The gods correspond to the realm of true immortals.
As for the gods and below, there are the four mirrors of visualization, soul-containing, soul-sacrifice, and spiritual communication, which respectively correspond to the realms of qi-refiners, human immortals, earth immortals, and heavenly immortals in the immortal way.
The Shinto system has great flaws.
Innate gods are limited by their own Tao, while practitioners of acquired Shinto are limited by the innate gods they visualize.
This is also the reason why Taoist Hongjun only copied part of the Shinto system.
