To be honest, Xuan Chen doesn't care about this false reputation. No matter how powerful the Western sophistry is, how can he block it with his words when he is hit by the divine thunder? Unless he can speak his words like a saint, but think about it. impossible.
Being in the limelight will easily attract the attention of the Zhunti Saint. However, since the master has the order, he cannot be allowed to continue to be arrogant.
Seeing Maitreya smiling very proudly across from him, Xuanchen said to Maitreya: "I have met Taoist friend Maitreya. I am a poor Taoist. I have a question for you. I wonder if you can answer my question."
"Fellow Taoist, please tell me. Maitreya knows everything he knows."
“I heard that Western teachings emphasize planting good causes and obtaining good results, but I don’t know if that’s right?”
"Of course, I, the Buddha, am merciful. As long as you plant good deeds, you will be able to reach the Paradise of Paradise in the next life."

"The poor Taoist would like to ask, a fishmonger and an eminent monk are neighbors. The fishmonger gets up early every day to kill animals, which is a serious sin, but the eminent monk gets up early every day to pray for the people of the world and recite sutras. One day, the fishmonger and the eminent monk met to remind each other to get up early to kill fish. Or chant sutras.”
"I wonder if you know, who of the two will be honored in the Paradise after death?"
Xuan Chen asked, but the disciples of the two sects of Chanjie were stunned and didn't know why senior brother Xuan Chen would ask such a simple question.

On the contrary, the eminent monk wakes up the fishmonger every day, but the fishmonger goes to kill the fish. Every sin in the hands of the fishmonger is rewarded. A portion for the eminent monk.”
"Fellow Taoist, do you think the eminent monk has more blessings or more killing karma?"
Xuan Chen spoke calmly, but he clearly played with the theory of cause and effect in later generations of Buddhism.

Maitreya didn't know how to deal with it for a moment. According to the cause and effect, Xuan Chen's theory was indeed okay, but it ran counter to the Western teaching that good will be rewarded with good and evil will be rewarded with evil.

Seeing that Maitreya was speechless, the disciples of both Chanjie and Chanjie sects all applauded. This was simply treating someone else's body in his own way.
"Since fellow Taoist Maitreya cannot answer, I have a question and ask fellow Taoist Medicine Master to answer it."
I saw Xuanchen pointing to the flag streamer outside Taiqing Hall and saying, "Excuse me, Fellow Taoist Medicine Master, is this flag flag moving in the wind, or is it the flag flag moving?"
The pharmacist immediately began to think after hearing this. The question Xuanchen asked Maitreya just now made the pharmacist dare not underestimate him.
But after thinking for a moment, he gritted his teeth and said: "The wind blows and the flag moves, so naturally the wind is moving."
"Wrong, very wrong."
Seeing Xuanchen saying that Maitreya was totally wrong, Dashizhi next to him said, "That means the flags are moving."
"That's not right either."
Xuan Chen was calm and said slowly to the two of them.
"Is that fellow Taoist trying to entertain us? It's not the wind, it's not the flags and flags that are moving, what kind of movement is that?" Da Shizhi said a little uncomfortably.
"It's the two fellow Taoists whose hearts are moving."
"The two fellow Taoists are too attached to appearances. If my heart is not moved, the wind will blow and the flag will blow. It seems that my practice is still not at home. If my heart is not peaceful, the flag will move when the wind blows!"
After hearing Xuan Chen's explanation, Yao Shi and Da Shi Zhi had nothing to say. If they forced themselves to argue, they would be at a disadvantage.
How come this guy looks more like a disciple of the Western religion than we disciples of the Western religion?
Seeing that the two of them had nothing to say, all the disciples of the two Chanjie sects hurriedly woke up and felt proud, while only Duobao and Cihang fell into deep thought.
When Ksitigarbha saw that Maitreya, Medicine Master, and Da Shi Zhi were all at a disadvantage, he immediately spoke first and said: "Senior Brother Xuanchen has great wisdom. I also have a question that I would like to ask my friend. Please answer it."
Before Xuanchen could speak, Ksitigarbha continued: "Brother Xuanchen, what is Tao?"
What is Tao? This thing is too broad. The heaven, earth, mountains, rivers, sun, moon, stars, yin and yang and the five elements can all be said to be Tao.
As long as Xuan Chen answers, Ksitigarbha will definitely give an incomplete answer.
This guy Ksitigarbha should not be underestimated, the disciples of the second sect of Chanjiao thought so.
It's a pity that Xuan Chen has already seen through the other party's thoughts and will not answer according to the other party's logic.
"I am the Word."
As soon as these words came out, everyone in the Western Sect was stunned. The disciples of the Second Sect were also dumbfounded. They didn't expect that Xuan Chen actually dared to say that he was the Tao.

