The next day, Mrs. Xu sent her servant to look for Mei Jiaojiao at her mother's house, but no one was there. The family also found the Lu family manor. When they saw that Lu Zuolin was so ill, they left it alone. Mei Jiaojiao has never been found, and some people speculate that she may have eloped with a man far away. From then on, the patient Lu Zuolin's daily life was taken care of by his first wife Liu Yingai.
During this period, the Lu family gave Lu Zuolin some medicine and decoction according to the prescription prescribed by the original doctor. However, he took a course of treatment without any effect.
One evening not long after, the sun had just set, and the dying Lu Zuolin died at home. His death was particularly horrific. His throat had been ulcerated and perforated, which was unbearable to watch.
After the beggar who accused Lu Zuolin of misdeeds came out of the City King's Palace, since he had no sins in the human world, he followed the guide and passed directly through Meng Po Pavilion. He drank the Jiwangtang and forgot about his affairs in the human world, and then went to the Wheel-turning King's Palace to receive his reincarnation. Post, quite lucky.
The beggar was born in a wealthy family named Zhu in the southern water town. His name was Zhu Zhi. He was the second child in the family. He also had an older brother named Zhu Zi. Both brothers were born with tiger-like heads, but the elder brother had whiter skin and Zhu Zhi had darker skin. .
Therefore, the two brothers were each nicknamed by the locals, one was called Dabai and the other was called Xiaohei. Dabai knew how to read. From elementary school to junior high school to university and even graduate school, he passed the exams with hard skills and never failed a grade. After a lifetime, he became a product developer for an automobile company, and finally became an expert. In the first few years, his annual salary was 300,000, and later it exceeded one million.
Xiao Hei was not good at studying. He only went to junior high school and dropped out before graduating. He had nothing to do and became the old man in the family, enjoying only the blessings of his parents.
Of course his parents are doing well, one is a director in the village, and the other is an accountant at a driving training school. They can be said to be rich and powerful in the local area, but this cannot be used as Xiao Hei's capital, and it will not last long. His parents It was discussed that Xiao Hei should be sent to a driving school for training to learn how to drive a car, so as to prevent him from being idle and damaging his talent.
Xiao Hei is quite savvy about mechanics. He passed the exam soon and got his driver's license. When the elder brother heard that his younger brother had learned to drive, he took the initiative to pay for a bus for him to do transportation. Xiao Hei was also happy to do this job.
But he was not feeling well physically, and after running for several kilometers, he felt like vomiting.
He would often try his best to deliver the passengers in the car to the station, then get down from the driver's seat, and walk impatiently to the roadside, where he would bend over and vomit, vomiting out a lot. Even he felt the smell was unpleasant, so he covered his nose and stepped back a few steps. He walked until he stopped vomiting, then straightened up, walked to a place far away from the vomited filth, and breathed fresh air to the sky. Until the feeling of exhaustion slowly disappeared and his physical strength was restored, he He turned around and got on the bus, preparing to drive the bus back to the station to wait for another group of passengers.
Xiao Hei was about to close the car door when he suddenly found a beggar with a face covered in dust smiling as he walked towards the roadside where he had vomited the dirt. He squatted down, grabbed the dirt and stuffed it into his mouth, and slapped his hands. Say, delicious! tasty.
Xiao Hei immediately got out of the car and shouted to the dirty beggar, "You can't eat, you can't eat. I don't care if you get sick from eating."
The filthy beggar didn't listen to him, but he still grabbed and ate them by the handful, making the already filthy beggar even dirtier, which was disgusting to watch.
Xiao Hei felt that the dirty beggar was a little crazy and there was nothing he could do about him. He had no choice but to let it greedily eat the filth.
Xiao Hei was about to get in the car when he suddenly saw a fat monk walking on the other side of the road. He was wearing a soapy yellow monk's robe and his face was red. He approached the beggar, poured the rice from the alms bowl into a small wooden bowl and handed it to him.
The dirty beggar didn't want it. He pushed it with his hand and spilled the rice in the small wooden bowl. He seemed to be completely unaware and continued to stretch out his hands to eat the dirty vomit.
Xiao Hei often hears people say that eminent monks can see the cause and effect of other lives from people's actions in this world. He just took one look at the fat monk and didn't know whether he had attained enlightenment or whether he was an eminent monk. He immediately asked him, "This filthy beggar is like this. If he refuses to eat the fragrant rice that the master gives him, he will be filled with filth." I am interested in dirt, what is the cause and effect?
The fat monk clasped his hands together and recited Amitabha, and then said that this dirty beggar was a manor owner during his lifetime, and he was not kind to the hungry poor people and was very stingy. Once, he gave rancid porridge to a beggar, which caused the beggar to be poisoned and died. Do you know who the beggar who died of illness was?
