Xingchan Temple is a thousand-year-old temple. It is said that it can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty of China.
It is said that the monk who established Juchan Temple once went to Baima Temple in the Tang Dynasty to study Buddhism. Later, after returning to Japan, he continued to practice in a large temple. When he was seventy years old, he came to Xingchan Temple and built a small Practice in the temple.
This small temple became the predecessor of Xingchan Temple.
Since its establishment, Xingchan Temple has had a close relationship with Zen Buddhism in China. Every few decades or hundreds of years, monks come to China to study Buddhism and communicate.
Officially speaking, this Xingchan Temple actually has a good relationship with China. Over the years, we have had a lot of exchanges with certain monasteries in China, and some Chinese monks have come here to teach Buddhism and study.
When Zhu Yu and Ran Jie quietly walked up to Xingchan Temple, they found that although it was already very late, Xingchan Temple was not quiet, it could even be said to be quite lively.
"Boss, is there something wrong with Xingchan Temple? It's already midnight, what are you still doing? It's so busy?"
Although the gate of Xingchan Temple has been closed, the candles in each hall are lit. There are monks coming in and out of a main hall, not knowing what they are doing.
The two people's ears are better than ordinary people. At this time, they can still hear the monks singing in the main hall, and they don't know what kind of ceremony they are doing.
"Boss, do you want to go over and take a look?" Ran Jie, who had already climbed over the wall, asked Zhu Yu.
"Touch over and have a look." Zhu Yu looked around. Fortunately, except for the main hall, other places were quiet. Although there were candles in front of the Buddha statue in the side hall, without the monks there, they had not had much influence in the past.
The two men quietly walked over and stopped about twenty meters away from the main hall - there were bushes here, which was more than enough for them to hide.
Zhu Yu Tianqi opened his eyes and looked into the main hall. I found monks wearing various cassocks sitting cross-legged in the main hall chanting sutras. In the main hall, in front of the statue of Tathagata Buddha, there was something wrapped in yellow cloth.
The divine eye saw through the yellow cloth and found eight small porcelain altars inside. The porcelain altars contained ashes!
Could it be the ashes of those seven war criminals?
Shouldn't it be seven? How could it be eight?
Zhu Yu was a little confused, what did this mean?
"Boss, do you want to find an opportunity to sneak in?" Ran Jie asked quietly.
"No, let's go to the back and have a look!" Zhu Yu shook his head. He was already sure that this place was absolutely inseparable from Xingya Guanyin Yuan!
"Boss, why do we come here?" The two of them walked towards the backyard. Ran Jie asked quietly when he saw no one was around.
"Because it was mentioned in the report I saw earlier," Zhu Yu explained quietly, "the Xingya Guanyin Temple was actually established with the support of a monk from Xingchan Temple.
Although Xingchan Temple later announced that the monk's ultimatum had been canceled and had nothing to do with Xingchan Temple, this was actually not the case. Xingchan Temple still has contacts with certain people and that monk.
Even after the monk passed away, his disciples took charge of Xingya Guanyin Temple, and they still had contacts with Xingya Temple secretly. "
"It's actually like this!" Ran Jie suddenly realized, "That is to say, this Xingchan Temple is obviously closely related to our Chinese Buddhism, but in fact it is doing shameful things!"
"At least that's what the report said." Zhu Yu said, "So we have to investigate - after the disappearance of Xingya Guanyin Temple, the most likely place to accept these people is here."
Zhu Yu had preconceptions and already knew some information, so he would observe more carefully and with targeted observation, and with his clairvoyance, he would naturally be able to discover more information.
If Ran Jie hadn't brought out two people to come here at night to investigate because of Zhu Yu's break, plus Zhu Yu's explanation just now, it would have been difficult to find out what was wrong.
After all, the reputation of Xingchan Temple exists there, and the fact that it is closely connected with China also exists, so it is difficult to be suspected.
This is a question of inertia of thinking.
The two people quietly passed the dividing wall between the front yard and the backyard, and entered the backyard. They found that the space here was actually much larger than the front yard, and the various buildings were much denser.
