The Dutch's first trip to Nanyang was obviously a failure, but the Dutch were not discouraged. They quickly sent a second fleet to Nanyang just like in the original history. This time the fleet commander was still the same as in the original history. Van Neck.
Perhaps it was because the people from Hortmann's fleet trumpeted the power of the local fleet in Nanyang after returning, so Nek basically did not have the idea of conquering by force during this trip, but was prepared to do business honestly.
However, what Nek did not expect was that because he was not familiar with the ocean currents and wind directions, he did not reach the city of Malacca as the Portuguese said, but plunged into Lanbuli - now the place has been renamed Lingyun Mansion, and the local garrison His name was Cen Ling.
That's right, it was none other than Mr. Cen Qi from Guangxi and Prince Cen from Annan. His current official official position is Deputy Envoy of Xuanwei of the Xuanwei Department of Old Port and Guardian Envoy of Aceh, and his jurisdiction is the territory of the Kingdom of Aceh when Nanyang was pacified.
The size of the territory has not yet been determined by Jinghua, so there is no accurate data. Gao Pragmatic estimates it may be more than 50,000 square kilometers, which is basically the same size as half of Zhejiang Province. Of course, the level of development is far behind.
In later generations, Aceh was one of the two special administrative regions of the Republic of Indonesia. It is located in the westernmost part of Indonesia, at the northern tip of Sumatra Island, bordering the Strait of Malacca to the north and the Indian Ocean to the west. It covers an area of 55,390 square kilometers, approximately 3% of Indonesia's total land area. However, Indonesia in later generations did not take over the entire Nanyang Islands, so what Cen Ling currently holds accounts for about 2% of the area of the Nanyang Islands.
Later Aceh was one of the provinces with the richest natural resources in Indonesia, rich in oil, natural gas, rubber, gold mines, silver mines and timber. Among them, the natural gas plant produces about 12 million tons of liquefied natural gas every year, accounting for more than 30% of Indonesia's liquefied natural gas exports.
But it is a pity that oil and natural gas cannot be extracted now, and rubber...even the seeds have not been harvested yet. Therefore, in addition to gold and silver mines and timber, the current Aceh economy basically only consists of spices.
The premise for Cen Ling to move to Aceh was naturally that the Kingdom of Aceh was destroyed by Jinghua, but according to tradition, Jinghua’s troops must be well-known. So what was Jinghua’s reason for using troops against Aceh at that time? This will turn the time back to the time when Jinghua occupied the entire Longya Peninsula.
At that time, as news of the Spanish Armada's defeat at the hands of England spread to the Indian Peninsula in South Asia, the Portuguese Governor of Goa no longer hesitated and fully accepted the Malacca City handover agreement proposed by Huang Zhiting.
At the same time, under the chairmanship of Huang Zhiting, the two sides signed the "Trade Cooperation Agreement between Siam, Annam, Cambodia, Nanjang, Bago, Luzon and the Kingdom of Portugal", referred to as the "Seven-Country Agreement".
According to this agreement, the Kingdom of Portugal successfully obtained the commitment of the "Group of Six Nations" to allow it to preach freely. However, its so-called "protection rights" of Catholicism, because the Pope has no actual influence in the East, was also granted by the "Group of Six Nations" with high pragmatism. Group" admitted.
What was exchanged for these two sentences was Portugal's statement that it "understands and abides by the Navigation System of the Aralia Strait" and reiterated its position of "respecting the Ming Empire's inviolable suzerainty over the Southeast Asian countries and regions." It also added these two sentences The words were written into the Seven-Nation Agreement.
Then Huang Zhiting personally led the army to Malacca City. On that day, he announced on behalf of his husband Gao Pragmatic that Malacca City was renamed Aralia City, the peninsula where it was located was officially named Aralia Peninsula, and the strait it faced was officially named Aralia Strait.
The entire Aralia Peninsula was taken over by the Kingdom of Siam, but an edict from King Maha Tamaraja of Siam had been brought with the army. In the edict, it was announced that the Kingdom of Siam would set up the entire Aralia Peninsula as an "escrow territory". , is fully managed by Jinghua Group, and all political, military and other matters are decided by Jinghua itself.
