At this moment, the Animal God had closed the big net, and the old owl soul went in and was about to worship the Wheel-turning King. The King of Wheels did not pay attention in time and ordered a group of young crows following the hall to exit quickly, and ordered the Animal God to lead them back. Reincarnate elsewhere.
A slightly older crow turned around and asked: Your Majesty, can we reincarnate into another creature and no longer be a crow? The King of Wheels said: Stop talking nonsense. The fact that you guys gave birth to crows before they were born means that your fate with crows is over. Now that you are trying to give birth to crows again, it is just a sign of fate.
The young crow refused to leave, and cried and complained with tears: Your Majesty does not know that crows are unlucky birds. They are not welcomed by people when they are born in the world of the world. They are cursed and will be hunted and hunted, causing many difficulties.
The other young crows who walked out of the palace door also turned their heads and knelt down to the Chakravartin King: Your Majesty, have mercy on us! We don’t have high demands, and we are all lucky birds anyway. Why not let us be reincarnated as a magpie or something like an auspicious bird?
Seeing this, the Wheel-turning King walked out of the palace, flicked away the dust on his clothes, then raised his left arm and opened his palm. After a while, the five fingers turned into five big trees. The trees were full of crows, and some were hovering in the sky. , their wings flapped loudly, and some rested on the tree branches where they had built their nests, croaking;
In the blink of an eye, the right arm of Chakravartin also stood up, and the five fingers turned into five houses, extending side by side into a natural village. As soon as people in the village went out, they saw dark clouds of crows flying on the roofs and treetops. They all felt frightened as they flew back and forth, as if something bad was going to happen, so they sent people to shoot cannons into the sky to scare away all the crows here; they also sent people to climb up the big trees and remove the crows' nests or crows built from the dead branches on the top of the trees. Burn it on fire or poke it with a stick, as if doing so will prevent disaster from happening.
The young crows were very confused when they saw this inexplicable scene. After a while everything disappeared, and standing in front of me was the majestic-looking Wheel-turning King. He said: Did you all see what happened just now? do you know? Those villagers who destroyed the crow's nest were all you in the past life. Now it's your turn to be reincarnated as a crow, and let you taste what it's like to be cursed, expelled, and killed as a crow. As the foreman of the Tenth Hall that manages the reincarnation of all living beings, I have no right to ask anyone to be reincarnated into what? What you should be reincarnated in depends on your fate. I can't change the direction of your reincarnation. I can only fulfill your destiny. Having said this, the Wheel-turning King raised his hand to signal the kneeling crows to stand up, and then continued: As far as I am concerned, I only hope that you can all escape from the animal realm and be reincarnated into the human realm, or it may be superior to the human realm. Is it possible for someone to become an immortal or a Buddha? That requires practice. As far as my position as Wheel-turning King is concerned, I am still far away from the sacred realm of immortals and Buddhas!
The wheel-turning king returned to the inner hall, and the young crows seemed to have some kind of enlightenment, and left quietly, following the animal god through the yin and yang world, and reincarnated into the animal realm to create the species they should be born into.
At this moment, the soul of the old bird bowed devoutly to the Wheel-turning King. The Wheel-turning King said: I know your purpose of coming, isn't it just to complain? Let me tell you that complaining is useless. Are you bringing it upon yourself?
The soul of the old bird said with a mournful face: Your Majesty, you have his psychic powers, clairvoyance and other magical powers. You should know that I live in the jungle home, and Li Gui lives in the village. He and I are on the same page, but he is so harsh to me. , pursued fiercely, preyed on the weak, and destroyed my family. I have no other request. I only hope that the king will be merciful and allow me to be reincarnated as a strong man to avenge this. Everything in the world of heaven and earth talks about cause and effect. My revenge is also due to cause and effect. It is not excessive!
The Chakravartin King, who was sitting upright in the hall, laughed out loud after hearing this cry. Then he looked at the soul of the old man and said teasingly: You are very reasonable, but I am powerless against your request to be reincarnated as a strong man to avenge your grievances. Don’t you believe in the law of cause and effect?
The old man nodded with his soul and listened with bated breath.
