The carriage swayed to the foot of the mountain, and Gong Mengbi followed the girls up the mountain.
Each of them was holding a pot of orchids in their hands, even Gong Mengbi was no exception. The number of orchids corresponds to the number of girls, neither more nor less.
Gong Mengbi and Yan Chixia were not sure whether not taking them would disturb the world of reality and illusion, so they had no choice but to hold the orchids and follow the girls to worship the mountain.
The leader was undoubtedly Zhen Niang, who presided over this flower-laying ceremony.
The girls followed Zhen Niang up the mountain with great expectations, not only because of their sincerity in worshiping Buddha, but also because of the extraordinary relationship between Zen Master Sanming of Lanyin Temple and the county magistrate. If Zen Master Sanming could speak out, it might be possible to alleviate the current burden of Lanhua Township. Exorbitant taxes and levies.
The closer they come to Buddhism, the more timid they become. Because there is something to ask for, there is something to be afraid of. Zhenniang told them to be silent, so as not to talk nonsense again and disturb the purity of Buddhism.
When they arrived at the entrance of Lanyin Temple, Gong Mengbi and Yan Chixia were surprised for a moment, because the name on the temple was not Lanyin Temple, but Lanyin Temple.
Zhike Monk was originally going to receive these girls, but he accidentally glanced at Zhenniang and immediately ran away while reciting Amitabha.
The girls' originally tense mood relaxed because of this. It turned out that the monk was not a saint with no desires and desires, but also a mortal.
What appeared in front of everyone again was a very handsome monk.
His eyebrows were gentle, but his face was pale and sickly, but he was courteous and polite when receiving these girls, which made people feel good about him.
The young monk entertained them, and after learning of Zhenniang's intention, he introduced Zen Master Sanming to Zhenniang.
Only then did Zhenniang find out that this young monk was a disciple of Zen Master Sanming, and was regarded by Zen Master Sanming as the reincarnation of the Buddha.
It is true that the young monk has deep roots of wisdom and a mind of Zen. If it were not for the disease caused by his mother's womb, he should have surpassed Zen Master Sanming and become famous all over the world.
Zen Master Sanming couldn't take his eyes away when he saw Zhenniang for the first time. After he learned of Zhenniang's purpose, he agreed to her request, but there was only one request.
I hope that Zhenniang will become the flower-scattering goddess of Lanyin Temple and offer fragrant flowers to the Buddha.
Zhenniang initially disagreed, but Zen Master Sanming said, "It's better to report back to your parents and then make a decision."
Coming out of Zen Master Sanming's Zen room, facing the expectant eyes of the girls, Zhenniang told Zen Master Sanming's conditions.
These girls then said: "Serving the Buddha's Sanhua goddess, this is a matter of honoring the lintel."
"It can also reduce the taxes in the village, so promise him, Zhenniang."
Zhenniang looked at these girls and was speechless for a moment, and left Lanyin Temple in a state of confusion.
Gong Mengbi and Yan Chixia followed, but when they stepped out of Lanyin Temple, the world in front of them was spinning, and they seemed to have burst a bubble and appeared in another bubble.
The fifth world.
Gong Mengbi silently calculated in his heart.
With the light shining brightly in front of their eyes, Ning Caichen and Ma Junji followed the young monk to sweep the courtyard.
Gong Mengbi and Yan Chixia followed closely behind, one wiping dust off the wall and the other picking up fallen leaves, blending in perfectly.
Listening to the little monk chatting while working, I knew that this sweeping was to welcome the goddess of flowers.
In the end, Zhenniang became the Goddess of Sanhua, left Orchid Township, left her home, and began to practice Buddhism in Lanyin Temple.
Gong Mengbi sighed and glanced at Yan Chixia, who was also silent.
In order to avoid suspicion, Zen Master Sanming specially built Tiannv Nunnery for Zhenniang not far from Lanyin Temple, so that Zhenniang would not be disturbed by pilgrims and avoid unnecessary troubles.
