It rains heavily during the Qingming Festival, but it cannot stop the enthusiasm of the villagers at the foot of the mountain to come to Yunqi Temple.

After the villagers went to the graves to pay homage to their dead relatives, they came to the mountain the next day to fulfill their wishes to the Bodhisattva, hoping for good weather and a good harvest in the new year.

Therefore, Li Xiuyuan, who was not ordained, immediately worried about the abbot and the monk.

While he had to answer questions for the old people who came to the mountain, he also had to instruct them to let their children accompany them when they went up the mountain next time. Even if there were stone steps and stone benches, they had to be careful.

When Xiao Die'er and the other two left the house, they were like birds leaving their nests. There was no reply from them to reassure the master.

Li Xiuyuan and the old man Gong Yangbo opened countless vegetable plots in the back mountain. Until the old man said that if he dug more, he would have to invite the villagers down the mountain to help him eat.

Li Xiuyuan finally calmed down and returned to the temple to continue copying Buddhist scriptures.

He couldn't help the old man's practice at the moment. He just wanted to improve the back of the temple as much as possible, and don't wait until he left to think about the regrets that it was not completed.

Before the Qingming Festival, the old man went down the mountain and said he was going to the mountains and forests to stay with his deceased wife for a few days.

Li Xiuyuan was speechless for a moment. Could it be that his daughter had flown to another world just like Nangong Ruyu's mother?

In the blink of an eye, I thought that the old man was not thinking about him at the moment. I had to give him a place and someone to remember.

On the night of Qingming Festival, Li Xiuyuan sat alone in the living room, guarding a lone lamp and boiling a pot of spring water.

He murmured to himself: "Bodhisattva, after your golden body has been sculpted, do you want to come to this mountain to pray for the people at the foot of the mountain?"

It was raining heavily in the sky, and a breeze came into the living room. Di Zang, who had not been seen for a long time, turned into a breeze and sat opposite Li Xiuyuan.

He stretched out his hand and tapped the table, and said with a smile: "I'm not your master. Why do you still come to trouble me in a different world?"

Li Xiuyuan sighed and said with a smile: "The problem is that I didn't build Master's golden body in the Buddhist hall so that the people at the foot of the mountain can admire it?"

When Ksitigarbha heard this, he could only laugh angrily: "Hezhi, whenever you go to a place in the future, you will build a temple? It seems that there is no serious monk in this temple, right?"

Li Xiuyuan smiled lightly: "When I am here, I can preach for the people at the foot of the mountain. When I leave, there will be an old man who can preach to this world again."

Speaking of this, it was a big worry for Li Xiuyuan.

The temple was repaired, and the road up the mountain was paved with bluestone slabs and even had a lot of stone benches. He was very considerate for the villagers.

But he also thought about what he should do if the old man still didn't find a suitable monk by the time he left.

Thinking of this, he had to play tricks.

While making tea, he smiled and said, "Bodhisattva has a compassionate heart. How about finding a monk in this world, entrusting him with dreams, and asking him to come to Furong Town to practice?"

Ksitigarbha was stunned for a moment, then smiled lightly and said, "How about you practice here for a hundred years?"

Speaking of the dream entrustment, Ksitigarbha also thought about it in his heart. After all, the mountains and rivers here are beautiful and the temples are well built. It is indeed a resort for spiritual practice.

Li Xiu poured spiritual tea into the cup and said with a smile: "I don't have time. I will leave here next spring at most. This side of the world is just a place I pass by."

Regardless of whether the master showed him the way forward, he had to leave here.

If Xiao Die'er wants to practice, she can go anywhere, there is no need to stick here.

This place is more like an extension of the mysterious mountain forest. Li Xiuyuan thought about it for a whole winter and came to a conclusion.

Furong Town was just a place where he could settle his karma with the old man Gong Yangbo and the man named Helian Mingyue.

Huajiao didn't count, because he didn't make way for Huajiao, nor did he look back. Huajiao is his own choice, as well as Crow and Xiaodie'er's choice.

