According to the introduction in the Five Talisman Sutra, the first condition for drawing a Taoist Talisman of the Immortal Grade is that a practitioner who has reached the Nascent Soul Realm can do it.
Well, regarding this condition, Shu Guan has no problem.
Although his Nascent Soul realm is very watery, and his spiritual power is only as strong as that of a practitioner in the middle to late stages of fetal movement, at least he really has a Nascent Soul.
The second condition is to have profound knowledge in the art of making talismans.
One must not only be able to understand the mysterious meaning contained in an immortal talisman, but also have the ability to accurately draw those extremely complex talismans.
These are actually two conditions.
However, these two conditions do not pose any problems to Shu Guan.
When he practices any Taoism, he never bothers to understand the meaning of Taoism. As long as he wants to know it, he can learn it. This is probably the most important skill that the old cripple taught him.
And with Xiaoyi's help, it is not easy to draw the runes accurately.
So what made Shuguan sigh was the third condition for drawing the immortal talisman.
In simple terms, this third condition can be summed up in two words: materials.
To draw an immortal talisman, the material requirements are too stringent and cannot be accomplished by the talisman-making materials Shu Guan originally used.
For example, the talisman pens required to draw immortal talismans must be at least high-grade magic weapon-level talisman pens, and this is only the minimum requirement. The higher the grade of the talisman pens you use, the more powerful the immortal talisman you draw will naturally be.
The same is true for talisman paper. Ordinary talisman paper cannot bear the power contained in an immortal talisman at all. Talisman paper must also reach the level of high-grade magical instruments to carry the power of the immortal talisman.
And if you can find some talisman paper made of special materials, such as ten thousand-year-old silk, or use the leaves of certain spiritual trees as talisman paper, then the success rate and power of drawing immortal talismans will also be greatly increased.
And this is only the minimum requirement for drawing fairy talismans.
Each of the five kinds of immortal talismans in the Five Talisman Scripture has its own special requirements for materials.
For example, the Huangliang Yimeng Talisman requires, in addition to the high-grade magic weapon-level talisman pen and talisman paper, it also requires a century-old cinnabar mixed with ink to be drawn.
Centennial cinnabar is not something that can be obtained casually.
The Huangliang Yimeng Talisman's material requirements are the lowest among the Five Immortal Talismans.
For example, the exorcism talisman needs to be drawn with the blood of a spiritual bird that has lived for at least a thousand years, and the spiritual bird must also be born with the power to ward off evil.
It would have been okay in the past, but in today's era, where should we go to find spiritual birds that have lived for thousands of years?
There may be more. After all, the legendary dragon clan that has long been extinct still has a single seedling like Ao Tian.
But it must be extremely rare. At least Shu Guan couldn't think of where he could get the blood of this thousand-year-old spiritual bird.
Without the blood of the thousand-year-old spiritual bird, this exorcism talisman is just like the divine talisman. There is no way to draw it, but it is useless.
Similarly, the Golden Gang amulet also requires some very special materials, and it requires more than the exorcism amulet.
The material requirement for the Jin Gang amulet is to use the powder of the scales of dragons, unicorns, Xuanwu and other fairy animals, mixed with the sap of a kind of iron sandalwood tree to write and draw.
When Shu watched the material requirements for the Golden Gang amulet, he felt happy at first. He did have a dragon, but the iron sandalwood tree, and it had to be the sap of a ten thousand-year iron sandalwood tree, where should he get it?
The one with the most stringent material requirements is the Dayue Talisman.
The Dayue Talisman can only be drawn on the jade Ruyi, and it must be made with gold essence powder, mixed with the blood of the great demon in the fairyland, and ordinary cinnabar cannot be used. Neither hundred-year-old nor thousand-year-old cinnabar will work. It must be a kind of Only the cinnabar called dark true sand will do.
Shu Guan knew about the Golden Spirit. When he was studying at Shan Si Guan, he had seen an introduction to this thing in the books in the Daozang Pavilion.
