer love the Clippers, and I no longer believe in this world!
…
December 30, Wednesday, weather: sunny, remarks: I came to Memphis.
The first day I came to Memphis, the hometown of Elvis Presley, I felt pretty good.
I met Blake Griffin at the training center while he was still recovering from injury.
I heard that my recovery is not going very well and I need surgery, which will be completely reimbursed.
The burritos here are really good, and the people here have a very rustic feel, which is okay.
I want to forget the pain in Los Angeles and start over!
Griffin said he hates the Clippers and Smart and will one day seek revenge.
I agree, I will also take revenge, I will hurry up and become the starter!
…
January 2, Saturday, weather: cloudy, remarks: 2010 New Year.
Playing away games in Phoenix.
Off the bench, I got beat by Amar'e Stoudemire.
Everyone is bad, and this team has no hope.
Forget it, I don’t want to write a diary anymore, just hang out.
Who is a serious person who keeps a diary?