Immediately afterwards, Huang Zhiting announced Gao Pragmatic's appointment certificate: Gao Ruichu was appointed as the first patrol envoy of the Dragon Ya trusteeship, and Musali was appointed as the first guarding envoy of the Dragon Ya trusteeship. The sultanates such as Johor and the city-states such as Suluoke that existed on the original Argentinian peninsula were either puppet states of Portugal or buffer states. At this moment, as Beijing's army moved south, they were all abolished and declared to be destroyed.
Due to the highly pragmatic and successful three-pronged approach of economic temptation, political coercion, and military threats by Huang Zhiting and his wife, Jinghua Group completed a feat of seizing approximately 240,000 square kilometers of territory without any bloodshed!
Dragon's teeth, dragon's teeth, dragon's teeth!
To the south of this tooth is the later Indonesian Islands, and to the west is the Indian Peninsula.
But there is a little problem here... As mentioned just now, the sultanates such as Johor and city-states such as Suluoke that existed on the former Argentine Peninsula were all abolished and declared destroyed as Beijing's army moved south. As a result, the Kingdom of Aceh suddenly became furious.
Some people may ask, the Kingdom of Aceh is in the north of Sumatra, and the Argentinian Peninsula is separated from it by the Argentine Strait. No matter how things develop on the peninsula, they seem to have nothing to do with Aceh. Why is it so angry?
There is some historical reason here: around the end of the 13th century, Indian, Persian and Arab merchants sent their ships to Lanwuli (Lanwuli) in the northwest of Sumatra Island. From then on, an Arab religion began to be introduced into Southeast Asia, and the Aceh people settled there. It has become the "Mecca Corridor" of Southeast Asia.
In 1500, Ali Muhaya Shah from Aceh proclaimed himself the sultan and formally established the religious monarchy of Aceh. He respected Sunni teachings, implemented a religious system, and governed the country by certain scriptures and hadiths.
Subsequently, Aceh conquered Pidi and Subunta, and monopolized the commercial area of northern Sumatra. Therefore, Aceh became a certain religious center and commercial trade area in Southeast Asia.
By 1521, Aceh began to launch a series of "holy wars" to drive away the Portuguese colonists and monopolize the pepper producing areas. In 1537, Aceh began to attack the Portuguese-controlled Malacca.
When Alauddin Riayet Shah came to power, Aceh continued to expand externally, developed maritime trade, built a fleet, defeated the invasion of Portuguese colonists many times, and successively suppressed Aru and Johor.
In 1547, Aceh launched a fierce offensive against the Portuguese and defeated them. In 1564, Aceh attacked the Kingdom of Johor, captured the Sultan of the Kingdom of Johor, and destroyed the city of Johor.
In 1568, Aceh attacked Malacca, but this time they suffered a disastrous defeat. In 1569, Aceh, unwilling to fail, planned to raid the city of Malacca. However, times were changing and the Portuguese warships and armaments at this time were no longer what they used to be.
During this battle, the Acehnese fleet, which was said to have as many as 200 ships, besieged a Portuguese carrack and refused to surrender. It suffered a huge loss of face and morale. In the end, Aceh was forced to abandon the raid plan due to its lack of strength.
After learning from the painful experience, during the administration of Inskandar Muda, Aceh's national power reached its peak, and he once again struggled with the Portuguese and repeatedly attacked the city of Malacca occupied by Portuguese colonists.
Although it failed to capture Malacca, it did conquer Pahang Island, Kedah Island, Perak Island, Nias Island and Indarapura near Malacca. Therefore, in addition to North Sumatra, its territory also occupied the Malay Peninsula. some areas until Beijing's army moved south from Siam. (Note: But in the original history, Aceh could survive for a long time.)
In other words, there are a few things worth noting here:
First, Aceh and Portugal are old enemies. The two sides have been fighting for almost eighty years, and their relationship can be described as irreconcilable. Second, the Kingdom of Aceh is almost at its peak at this time, and it can even take over the surrounding areas of Malacca. Some areas... This leads to the third and fourth points.
Third, when Jinghua took over these areas, it was based on the area's attributes as a Portuguese colony, because from a certain "contractual legal theory", Aceh did not reach a peace treaty with Portugal when it occupied these areas, and before that When Portugal took these places, it forced its opponents to sign and pledge them.
As a result, Jinghua took over these areas through an agreement with Portugal, which made perfect sense from Jinghua's point of view, but from Aceh's point of view, it was considered that Jinghua had invaded them.
