Sanzang stayed at the First Beacon for three days.
General Wang Xiang, who was guarding the beacon, taught the Dharma for three days, allowing Wang Xiang to understand what the Four Noble Truths of Buddhism were.
The Four Noble Truths are the four kinds of suffering, cessation, cessation, and path.
Truth is the truth that is true and has no falsehood, that is, truth, and voice-hearing.
The Four Truths include two kinds of cause and effect. One is the cause and effect in the world, that is, the two truths of suffering and collection. The truth of suffering is the worldly effect, and the truth is the worldly cause.
The second is transcendental cause and effect, namely the two truths of cessation and Tao. The truth of cessation is the transcendental effect, and the truth of path is the transcendental cause.
If you understand the principles of the Four Truths, you can know how to eliminate the accumulation of suffering, how to cultivate the path of cessation of admiration, and obtain the happy fruit of Nirvana, the cessation of truth.
The truth of suffering includes three sufferings and eight sufferings.
The three sufferings are suffering, suffering, and suffering.
The eight sufferings refer to the suffering of birth, old age, illness, and death, the suffering of separation from love, the suffering of meeting with enemies and hatred, the suffering of not being able to seek what you want, and the suffering of the five yin beings burning.
All kinds of suffering in the world are the result of one's own delusions and karma.
The truth of origin is the cause of suffering. All kinds of karma caused by all the troubles in the world, and the consequences of karma, resulting in all kinds of suffering.
The truth of cessation is the fruit of transcendent happiness. The truth of annihilation is to eliminate the troubles and the burden of life and death, transcend the three realms, and thereby be freed from the six paths of reincarnation and life and death.
The truth is the cause of transcendental happiness. The Tao is the Taoist grade, which is the Thirty-seven Assistant Taoist grades. The way to get rid of all kinds of suffering is to cultivate the Tao and cut off and destroy the cause of suffering...
Standing on the tall beacon, Sanzang's eyes were filled with vitality and endless desolation.
He said quietly: "To General Yu, this place is a prison where you have been imprisoned for seven years, but to me it is paradise."
"When I walked in the desert, drank the last drop of water, and saw the dead, the place where the general was was the paradise in my dream."
Wang Xiang sighed and said with a wry smile: "I am enjoying myself in hardship. I look forward to the night during the day, and I don't want to wake up from my dream at night."
"Listening to the monk's lectures these days has made me feel a little relieved and I have understood some things..."
Since there is no hope of leaving temporarily, for Wang Xiang, he can only treat his foreign country as his hometown and continue to live here.
Sanzang shook his head, looked at him and said: "I heard that the war at the border is about to start. The general is guarding here. It is like a paradise in the world. There is no need to go to the battlefield..."
Wang Xiang was shocked when he heard this, and was suddenly speechless.
There was going to be a war in the Tang Dynasty, and they had already received the battle report from Liangzhou. It seemed that they were staying here, and as the monk said, they were in the same comfortable place.
Sanzang murmured: "A place where the mind is at peace is where the body is at peace. A foreign country can also be a home."
…
"A place of peace of mind is a place of peace of mind. Can a foreign country be my hometown?"
Li Xiuyuan withdrew his spiritual consciousness from looking at the beacon, stretched out his hand and handed the kettle in his hand to the young monk beside him.
He smiled bitterly and said: "But where I am physically and mentally is where my heart is, I always regard this foreign country as my hometown... Sanzang and I have two completely different thoughts."
He didn't dare to give the young monk too much to drink, so he only drank two sips of water soaked in ling peach a day.
Finally, on the second day, the little monk no longer had a fever.
It is now the third day. According to Li Xiuyuan's prediction, the young monk will have a chance to break through to the golden elixir realm tonight.
This was also the last thing he did for the young monk. From now on, he would have to rely on his own practice.
He no longer has a fever, and the young monk's energy has improved a lot. He can chat with Li Xiuyuan once a day.
Despite the hardships along the way, these three days seemed to him the happiest and happiest time.
Because there is enough water, this kind of suffering is something he has never experienced before, and I am afraid that even the masters in the temple have never felt this kind of pain.