The Buddhist hall built in the front yard is relatively regular. It is based on the Chinese style. The main hall is built on the central axis, with offsets on both sides, and is very symmetrical.
The buildings built in this backyard are relatively compact.
Neither of them knew Japanese, and they only had a limited understanding of the words on the buildings - if they were mixed with Chinese characters, they could barely guess it. Otherwise, who would know the high-level words mentioned in a famous online movie called Mousha? The master's "mitarashi" is actually the bathroom?
Fortunately, Zhu Yu has a celestial eye, and he can roughly guess where it is by scanning it.
For example, the most compact sleeping place for monks, Datongpu, has very simple furnishings—simple to the point of being crude.
Then there is the kitchen and dining area, which look very ancient. Looking at these facilities here, it feels like they have been isolated from modern society. Apart from wires and lights, there are basically nothing related to modern society.
There is nothing to see in the utility room, including cleaning tools, spare supplies for the bed, kitchen facilities, spare tables and chairs, incense candles, etc.
The sundries warehouse is very large, and only about half of the items in it are filled. It can be seen that a lot of things are consumed in it every day.
These three types of buildings occupy one-third of the backyard.
Although the number of ordinary monks is the largest, the area they live in is not large. Instead, it is the place where monks with positions live. It is similar to double rooms, single rooms, suites, and in the end it is a small building for each person. .
Although it is a two-story building, it can still show the identity of its owner.
Zhu Yu guessed that the person was either a host or a supervisor, otherwise he wouldn't be able to live in such a high-end apartment.
The two of them took a look around where these people lived, and Zhu Yu could see that the closer they went to the high-end residences, the more ancient objects they could see - rare ancient paper Buddhist scriptures, bronze Buddha statues from the Yuan and Song Dynasties, and walls. Hanging on it are pictures of worshiping Buddha from the Ming and Qing Dynasties...
What caught Zhu Yu's attention the most was the two-story building. Enshrined in a small hall on the second floor was a mutton-fat jade Buddha, forty centimeters high, and a seated Buddha. The celestial eye can see that this Buddha statue should be from the Tang Dynasty!
This is awesome!
Things from the Tang Dynasty, even the tricolor unearthed from tombs, are very precious.
Not only is this jade Buddha statue very old, but its jade quality is also of the highest quality. Zhu Yu can see that this jade Buddha statue has been worshiped by countless people, and the light of faith on it is simply too dazzling!
What surprised Zhu Yu was that the person living on the second floor turned out to be a real eminent monk. From the perspective of the heavenly eye, he was at least full of Buddha nature and not a philistine commercial monk.
Did you guess wrong?
If there is really a relationship between Xingchan Temple and Xingya Guanyin Temple, it is impossible for the higher-ups not to know about it.
So, how could this eminent monk be so "clean"?
Zhu Yu looked at the other monks with doubts.
Ran Jie didn't understand why Zhu Yu was wandering around here.
But the boss has the boss's worth, he just needs to execute. So when Zhu Yu retreated to another small building, his attention was all on the surrounding environment. He would observe any movement.
When Zhu Yu came to the second small building, he found that the area inside was obviously not as large as the previous small building.
There were two such small buildings, both of which were independent houses. Zhu Yu looked at one at random.
He found that although the courtyard was not large in area, the decoration style was very modern. All kinds of electrical appliances such as air conditioners, TVs, and computers were available on the first floor.
The second floor looks a bit nondescript. There are many ancient Buddha statues and Buddhist instruments in the small hall; but in the front is a Buddha statue decorated with colored lanterns, and that Buddha statue happens to be a half-meter-tall Song Dynasty gilded statue. Gold and bronze statue.
Even the great monk's room inside was made of ancient mahogany Zen beds, but there was an eye protection lamp placed beside the bed.
The monk sleeping on the Zen bed looks kind-hearted, has a big belly, and looks like a Buddha. But when he looks at it with his heavenly eyes, he is really not an eminent monk. Instead, he is similar to those profiteers!
There is indeed a problem here!
Zhu Yu breathed a sigh of relief. At least for now, there was still a need to investigate.