Fourth, the agreement reached between Beijing and Portugal not only exchanged navigation for territory, but also included a trade agreement. For example, the Agreement stipulates that the contracting parties are each other's most-favored nation for trade, and tariffs and customs duties are maintained between 5% and 15% in accordance with detailed agreements, with the highest tax rate of 15% being limited to luxury goods tariffs.
Considering that the "Group of Six" is actually just making white gloves for Jinghua, silk and porcelain from the Ming Dynasty still account for a considerable share of Jinghua's goods.
Both types of products are classified as luxury goods, so Portugal theoretically benefits more. Therefore, the two parties also agreed that the Kingdom of Portugal would open its strongholds in India to allow Jinghua ships to use them, and all rights during use would be in accordance with the Kingdom of Portugal's Domestic ships are counted.
This means that through this agreement, the relationship between Beijing and Portugal, which was originally tense and could break out at any time, suddenly made a U-turn and became trading partners, turning enemies into friends.
Of course, from the perspective of hindsight, part of the reason why Portugal gave in was that they had too many opponents in Southeast Asia, Aceh being an example. However, even Gao Zhiting, who was always cautious, didn't take this seriously, and Huang Zhiting didn't care even more.
As mentioned earlier, Aceh and Portugal are old enemies. Since Jinghua and Portugal turned enemies into friends, based on the simple principle that the friend of an enemy is an enemy, Aceh naturally believed that Jinghua was their enemy.
As a result, the whole country in Aceh began to actively want to have a try with Jinghua. Of course, Aceh also knows that since Jinghua can force Portugal to voluntarily give up the city of Malacca, which they regard as a key place, it is obviously that the strength behind it is strong enough, and Aceh alone may not be an opponent.
As a result, the Kingdom of Aceh began to actively contact its allies, hoping to form an anti-Jinghua alliance, and then fight to the death with Jinghua.
Unfortunately, this plan could not be realized, or the implementation process seriously deviated from expectations. When the Nanyang Fleet intervened in Manchuria and other countries on the pretext of restoring the old port of Xuanwei Division, Aceh thought that an opportunity had come and unilaterally announced an alliance with Manchuria.
There is no doubt that this is a life-threatening decision, so much so that the Nanyang Fleet was overjoyed after learning the news - someone actually sent pillows as soon as they fell asleep. In their view, Aceh's decision was simply a door-to-door meal delivery, which was wonderful. Word.
Therefore, the natural follow-up was the armed parade in Jinghua, and there was really nothing to say about the fighting process.
The reason why Aceh can confront Portugal is actually its manpower advantage, because Portugal is very short of manpower and has only a population of more than one million people in the country. How many soldiers can it have in its colonies? Malacca is such a large city and its status is of vital importance, but there are only more than 600 serious Portuguese troops in the city.
There are more than 600 European third-rate army, plus several thousand servants. With this power, the Kingdom of Aceh, with a population of nearly one million, can really fight with manpower.
However, when it was Jinghua's turn to end the game in person, the situation was completely different. The Kingdom of Aceh not only has no advantages in equipment, training, tactics, and organization, it even has no advantage in military strength.
However, at this time, the Nanyang Fleet still found another excuse, brazenly sending troops on the grounds that the Kingdom of Aceh supported the pirate forces to rob the merchant ships of the Ming Dynasty, and easily annihilated the main force of the Kingdom of Aceh's navy.
Then, the Nanyang Fleet ignored the fact that the Kingdom of Aceh had sent envoys to Dingnan City to ask for Huang Zhiting, and took advantage of the fact that Dingnan City had not yet issued any instructions, dispatched two Marines and directly arrived at the capital of the Kingdom of Aceh.
Because the troops were dispatched too quickly this time, it was a magic weapon descending from the sky, and the top brass of the Aceh Kingdom were wiped out in one fell swoop. Just when the top brass of the Kingdom of Aceh fantasized that the ruling structures of the kingdoms in southern Xinjiang would basically be retained, and that their own side would be treated in the same way by Jinghua, bad news came.
It turned out that Huang Zhiting had known about the plan of the Nanyang Fleet, so he delayed summoning the envoys of the Kingdom of Aceh in Dingnan City. It was not until the capital was occupied that he finally ordered the Nanyang Fleet to "restore the Ming Dynasty Old Port Xuanwei Division" on Sumatra Island.