Xiao Hei asked, how do I know? The fat monk said that the beggar who died of illness was your previous life. In that life, he was a rich man who bullied you, a beggar. In this life, he became a beggar and even grabbed and ate the dirt that you, a rich man, vomited. He had many sins in that life, the biggest sin being that he burned the excess grain and did not help the hungry victims. Therefore, after his death, he suffered the terrible retribution of becoming a beggar.
Xiao Hei asked again, why am I so motion sick?
The fat monk looked at Xiao Hei carefully, and finally looked into his eyes, but said that he was looking at Xiao Hei.
Xiao Hei was so nervous that his body trembled. The fat monk asked him to take a deep breath before he calmed down. The fat monk had something to say, so he didn't speak immediately. Instead, he patted the leather shoe he was wearing on his left foot and asked if he had psoriasis on the heel of his foot. He applied various lotions. I took some ointment and some medicine internally, but it couldn't be cured, right?
Xiao Hei immediately knelt down in front of the fat monk and said, "You are really an eminent monk with magical powers. You can tell even when I'm wearing leather shoes."
The fat monk motioned for him to stand up and stop kneeling. Xiao Hei did not get up immediately, but sat down on the side of the road covered with weeds. He took off the leather shoe of his left foot, showed him the piece of psoriasis on his heel, and kept saying some admiring words. Discourse.
The fat monk had a kind smile on his face like Maitreya Buddha and said, "No need to look, I know."
Xiao Hei put on his leather shoes, stood up and said to the fat monk, you are a living Bodhisattva, can you cure this psoriasis for me? Do you know how uncomfortable I am? I can't walk fast anymore. The psoriasis on my skin is causing severe friction and it hurts! So I had to drive, but driving was not smooth and I always got motion sickness.
This is all due to cause and effect. Cause-and-effect diseases like this are difficult to treat in hospitals. Do you know that all dharmas are empty and cause and effect are not empty? I am not a Bodhisattva. Even if I am a Bodhisattva, I can only bless you. To truly cure it, you have to rely on yourself.
I am not a doctor or a Bodhisattva, so how can I cure my own illness?
Xiao Hei kept reasoning, and the fat monk told him that all mortals have karma. Without karma, he would not be a mortal, but don't be afraid if you have karma. As long as you do good deeds and accumulate virtue, accept retribution calmly, repent and eliminate karma, and cultivate yourself into the realm of Bodhisattva. There will be no disease.
How easy is it for Little Black Heart to cultivate himself into the realm of Bodhisattva? He backed down and changed the topic to what he wanted to ask, living Bodhisattva! I have psoriasis on my heels. What does it have to do with my motion sickness?
It matters a lot. The fat monk then told the cause and effect:
Xiao Hei didn't do any good things like building bridges and roads in his previous life, so that's okay. It won't cause motion sickness or psoriasis on his heels in this life. The problem is that he was once domineering and domineering in his previous life. When someone passed by his house, he asked them to stay. When people refused to pay for the road, he destroyed a bridge and a section of road that he had to pass through. In his previous life, he had already received retribution, became insane and became a beggar. If he had not received retribution, he would not be able to save his life after death.
Although he is still reincarnated as a human being in this life, the karma of his previous life has not been eliminated, so it is rare for him to have the blessing of driving in a car. Even if he is driving in a car, he is prone to motion sickness and vomiting, making him physically and mentally uneasy; even walking on foot is inferior to ordinary people, and his Isn't there a patch of psoriasis on his left heel? As I walked faster, my psoriasis was rubbed against the back of my shoes, causing pain, redness, and swelling.
After listening to the fat monk talking about the cause and effect of his past and present lives, Xiao Hei was frustrated and worried. Seeing the fat monk asking for his alms bowl, I walked around to him and asked, Living Bodhisattva, is there the best way to cure my motion sickness and the psoriasis on my left heel?
The fat monk said that the best way is to rely on yourself. If you can repent of your karma and persist in doing good deeds, your condition will improve or be controlled. However, the chance of complete recovery from this kind of karmic disease is very low. Just like someone cuts the flesh with a knife during a fight, and the doctor performs a stitch operation. After a period of recovery, even if the wound no longer hurts, there will always be scratches left on it. The scars that won’t go away are also the best results.
Xiao Hei understood that the best result would be if his condition could be controlled, and the prerequisite for the condition to be controlled was to persist in doing good deeds, otherwise it would be impossible.
Xiao Hei started doing good deeds that day. He drove a passenger bus and offered free rides to the elderly, disabled and pregnant women. Some people say that this is better than buses. Buses only offer discounts to the elderly, disabled and pregnant women, but they are not free at all.
That time, when Xiao Hei was driving to the terminal, he saw many people gathered on the roadside, as if they were watching something, with serious expressions, and it was clear that something had happened.
When he got off the bus after sending the passengers to the station, he heard someone commenting that a beggar had died on the side of the road in front of him. His body was in good condition. It didn't look like he had been hit by a car, but he seemed to have died of illness. What a pity!