Ran Jie watched Zhu Yu just look outside the courtyard for a while and then went elsewhere.
Looking at each yard like this, I frowned for a while, gritted my teeth for a while, and felt a little happy for a while. I really don’t understand.
Finally, after leaving the place where these people lived, Ran Jie couldn't help but asked in a low voice:
"Boss, have you finished reading this? What can you see?"
When Zhu Yu heard Ran Jie's question, he knew that Ran Jie had noticed the problem, secretly scolded himself for being careless, and immediately explained:
"I've finished reading it. Don't look at it. I just looked at the building. In fact, that's it. I can see the specific things."
He was running around with ideas in his mind, reluctantly rationalizing his actions:
"For example, in the single-family courtyards we looked at earlier, you can tell whether the monks at the top are real practitioners by looking at how many wires are in and out.
Do you remember that the most upscale small building had nothing outside except a wire? It seems that only electric lights are used. But those at the back not only have wires, but also air conditioners, network cables, etc.
Then these monks must have a less pure practice. Then there must be something wrong with this backyard. At least those monks were not so pure. This is inconsistent with the reputation of Xingchan Temple as a Buddhist holy place.
Now we can't alert the snake. Since we have suspicions, let's look elsewhere - although there is nothing in the utility warehouse, I think there must be something wrong with some of the remaining buildings.
Do you remember how we found those treasures in the abandoned temple in Asan's jungle? "
"Talin?" Ran Jie's eyes lit up!
"By the way." Zhu Yu said with a smile, "Not only the Tallinn, but also places like the Sutra Pavilion need to be checked."
The two men sneaked into Talin quietly. Zhu Yu was surprised to find that there were still several monks guarding Tallin.
The entire backyard is actually patrolled by monks, but there are two people specially assigned to watch here in Tallin, which is a bit interesting.
Zhu Yu and Ran Jie looked at each other and felt that they had come to the right place.
However, these two people were very alert and would walk around Tallinn from time to time without any intention of relaxing.
"Boss, should I go over and lure them away?" Ran Jie came up with an idea, "Then you go in and take a look?"
"No need." Zhu Yu shook his head and said:
"Since we got inspiration from the temple in Asan, we will use the method there."
As he spoke, he took out a small bag from his pocket, waved it in front of Ran Jie, and said:
"Although I'm not very good at learning, I should at least be able to charm these two people!"
Zhu Yu looked up and found the upper hand. Then he opened the bag and took out a handful of the flower powder and threw it up.
Ran Jie immediately held his breath, and then listened to Zhu Yu start to speak in a rather confusing voice.
The two monks smelled the smell first and were a little confused. They were looking for the source of the fragrance. Then they heard Ruo Youruo Wu's voice. Before they could react, they fell down in a daze.
Zhu Yu read a few more words, and when he saw that the two people really didn't respond, he stopped and made an "OK" gesture to Ran Jie.
Ran Jie gave a thumbs up, and then the two of them headed into Tallinn.
Tallinn was not too big, and there were street lights inside. Zhu Yu opened his eyes and looked at them one by one.
He actually saw a relic!
The earlier the stone tower is, the greater the chance of yielding relics.
The further back you go, the more luxurious the stone pagoda is built, but the chance of finding a relic becomes smaller, and in the end, there is almost no relic.
The one with seven colorful relics in the stone tower at the beginning is even more impossible.
What surprised Zhu Yu was that after looking at all the stone towers, he found nothing unusual!
He didn't give up, his eyes were full of energy, and he looked carefully again, but still couldn't see anything.
Ran Jie was also observing carefully, and even stamped his feet from time to time to hear if there was any space in the soil under his feet.
Apparently, he too was disappointed.
"Boss, is there nothing wrong here?" Returning to the original starting point, where the two monks were, Ran Jie asked Zhu Yu disappointedly.
"Yes. There is nothing unusual in this Tallinn. We need to look elsewhere. Let's go."
"What about those two?" Ran Jie asked.
"Don't worry, they will wake up in an hour."
The two people quietly left here and sneaked towards the Sutra Pavilion.