Naturally, Huang Zhiting did not do this on her own initiative, but Gao Pragmatic had already given instructions, so she soon presided over the reconstruction of the Xuanwei Department of Old Port, and appointed a "descendant of Shi Jinqing" named Shi Xiwen as " Quan Xuan comfort envoy", that is, acting Xuan comfort envoy. At the same time, Huang Zhiting reported to the Ming Dynasty, requesting confirmation of the appointment.
All in all, Jinghua's use of troops in many small countries in Southeast Asia is purely a dimensionality reduction attack. The performance of the so-called regular armies of various countries is not worth mentioning. To use a later Tongliao famous saying to describe it: as long as they are of some use, they are not useless at all.
Huang Zhiting's appointment quickly aroused discussion in the capital. At that time, it was the critical moment when Li Rusong sent troops to Pyongyang and Liu Wei mobilized his troops to surround Bozhou. Although the imperial court, especially the emperor, was happy about the news from southern Xinjiang that the Old Port Xuanwei Division had been rebuilt, it was obviously not possible to really pay much attention to it.
You know, at that time, Gao Pragmatic had just defeated Can Yuan and drove Chahar to the Western Regions. In addition to dealing with the Korean and Bozhou wars and sending Qi Jiguang to deter the Jiangnan Cao Army rebellion, the Ming Dynasty also had to rearrange the defense system of the entire northern border. Therefore, he was only emotionally excited about the reconstruction of the Xuanwei Division in the old port thousands of miles away. There is no incentive to get involved personally.
As a result, Huang Zhiting quickly received a reply from the Ming court, which clearly recognized the legality of the reconstruction of the Xuanwei Department in Old Port in the form of an imperial edict. He formally appointed "Shi Xiwen, a descendant of Shi Jinqing, the original Xuanwei Envoy of the Xuanwei Department in Old Port, as the Xuanwei Envoy." At the same time, he clearly announced : In view of the newly built Xuanwei Department, it is temporarily under the jurisdiction of the Annan Metropolitan Envoy Department.
At about the same time, Annan's commander-in-chief Mo Maoqia attempted a rebellion, and Cen Ling and Mo Yulin made great contributions in countering the rebellion. Mo Maoqia was sentenced to death by Zhu Yijun for the crime of "intending to rebel", but according to the custom of the Ming Dynasty, his son Mo Quan was still appointed as the new commander-in-chief.
At this point, Annan has been completely Chineseized, and Cen Ling, Mo Yulin and others have also passed the final test. Then an interesting scene happened. Since Annan was ordered by the Ming Dynasty to take charge of the Old Port Xuanwei Department, Huang Zhiting, as the deputy governor of Annan, recommended Cen Ling to be the deputy secretary of the Old Port Xuanwei Department, and recommended Mo Yulin as the old port garrison envoy. .
The imperial court quickly wrote a reply confirming this recommendation, and Cen Ling promptly submitted a request to move the Cen family to Jiugang, thinking it would be the southern corner of Ming Dynasty Yongzhen. Zhu Yijun appreciated this very much and personally talked to Gao Pragmatic, and then ordered that a large area of Lanwuli be designated as the land of Cen's chieftain Yongzhen.
The area given to the Cen family by Zhu Yijun is actually the northern part of Sumatra, covering an area of about 150,000 square kilometers (the entire Sumatra island is 470,000 square kilometers). Lanbuli itself was the former capital of the Kingdom of Aceh.
Of course, there are many branches of the Cen family chieftain, and not all of these 150,000 square kilometers are controlled by Cen Ling himself. They have to be divided among the whole clan according to their closeness and merit. So in the end, Cen Ling directly led the area, which was about 50,000 square kilometers as mentioned earlier, which was almost one-third of the general area.
As the chieftains follow Gao Pragmatism for a longer period of time, the current chieftains not only change their armed forces, but also their thoughts. In the past, the chieftains gave the impression that they were closed and self-protective, but now these chieftains are as fond of trade as each other.
For example, the Huang family, the direct leader of Huang Zhiting's Annam Haidong Mansion, not only built one of the largest coal mines in southern Xinjiang [Note: this is also the largest coal mine in Vietnam in later generations, with an annual output of 18 million tons], and also actively developed trade. The timber, cinnamon, star anise, panax notoginseng, fishery fishing and breeding industries and trade are all flourishing.
