The most clever thing about bandits in the desert is that they can disguise themselves as caravans, and even become one with the long yellow sand, turning themselves into a part of the desert.
In their opinion, if they can't find a suitable opportunity to take action, they will keep following the caravan they want to rob until they wait for the best time.
In this desert with no village in front and no store in the back, it is the best place to bury bones.
A cold arrow was shot out, and the bandits, twice as many as the caravan, roared.
The horse rushed over.
Li Xiuyuan learned from the panic look on the businessman's face that they had no idea when they were being targeted by bandits in the desert.
Just like the wind in the desert, no one knows where it will come from.
The guys in the caravan were panicked, and everyone gathered in a group, waiting for the order from the leading merchant. They knew that there was no way to escape in the desert.
And this middle-aged businessman obviously saw the expressions on the faces of Sanzang and the others.
He immediately clasped his hands with Sanzang and said, "Please Master, please save us."
With a look of compassion on his face, Sanzang took the Zen staff from Li Xiuyuan and asked, "Donor, do you have any way to protect these poor businessmen?"
Li Xiuyuan sighed and nodded.
Killers and bandits are the people he hates the most.
Just like what he told the Bodhisattva, although he has compassion, he is not prepared for killer bandits and monsters that want to devour him.
Looking at the dozens of bandits surrounding them on horseback, everyone was covered with black gauze scarves and their faces could not be seen.
Li Xiuyuan quietly took out a half-moon scimitar, which was the sword of dead ebony.
It is also the favorite weapon of monks in the Western Regions.
For him, a sword is also a sword, just like when his husband taught Mu Mu to practice swordsmanship as a swordsmanship.
The little monk saw his brother take out a strange scimitar, and he immediately became a little more courageous.
He looked at Li Xiuyuan and asked, "Brother Amu, who are these bandits?"
"Just think of them as the wolves that night."
Li Xiuyuan replied quietly, then handed the reins in his hand to Sanzang, and walked step by step towards the surrounding bandits.
He said coldly: "Get out now, I can spare your life."
"Boy, I think you've had enough!"
Riding on a horse, a man from the Western Region looked at Li Xiuyuan and scolded him coldly: "This is a desert, a world for the strong."
Although his face was covered with black gauze, it still couldn't cover the man's beard. Li Xiuyuan had been used to such a face since Liangzhou.
Not to mention, he didn’t know how much he saw in Yuezhi City.
However, this time it is different. As the bandit leader said, this is a desert and a world of strong people.
So he smiled.
He grinned and said: "If you run faster, you can still go home alive. Once I take action, once my brother takes action, you will all be buried here."
Looking at the young man in Western costumes in front of him, the leader of the caravan looked at Sanzang and asked nervously.
That was because he was afraid that Li Xiuyuan would not be able to fight against these bandits. In the eyes of the businessman, money was not the most important thing. What was important was the lives of his group.
This is also the reason why bandits are rampant in the desert.
Upon hearing this, Sanzang glanced at the young monk and said, "Junior Brother Wuliang, can you and Donor Amu protect these benefactors?"
Sanzang didn't feel confident because he had never seen Amu make a move with anyone.
The young monk shook his head and said coldly: "Brother and Wuliang are here, no one can hurt senior brother, don't worry."
Sanzang sighed, took the reins from the young monk, and led the three horses back. He didn't know how to fight, but he wanted to leave with the horses.
"Kill that boy and steal these goods!"
"Boy, be brave and don't dirty our brother's knife!"
A group of bandits roared loudly. In their eyes, Li Xiuyuan was just a boy slightly older than the young monk. How could he be their opponent?
At this time, Li Xiuyuan released his spiritual consciousness and looked at the bandits, who were a group of nearly a hundred people, and scanned their black-veiled faces one by one.
Then he got angry!
In anger, he did not shout out the name immediately. He just decided that he would not let go of someone in the bandit team today no matter what.
A monk from the Western Regions whom he let go in front of No. 47 Wine Shop.
A young man named Yang Jue, a guy who wanted to attack Qin Xiangyu Hongchen Inn, a young man who brought monks from the Western Regions to surround and kill him several times.
At this time, he was holding a scimitar with a strange arc in his hand. This was a weapon that he had never used before.
He looked coldly at the bandits who were only three feet away from him and said, "Come fight!"
It was such a scimitar that woke up at this moment.
Li Xiuyuan stood in the vast yellow sand, with dozens of caravan guys behind him, as well as Sanzang and the young monk.
The young monk roared, rushed forward with his iron sword in hand, and stood beside Li Xiuyuan.
Like a little tiger coming down the mountain, he shouted to Li Xiuyuan: "Brother, Wuliang is here to help you."
Li Xiuyuan sighed. He originally planned to overthrow these bandits alone, but at this moment he changed his mind. He wanted to break the young monk's killing path today.
Just killing the wolf was not enough. He wanted the young monk to be ruthless and kill the unreasonable bandits in front of him with his own hands.
Perhaps they sensed Li Xiuyuan's determination to fight to the death.
The bandit leader with a big beard on the horse shouted: "Put down all the goods, you two will cut off one of your arms, and I will let you leave alive."
When the merchant leader heard this, he immediately shouted: "Don't kill us..."
The meaning is obvious, we are willing to offer goods as long as we can survive.
Li Xiuyuan sighed, looked into the void and murmured to himself: "Bodhisattva, am I being sentimental? Are all living beings really worth saving?"
