After brewing a pot of tea, Qingfeng and his party had already gone down the mountain. Only Gong Yangbo and Li Xiuyuan were left in the living room.
The old man sighed quietly and said, "Everything is God's will."
Li Xiuyuan was startled when he heard this, thought for a while and asked: "Isn't all this your arrangement? How could it be God's will?"
"I wanted to arrange it this way, but before I went to find Old Man Meng, he had already smelled the spiritual energy on the mountain."
The old man smiled bitterly and said: "On the first day, Old Man Meng originally wanted to see the scenery at the bottom of the mountain, but he didn't expect to encounter the breeze coming up the mountain. After that, it was my arrangement."
After Li Xiuyuan heard this, he was really stunned.
He lowered his head and thought for a long time before replying softly: "There are indeed some things in this world that are worth cherishing."
Gongyang Bo said with a smile: "After the couple came to see the Buddha last year, they regained their vitality. It is not troublesome to go up the mountain to see the Buddha, not to mention eating peach and apricot this time."
"I think it won't be a problem for them to live for another fifty years, but I really didn't expect Qingfeng to be able to last five days without feeling bored."
Li Xiuyuan sighed: "Qingfeng has already become a monk in Dongfang County. He once had a master, but some accidents happened and he wandered outside and was met by Crow and Xiaodie'er."
The old man smiled lightly: "Crow, this kid is interesting. He knows how to find someone to inherit the Buddhist temple for you when you are away from home."
Li Xiuyuan smiled lightly: "I will talk to him tomorrow. As long as he is willing, after I leave, the temple will be handed over to you two."
The old man nodded and asked, "Where do you want to go, sir?"
"East China Sea, go to the East China Sea."
Li Xiuyuan poured a cup of spiritual tea for the old man and said with a smile: "My master reminded me in his dream that we should go to the East China Sea to find a way out."
"The East China Sea, I'm afraid I can't accompany you there."
The old man sighed and said: "I can try to recite it as my husband said, and I won't be able to leave here, let alone go to that sad place."
"Meeting is fate. There is no feast that lasts forever. Seniors, don't be obsessed with meeting and parting."
Li Xiuyuan said sincerely: "Senior, I will not hide it. In all the worlds, this is the first temple that I, Li Xiuyuan, built in the human world, although it looks a bit crude."
When the old man heard this, he couldn't help but sigh again and again.
He said: "I'm afraid only a person with profound Buddhist teachings like Mr. can bring a ray of Buddha's light to the barren mountains of Furong Town and bring a lifetime of vitality."
Li Xiuyuan smiled lightly: "I have always been on the path of cultivation."
While the sun was not out, the breeze came out of the door early.
All the way to the bottom of the mountain, there were no more two old people. I was used to the existence of the old people and the breeze of this kind of practice. I felt a little lost for a while.
So I sat on the stone steps and stared at the big trees in the mountains in a daze.
One day Wu Jian and Helian Ruoxue broke through another level in the pavilion, and he realized a hint of flame from the lines of Buddhist scriptures, which made his current swordsmanship very different from before.
He discussed it with the old man, and the old man told him that only after he understood the sword's intention would there be a soul in the sword's energy.
These days, he followed the method taught to him by the old man, keeping a clear mind and not being disturbed by the things around him, focusing only on the Buddhist scriptures on the iron pillar.
He believed that it would not be long before he could memorize the scriptures on the iron pillars.
Because the crow was always laughing at him, saying that the master had long forced him and his senior sister to memorize the Buddhist scriptures.
Sitting on the stone steps, feeling the breath of heaven and earth, and the gentle breeze, he stretched out his hands and silently felt the faint flame entwining between his fingers.
Just like if he cuts out his sword now, a flame will rush out.
Although he knows that he is still far away from that step, he has already started walking on the road and does not care about the distance.
"You can understand the meaning of the sword just by sitting on the stone steps?"
While I was thinking about it, I heard Li Xiuyuan's voice: "If the old man doesn't come, do you still want to practice?"