So Gong Mengbi and others first worked with other monks to build Tiannv Nunnery for Zhenniang, and then became young monks who delivered meals to Zhenniang every day.
Little Master Zhenru replaced Zen Master Sanming and became Zhenniang's mentor, teaching her Buddhist scriptures and principles.
It's just that Master Zhenru has always been honest with his words. Even a woman like Zhenniang can't make him sway his heart.
Zhenniang no longer planted orchids for her own family or for Orchid Village, but started to plant orchids for Lanyin Temple and Buddha.
The orchids she planted were so beautiful that dignitaries and wealthy businessmen in the county flocked to them.
But Zen Master Sanming never forced her to plant flowers. He always pushed her if he could and refused if he could. Instead, he allowed her to cultivate Buddhism with all her heart.
Zhenniang was very puzzled and asked Zen Master Sanming. The Zen Master only said that she had a predestined relationship with the Buddha and had wisdom roots in her body.
As Zhenniang's practice became more and more advanced, the orchids she planted became rarer and more beautiful. She began to understand that she might really have wisdom and the talent to cultivate Buddhism.
Zen Master Sanming had no desire for her. Although Lanyin Temple was objectively famous because of her orchids, her orchids were even sent to the imperial capital as tribute, and they were deeply loved by the emperor. He gave her a plaque in the shade of orchids, and changed the name to orchids because of her. Lanyin became Lanyin Temple.
The little monk Zhenru became famous along with Orchid. His eloquence was unparalleled and he became a famous Buddhist disciple.
But as a Buddhist, everything is good except for one thing. Although he was good at eloquence, his illness was difficult to recover from and his practice was slow. After a sutra debate, his mind was broken. From then on, he could only rest and not go out.
Zen Master Sanming asked Zhenniang to take care of Zhenru on the grounds that the woman was attentive.
The Buddha's illness was difficult to recover from, and Zhenniang became more and more beautiful. Gradually, even the Buddha was fascinated by her.
The Buddha is moved, and the goddess is also moved. Seeing the relationship between them becoming more and more sticky day by day, Gong Mengbi and Yan Chixia finally let out a sigh of relief.
During these days, they served as monks who knew guests, swept the floor, planted flowers, and cooked rice, and finally saw the light of day.
They have seen many stories like this, where the Zen heart is shaken and hatred arises out of love.
Until one night, Fozi and Zhenniang had a showdown: "Zhenniang, go down the mountain and never come back."
Zhenniang was puzzled and asked him what he meant.
Zhenru said: "I am Sick Vimalakirti, but you are not the goddess of scattered flowers. Master has bad intentions in accepting you, and I cannot let you be harmed."
It is recorded in the Vimalakia Sutra that for example, when Vimalakirti Vimalakia used illness as a pretext to preach to the public, a goddess would scatter flowers to test the path of the Bodhisattva and his disciples. The flowers would fall to the Bodhisattva, but not to the disciples.
If you don't practice enough, your mind will be different, so the flowers in the sky will not fall. If you practice enough, there is no such thing as smallpox.
The Vimalakirti Sutra practiced in Lanyin Temple is also called the Immaculate Dharma. To practice the Immaculate Dharma, one needs to go through the process of self-existence and non-existence, that is, the process from being tainted to being untainted. The so-called dirt, the diseased body is dirt, the passion is dirt, they all need to be broken.
Zen Master Sanming enshrined Zhenniang as the Goddess of Sanhua, in order to use this as a test of the truth and make his Dharma perfect.
Zhenru knew this a long time ago, so he deliberately kept a distance from Zhenniang. Unfortunately, it was difficult to match the sincerity, and he still fell in love after all.
Now that his body is stained and sick, it is difficult to recover, and his heart is stained and he is in love with Zhenniang. It is time to break away from his knowledge and see what is and what is not.
He really didn't want to take action, but Zen Master Sanming was not so soft-hearted.
Zhenru couldn't imagine what Zen Master Sanming would do, but no matter what it was, it would not be a good thing for Zhenniang.