No Bodhisattva's voice came from the void. Perhaps the Bodhisattva at this moment did not want to see these pitiful sentient beings.
Li Xiuyuan, who was already a man of iron heart, wanted to save these poor businessmen just because Sanzang was a compassionate man.
Unexpectedly, these guys betrayed the three of them first.
Thinking of this, Li Xiuyuan said coldly to the young monk: "Wuliang, do you want to save these poor guys?"
Wuliang thought for a while and replied: "Master said that living beings can betray me, but I cannot abandon living beings."
"The old monk is confused!"
Li Xiuyuan pointed the machete in his hand at the bandit leader in front of him and said, "Do you believe it? I slapped my butt and left, leaving you to kill them all with blood everywhere?"
】
With a sound of "Wang!", the bandit leader who had already drawn the scimitar at his waist was obviously stunned.
He didn't expect that the painting style would change so quickly, and the young man would fall out of his mind faster than he could turn the pages of a book.
The boy who wanted to be a hero just a moment ago, fighting for these poor guys, suddenly changed his mind because of a word or an expression from the business leader.
Even he couldn't make such a decision.
Thinking of this, Li Xiuyuan and the young monk couldn't help but laugh up to the sky, laughing extremely unrestrainedly.
Pointing at a group of shivering businessmen, he said, "Do you know this? They are more afraid of death than the wolves in the wilderness. They are not worth your efforts."
"As a token of respect for you, I don't have to cut off your arms. Let's take that monk and escape."
The bandits were after the caravan goods. Seeing that Li Xiuyuan had changed his mind, even the two young men were unwilling to risk their lives.
Because the bearded bandit leader saw the young monk's cultivation and he didn't want to take risks.
"Brother..." The little monk was anxious. In his world view, there was no reason to let bandits kill people.
Unexpectedly, Li Xiuyuan interrupted him and said coldly: "What does it have to do with me on the opposite side of the Fire Mountain? Are they worthy of our brothers' action?"
After saying this, he slowly put back the unsheathed scimitar.
Playing the piano depends on his mood, and killing bandits also depends on his mood.
Li Xiuyuan was in a bad mood at this moment. He didn't even bother to deal with the bandits in front of him who were roaring and about to charge forward.
Just when Li Xiuyuan was about to turn around, Sanzang, who was sitting on the ground, sighed.
He said quietly: "The World Honored One speaks the Dharma to save countless sentient beings... Amu, I am the Buddha who is compassionate."
Li Xiuyuan was startled when he heard the words. He turned to look at Sanzang who was chanting sutras with lowered eyebrows and shook his head: "I say, monk, you can't save them just by chanting sutras. All living beings are not worthy of your going to hell."
The five-foot Zen staff was inserted into the yellow sand and stood beside Sanzang. A faint ray of light fell down and enveloped him.
Its brilliance failed to cover these caravan men and horses, and even the young monks could not be enveloped.
Perhaps, the Bodhisattva at this moment only needs to bless the Buddha who has mercy and compassion in her heart.
A group of businessmen were so frightened that they could not speak. They all looked at the leader who said the wrong thing, and everyone's eyes were filled with anger.
It's not easy for someone to come forward. Why do you want to provoke him if you don't want to die?
Li Xiuyuan sighed at this time and said with a bitter smile: "Bodhisattva, I am not a citizen of this world. Even if they all die, it is none of my business."
At the same time, a masked bandit couldn't stand Li Xiuyuan's nagging anymore. He waved the scimitar in his hand, clapped his horse and rushed towards Li Xiuyuan.
He yelled: "Either die or get out!"
No one thought that before the leader of a group of bandits issued an order, this guy could no longer bear it and rushed towards Li Xiuyuan with a knife.
The sonorous sound echoed in the ears of a group of bandits and caravan leaders amid the lightning flash. The young monk was so startled that he jumped aside, drew out his sword and was about to strike out...
Only then did he realize that the bandit on horseback who rushed up fell straight back, falling like a tree stump under the yellow sand.
And it’s still a headless corpse!
No one saw when Li Xiuyuan pulled out the scimitar that had been sheathed, and no one saw clearly how he killed the bandit on the horse with one blow.
The frightened horse spread its legs and rushed into the vast desert, knowing that death was waiting for him, and it wanted to escape from here.
For just a moment, it saw the light of death in the boy's eyes.
"Namo Amitabha..." Sanzang, who was sitting on the ground, recited the rebirth mantra. He couldn't control Amu, let alone the bandits.
The only thing he could do was to read a scripture for the dead bandit.
"Ah...kill people!" A new guy from the caravan screamed.
"Brother, kill this kid!" The bandits on horseback dismounted one after another, and unsheathed their scimitars, ready to rush forward and fight Li Xiuyuan.
Sighing, Li Xiuyuan raised his head and looked at the bandit leader who was still on horseback. The bearded man laughed.
"According to my original intention, I want to leave, but that monk is so compassionate that he can't bear to see these poor guys die under your sword. Why don't you fight with me?"
As he spoke, he sent a message to the young monk behind him who was yelling and about to take action: "You can't beat this guy. Let me deal with him, and you go deal with those few..."
To break the young monk's murderous ways, he had to let this guy do it himself.
The bandit leader was so angry that his beard was shaking. He coldly jumped off his horse and came to a place five feet in front of Li Xiuyuan.
He slowly drew his sword, pointed it at Li Xiuyuan and said, "I'm going to kill both of you, and the monk will die too. No one in this caravan will be able to leave this place alive!"