Upon hearing this, Qingfeng took a deep breath, looked in the direction of the street, and replied: "It's nothing, I just regard them as my relatives."
Cultivation is his own business and has nothing to do with the old man. Naturally, it has nothing to do with the gentleman on the mountain either.
As Qingfeng climbed up the stairs, she was only thinking about how to persuade Helian Ruoxue to go home in the following days. She could not let her live in the temple forever.
Just as the old man at the foot of the mountain said, if Mr. Hua Jiao and the three of them left that day, and only he and Helian Ruoxue were left in the temple, how would he deal with himself?
Although this is the human world, it is also the pure land of Buddhism, not the imperial city, nor the Duanmu family in Tianshui.
After breakfast, Li Xiuyuan called Helian Ruoxue, Qingfeng and Huajiao into the living room.
Even Crow, who likes to sleep in, got up early today and followed his master to recite Buddhist sutras for an hour. He then lay on the table and stared at the three of them in a daze.
After learning the sword for many days, Li Xiuyuan heard Helian Ruoxue's understanding of the sword's intention, and now he wanted to hear Qingfeng's mood.
Holding a cup of hot tea, Li Xiuyuan thought for a while and asked: "Qingfeng, you have stayed in the pavilion for almost seven days. Tell me, what did you see?"
Upon hearing this, Crow's eyebrows moved but he remained silent.
Huajiao also wanted to know if Qingfeng, like the princess, saw a lake in the long Buddhist scripture.
After Qingfeng lowered his head and pondered for a moment, he replied: "Qingfeng saw the vastness of heaven and earth and the insignificance of me in the Buddhist scriptures; he saw the suffering in the world, the impermanence of life and death, and the tears of the Buddha."
"Thinking about it day and night these days, Qingfeng understands a truth. We who are able to practice will have so many hardships, let alone the hard-working villagers down the mountain."
"There are some truths that Qingfeng can't explain right now. Of course, what I like most is the faint flame, like a blazing life."
Having said this, Qingfeng clasped his hands and replied, "Thank you, sir, for the opportunity to stay in the pavilion."
After listening to Qingfeng's words, Helian Mingyue couldn't help blurting out: "Sir, why did I only see a drop of water?"
Li Xiuyuan sighed softly and said: "If you are not in Buddhism, you can't see the Buddhist scriptures on the stone pillars, so there is only a drop of water in your eyes."
In Li Xiuyuan's view, this is no wonder Helian Ruoxue. After all, not everyone likes and understands Buddhism.
Hearing the Tao is just a cause, thinking about it, and only after practicing it will there be results.
After thinking for a while, he explained to the four people in front of him: "Just like the mountain is here, the temple is here, and there are happy old people waiting on the mountain early to see the Buddha on the mountain."
"There are also villagers who care about their families and their own land. They only look forward to a good harvest and then go up the mountain to see the Buddha. In fact, there is not much difference."
He wanted to say that the iron pillar was there, and that the Dharma, the laws of the world, and the principles of death and life were all there.
Whether he wanted to see it or not, whether he could see it or not, was not something he had to think about.
But if someone like Qingfeng sees some truth, if he comes to ask him for advice with joy, he will naturally be willing to answer his questions like the old man.
Helian Ruoxue frowned slightly after hearing this.
Huajiao sighed, looked at her and consoled her: "Sister, you are different from Qingfeng. He is a monk and you can see that sword intent. Even I envy you."
Helian Ruoxue held her hand and shook her head: "I want to see more truth."
Li Xiuyuan was stunned for a moment. He didn't expect that the two of them saw two different sword intentions. The princess's eyes were like a drop of water, but Qingfeng's heart was filled with a wisp of fire.
At that moment, he couldn't help but praise: "Yes, you can see that flame. You can practice this flame sword intention in the future."
Helian Ruoxue heard this and asked: "Sir, can you achieve the fusion of water and fire? Comprehend two different sword intentions?"