Sanzang was giving lectures to Wang Xiang and saying his final goodbyes.
Wang Xiang looked forward and said: "Monk, don't go to the second beacon. Not every general can let you go. You go around to the west."
"Detour eight hundred miles to the Mohe Yanqi Desert. As long as you can find the Wild Horse Spring, you can pass through the desert of death and walk out..."
Sanzang nodded and pointed forward: "Now that I'm here, there's no reason to go back."
…
That night, a Buddha's light rose up in the desert, gathering starlight all over the sky.
Shining in front of Li Xiuyuan.
The young monk who left the imperial city and his master finally broke through to the golden elixir realm of his dreams with the help of Li Xiuyuan after a serious illness.
The young monk, who had just suffered a serious illness and then suffered a serious breakdown, was finally overwhelmed and fell down in his sleeping bag to dream.
Once again, Li Xiuyuan was left alone looking at the two horses in a daze.
Looking at the bright moon in the sky, Li Xiuyuan sighed.
He poured a glass of spiritual wine, raised his glass to the bright moon, and murmured: "The moon was shining brightly at the time of Qin and the pass of Han. I saw that the army of the Tang Dynasty was about to cross Guanshan..."
Even he did not expect that Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty would take back the humiliation Liu Bang suffered back then.
Thinking about it, I couldn't help but curse: "Zhang Liang, you are such an idiot."
Three cups and two cups of spiritual wine will make the long night clear.
Before dawn, Li Xiuyuan walked back and forth twice to let the horses drink enough water, and then filled all the containers with water.
Halfway through the hour, Sanzang led the horse slowly out of the first beacon and headed into the desert.
Li Xiuyuan and the young monk led the two horses in a large circle, followed from a distance, and waited to meet Sanzang at the front.
Overnight, the little monk transformed, his cultivation more than doubled, and he was finally able to face the wolves in the wilderness and the bandits on the road.
Feeling the changes in his body, the little monk asked: "Brother, what's going on with my body?"
Li Xiuyuan smiled slightly and said, "You broke through the realm overnight and are already a great monk at the second level of Jindan cultivation."
The young monk was startled and murmured: "If the master sees Wuliang's appearance, he will definitely be happy."
"He, of course he is very happy."
Sighing, Li Xiuyuan said seriously: "Suffering from this serious illness has made you grow up a lot overnight. The long road ahead will be long, and it will be up to you two."
"So, brother, don't you want Wuliang?"
Afraid of Li Xiuyuan's sudden departure, the little monk said nervously and even tightened the reins of the horse.
Shaking his head, Li Xiuyuan replied: "No, there are still eight hundred miles of desert ahead. I will accompany you all the way to Suiye City, don't be afraid."
The little monk breathed a sigh of relief and laughed.
Pointing to the front not far away, he said: "Look, Senior Brother Sanzang has already walked in front of us."
Li Xiuyuan replied: "It seems that the general here is good. It is incredible that he let Sanzang leave."
After walking two miles, the two caught up with Sanzang in front.
The young monk looked at Sanzang and patted his chest and laughed: "Senior brother, Wuliang's illness is cured."
Sanzang has been worried about the little monk's health these days. Seeing him jumping around so much, he couldn't help but clasp his hands with Li Xiuyuan.
Said: "I am grateful to the donor for curing Wuliang."
Li Xiuyuan nodded and asked, "Has General Shou Feng here shown you the way forward?"
"General Wang Xiang asked me not to continue to Sifeng behind, but to go to the Mohe Yanqi Desert in the southwest. He said that there is a wild horse spring in the eight hundred miles of desert."
Sanzang took a breath and said quietly: "That spring is my life-saving place. Only by finding that sacred spring can it be possible to get out of the Mohe Yanqi Desert."
"Eight hundred miles of yellow sand..."
Li Xiuyuan sighed and glanced at the young monk again. It seemed that before the three of them walked into the Mohe Yanqi Desert, they would use the elixir given by the Taoist.
At least let the two of them be stronger and let the little monk break through again.