The Wheel-turning King said: In your past life, you were a fisherman and caught a mother eel. You put her in a pot and cooked it. Not only was she cooked to death, but her belly full of unborn eel larvae was also cooked to death. There were thousands of eel larvae in its belly, which means that thousands of little lives died that time. Since you believe in the law of cause and effect, please think about it, how much karma did you create in that one time? Later, the ghost of the eel lingered, and after several reincarnations, it eliminated evil and then reincarnated into a human. But because you did too many evil things, you were reincarnated into a flat-haired beast and became an old bird. Now, the guy who turned from an eel into a human is just here to seek revenge. , so I feel sorry for you and my family is ruined. Now you want to be reincarnated as a strong man to take revenge on him. Although you may succeed in the future life, when will the injustice be repaid? It's better to just give up and be patient.
What the king said is indeed true, and the crow people will take it to heart. The soul of the old bird knelt down and saluted again: "Thanks to the king's guidance, the crow people will rest their minds from now on and no longer attempt to take revenge." It's just that my crows won't give up. They want to take revenge, and there is nothing I can do to stop them!
Whoever commits evil will suffer, what does it have to do with you? The Wheel-turning King said: Your bad fate of being reincarnated as a flat-haired beast has not yet been resolved, but becoming a flat-haired beast does not mean that you cannot practice cultivation at all!
At that moment, the ghost servant of the temple placed a stack of reincarnation notes in front of the case, and the wheel-turning king took them and handed them to the old bird's soul. The old bird's soul left the palace and reincarnated as it pleased.
There is a Guanyin Temple in the hilly area of Jiangnan, where the monks in the morning and evening classes mainly chant sutras. In the middle of the day, monks often go out of the temple for a stroll, or go to the vegetable garden to water and fertilize, or meditate with the pine trees.
Suddenly one day, Monk Xuyun taught the Diamond Sutra for a while, then walked out of the temple with a load of wooden barrels, and followed a path made of stones to the village house at the south end of the temple to find a well to draw water. As I was passing by a thorn bush, I heard the sound of snoring. When I looked closely, I saw a white goose fighting with a weasel, refusing to give in to each other.
The white goose kicked its toe webs and gained momentum. The weasel did not dare to move rashly and tried to open its mouth and bite its crook, but it was hard to find a chance. Monk Xuyun suddenly recalled what he saw in his dream last night. A white goose born from the soul of an old owl was fighting with a weasel and asked him for help. Now that I see this scene, I know the clues, so I feel compassion for all living beings, and I will neither let the white goose suffer nor hurt the weasel.
He suddenly put down the bucket, clasped his hands towards the stalemate between the white goose and the weasel, and recited Amitabha, and the weasel turned around and ran away. But the white goose raised its neck as white as snow and sang "Nai" with a smooth voice, clearly expressing gratitude to Monk Xuyun for arriving in time to resolve this desperate contest.
When Monk Xuyun saw that the white goose was out of danger, he happily picked up the bucket and continued walking towards the bottom of the village. When he came back with a bucket full of water, he saw the white goose waiting at the door of the temple and singing happily to him.
Monk Xuyun said knowingly: Master White Goose, Bodhisattva bless you with peace and good fortune!
From then on, this white goose stopped at the gate of the temple every day to listen to the sutras, bending its neck and holding its head high, as if it was looking up at the taller and more majestic gate tower of the temple. Between listening to the sutras, it only foraged for some vegetarian food among nearby bamboo bushes and shrubs to satisfy its hunger, and never strayed far. Even in the evening, I forgot to return to the cottage at the foot of the mountain to store the cage.
The owner of his house is Liu Gushu. After the sun set that time, all the livestock in the courtyard were put into cages and returned to their pens, except for the white goose. Just as he was about to go out to look for it, he saw Monk Xuyun standing at the gate of the courtyard. In front of him, behind him is the white goose.
Monk Xuyun turned around and said: Master Bai Ge, you should also go home.
The white goose quacked twice knowingly and walked into the yard.
Liu Gushu looked at Monk Xuyun and asked strangely: When did you, a monk, tame my white goose to obey your words so much?
Amitabha! The donor didn’t know something. Monk Xuyun said: Your white goose has a connection with Buddhism and goes to the gate of the mountain temple every day to listen to sutras.
Is there really such a thing? Liu Gushu asked puzzledly.
Amitabha, monks do not lie. After Monk Xuyun finished speaking, he turned around and left.