"Isn't it true that those of us who are practicing Taoism are cultivating the Tao? The Taoist friends cultivate the Western Dao, and we, the disciples of the three religions, also cultivate their own Dao. There are three thousand Dao, but we all reach the same goal through different paths. We say we are cultivating the Dao, but in fact we are just cultivating ourselves. "
"Fellow Taoist, is it not about cultivating yourself?"

"Fellow Taoist has great advice, and Ksitigarbha is taught by it."
Cultivation is essentially the understanding of the Tao and the attribution of the Tao to oneself, so there is no problem for Xuan Chen to say this. Ksitigarbha is unable to speak even if he is about to refute. At this moment, although Western religions have the concept of Buddha, they have not yet become Buddhism. Can Ksitigarbha say that what he cultivates is not the Tao?

Even if Ksitigarbha says that he practices Buddhism, since the two Western saints are both disciples of Taoism, he can still say that Buddha is Taoism!

"In this case, I also want to ask fellow Taoist Ksitigarbha a question: What is a Buddha?"
Since the other party made a move, it was naturally impossible for him not to fight back, so after answering the other party's question, Xuan Chen immediately asked.
This question can be said to be extremely tricky. Not to mention that Buddhism has not yet taken shape. If Ksitigarbha Xuanchen generally says that I am the Buddha, it is equivalent to copying the answer and directly falling into the inferior vehicle.
"The one who saves people in the world is Buddha." Ksitigarbha replied.
This answer is quite satisfactory, not necessarily brilliant, but it is hard to find fault with.
"Wrong, all living beings are Buddhas. Didn't you say that you put down your butcher knife and become a Buddha on the spot? Of course, evil people can also become Buddhas. Those who save people in the world are good, and those who kill sentient beings are evil. Since both good and evil people can become Buddhas, isn't that the world? Are all people Buddhas?”
These words made Ksitigarbha completely unable to refute. This was to use the other's spear and attack the other's shield, using the principles of Western religions to attack the principles of Western religions.
Did Ksitigarbha say that evil people cannot become Buddhas?
That would run counter to Western teachings.
Seeing that Ksitigarbha did not answer, Xuanchen looked at the last person in the Western religion, Kinnara, who was also known as Wutian Buddha in later generations.
This future great protector of the Buddhist world, Kinnara, is one of the eight dragon gods. It can be said that he has a bright future.
Later, he was ordered by the Buddha at that time to preach in the southern part of Hezhou, Xiniu. The local Brahmin high priest asked him to complete three things that ordinary people could not accomplish before he allowed him to preach there.
The first one is to tell A Liu, a descendant of a local family of thieves, to stop stealing.
The second is that the local gangster A Dao who loves to fight no longer fights.
The third one is the local prostitute Di Ah Sha who no longer works as a prostitute. After he finished, the high priest reneged on his promise and wanted to put Kinnara to death. Ah Sha, who was originally a prostitute, broke her promise and stopped doing it in order to save Kinnara. The prostitute took the oath and committed suicide after agreeing to the high priest's conditions.
Kinnara later questioned the Buddhist theory, and was expelled from Lingshan Buddhism because of this. He was deeply stimulated and had evil thoughts in his heart.
Later, in order to take revenge, he floated his soul into the demon world and cultivated to become Mo Luo. Later, he combined it with the ultimate innate spiritual treasure, the World-Destroying Black Lotus, to become the soul black lotus, and then sealed his good thoughts into his so-called soul black lotus. He vowed to conquer the Three Realms and resurrect his lover A-Sham.
The future Tathagata Buddha drove him into the abyss of darkness, but the Black Lotus and the Tathagata Buddha were sucked into the belly of the peacock that suddenly appeared. With the help of the power of the Peacock King, he was able to transform again and became the great devil Wutian, the black man with evil thoughts. Yi Sakyamuni's magical power is equivalent to that of Tathagata Buddha. He is a super powerful person that cannot be destroyed by any force except the seventeen relics.
In this way, the catastrophe of the three realms came. The Tathagata Buddha left a verse and passed away and reincarnated. Wutian achieved his wish and successfully ruled the three realms. However, in the end he was still unable to resist the fate. The fulfilled verse was turned into a boneless relic by Sun Wukong to match the other sixteen. The relic destroys it.
Xuanchen looked at Kinnara, and then at Duobao beside him. In the future, one of these two people would be Wutian Buddha, and the other would be Tathagata Buddha. They were also entangled in cause and effect.
But here I am, if I can change the future, Duobao may not necessarily become Tathagata Buddha.
But I don’t know if Kinnara’s fate will change, so Xuanchen asked Kinnara: “Fellow Kinnara, if one day your beliefs run counter to the Buddha you believe in, what will you do?”