Huang Zhiting's development model can obviously be copied. First of all, the Huang family actively studies within the family and follows this line of thinking. As a result, some started aquaculture, some started forest processing, and some started fishing at sea. Some people feel that they are not good at doing business, so they bought some original stocks of Jinghua's new factories and entered the era of making money early...
The Huang family became rich from this, and other chieftains with other surnames naturally followed suit. Take the Cen family as an example. When they moved to town, they were mainly assigned to some places in the northwest of Annan. This area is not close to the sea and can only rely on the mountains to make a living.
As a result, mining became the main focus of the Cen family at that time, supplemented by pottery (not porcelain) and wood processing. Before Cen Ling and the Cen family moved south to Sumatra, the Cen family had become the third largest copper ore supplier, the fourth largest iron ore supplier, and the sixth largest supplier of marine timber in the southern Xinjiang region of Beijing. Not to mention making a lot of money, at least my life in my childhood has been satisfying enough.
After the Cen family moved to town, the above-mentioned properties would not be recovered in vain. Jinghua made some transactions with the Cen family. The process was very detailed and complicated, so I will not list it in detail. In short, the Cen family handed over the controlling stake, but still received a lot of profits from it every year.
After the Cen family had completed the leap in thinking, they immediately began economic reforms after arriving in Aceh.
As mentioned before, Aceh was rich in oil, natural gas, gold and silver mines, rubber, spices and timber in later generations. Among them, oil, natural gas and rubber need not be thought of for the time being, but gold and silver mines, spices and timber are all projects that the Cen family can manage well. .
Especially gold and silver mines and timber, one is mining, the other is forestry processing, both are the Cen family's "old trades". They don't need too much training, they can start working wherever they find a place, and they will naturally develop well.
Therefore, Cen Ling’s main focus is on spices. Spices are different from plant leaves and herbs. They are parts obtained from the bark, roots, buds, gums and resins, seeds, fruits or stigmas of plants. They are highly volatile compounds with rare oleoresins and oil bodies. Therefore, the spice industry is not just as simple as picking fruits, there are still some technical aspects involved.
From another perspective, the spice trade is not only done with Europeans, Arabs and Indians are also big customers. Of course, the biggest customer is far away and right in front of you - in fact, it is the Ming Dynasty.
If Columbus's voyage started the West's exploration of Eastern spices, then the Asian spice trade had already started an internal cycle thousands of years before the Great Discovery.
China has been importing spices from South China Sea countries since the Han Dynasty. It reached its peak during the Song and Yuan Dynasties and continued into the Ming and Qing Dynasties. However, the word "spice" did not appear until the Southern Song Dynasty.
Before that, and in the years that followed, Chinese classics classified fragrant South Sea imported plants such as agarwood, frankincense, cloves, nutmeg, and pepper into the category of "fragrant medicines."
In fact, this is not unrelated to the medicinal value of spices. Before the Song and Yuan Dynasties, these spices imported from Southeast Asia were mostly used for medicinal purposes. It was not until the Song and Yuan dynasties that records of the use of aromatic herbs in food gradually increased. It was not until the middle of the Ming Dynasty that pepper, sappan wood, cloves, sandalwood, cardamom and other aromatic herbs quickly filled the daily diet as condiments.
Therefore, later scholars have shown that the meanings of "spice" and "flavor medicine" basically overlap. The slight difference may be that "spice" mostly has a seasoning function, while "flavor medicine" focuses more on medicinal value. Therefore, the spice trade in ancient China included two major categories: "spice" and "fragrant medicine".
China itself lacks spice resources and relies on trade with Southeast Asian countries. Among the spices and fragrances, cloves, nutmeg, pepper, sandalwood and dipterocarp were all produced in the ancient Nanyang region.
Among them, cloves and nutmeg grew only on certain islands in the South Seas even before the seventeenth century. For example, cloves are harvested from the clove tree, which grows only in the Moluccas; nutmeg and nutmeg bark are harvested from the nutmeg tree, which grows in the Banda Islands. Therefore, cloves and nutmeg are extremely rare.
In comparison, pepper, sandalwood and dipterocarp are more common. Both Sumatra and Java have pepper production centers, with as many as 25 production areas. Sandalwood and dipterocarp, now known as natural borneol, are produced in Sumatra and Kalimantan.
According to records in ancient Chinese books, there are even more varieties of spices produced in ancient Southeast Asia.