Gold essence is not ordinary gold, but the purest essence condensed in mineral veins. It is often only as small as a fingernail, and not every mineral vein can condense gold essence. You have to find it. This kind of stuff is very difficult.
Therefore, even in the past when the Dao was prosperous, gold essence was an extremely rare material for refining weapons and making talismans.
But compared to the golden spirit, what is more difficult to obtain is probably the blood of the fairyland demon.
The demon clan in this era is already extremely rare, let alone the great demons in the fairyland.
However, Shu Guan knew where to find the Great Demon of Fairyland. On the banks of the Jingcheng River, there were two people sleeping, but Shu Guan would never dare to go to those two people to ask for their blood. Although he said that he was Those two still have life-saving grace.
As for dark true sand, Shu Guan had never heard of it.
So after carefully reading the entire Five Talisman Scripture, Shu Guan sighed deeply.
However, he did not despair, thinking whether it was time to attend a secret order gathering.
As a senior member of the Esoteric Order, Shu Guan remembered that it had been a long time since he had been to the Beiming. He remembered that in the room on the third floor of the Beiming, when he was looking at the list of supplies that only senior members could purchase, he seemed to see A talisman paper and pen that exceeds the level of a high-grade magic weapon.
Although the things sold by the Esoteric Order are extremely expensive, Shu Guan is not short of money now. In the past six months, he has been collecting fortune-telling fortunes and fortune-telling fortunes in Shanghai, which has accumulated to an extremely huge sum. After all, his guests are basically wealthy businessmen, gentry, and dignitaries from Shanghai's upper class.
What's more, if he doesn't have enough money, he still has Rong Duanfu, the richest man in the Republic of China, behind him.
Now Shu Guan has no psychological burden at all about using his father-in-law's money. After all, his fate and that of the Rong family have long been closely linked.
If it weren't for his Shu Guan's presence, just the game with Qianmen Bajiang last time would have been enough to bankrupt the Rong family.
I looked at the calendar on the table and saw that tomorrow happened to be the 22nd, which was the day of the Secret Order gathering.
Then tomorrow we will take a look at the Beiming. The materials that can be purchased will be bought from the Secret Order. If the Secret Order does not have them, then you can try your luck at the trade fair.
Shuguan put the Five Talisman Scripture on the table, then got up and went to the courtyard behind the house.
He stood with his feet slightly wider than his shoulders, then raised his head and looked up at the night sky.
There are stars in the night sky.
Shu Guan stared at the stars, thinking that the stars in this world were indeed different from the stars in his original world.
The visible stars in my original world were actually masses of plasma emitting huge amounts of light and heat, while the stars in this world were real stars, just like the stars I fantasized about when I was a child in my previous life.
They were huge spheres suspended in the sky that would emit light at night, and they were not far from the ground, only about a hundred thousand meters away.
What is the power that allows these stars, and the previous heaven, to be suspended in the sky?
The former heaven was built somewhere above this sea of stars.
The nature of this world is, after all, completely different from the nature of my original world.
Shu Guan thought so.
So why does this world have the power of technology? This technological system seems to be no different from the world he traveled to.
At this time, he looked up at the night sky, looked at the stars, and pondered this question that had puzzled him in the past few years.
The technological power of the mortal world today cannot yet create an aircraft that can fly close to those stars.
But looking at the speed of technological development in this world, I'm afraid it won't be too long before mortals will be able to create the kind of aircraft that can fly directly to the stars.
So suppose that if Heaven is not destroyed, then one day, mortals will fly to the stars in their own spacecraft, find Heaven, and discover that there are actually gods in this world.
What kind of scene is that?
If Heaven still existed, would it allow this to happen?
Heaven has always chosen to separate from the human world. Didn't they expect that one day mortals would discover their existence?
The more Shu Guan understands the world, the more he discovers that there are many paradoxical mysteries in this world that are puzzling.