There is one more person on the Heavenly Road, and this Fangtiandao should not make it difficult for him, otherwise the master would have warned him long ago.

"So fast?" Jizo frowned slightly.

"It's not that fast. I couldn't do anything on the Shura battlefield back then.

It has taken me five years, but I haven’t started walking on this heavenly road yet. How can I stay here? "

Li Xiuyuan said quietly: "I have done my duty. Regardless of whether there are descendants of Yunqi Temple, it is the fate of all living beings in this world, not mine."

After spending a whole winter of hard work, Li Xiuyuan suddenly felt a little tired. It was not because of the five forbidden troops he had buried in the soil or the coming wind and rain.

But he was thinking that after he left, would this place become the same as when he came in a few decades?

The temple on the mountain once again collapsed in the wind and rain, turning into a dilapidated temple in disrepair?

Thinking of this, Li Xiuyuan continued: "Bodhisattva, you clearly know that I am just a passerby, why do you want to embarrass me? I still have my own karma to resolve."

Mount Sumeru is there, my father, mother, sister, husband, teacher, mother, brother, and lover are there...

In this way, how could he waste his precious time here? It was really irresponsible. At worst, he would regard this place as the Shura Heaven again.

Think of the ten thousand imperial cities as a demonic realm, and go to the imperial city to talk to Helian Mingyue.

Thinking of this, Li Xiuyuan murmured: "I don't owe that woman anything. The worst I can do is try to reason with her. If it doesn't make sense, let's just compete with each other with fists!"

Ksitigarbha was stunned and blurted out: "Is it possible that you want to treat all the worlds like a jungle?"

"Is it not?"

Li Xiuyuan took a sip of hot tea and replied calmly: "At least, all the heavens I have experienced are places where only those with big fists can speak."

Ksitigarbha was speechless upon hearing this, with a look of compassion on his face.

Looking at the half cup of spiritual tea in his hand, he asked quietly: "So, do you want to come to my place to watch you perform killings again and again? Do you want to turn this into a Shura battlefield?"

Li Xiuyuan was stunned by the Bodhisattva's words. He lowered his head and thought for a long time before laughing.

"The people at the foot of the mountain did not kill. All the faults are on me. If God wants to punish me, just punish me. I have no worries about my debts. I will bear them all."

"Is it possible that I want to watch Huajiao die in the hands of those evil people? Bodhisattva, you know clearly that I am just sitting in the mountains. When did I provoke the wind and rain in the world?"

This was also what Li Xiuyuan felt. With his master absent, this was the first time since his practice that he had cut open in front of Ksitigarbha, like cutting off his own old wounds and exposing them to the sun.

This was also the biggest inner demon he encountered in his practice.

Whether it was Crow or Xiaodie'er, the possessed demons he had encountered before were not considered demons in his eyes.

Only he himself, if one day he cannot convince himself, he is the biggest devil in the world.

At this moment, Li Xiuyuan regarded himself as a demon king and Shura under the abyss, asking Bodhisattva for the way to liberation.

Unexpectedly, Jizo smiled faintly and ignored him at all.

Instead, he said in a solemn voice: "That's just that right now you are still too weak, no different from an ant. When one day you are equal to the sky, you will be the way of heaven..."

Jizo paused for a moment, looked into his eyes and said.

"Think about it, you are the god of heaven in this world right now. Will you shed tears because of a dying old man, or will you be happy for a newborn baby?"

Li Xiuyuan sighed softly when he heard this and murmured: "Living towards death is the rule of heaven and earth. All things born in spring are naturally worthy of joy. The way of heaven cannot be seen in the human world, just like mortals do not understand the heart of heaven."

Having said this, Li Xiuyuan sighed and said seriously: "The Tao is different and we don't want to conspire against each other. This is the Tao of the human world, so it is naturally very different from the Tao of Heaven."

When Ksitigarbha heard this, he immediately became interested and began to discuss the Dharma with him.