"Zhufan Zhi" written by Zhao Rushi of the Song Dynasty records that the three Buddhas "are produced by the land, such as tortoise, brain, Chensu temporary incense, coarse ripe incense, Jiangzhen incense, clove, sandalwood, and cardamom";
The Kingdom of Jhapo “produces ivory, rhinoceros horn, pearls, borneol, tortoiseshell, sandalwood, fennel, cloves, beans, pepper, pepper, betel nut, sulfur, safflower, and hematoxylin.” , white parrot..."
By the Ming Dynasty, there were many records of spices produced in ancient Indonesia. Among them, the "Western Tribute Code" records, "(Srivijaya) its soil contains many yellow incense, yellow wax, fall incense, and agarwood."
"Yingya Shenglan" records that Java's "native products are sappan wood, diamond seeds, white sandalwood, nutmeg, long pepper, spotted cat, iron, turtle tube, and tortoise"; Old Port is "native to crane-crowned birds and yellow incense. , true incense, agarwood, gold and silver incense, yellow wax and the like."
Ancient business was relatively simple, and demand often created the market, while modern business has a very interesting approach, which is called creating demand and opening up the market.
As mentioned earlier in this book, the tribute trade in the early years of the Ming Dynasty caused complaints from officials and people all over the world due to the royal family's monopoly. Since then, with the maritime ban, the domestic "demand" for spices in the Ming Dynasty has shrunk sharply. This shrinkage is actually not a shrinking of demand at its root, but rather the fact that people have to give up because entry is not allowed.
With Gao Gong opening up the sea and Gao pragmatism expanding trade, the Ming Dynasty's folk demand for spices has rebounded rapidly in recent years. However, Gao Pragmatism especially felt that this was not enough, because he knew that the Ming Dynasty had an obvious problem: the government was poor but the people were rich. In fact, the people had the basis to "boost consumption."
Therefore, Jinghua has tried every means to expand the sales of spices in the Ming Dynasty over the years, including from time to time the dimensionality reduction attack on the business model such as "monthly half-price days". As a result, the spice market expanded day by day in Ming Dynasty.
This has created a good "dividend of the times" for Cen Ling. Although Sumatra does not have the rarest cloves and nutmeg, it can be said to have sufficient production capacity for pepper, sandalwood, and dipterocarp.
Therefore, under Cen Ling's personal concern, Aceh's spice industry flourished, not only significantly expanding exports to the Ming Dynasty, but also marketing to India and Arabia due to geographical advantages, and even the Spanish and Portuguese were his big customers.
Cen's Toast, which was still trying to be self-sufficient twenty years ago, has now become a beneficiary of "economic globalization." This has made Aceh, whose food production will not increase for a while, attach great importance to the spice trade.
Since the shipping destination of the spice trade is the Nanyang Islands, of course, we have to pay attention to the ships and fleets coming and going. However, the shipbuilding industry in various Nanyang islands was very limited, and Cen Ling did not dare to get involved in this main industry where Jinghua was founded, so he had to ask the Nanyang Fleet to specially arrange a squadron in Aceh as a maritime security force.
The Nek Fleet sent by the Dutch to the Southeast Asia for the second time encountered an interception by the Aceh Squadron of the Southeast Asia Fleet this time.
To say that interception is actually a bit too much, because the Aceh Squadron was just doing a routine inspection at the time, and they thought they were Spanish. Before the Dutch Revolution, the Netherlands and Spain were one after all, so at this time the Dutch fleet came from some Judging from the details, it still has a strong Spanish style.
After this inspection, it was discovered that the visitors were not Spaniards, but a Dutch fleet from a small country that claimed to have "difficult independence from Spain's cruel rule", and their purpose was simple: to buy pepper.
However, the simple purpose does not mean that it can be released casually, because there is an article in the previous agreement: Jinghua will grant the spice trade privileges between southern Xinjiang and Europe to the Kingdom of Castile (a Spanish subject and exclusive overseas operating rights) and Portugal. The kingdom does not trade directly with other European countries.
What Huang Zhiting just approved was the accident reported by the Nanyang Fleet. The reason why Gao Pragmatic immediately made the decision to detain was also due to this.
So here comes the question. It is said that there are no permanent friends between countries, only eternal interests. So why is Gao Pragmatic so trustworthy?
The reason is simple, because time has changed and Gao Wuchen now plans to help a group of Spaniards.