Then, Shuguan slowly raised his arms, opened his palms, and made a grasping motion.
Looking at him, it seemed as if he wanted to hold the stars in the sky in his hands.
Of course, he couldn't really hold the stars in his hands, even though those stars were concrete large rocks.
So after Shu Guan grabbed a handful towards the night sky, he lowered his arms, as if it was just a childlike playful action.
Then Shuguan closed his eyes, his hands dropped to his sides, and he breathed slowly and steadily.
After about ten minutes, Shu Guan opened his eyes, then he raised his arms again and stretched his palms towards the night sky.
Again and again.
The look on his face at this moment was extremely serious and focused, as if he really thought he could catch the stars in the sky.
Shu Guan stretched out his palms faster and faster, and gradually his arms were nothing but shadows.
And above the sky, there were faint starlights visible to the naked eye, falling in the courtyard and between Shu Guan's palms.
Reach for the stars!
In the underground palace under Jinling's Zhongshan Mountain, the senior brother used the method of instilling spirits to leave a lot of things in Shu Guan's mind, including his past combat experience, but there were more things that had not been taught to Shu Guan in time. Watch the fighting method.
The Star Reaching Technique was a combat technique that Shu Guan thought was more suitable for his current practice after sifting through those fighting techniques.
According to the memory left by his senior brother in his mind, this star-picking technique can really pick stars from the sky when it is perfected.
He had even seen such scenes in the battle scenes left behind by his senior brother.
The eldest brother and his opponent picked off stars one by one and threw them at each other like weapons.
It was truly a world-shaking battle.
It's just that this kind of power level battle can no longer happen in today's era. The senior brother may no longer be able to reach the stars with one hand.
Shu Guan doesn't think he can practice to the point where he can really pick off the stars. These fighting techniques are not Taoism. He cannot reproduce their original power, but can only practice slowly step by step.
However, if you can't pick the stars, you should be able to pick some magic weapons and resist some attacks.
This is also the reason why Shu Guanxian chose to practice this fighting method.
In fact, after the Star Reaching Technique, there is another fighting method called the Moon Reaching Technique.
Reaching for the stars and grabbing the moon, this is the complete name of this fighting technique.
That night, Shu Guan practiced the art of picking stars until dawn.
In fact, he himself is quite interested in continuing to practice. The problem is that when it gets dark, the stars are no longer visible.
Shu Guan could only give up.
It seems that this is still a fighting tactic that can only be practiced together at night.
…
On this night, Shu Guan did not continue to practice the Star Reaching Technique.
Because today is the 22nd, the day when the Secret Order gathers.
At 8:50 in the evening, Shu Guan's figure appeared at the North Bund Pier.
He was wearing a very ordinary casual suit, and his face had turned into a very ordinary young man. Looking at the white ship parked at the pier, he couldn't help but feel a sense of long absence.
Indeed, it has been a long time since I attended a secret order gathering.
Then Shu Guan put on a mask on himself, touched the secret order membership badge on his chest, and walked towards the white ship on the pier.
As for why he had to put on a mask after using the shape-shifting technique to change his appearance, it was because Shu Guan had forgotten what he looked like last time he attended a secret religious gathering.
If another appearance appears today, and the top fifteen members of the Secret Order can distinguish the membership badge number on each person, it will be equivalent to revealing to them that he has the ability to perfectly change his appearance.
This is one of Shuguan's secrets. Maintaining the mystery of Yanzi's identity relies entirely on the art of shape-changing.
Walking to the Bei Ming, the handsome and elegant captain stood in front of the gangway and looked at everyone as before. Members board the Beiming.
When Shu Guan came over, the captain, whose membership number was No. 15, glanced at Shu Guan, smiled and said:
"You haven't been here for a long time."
Sure enough, he could tell his membership badge number at a glance, and he could still remember the last time he came. It seemed that the captain had a pretty good memory.