He smiled and said, "You taught the Empress of the Tang Dynasty that grasshoppers in the mountains have a Tao, a leaf has a Tao, officials at the foot of the mountain have a Tao, and kings in the imperial city have a Tao."

"And in the end, you want them to try to fear heaven and earth and understand the ruthless way of heaven. What's the point of this? Don't you say that the way of the world is completely different from the way of heaven?"

Li Xiuyuan also thought about it, clapped his hands, nodded first, and then shook his head.

He replied: "How similar are the ways of kings in my mind? They are all aloof. When have you ever seen the suffering of the world? As an emperor, when have you ever truly sympathized with the suffering of everyone in the world?"

Ksitigarbha heard this and was speechless for a moment.

Li Xiuyuan continued: "Let's talk about the three thousand worlds that my eldest sister told me that day. If you look at the king as a small piece of heaven, then the heaven above the king is the Tao."

"And is there any difference between the way of heaven in the small world, the way of heaven in the middle world, and even the way of heaven in the big world? Are there different rules between them? How should I face these different rules?"

"If that's the case, doesn't it mean that every king, every monk, and every living being has a Tao in their heart?"

Reaching out and adding two spoonfuls of spring water to the whining kettle, Li Xiuyuan stopped temporarily.

He believed that Ksitigarbha understood what he meant and knew that now was not the best time to discuss the Tao with the Bodhisattva.

If you just encounter a difficult problem, shouldn't you ask the Bodhisattva for advice to relieve your worries?

Ksitigarbha looked at the young man in front of him, stunned and speechless. What Li Xiuyuan discussed with him tonight was beyond the principles and laws that Li Xiuyuan could see at the moment.

In his opinion, he thought it would take fifty years or even a hundred years before Li Xiuyuan would discuss these principles with him. Unexpectedly, tonight, the young man gave him a surprise.

Even so, he still couldn't answer them one by one because he didn't know how to use his own language to solve the problems for the young man in front of him.

In the end, I had to smile bitterly and said: "Buddha's words cannot be explained. You'd better ask your master for advice on these principles."

Li Xiuyuan was stunned for a moment, then frowned and asked, "Is the Bodhisattva also afraid of saying the wrong thing? Or am I unable to understand more truths at the moment?"

Ksitigarbha shook his head and said with a smile: "The road to heaven is just a test on your cultivation path, it does not allow you to become a saint immediately. You still have unfinished cause and effect."

Li Xiuyuan laughed when he heard this: "The Bodhisattva is indeed unreasonable. Then, for the sake of this golden body, you should give some blessings to the villagers at the foot of the mountain, right?"

Ksitigarbha shook his head: "No, if you are here, they will have great blessings; if you leave heaven, they will immediately suffer great suffering. If so, will the world continue to practice Buddhism in the future?"

Looking at the night sky outside the living room, there is only the patter of spring rain in the night sky, and there are no stars.

Li Xiuyuan thought about the couple who wanted to go up the mountain to see the Buddha on the New Year's Day, and couldn't help but sigh softly.

He murmured to himself: "I am not a Bodhisattva, how can I benefit you? I am about to leave, who will protect you in the future?"

These were the most ordinary words, but they expressed Li Xiuyuan's true feelings.

Even Ksitigarbha could not help but sigh in his heart after hearing this, thinking that you have endured the wind and rain for a hundred years on the River of Forgetfulness, and you have been practicing Buddhahood for a hundred years under the abyss.

Unexpectedly, when I came to this world, I still couldn't see through this world of mortals.

Even so, he still didn't explain anything, just because all the reasons were already in Li Xiuyuan's heart. .z.

After thinking about it, Ksitigarbha held a flower in one hand and said quietly: "In this case, let it rain for an hour tomorrow. From Chen hour to Si hour, you are not allowed to tell anyone."

Li Xiuyuan was startled, clasped his hands together and said, "Bodhisattva is compassionate."