Li Xiuyuan nodded and then shook his head.
Looking at the four people, he smiled bitterly and said: "If you have the chance, you can naturally understand two different sword intentions, but how difficult is it for you to achieve the fusion of water and fire? Even though I have been practicing for many years, I still can't do it now."
The crow couldn't help but croaked when he heard this.
"I think about it. No wonder I always feel that the master is weird. One moment he is water, and the next moment he is fire. It turns out that the master hasn't integrated the two sword energies yet?"
Crow sighed and looked at Qingfeng's old-fashioned lesson: "Qingfeng, first refine your wisp of fire to be like the master, and then think about that drop of water."
"Pfft!" a sound.
Huajiao couldn't help but stroke his feathers and smiled: "It feels like senior brother's tone is becoming more and more like sir."
Li Xiuyuan looked at the three of them and said seriously: "The crow is right. If you don't even start a ray of fire and think about that drop of water, you will drown yourself in the end."
Qingfeng stood up, bowed his head to the ground and asked, "Senior Shanxia said that you must have compassion to practice Buddhism. Where does compassion come from?"
Li Xiuyuan heard the words and sighed leisurely: "Compassion is the foundation of Buddhism. Loving all sentient beings and giving them happiness is called compassion; feeling the same suffering, pitying sentient beings and eradicating their suffering is called compassion."
"The compassion of the Buddha means taking the suffering of all living beings as one's own suffering, and feeling their suffering with the same mind is the great compassion of the same body, and the compassion is the Buddhist Bodhicitta."
"Some monks can cultivate compassion under the teachings of their masters, but some monks are born with compassion and the meaning of Bodhi."
Li Xiuyuan did not praise what Qingfeng had done these days. He didn't know whether this was the teachings of Qingfeng's previous master, or whether Qingfeng was born with a compassionate heart.
In his opinion, none of this is important. As long as Qingfeng has a compassionate heart and a bodhicitta, that is enough.
Qingfeng lowered his head after hearing the words, and quietly thought about the feelings he had after practicing with his master.
Crow couldn't sit still, looked at him and yelled: "Qingfeng, you idiot, the master's meaning is very simple, that is, you can be a little stupid, but you can't become the devil of Furong Town one day."
Qingfeng was stunned when he heard the words, and blurted out: "My master taught me back then that Buddha and demon are one body, and it is just a matter of a thought to be a Buddha or a demon."
Li Xiuyuan nodded and smiled: "The crow knows only a little about Buddhism, so you don't need to pay attention to it. Qingfeng, remember, as long as you have compassion in your heart and hold on to Bodhi, you can realize Buddhism by yourself even if you are possessed by a single thought, and go to the other side from the sea of suffering."
Qingfeng felt happy when he heard this, looked at Crow and said with a smile: "Vajra has an angry look, so he subdued the four demons; a Bodhisattva lowers his eyebrows, so he is compassionate to the six realms. Brother Crow, you must study Buddhism well."
When Crow heard this, he shook his head with a grimace: "Don't try to seduce me, I'm not in a hurry."
Huajiao chuckled: "Not to mention you Qingfeng, even when we encountered the dragon in Fushan, we couldn't make our senior brother change his determination."
Upon hearing this, the crow immediately lay down on the table and drooped its head, because it did not want to recall that painful moment, let alone the scene in the secret realm of Wanren Mountain.
It made up its mind to at least stay with the master and not to be anxious.
Thinking of this, it glared at Huajiao and said, "After I have all my feathers, I can have some fun before we talk."
Huajiao thought of something, looked at Li Xiuyuan in front of her, and asked softly: "Master, how many more days will it take for my senior sister to open that door?"
Qingfeng and Helian Ruoxue were both stunned, and then they remembered that it was Xiaodie'er who saved his life in the mountains.
After so many days, Xiao Die'er didn't wake up, and even Qingfeng and Helian Ruoxue were worried.
Li Xiuyuan spread his hands: "When she gets hungry, she will wake up naturally."