"There's a lot going on during this time."
Shu Guan nodded to him through the mask and said with a smile.
The captain waved his hand and motioned for him to board the ship.
After boarding the Beiming, we walked into the splendid hall. The hall was crowded with people and was as lively as ever.
The ups and downs in Shencheng's spiritual practice community in the past two months did not seem to affect everyone's enthusiasm for participating in this esoteric religious gathering.
Shu Guan's gaze swept around the hall.
He saw a familiar man wearing a pig head mask, dancing with his female partner on the dance floor.
That was Mr. No. 7 of the Secret Order.
Could it be that Mr. No. 7 is hosting tonight's trade fair again?
Shu Guan guessed this, and then turned his eyes to the bar counter.
I saw Sister Jasmine, just like before, sitting alone at the bar drinking wine, her loneliness was extremely touching.
Shu Guan did not walk towards the bar this time, but towards the spiral staircase.
As he walked up the stairs, Shu Guan kept thinking about one thing. The storm caused by the collapse of the Tantai family did not seem to affect the secret order.
But this storm that affected the entire Shencheng cultivation world seemed to have little impact on the two forces.
One is the extremely mysterious Dajiangtang.
The other one is this secret cult!
Although the Secret Order does not admit that it is a cultivator force, Shu Guan feels that the top fifteen members are definitely a cultivator force, and it is a very powerful cultivator force.
But in what capacity do the top fifteen members of this secret order usually live in Shanghai?
For example, Sister Jasmine, who is sitting at the bar drinking alone at this moment, what is her status in Shanghai?
You must know that he is a Nascent Soul Power, and there are only a few Nascent Soul Powers in the entire Shen City?
But I have never heard of such a person in Shanghai before. It seems that as soon as I leave the Beiming, this sister Jasmine does not exist.
Like Mr. No. 5 Yu Shiqi, Mr. No. 5 did not hide his name and true appearance, but no one in Shanghai seemed to know who this person was.
Except for coming to host the trade fair on the Beiming, there seems to be no such person in the Shencheng cultivation world.
Therefore, the identities of the top fifteen members of these secret cults are no less mysterious than that of Dajiangtang.
When walking up to the third floor, these doubts lingered in Shu Guan's mind.
He walked to the second room, raised his hand and knocked on the door, only to hear an older but still elegant woman's voice coming from inside.
"Please come in."
So Shu Guan opened the door and walked in.
In the center of the room filled with large iron cabinets, Ms. No. 3, with a misty face, was sitting there.
"Hello, Ms. Three!"
Shu Guan said hello.
"Member No. 807, you haven't been here for almost five months."
Under the mist, the elegant voice of Lady No. 3 came out.
Shu Guan, who was under the mask, just smiled bitterly, thinking that luckily he was wearing a mask today.
"What do you want to buy this time?"
No. 3 said nothing more and directly asked Shu Guan's purpose.
Shu Guan took out a piece of paper directly from his arms, placed it in front of Ms. No. 3 and said:
"I have a list here. As long as there is something in the meeting, I want to buy some."
He remembered that Ms. No. 3 had an amazing memory and seemed to be able to remember everything in the iron cabinet in the room.
Ms. No. 3 picked up the list and lowered her head. After a few seconds, she raised her head. Shu Guan felt that there seemed to be a rather surprised gaze looking at her under the mist.
"Are you a Talisman Maker? No, I remember that you just bought an entry-level Talisman Making Book here. If you were a Talisman Maker originally, you wouldn't need that entry-level Talisman Making Technique at all. .”
There was considerable surprise in Ms. No. 3's voice.
...It's troublesome to deal with people with such good memories...
Shu Guan muttered in his heart, and then said in a casual tone:
"I bought it for a friend."
Lady No. 3 hummed slightly and looked at the list in her hand again.
"Ms. No. 3, how many of the things on this list can I buy?"
Shu Guan asked quite expectantly.
