The Great Immortal of Jinting was very restless, but he did not go to Fangfang Mountain or Gusu City, but to Lingyan Mountain.
Immortal Jinting has very few friends in Gusu. Originally, Bai Xianglong came to flatter him and was barely considered a friend. However, Immortal Jinting really doesn't like Bai Xianglong. Now he has been sent to Fangshan Mountain to act as a trap for him.
Taihu God was originally a superficial friend, but was tricked by King Tonghui and broke off the relationship.
King Tong Hui can be regarded as a friend with ulterior motives, but Immortal Jin Ting also has ulterior motives. Before two people with ulterior motives can meet, they must go through a few tricks first.
In the end, King Shicheng, who had only invited him to two banquets, had a greater appetite for the Great Immortal Jinting.
He didn't have any purpose in coming this time, but he heard that Lingyan Mountain had also gathered a lot of refugees, so he came here specifically to take a look.
Lingyan Mountain has indeed taken in a lot of refugees. King Shicheng has been running it for many years, and Xiufeng Temple is quite effective, so the monk temple has a good fortune.
Nowadays, a large number of homeless people have entered Wu County. The old monk took one look and agreed with his disciples to help with disaster relief.
A porridge tent was set up at the foot of the mountain, and rice and water were supplied every day. Every person could be saved.
Such kind deeds also received support from many people. Many wealthy merchants in Gusu contributed part of their capital and part of their food supplies, and many refugees gathered in the entire Lingyan Temple.
When the Great Immortal Jinting came to Xiufeng Temple, there were not many monks in the temple.
The old monk was chanting sutras, and the rest of the people went to help relieve the refugees.
When the Great Immortal Jinting came, King Shicheng was a little surprised and asked: "How come the Great Immortal has time to come to my place today?"
Immortal Jinting laughed and said, "I was originally going to Gusu. When I passed by you, I saw that your place was very popular and unlucky, so I wanted to come down and meet you. I just didn't expect you to be helping the victims."
King Shicheng sighed and said, "My Buddha is so merciful that I cannot bear to see him."
Immortal Jinting simply chatted with him, and from his few words, he found out that Xiufeng Temple had already started providing relief.
Xiufeng Temple started helping refugees earlier than the government. Last year, there were two droughts and locusts, and the winter was cold. There were already refugees, most of them from nearby counties.
The government didn't care about it at first, but the monks of Xiufeng Temple couldn't stand it, and they were already providing relief at that time.
It was only this year that the government saw that the situation was serious. No matter how serious the situation was, they reported it to King Wu and implemented benevolent policies. Only then did the relief work become more popular and the pressure on Xiufeng Temple was relieved.
Otherwise, even if Xiufeng Temple scrapes off the golden body of Buddha, it will not be enough to fill the bottomless hole of these people.
Immortal Jinting sighed and said: "You are kind-hearted, but you are more human than human. What I have seen and heard along the way, I just feel that it is difficult to live in troubled times and it is disgusting."
King Shicheng shook his head and said: "It will be difficult to survive during a catastrophe."
Immortal Jinting nodded and said: "No wonder you don't have time to go to Fangshan Mountain to preach. It turns out that you were hindered by this matter."
King Shicheng's heart skipped a beat, and he looked at Immortal Jinting and asked, "Why do you deal with Fangfang Shan? I thought people like you looked down upon them."
Jinting Daxian said: "It is true that I don't like them very much, but they are so powerful that I don't have the ability to refuse them."
King Shicheng hesitated for a moment and warned: "The Wutong Gods are extraordinary, good and evil, and often act in extreme ways. If you have to deal with them, you must be careful."
Immortal Jinting suddenly laughed and said: "So if you don't go to Fangfang Mountain, it's not because you don't have time to go, but you are hiding on purpose."
King Shicheng said: "Do you have to say it like this?"
Jinting Daxian said: "I like to go straight, there is nothing I can't say."
King Shicheng snorted coldly and said: "I just don't want to go, okay. I was born in Wu County and practiced in Wu County. I have heard about what kind of person the Wutong God is."
"I practice supernatural powers but not Buddhism. I am not willing to cross by myself. How can I cross? The old lady invited me to go. What will happen if I go?"
The Great Immortal of Jinting said: "The King of Shicheng's heart is like a clear mirror. He can avoid it or avoid it. If he can't avoid it like me, he will also think of some ways to escape."
He followed the trend and asked King Shicheng about the five supernatural powers.
King Shicheng said: "Why do you suddenly ask about the five magical powers...I understand."
He didn't ask any more questions, just thought for a moment, and then said: "The word "supernatural power" is self-contained. Just like a lamp has fire, and fire has light. I have six magical powers in Buddhism, heavenly eyes, heavenly ears, other minds, fate, The six magical powers of "Ruyi" and "Outflow Absorption" are to cut off all outflows and troubles, and to rely on calmness and concentration to show the power and virtue, which can only be achieved by the saints."
"So when we talk about supernatural powers, we often talk about the five supernatural powers. And these five magical powers should not be obtained deliberately. To practice Buddhism, you need to realize yourself and others. Therefore, you need eyes to be able to observe all forms. Only by being able to hear all sounds with both ears, knowing the thoughts of living beings, knowing the fate of all living beings, and making the mind travel wherever sentient beings in the ten directions go, can these five kinds of magical powers be achieved."
"In Buddhist practice, magical powers arise by themselves. There is no need to be greedy, and you will fall into the devil's trap."
Immortal Jinting raised his eyebrows and said, "What if it's greed?"
King Shicheng said: "It's like abandoning the original to pursue the inferior. Although you may gain supernatural powers for a while, you will end up with pillars on the wall and adobe on the head of the kiln. You have fallen into the devil's trap without knowing it."
Immortal Jinting asked again: "What kind of demonic obstacle is it?"
King Shicheng hesitated and said: "Now I can only hear and hear. Although it is not an extraordinary skill, it is the right way. I don't know what kind of demonic obstacle it is."
"However, demonic obstacles vary from person to person, so it's hard to say."
King Shicheng couldn't tell, but Immortal Jinting already had a guess in his mind.
For example, King Tonghui, who has cultivated the power of destiny, often makes strategic plans, but is extremely concerned about things that cannot be seen clearly.
The Great Immortal Jin Ting secretly fought with him because King Tong Hui tried to spy on his destiny and calculate his past and future, but the Great Immortal Jin Ting used his Taoism to block him, causing him to often fail.
Isn't it the stubbornness of King Tong Hui to go back and forth these times?
The Great Immortal Jinting was deep in thought, and King Shicheng did not disturb him.
Immortal Jinting did not understand what the demonic obstacles of King Tongyou and King Tongji were, so he turned around and thanked King Shicheng.
King Shicheng just waved his hand and said: "If you really want to get rid of them and have no other way, you might as well shave your head and worship me at Xiufeng Temple. Your practice of the Moon Dharma is in line with the Dharma of Moonlight Bodhisattva. With your wisdom, In a few years, I will be able to become an abbot."
Immortal Jinting touched the white hair on his head and said, "It doesn't matter if I shave my head. I'm afraid I'll annoy them and bring trouble to Xiufeng Temple."
King Shicheng said: "No need to worry, I have a backer."
The dignified teacher and ancestor of Xiufeng Temple, a great monk who practiced Buddhism, actually said such words, and even the Jinting Immortal was amused by him.