The Sutra Pavilion is a three-story wooden building, which looks a bit old.
The attic door is locked, and it's a modern fingerprint lock. It's obviously a bit difficult to get in from here.
Zhu Yu looked up and said:
"I'll go up and take a look first, and look around."
Ran Jie knew that Zhu Yu had already surpassed them in terms of skill, so he nodded, hid in the grass, and observed his surroundings.
Zhu Yu climbed up to the second floor and found that the windows here were all closed. Although they look like wooden windows, they are actually reinforced.
He climbed up to the third floor again, turned around, and found that there was a window on the third floor that was not closed very tightly.
He took out a small knife from the space, gently inserted it through the gap, and slowly lifted the latch inside.
Opening the window, Zhu Yu got in--in fact, he had already seen with his heavenly eyes that there was an underground secret room in the Scripture Pavilion.
However, after entering the third-floor Sutra Pavilion, Zhu Yu did not go down immediately. He found that there were many rare and rare books here.
These rare and rare books are not only Buddhist scriptures, but also others, such as medical books and astrology books.
Many of these books are from China during the Song Dynasty, Yuan Dynasty, Ming Dynasty and other periods.
Zhu Yu could even guess that these books were definitely not taken by the monks who came to China at that time. They were most likely snatched away by the Japanese during the invasion of the Eight-Power Allied Forces and later the Anti-Japanese War.
There are at least one hundred and ten books!
Zhu Yu was not polite at all and directly collected all these things from China.
He went to the second floor again. There were a lot of Buddhist scriptures here. Zhu Yu took a look and found that the things here were relatively less precious. He picked a few books at random, and then went to the first floor.
Many Buddhist scriptures on the first floor were printed in modern times and were of low value. Zhu Yu did not bother with them anymore, but came to a scripture rack.
The sutra frame was a disguised secret door. Zhu Yu glanced over it and found the mechanism. He pushed the sutra frame aside, revealing a secret door that was as tall as a person.
Zhu Yutian glanced at it and found that there was no mechanism inside, so he walked down.
It's not that big downstairs, just two dark rooms. One room is filled with all kinds of books. Zhu Yu took a look and found that these books were also stolen. They were all very precious, and some of them were considered lost in China.
There are no Buddhist scriptures in this book. They are all medical, divination, astrological, and analogous scriptures and annotations, as well as commentaries on Confucian classics by famous scholars of various generations.
Zhu Yu put all these things away without ceremony.
In another dark room are various Buddhist instruments. Any one of them in a Chinese auction house would cost hundreds of thousands, but here, there is a whole house full of them.
Obviously, needless to say, these things were snatched at that time.
Zhu Yu didn't keep any of them, he collected them all.
But obviously, he was not satisfied - he didn't find anything about Xingya Guanyin Temple.
Where the Blood and Earth Guanyin is is still unknown.
Zhu Yu turned around again and found that there was really no evidence, so he had to exit the dark room and left the Sutra Pavilion.
Ran Jie saw Zhu Yu coming out, revealing his figure and asked:
"Boss, how are you? Have you found anything?"
"Nothing related to Xingya Guanyin Temple was found." Zhu Yu shook his head and said, "Let's go look for it elsewhere."
Ran Jie was also a little disappointed, and the two of them continued to search in the backyard.
However, we have searched almost everything here, and although we have found two secret rooms, the things inside have nothing to do with Xingya Guanyin Temple and Blood and Earth Guanyin.
Was it a mistake?
Zhu Yu once again doubted his previous thoughts.
"Let's go and have a look in the front yard!" He thought of the eight urns that had been saved, and Zhu Yu immediately said to Ran Jie again.
Ran Jie didn't know what Zhu Yu was thinking about, but he didn't ask any more questions and hurried to the front yard with Zhu Yu.
When the two people passed by, the salvation meeting in the front yard had ended, and the monks were leaving the main hall in twos and threes and going to the backyard to rest.
Then, Zhu Yu saw a monk holding the box wrapped in yellow cloth and watching these monks leave.
There is something wrong with this monk!