He even asked the three horses to drink some elixir soup to increase their chances of survival. Eight hundred miles of yellow sand was something he had never experienced even when he and Xiao Hei were in Shenlong Continent.
That year, the two of them went exploring in the long desert. Before they had gone dozens of miles, they were taken to that mysterious place by a storm.
The place where the thousands of miles of Styx River begins.
It is really magical to think about the heavens and the world. In the long river of time, you have to conquer these 800 miles of yellow sand step by step with Sanzang and the young monk.
"Amu, are you afraid that senior brother and I won't be able to get out?"
Although he knew that his brother was very capable, the young monk was frightened when he heard that there was only one spring and he had just experienced the pain of water shortage last time.
Li Xiuyuan shook his head, took out the compass and looked at the direction.
Pointing to the front, he said: "The road is at your feet, and the Buddha is also in your heart. Believe in yourself."
Upon hearing this, Sanzang stretched out his hand to touch the young monk's head, and said with compassion on his face: "This follow Feng Shuang has made Junior Brother Wuliang suffer."
Wuliang shook his head: "Wuliang can go to Tianzhu with Senior Brother Sanzang, I really like it, it's not bitter."
Li Xiuyuan looked at the two people and said quietly: "Don't say eight hundred miles to Mohe Yanqi, even if it is a thousand miles, we have to get through it."
Sanzang nodded and said, "Almsgiver has mercy."
"Eight hundred miles of desert, there is only one source of water."
On the deserted mountain, the old Taoist looked at the Bodhisattva in front of him and smiled bitterly: "That little monk is about to die due to a high fever. Bodhisattva, you are not merciful to save his life."
The Bodhisattva sighed and said quietly: "Who in the world is not suffering? I just wanted to see how that young man created miracles, but I didn't expect..."
Until now, Bodhisattva has not figured out how Li Xiuyuan cured the young monk.
Because the old Taoist priest did not appear, Li Xiuyuan did not even enter the first beacon along the way.
"This is a miracle. The boy obviously has the elixir I gave him. Why didn't he know how to make the medicine for the little monk and take a sip?"
The old Taoist complained: "It seems that boy's heart is a bit harder than yours, Bodhisattva."
"You're talking nonsense again. I see you panic when you are anxious."
The Bodhisattva murmured: "The elixir of yours is too strong for a sick child to take randomly. Even if you want to take it, you have to wait until he recovers before taking the medicine."
…
The three of them walked in the desert for three days and were about to enter the Mohe Yanqi Desert.
At nightfall, Li Xiuyuan found a place to camp in the boxwood bushes behind him.
He decided to cook a magical elixir tonight and give it to the two men and the three horses to eat, regardless of whether Sanzang could break through the realm or how many realms the young monk could break through.
Even if Sanzang really becomes a holy monk one day, it will not affect the national destiny of the Tang Dynasty.
The little monk smelled the faint aroma of medicine and couldn't help but leaned his head and asked: "Amu, what kind of treasure is in this pot? Why does it smell like medicine?"
Li Xiuyuan touched his head and said: "You, Monk Sanzang, and a few horses are too weak. I will boil a pot of elixir for you so that you can get out of Mohe Yanqi alive..."
Upon hearing this, Sanzang showed a compassionate and solemn expression on his face.
Looking at the two people, he said: "My Buddha is merciful. I would like to thank the donor for your kindness. Tripitaka and Junior Brother will bear it in their hearts."
Li Xiuyuan shook his head and smiled faintly: "We meet by fate, whether it is for a moment or for a lifetime. I am just a passerby on your way forward, so there is no need to bear it in mind."
The young monk chuckled: "Senior brother, just listen to Amu. Amu is also Wuliang's elder brother."
"Amitabha, you are so good. It is a pity that this young man does not enter Buddhism."
The Bodhisattva looked at the old Taoist in front of him and said with a smile: "When will you meet such a disciple?"
The old Taoist waved his hand and said with a wry smile: "I gave that boy a chance, but he ignored me?"
The Bodhisattva shook his head: "Your paths are different. You are just passing by here, but he wants to see all the wind, flowers, snow and moon of the Tang Dynasty in this long river of time."
